Jess went with me to check out the cooler weather after the rain. I am really enjoying this little character. Jess in fall by SteamWitch, on Flickr
Thank you!, Kind of, maybe kid size, Jess is about 23cm tall, Azone pure neemo Thank you!!! Jess is easy to take places.
Okay, I have an obitsu girl about the same size though I've hardly touched her this past year but I may have to pull her ouy. I really should make her a new wig but I'm not looking forward to the prospect when it means working with such a tiny head.
It's been a while since I last was active on this side of the forum, but life is such a pain sometimes. I'm always in awe, at the variety of amazing dolls and figures everyone posts on here. Everything is so tempting! SteamWitch, your Kirito shelf is super cool! I have something similar for Sasuke and Sephiroth; I wish I could do the same for all the other characters I collect, but the space is just not happening. Lol! (: I wasn't planning on spamming on here anymore, because boxed toy-hauls are probably very boring for most who don't hoard and I mostly don't unbox my stuff unless I get multiples or want to customize them (which, often means multiples anyway with the exception of 1:6 action figures). However, I received Sephiroth yesterday, and I'm in love, so I decided to spam him everywhere (in box sadly, until I can get a second one to unbox -- I got the Advent Children version, but haven't unbox him yet... it's been years now!). Square Enix Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII: Remake Sephiroth non-scale action figure: His box He was released on October 13, but the rest is my September haul, just got here just a few days before he did: My August haul; Eren was stuck at DHL for almost three weeks due to our California "wild-fires," which took about five years off my life (the fire evacuation I mean), if I'm not an exaggerated old fart:
Love that Sephie! I have a Vincent kicking around here somewhere. I believe he was the AC version but I could be wrong. Anyway since I was talking about her I'll share a pic of my obitsu Marie.
@TwistedRiver, I'm a huge Sephiroth fan since the original version of the game, so I own all Play Arts and PAK figures based on him (and the Bring Arts, except for the version w/sleeping plate, which is the same as the regular, but was SQ-e-store exclusive). I also own both Vincent Play Arts figures and both PAK; he is my second favorite character in FFVII -- the Advent Children PAK came out in 2013, and the Dirge Of Cerberus one in 2018, if that helps. Your Marie is super cute, I'm having a hard time not adding Obitsu to my collection, they have so many customizable parts it's hard to resist. More so with Volks no longer making their Dollfie line, I only own two of their 1:6 mature head sculpts, but the 11cm body and intended heads are quite tempting. (:
Looking at pictures I'm pretty convicted my Looking at pictures I'm pretty convinced my Vincent is the Advent version. Unfortunately he's packed away somewhere in the garage storage or I could no for sure. You're the opposite of me Vincent was my favorite character in the game just before Sephie who I also adore and right behind them was Reno. (did they ever make a nice Reno figure?) Marie is my only obitsu but I would love to get one of the 11cm ones. For the longest time she was without a head and got her name from Wednesday Addams' doll, but a few years back I broke down and bought one from Junkyspot for her. I've got my eye on a couple different 11cm second hand obitsus but until payday I can't let myself seriously look into getting one. I love how poseable they are and someday I want to get magnetic feet and a metal stand just because of some of the more dynamic poses that could be made.
They did just recently released a very nice Reno, whom I also like very much, and own the OG Play Arts figure, but I would still love to get this recent Remake release. He's really beautiful from what I have seen from Japanese reviewers. He looks a lot closer to his prototype than Sephiroth does. However, I just got myself a second Sephiroth just today (luckily!), so I won't be able to afford Reno for a while, but I hope he won't sell out everywhere before I can get one. I was saving for my MYOU mature tiny male, but now I'll have to start all over again. I have a million other pre-orders due out in November and December, so I can't even go look at Obitsu right now... a custom Wednesday Adams sounds super cool! I'm such a terrible hoarder, I probably shouldn't be contemplating new customs before completing the ones I already have going on. Lol! (: Tasuke, beautiful collection! I love the Hatsune Miku ones, I'm always tempted to get at least one of the prize figures based on her, but I'm trying to limit my female-anime/licensed-characters I purchase (I already hoard too many males as is). (:
My budgets currently tied up in other hobbies with the exception of one artist doll I'm preordering on payday that I can't even think of looking up the new Reno. I'll wait until money's freed up and hope he won't cost me an arm and a leg.
Well, other than Cloud, most FFVII PAK don't seem to sell out right away. Sephiroth did sell out when the Advent Children PAK was released a few years ago, but not right away; he hasn't sold out yet, right now either. However, it seems like their sales are going much slower this year than ever before, so maybe they won't re-release the other characters again -- other than Cloud, who seems to sell pretty well. I'm afraid they won't do a re-release for Sephiroth, that's why I went and used my saved Myou money on him -- last time I did wait for them to re-release him, because by the time I was ready to get a second one, he was sold out. Otherwise I would have waited for a re-release this time as well, but I don't feel like they will do any re-releases for him. Reno is still in-stock at most Japanese retailers, so I am also hoping he won't sell out by the time most of my other pre-orders are paid for. With DHL shipping, both my Sephys cost me around $140-145USD, so not too bad (IMHO). I can't say what they go for on non-Japanese retailers, since I don't usually shop on there for Japanese figures, but they are much less than what they are on the USA Square Enix webstore. I will keep my fingers crossed for both of us, that we can get Reno, at retail or at least not for an eye off the face. (; *I meant each Sephiroth cost me that much, not both for that price. Lol! That would have been a mega-deal.
Sell right now I'm having to shift things around in my budget for a €45 doll just to afford him and shipping costs so I'm hoping Reno will be there for a long while lol. Other than bjd company sites I've never shopped non us sites which I'm sure means I have to pay a lot more for my items.
I collect Integrity Toys dolls and was very excited to win a right to buy lottery for this lovely Poppy Parker.
She is stunning! Can see why you were excited. I've been working on taking a pic of a different doll each day and today was my hujoo nanofreya Easter's turn. Realize now I should have dusted him a bit before his photoshoot.
@Enzyme: I think it's great to see the fun stuff others get, there's so much out there that I have no idea about!
Here's the new 1/6 Azone Alice (Meryl) I got to add to my collection, I am super picky about these as Azone is constantly putting them out and I can only get a couple more before my shelf is filled
She is precious! I love everything wonderland related and your girl is no exception. As a side note, I think I have that exact same jewelry box/wardrobe for some of my dolls.
Lovely new additions, everyone^^! Two weeks ago I attended a european online doll event called Festiv'at Home (thinned out covid proof version of LDoll Festival) which was quite fun, and I got these two OOAK vampire themed Potelettes by Le Mouton en Sucre that arrived earlier this week (wanted to get a lot more from her, but budget said no=_=. Also I also put the black cat themed Potelette in my basket, but between that and checking out somebody snatched that one:P). I have a thing for bat winged (Jack O'Lantern) pumpkins, there's several on the throne I'm making for my pumpkin prince too (one of which you can see peeking in the background on the photo), and I've been wanting a Potelette for a long time, so I couldn't let these two go^^. They each come with a scary and a sweet faceplate, as well as a top hat, a tiny little cauldron and their pumpkin top. They're the pumpkin prince's familiars, kind of like Hugin and Mugin the ravens to Norse God Odin. Bat Potelettes by jefvonk, on Flickr
@ShuriTigerH: Wow, good for you! So many wonderful piece from this artist, I love It! VIEW BJD'S: Login • Instagram
I agree, it is awesome learning about toys you would have probably never hear or see otherwise. (: I imagine it's boring to see toys in box. However, as a weirdo I love keeping mine MISB, but I can't think most people loving seeing and endless see of photos of boxed toys. DX I do plan on posting more toys, just not spam a my MISB hoarding habits, or at least try really hard not to spam. lol! n___n I love seeing your collections of beautiful girls! Alice is one of my weaknesses as well, but I try to keep myself controlled, since I don't want to spend a fortune on Japanese fashion dolls, when anime male figures are getting pretty expensive with every coming release -- the Azone girls are particularly hard to resist. TwistedRiver, congrats on owning a nano Freya! I own a Hujoo sleepy Wings but sorely regret not getting more of their 30cm dolls when they were still making them. (: ShuriTigerH, those pumpkin critters are super adorable, thanks for sharing. n__n I got my second Square Enix PAK Sephiroth non-scale action figure, so I unboxed it for a bit to take a few photos. I am planning on repainting his lips, because they seem to have missed a lot of the lower lip. I'm super happy with my Sephiroth figures, they are gorgeous, even if they are not perfect when it comes to their paint apps. I also got a pair of 1:6 boots, for one of my WIP twin cosplayers, but I kind of missed the part where these have sculpted feet, so they might not work for that project anymore. We'll see.
Those pumpkins are precious and I'm sure they'd make great familiars. Especially like the one on the left. I am heartbroken I didn't get more Hujoo dolls when I had the chance, I've got Easter my nano freya and Kikwimy baby Cojoo: Really is a shame when companies just silently disappear. Love the new addition to your Sephie collection, hope you're able to figure out those boots.
I... gave in and bought a Rainbow High doll. They're just so cute. They hit this kinda My Little Pony appeal for me with the eyes and everything. Monster High just never tempted me much because the bodies were too spindly for my proportion preferences but these dolls have curvy little solid bodies that I won't be afraid to pose.
I can totally relate to the pony thing. I originally purchased Rainbow girls with the intent to fully customize at least one but they're just too perfect as is so I'm going to need to get dupes. I think that mlp vibe is why I have this feeling about them and need to seek out extras if I want to change them too much.
It just hits right in the childhood. I grew up with MLP back in the early 90s. So this is her- Someone chopped her hair into a little bob cut but for some reason that made me want her more? She actually looks really cute like this. So I'll just tidy her haircut up a little and give her a good clean and some hairstyling gel and she'll be ready for outfits.
I grew up with the original mlps and they hit me right in the childhood too. Your girl is adorable! Love the haircut on her.
This is Karin, my Hujoo Sara. I just gave her a faceup! (My third. I can see the improvement.) She's a pain to restring and it's really tough to remove her head. Her legs are strung separately and the provided s hook is small and wimpy. Plus there's no notch or groove to rest it on while the head's off. I spent probably forty five minutes just trying to put her head back on! Well, that and rettach her legs... https://i.ibb.co/PNDbQBs/20211120-131732.jpg
Oh she looks so sweet! If you need to change s hooks, your local hardware store will have some in a couple of sizes with the small hardware like wingnuts and nails. I've always used metal crochet hooks under the elastic when I take the heads off dolls, and you can temporarily stick some felt or a rubber kip with a slot cut in it between the neck and the metal for extra scratchproofing. Here's my Rainbow High doll. She's a Violet that someone gave a bob cut to. I evened that out and tried YoSD sized clothes on her but the skirt only just fits her hips not her waist, whereas the top is too large. She's a whole new shape to sew for! I did get her a sequined dress and some things from her original toy line so she'll have some clothes before i can sew her stuff though.
Lately I've really started to get into taking photos and playing with my Nendoroids as opposed to just hoarding them lol On a journey to get more suitable clothing for the ones I've turned into dolls, as well customizing some characters who won't ever get official releases. Mobei Jun and Shang Qinghua especially Really like the custom Sukuna faceplates I was able to get, will have to see how they compare to the official release when he finally drops
These guys are so cute! I'd love to get some Nendoroid heads and ob11 bodies as little dolls with their varying faceplates, but I don't know much about them yet or where to do that, so if I don't look it up I won't be tempted, LOL! My pukipukis need more attention as it is.
@ShuriTigerH , love your little Jack-o'-Lanterns!! So cute and colorful. My Doll Family A Kai posed for a flickr challenge. He's a real street fighter. #Streets by Nadine, on Flickr
@ShuriTigerH @phanuel: Have you seen LUTS Zuzu Animal Delf Kong Devilish? (ends Jan.24) I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in.
Apologies for the low lighting/blurriness, but I finally decided to get some pics of my Doll Family A DuoDuo with their silly chunky clown faceup (which also happened to be my first ever; probably will touch it up and fix things in the near future).
@stellarphenomena I literally just came across Kong a few minutes ago when I randomly checked out FaithZ. I think he's going to be my birthday present to myself^^.
OT dolls? Who's ready for some Barbie! My "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" Barbie. Captain Marvel playline head on a Phicen body. Fashion Fever Kayla on a Silkstone body, and a Hello Kitty Barbie on a Jazz Babies body: Some Tonner dolls (Phyn & Aero Just Rayne in the middle), Billie Eilish, Barbie, and some MLPs: My little DC collection of WW and Mera, plus a Hot Toys Harley Quinn head and outfit on a very terrible cheap body: My favorite Fashionista Barbie on the Made to Move Dancer curvy body wearing Etsy jeans: More Barbies: Some more Barbies (and a Fail Fix): Sooo many Barbies: Spinmaster Liv doll head on a Rainbow High Body, and three LOL OMGs (the only ones I like): Horsman Ltd. There's so many cool additions since I last posted on here. Thanks everyone for sharing your wonderful collections. I'm spamming a few of my more recent hauls, since the last time I posted. I hoarded quite a bit, but most were delayed releases, others were multiple purchases of the same item. Some were orders from a year ago (GameToys Sephiroth!). November 2021: Spoiler: Random Western Fashion Dolls & Muzan Prize figure Here's my repainted 3D modeled resin artist-cast RE4 Leon S. Kennedy head. He fell, so I had to "fix" him but kind of decided to wipe all of his face (sans his hair), and just redo his face again. I haven't applied gloss to his eyes yet -- I'm a bit scared to try, because I know I love adding ludicrous amounts, when I know I shouldn't. December 2021: Spoiler: Got an LOL Tween Aya Cherry My GameToys Sephiroth; very much like a DIM Minimee, it is an unlicensed figure, but the head, body, clothes, wing, belts, pauldrons, were all sculpted and tailored by Gametoys. They are all original parts created by them, pretty much like a Minimee or fan-art, or cosplay that are sold without licenses, but all the work was done by them. The design doesn't belong to them, and they don't have permission to create it, but they didn't steal anyone's work. He doesn't look like the actual promos, but he is a gorgeous figure. I am probably going to attempt repainting the lips and adding a bit more shading, like the prototype had. With my Square Enix PAK FFVII Remake figure Also got my Monst Savage Baby body and Chouchou head sculpt, from their official Taobao shop. I am hoping to get the opened mouth head sculpt as well, but they were out of stock. It's not more expensive to get a full-set, but I want to paint my own heads, since these are sold blank as well. I rather go for the blank ones. This one is not intended to have inset eyes, but I want to mod mine to have removable eyes. Not looking forward to carving it, with older-lady-shakier-hands! (: Packaging can be seen here. Blank doll parts can be seen here, with nude body.
@stellarphenomena @ShuriTigerH , that little Luts devil ball is delightful! I'm all dolled up for the moment though, waiting for several mushrooms. But I look forward to seeing owner pics.
I just got a Momoko doll (snapped her up for half off), and these dolls are so TINY. But heavy. I totally understand the cost now - the quality is phenomenal. Integrity Toys good quality. I need to find a decent place to take some pictures. The details are incredible. And with her shoes on, she's a rock solid stander. She also came wrapped head to toe in plastic wrap, which I appreciate, but I don't know how to remove the body suit, so ... the plastic wrap is staying on for the moment. This doll knocks Barbie out of the park.
@MaleficentMrsofEvil , Congrats! I love Momoko but I only have one because I can't collect everything, haha. I look forward to seeing pics.
Finally got my last two Twisted Wonderland nendos! Lots of good fun playing with accessories and outfits.
AZONE Pure Neemo character doll of the main character from the late-2000's Manga, and early-2010's Anime, "Shinryaku! Ika Musume"/"The Squid Girl" a most unusually charming Anime series, and a must-see!! Squid Girl - Wikipedia i've ported her over to the OBITSU 26 (MEDIUM Bust, NATURAL Skintone) which is not only far more aesthetically pleasing overall, -YMMV- but a far and away better proportional match to her rather bulbous head. my old 1999 VOLKS UFS Ah! My Goddess "Skuld" models the original AZONE Pure Neemo body for contrast. i'm working on attempting to alter her original outfit to better fit the much larger OBITSU body. we'll see what i can manage to work out from that...
TBH, i found that "Squiddie" 's rather cartoonishly "flat" Faceup somehow bothered me, particularly when contrasted beside my other girls, and their generally Anime-stylized, yet semi-realistically-nuanced facial appearances. that in mind, i bit the bullet and attempted to suggest some "depth" to her face;
Cute Licca doll with pink hair Licca by Stellar Phenomena, on Flickr Old Takara doll by Stellar Phenomena, on Flickr
Had a chance to take a pic of my Fairyland Absolems for the flickr prompt "fruit". Boys are loving their apple. #Fruit by Nadine, on Flickr
There's already so many more cool toys on here, since I last posted. Everyone's collections are quite varied. It's always fun looking at this thread. Stellarphenomena, I love your Takara fashion dolls. I am always tempted by Licca and the newer #Licca beauties, but I find it hard to bring one home when I hoard so many other toys. Lol! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous girls. Phanuel, those are very neat looking figures, lovely photo as well. (: I partially repainted my GameToys Sephiroth, and I am pretty happy with him all things considered. I suck at painting tiny 3D heads, so I could have done a million times a better job if I didn't suck, nor had shaky-hands-from-h3ll. However, I am in love with the figure in general, so I am happy with how he turned out (for now!). I learned that I need tinier brushes for shading tiny heads. Mine are still a bit too large, despite me thinking otherwise after attempting so many other 1:6 repaints. DX
I finally went ahead and ordered a little devil ball (I LOVE that description) for myself^^. @Enzyme I wouldn't have known he wasn't professionally painted if you hadn't said anything, he looks AMAZING, even more since you have shaky hands! And definitely an improvement, looking back at the original^^. Give yourself credit where it's due. They got here a couple of weeks ago already, but I finally got a decent pic of my Missnekotaku Migalarae spiders (mid winter weather makes for some terrible lighting here): Migalarae by jefvonk, on Flickr
I'm so happy this thread exists among all the ball-jointed dolls. Thanks everyone for the fantastic shares! Here's Dollmore Lukia Pink Sugar
@Enzyme: Nice job, love it!! @phanuel: They're tiny! Adorable photo! @ShuriTigerH: The spiders are fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the Luts devils from those who ordered. @Tasuke: I love her, and think what you did improves her appearance! Twisted Wonderland nendos! @Autumnfallen: Nice! If I had room, Nendos would be something I'd like to collect at least a dozen of. They're so fun!
@ShuriTigerH , love the spider "twins", great colors! @stellarphenomena , cute girl! Her dress reminds me of one of the original Barbie dresses, "Plantation Belle".
@stellarphenomena I asked this same questions to the mods a few months ago and it is a problem forum wide that is a glitch on their end but they haven't been able to correct it. It doesn't matter which hosting site is used for the pics (I've tried photobucket, flikr and ipernity and pics are disappearing from all of them). I've stopped posting pics because they just disappear.
