I Had picked this girl up sometime between 2016/2018, as i had found TAKARA's old early-2000's "Lillian" Headsculpt rather Charming. oddly, once i got hands on her, it ended up happening that found more use for the included Kimono than for the Doll herself. All of these years later, rummaging through my old storages to pair-down in prep for a forthcoming Move... i come across her again, and finally give her the TLC she always Deserved♥
I just bought the files from Morphingon on Insta. Got two in orginal size 33cm printed and now I stringing them up. Eden is offtopic only because she is not molded but printed. I think it comes molded bjds from this maker in the future. Wonderful sculpts!! Very good artist! The files cost about 70$ I love to interact dolls together, so I always buy at least two, thats fits together well. I made the eyes in polymerclay and uv resin btw.
@Tasuke , she looks great, just like new! I love the glasses. I like to play the photo games on DoA, but I'm finding that more and more of my doll choices, while bjds, are still off-topic. Took this pic of my Luke & Lulu Luke for the Flickr Friday theme "Lucky Me". #Lucky Me by Nadine, on Flickr
I just got this guy from Amicus Dolls and I'll assume he's off-topic because he is polyurethane. He's not painted so I lightly blushed him a bit on photoshop. At this point, I don't know how I would want him painted anyway, I love him as is. Russian Bleu by Nadine, on Flickr
Resin is a sort of polyurethane so it might still be technically resin cast- see what the mods say. He's cute!
As Rosslyn said, you should see what the mods say. If he's resin (especially hand-cast resin) he may be on topic - especially because he has in-set eyes and points of articulation at the neck (presumably), shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. If you use the Ask The Moderators section you should get a response within a few days.
@Rosslyn @Kaiyashu, Thanks, I might do that. More people should check out Amicus Dolls, she has some amazing human sculpts.
Beautiful photos, everyone. I love all the cute things I don't normally collect, but always love looking at! I'm a dark-old-weirdo! Lol! I modified and repainted my custom OG-RE4 1:6 scale Leon S. Kennedy figure once again. I am very happy, and I thought I would just spam him everywhere, because why not? DX A few more, equally respective extreme close ups of his. The head was created too large to be accurate, to how Leon's proportions look in the OG game, so... Spoiler: These are repetitive, and terrible.
@Enzyme your Leon looks amazing! Getting the eyes right makes the whole sculpt! What paints do you use? I recently found a custom made Sun Wukong head and decided I needed him. He is my first 1/6 custom action figure. I’ve been watching how to videos on painting and the different neck/body types. Interesting and complex hobby. So far I only have two as I’m keeping them to a monkey king theme, my first being a um, legit, but not ‘officially licensed’ Goku look a like. He only came with a painted head and outfit. It was recommended that he have a Pichen buff male body, which I got and silicone is too high maintenance (trying to dress him was a very trying experience) so I found a good hard plastic replacement (the outfit fits better too).
I agree, the eyes alone can make such a difference. OG-RE4 Leon's are a particularly unique shape. He doesn't look quite right, if they are too off. I use my regular Liquitex (artist grade) acrylics, for all my repaints. They are a bit too saturated, as is to be expected, but I don't know how wasteful it would be if I got some hobby grade acrylics, just to use less than a drop every time I repaint one of my "tiny" 1:6 head sculpts. I've been using acrylics only for my mature tiny MYou Bettina male as well, so maybe it wouldn't be wasteful once I get to my 60cm+ BJD. However, I find that Liquitex are good enough for me, so it might be wasteful to just get a different grade of paint just for hobby reasons, when it might not be necessary. Good luck with your Sun Wukong project. I personally know how equally rewarding and stressful it can be, to get these "smaller" customized/kitbashed figures, to look just right. (: Stupid autocorrect *Liquitex!
Is anyone into Ugly Dolls? I just discovered this little guy in a chef's outfit, can't resisit a doll in a toque! Chocolate chip by Nadine, on Flickr Busy in the kitchen by Nadine, on Flickr
@phanuel the perfect little chef for your kitchen! He looks so happy to be cooking! @Enzyme good to know about Liquitex working as I could also use it for my dollhouse projects. I did get a set of expensive gaming minis paints as I thought it would be good for dollhouse minis in 1/4 scale, so I’m going to be using them if I can mix the correct color to match the body. If not, then some good quality acrylic paints will work (thanks for the tip). I do wish I could dye the head to match the body, but that is too expensive for just one head with all of the necessary supplies, time and effort. Thanks so much!
I don't have many anime figures, but my latest purchase (I think from 2023?) was a pre-owned Black Rock Shooter figure from AmiAmi website. She's absolutely gorgeous in person and I adore the amount of detailing she has. I forgot to quit the Fanta can, LOL I wish I could have more time to get newer pictures of her. T~T I'll leave an unboxing picture of her and a stock image of her ^.^ Spoiler: Unboxing
Phanuel, I don't know much about Ugly Dolls, but I own two figures that I got on clearance, around the time the film came out. I don't recall where the second one is, but I try to remember to take photos of the one I do know where it is. Lol! It is still in it's container though, as i am a weirdo and rarely unbox static figures, unless I own two. Kurogane, thank you so much for your comments on my Leon's customizations, sorry that was a thousand years after-the-fact! I forgot to thank you earlier, since I am a huge nerd and tend to nerd-out when I rant about repainting and 1:6 action figures in general! I am always incredibly grateful and humbled when I receive any comments at all on my work, since I rarely if ever get any. Then again, I am kind of easily intimidated myself, and a socially inept weirdo, so I don't even "at" people, when I reply to them. Big old weirdo that I am, I don't know if it's annoying to others to do so, so I try to avoid and then feel guilty they might not see my replies! But also feel weird when I do "at" people, or quote in the replies... DX I hope to see your work on your Sun Wukong, and miniature doll houses, once you feel like sharing those! (: Noel0H, she's beautiful! I used to own that version and the Medicom RAH as well, but because I tend to not collect many female characters, I traded both for other male figures I didn't get to pre-order. I regretted that, but I also really wanted the figures I traded her for. I got the GSC PUP version when that one came out, the PUP kind of seems lifeless IRL, in comparison, but at least it feels kind of similar (or so I keep telling myself!). T__T;; My August toy haul got here, so I thought I should spam again, on here once again. BanDai Funrangiua gashapon set of five, just for Sasuke: He's probably the most adorable version of Sasuke out there, even cuter than the Nendoroid version (IMHO).: I repainted my LOL Tweens Aya Cherry sometime in the past few months as well, using only acrylic paints, as that has become my new favorite way to do things! I don't waste fixative, and I don't have to be worrying about layers not sticking, every five seconds. I still suck at repaints, but this way seems so much more freeing, to an old-timer-painter, like me. (; Barbie Land mini figures:
@Enzyme I completely understand! I also avoid social interactions and agonize over what to say about something. Much erasing and re typing before I hit return. I’m just so impressed with your repaints it’s something I wish I was more comfortable doing. I gave up doing face ups on my bjds years ago because of lack of confidence. I know, practice, practice. I’m really motivated to do WuKong after the body came and he looks so good on it. With the right outfit, he will be amazing!

A tiny (8-9") Cathy Hansen reproduction of a 19th century lady doll for people who don't want the responsibility of an antique. Came about because I got my first Unoa at a doll show and she was surrounded by antiques and wanted one to be her doll.
Yesss, a place to put my Girlpla figures! Time for a slapdash picture! From left to right: Ariel, Cassidy, Lorelai, Renee, Monica, and the currently-headless one is Cecille.
Just got my Pipos teeny-tinies. So tempting to get more, but I mustn't cave. So kawaii by Nadine, on Flickr
GOOD SMILE "POP-UP PARADE" Cardcaptor Sakura figures~ Vintage/Retro-style Schoolgirl Sailor Suit for My Wife♥
@Tasuke, You always have the cuties, love the outfits! @Saba, It's nice to see all the pretty horses, the only ones I have are left behind by my daughters and they are not in the best shape First Halloween pic of the year. I'm slowing down. Very happy Halloween by Nadine, on Flickr
OMG @phanuel your Halloween display is so wickedly cute! Your nightmare pony is AWESOME Could you please tell me who made him? His expression is priceless! @SteamWitch what a classic- is that big chap? He is soooo scary (In the best way!) @ZodiacMoon your girls are very cute! @brightberry your Pullips are adorable, their colouring contrast so well together
@Saba , "nightmare pony" LOL! He's a Ribulcorn from Kalmanjuuri Dolls in Finland. There was a short ordering period announced on Instagram in January. Unfortunately I took too much time deciding to get him and missed out on the limited face-up slots. So his paint jobs are always done with photoshop for now. I haven't yet found anyone I would like to paint him plus I dread having to send him off and trust him to the vagaries of the postal system.
Yes, he is the big one. I've had him since 1979. I painted him a couple of years ago and love him even more.
@phanuel thank you for the info! Your photoshopping looks awesome, I didn’t even realise that’s what it was And your little candle is super cute @SteamWitch now you’ve got me all nostalgic- here are some Gelflings:
@Saba , Those are interesting characters, had to look them up, love the faces! I couldn't resist this guy for Halloween, such a lovely color. Meet and greet by Nadine, on Flickr
My sister got this doll for me. I have no idea why she thought it was something I'd like, but I had to customize it to fit in with my other characters. Lore by SteamWitch, on Flickr
@Tasuke , what a great little outfit! I like the boy one too. @SteamWitch , Is it a troll? I like the hair. And the hands.
It only says Reborn Baby Doll on the box, but it looks like a troll to me. The ears are enormous, though the hair hides it well. It has moveable head, arms and legs. Squishy vinyl doll.
I've dropped everything that's not resin completely, but I still love this one. Beautiful and poses so well. I wish it were not so difficult to clothe figures at this scale.
Not an altogether terrible way to spend Thanksgiving; toiling away on refining my little Fairy-Hunnie~ i built upon the success of tightening her leg joints, by stuffing the lower legs with Polyfil batting, refined her Lip-work, and coated her Eye-chips in a couple layers worth of TAMIYA COLOR gloss Clear-Coat;
Something kept Bugging me about her... then, at the eleventh hour, it Clicked; her Eyelashes!!! Fixed~
Got a Buttery-Soft little Nightie-Wightie set coming for my Butter Hunnie♥ And a new pair of Slipper Strap-Flats to go with the Strawberry-pattern Dress shown above~
Managed to finally figure her Body all out!! she has a much more natural stance now... and can finally better support her weight generally. She is so Precious♥
I Had one of these as a young boy in the mid/late-Eighties, (A Blondie, no less!!) and i figured it was high time to get another one... for the express purpose of fitting the Spacesuit to my new, perfected Yuna~ Cannot Say with 100% certainty that it will fit her without some minor modification... but we will be finding out soon enough~
My Lonely Lisa that I bought in 1964 for my 13th birthday got a new wig. Her original hair was horrible. I am in the middle of redoing her stuffed body. Lonely Lisa Royal Doll with new wig. by SteamWitch, on Flickr

I got this little Van Gogh bedroom diorama hoping I could fit at least a few of my tiniest dolls into it. The kittens had a great time. Van Gogh with cats by Nadine, on Flickr
Pre-Ordered this Dress on a whim from AmiAmi some months back. I Thought, at first, that i made a mistake... but then i fitted it to my Wife ♥ Konomi... and i could instantly see that it suited her Just Perfectly~
