    6. I got my Dinokitty-Rex today, made by Mab Graves. I guess I'm collecting cute monsters without even realizing it.
Funko Pop Gill-Man and Sanrio Hangyodon, who is basically a cartoon version of Gill-Man, are the other two.

    9. Ooh, a G1 Frankie! Very nice. :)

    10. I LOVE dolls by Alina Varvyanskaya, a BJD artist from Ukraine- but her dolls have painted eyes. So they're off-topic on a technicality, which I'm a bit annoyed about. Anyway, I got one secondhand a few months ago and my other- first direct from the artist -arrived yesterday. Her name is Leona, and I love her insanely detailed outfit. Her pockets are real, even!

And she and my other AV doll, Iris, seem to be very drawn to each other...

    11. Yeah - that's a pain, but at least you found them and have a couple of them - They are very attractive.

I have SO many dolls I consider BJDs regardless of whether they meet al the DoA criteria.

    17. Love all the lovely Halloween theme dollies and whimsical critters! Dollmore Lukia is stunning!

      My monthly Japanese toy hauls are at a sudden halt, because of, we all know who. >__>;;;

I got a few toys from Amzn, and a Top Toys Eaki x Naruto, Sasuke plush pendant and two gashapon figures from eBay. I've been eyeing those or a while, but I had to do a lot of research to avoid accidentally getting a fake one (there's a lot of fakes of these, yikes!). I also got Hello Kitty and Kuromi fashion dolls from Jazzwares, which are insanely cute. The boxes arrived heavily damaged from Amzn, but I also got some from Jazzwares official shop once I saw the condition these arrived in. It seems I was lucky to get a set with pristine boxes (ImaninsaneMISBcollector!).

Here's a closer look at Top Toys Sasuke plush pendant, he is adorable although tinier than expected. I hope to be able to get a Sakura one, although I don't normally collect her, she's adorable as a plush. I wish I could also get Itachi, but I never pay over 50USD for a plush as small as these (he goes for well over 100). He has light blushing on his mittens and feet:

Tiny Sasuke Waiting For Ramen Machibouke figure gashapon, I feel the tiny ramen bowl has something wrtting on the inside boarder, but I can't quite tell:

Another Onemutan Giyu Tomioka gashapon figure, there's still one more I'm missing, then hopefully they'll stop realeasing more (my wallet aches every time there's a new release!).:

I'll be unboxing these, since my set from Jazzwares is in pristine condition, boxes-wise:

    18. I love the Sanrio dolls! I could see myself getting one.

    19. Thanks, I love Lukia's big blue eyes and smoky make up! I always have fun with Halloween.

So adorable, I'm going to look into these.

Thanks for sharing the Sasuke merch as well as Onemutan Giyu Tomioka gashapon - I'm not familiar with, but congrats!

    21. cleverLC, they are the cutest Sanrio fashion dolls ever (probably only ones so far)! I hope they make some of the boys as well (particularly Pochacco, Batzmaru and Chococat). Even if it's just the usual fan favorite Cinnamoroll or Pompompurin. They also have My Melody, but she was on pre-order, and I have zero clue why mine hasn't shipped yet, if anyone is interested but doesn't particularly want HK or Kuromi. (:

stellarphenomena, Halloween is super fun, I always have plans to dress up or make stuff for my dolls, yet every single year I fail to complete anything on time! I am starting to think I should just give up. Lol! Lukia's eyes are striking, I love piercing blue eyes in dolls.

Thank you! Giyu Tomioka is from another "popular" anime/manga like Naruto, called Demon Slayer. I only collect Giyu, and the main villain (Muzan Kibutsuji) sometimes, but it's a great anime, if you're into watching anime and don't mind mild horror elements (as the title suggests). n___n

fierox, is that the Threezero Sil, she's really cool looking. Thanks for sharing!

    26. Correct! I like what Threezero tried to do even didnt fully work out. They took the risk instead of going the easy route. With a lot of light the transparent skin look great :)

    27. Can't believe it is over 10 years since I started this topic. I will post a OT doll of mine today that I sold long ago then recently bought again. This is Taeyang Sol. They are like Blythe and have the oversized head and eyes that blink and move. They were the reason I found BJDs.

      • x 10
    28. I like the look of them better than Blythe. But then I was put off Blythe when someone at a doll meet pulled the string to change the eyes. The noise it made combined with the eyes closing and reopening as different eyes took them into Dr Who Monster territory to me - {shudder!!!} - the only dolls I've ever found scary.

    29. Ngl I would have gotten into the Pullip line of dolls had I not found BJDs first. I remember going to conventions where people would have them all dressed up at their artist alley tables... I think they used to be a lot more popular. They're still adorable, and technically I've been keeping an eye out for a certain older one I found on PullipStyle.com or whatever it was. I'm not actively looking but I admit if I saw one bringing her home would be a temptation I'd have to overcome.

I didn't see a lot of Taeyang dolls when I was looking into them years ago- I was more focused on the girls, Byul in particular has a unique charm- but yours is particularly handsome @Kavarr . I'm glad you could get him back!

    30. 10-15 years ago I used to love Pullip and collected 9 of them. Now they're just neglected on the shelf...:pout:

    37. @stellarphenomena , I do like your Rosanna, she's very appealing! I was never that impressed with Ruby Red before, except for their Asian dolls. I thought about getting one for my granddaughter, but she always seemed too young, and now she's getting too old.
I just got some more Pipos 4Chi2x kitties. I guess I've been a good customer because they threw in a freebie.

    39. Lovely, beautiful dolls all around! I am a huge fan of Taeyang, and Isul. I don't believe the former is as popular as the girls or Isul, even. Sol is one that I always admired from afar. If memory serves, I was still in college when he was released and I wasn't able to justify him then. Of course, I am a cheapskate when it comes to fashion dolls, I wasn't able to justify Isul Glen, and I might have been out of college for his 1st release. I know he was re-released a few times because of how popular he was (although, if we are completely honest, I kind of forgot about him for a while and then by the time I remembered, he was already sold out. Lol!!). I sorely regret never getting him. I kind of did an inspired by custom Isul from a MIO kit, which I sitll also regret not getting more of, and at least one Pullip. DX

My Japan-toy hauls are still in a temporary halt, but I hope that will come to an end soon. I am still hoarding toys otherwise, so I'm trying to spam sporadically and not all at once (but I am lazy to upload these to imgur and they suck!!). (:

      These two I got from Amzn. I wasn't receiving shipping notice for my Sasuke, which I pre-ordered so I went to check and saw they had Pin For Love Labubu on Pop-Mart's official shop on there, and Big Into Energy ones as well. I thought I could live with a tiny one and wasn't into the BIE color options. I was wrong... good luck to me ever getting one of the 6" ones now. T___T;;

This is my first Labubu, and I am glad she came in a reusable string-bag, instead of the plastic metallic ones. However, I definitely regret not getting one when I first stumbled across them and waiting until everyone wanted one... I collect too much already, and I didn't find the first few Pop Mart figs I got that impressive for the price. Now I'll probably never get the six-inch-ones (I saw the Tasty Macarons a few days afterward, then it was too late by the time I reloaded funds onto my balance, because I am a weirdo!).

I am a fan of the aesthetics of these dolls, although I rarely purchase baby/toddler-like dolls. These are super adorable to me for some reason. I got the Shiba-Inu boy and the Hamster girl as well. I almost lost all hope of ever getting the kitty, but I finally got him as well. He is adorable, IRL, despite the hyper-arched brows. (:

I got this one as a B-day gift from my lovely mother, a few months ago (back in May!). I keep forgetting to take photos of him to store away (I am a hoarder, I keep all my toys MISB, unless they are mystery toys, gashapon or I purchased doubles!). I don't collect Zenitsu, but my mom doesn't know that. Lol!

    40. @phanuel: Adorable collection of cats! My favorite is #3. What does "4Chi2x" mean? Are your new ones in this line-up?

I love my 8" Asian girls from Ruby Red toys. I don't have any dolls such as LIa, Bluette, Belinda or Girls of the Orient (15"). I just don't want to collect 15" play line type of dolls. But I am really fond of the Rosanna I saw! Something about her face sets her apart from that line for me. Her vinyl is quality, she looks like a resin BJD. I recently bought one each of their 10" dolls, Mori Lolli and Luna Lily, They are cute but I'm not planning on more. Mori Lolli is like a Lati Lime and has a huge heavy head (size 11) so she's awkward.

I guess my love will always be for BJD's and 16" Tonner and other 12" fashion dolls :)

    41. @stellarphenomena , Numbers 1,3,4, and 8 are the new ones. The first one was a freebie.
I actually got two separate orders together, just after I placed one order they came out with new colors I couldn't resist!
The 3rd one is from the "Latte" line.
All I know is that 4Chi2x refers to the size. They're about 5cm tall.
The "Chi" might be short for Chibi.
They're in the "enfant" category on the website.

I know what you mean about Rosanna, and those Asian girls are cute too.
Bjds are my main focus but I do have other types, some from previous collections and some that I just fall for.

This is a Faith and Friends (now defunct company) doll that I originally bought for a potential granddaughter. I have two granddaughters now and yet I still also have the doll. Maybe it's time to pass her on. ;)

    42. @phanuel: They are TINY!! I had to look at your photo again ;) How cute.

"In the Pink" is adorable. I don't think I'd part with her since she's long out of production and in such good shape...she's kinda special. I've never met someone / family who loved dolls like I do, but if they did, I'd let them look at my collection and if it's one I could easily part with I'd give it to them, otherwise I'd buy them their own haha !

      • x 1
    43. @stellarphenomena , I just did that very thing. I found out my youngest granddaughter does like dolls and is very careful with her "treasures" as she calls them, i.e., all the little things I give her. So I bought her a resin head from Tokissi and put it on an Obistsu body. It has separate wig and eyes, just like a bjd, and it came with a resin mushroom piece with a magnet to put on her head.
That's what made me think of getting it for her, because she really likes mushrooms.

    44. I love the look of them but have learned the hard way that dolls of that size just don't "work" for me. They either get completely neglected or I re-dress them every once in a while, then they sit untouched for months on end until I change their outfits again (usually prompted by an upcoming doll meet or similar).

So, these days,no matter how much I love the look of them, I don't just acquire dolls in the 7-to-8inch size range. I still have my Helen Kish Riley and Tulah, and my Heather Maciak Jenny and Lexie (and the huge collection of clothes i ammassed in that size) but they have literally been in the same outfits since before Lockdown, abnd the most I've done with them in six years is take them into work with me to sit on my desk (I take a dfifferent doll or dolls with me every day). The rest of the time they just gather dust.

    46. Somewhat of an older image, but here's my Amazing Yamaguchi/Revoltech Dabi being territorial about "his" shelf. He really is good for a whole bunch of dynamic poses, and worth the price tag in my opinion. Even though I missed the sales period by a week and had to buy him secondhand, I love the variety of parts and posabiity and sheer personality he has. Also pictured is an ob11-with-spare-nendoroid-faceplate version of a "mini me" who is not a fan of all that fire.

Also, it's NOT his shelf. He just was alone there for a while and got used to brooding in solitude.

Poor little mini me, she gets put through a LOT by my other figures XD
