I love reasons to share pictures of my cat! My cat Shiloh with the picture of my late-dad: This is just to get the idea of how big he is aside from how much Shiloh is a fatty: My favorite Shiloh picture Spoiler: It is a large picture SECOND FAVORITE! Spoiler: Still kinda large. So contained in spoiler
Behold, the ladies! Pippa Pepper and Honey did not appreciate me waking them from their nap for photo time.
Oh, whoops, just realized that my image was broken due to size. I fixed it. Everybody's pets are so precious. I want to snuggle everything. So much amazing variety, with cutie kitties, sweet puppers, bunbuns, pretty snakies and lizards, even snails!
I have a French Bulldog named Coconut too! One of my gym friends got him as a gift for his fiancee and she didnt want him, she wanted a Pomeranian and didnt like that he wasnt cute. Well I think Coconut is the cutest dog, the sweetest and also he farts a storm but he is my baby, always feel like it was destiny for him to come to me I will never forget trying to teach him potty training and seeing him running around with his baby diaper that was bigger than his whole body lol XD Trying to bully my cat when he was 1/4 the size of my cat lol
My tank, Lady Helen, a Clydesdale mare my Mum bought me to cheer me up after I lost my job. I never thought I'd become a horse person until my Mum suggested it might help with my depression. Works like a charm so far. I love this absurd beast, even if she disrespects me. We're getting there. She's just a bit lonely, because at 18 hands and an imperial ton, she's the biggest horse at the barn and some people are scared of putting their much smaller horses on the meadow with her And here's one of our Akitas, Mei-Mei, with her new litter of pups! 5 little dumplings were born on May 27th, pedigree parents with stellar health and temperament and rated very well in conformation.. Ravioli, my baby.
I LOVE this thread!!! So many cute babies!!! Here's my babies! Luna is the siamese and Tiny is the greyhound. They are doofuses and nearly impossible to get a picture of together, so I'm pretty proud of this lol
Amnon, already Best of Baby at the 9. World Dog Show last weekend! Now just to find the perfect home for this perfect boy Amnon's dad placed 1st (Best of Breed) on the same occasion
I present to you guys my son, Bruno . I've had the honour of being in his life for his whole 6 years of life and I wouldn't have it any other way. This is him with his little sweater to protect him from the cold:
This thread is pretty sleepy, so I thought I'd try waking it up with the newest addition to our family - tentatively named Mochi, because he is so soft and sweet. He's only a week old and obviously still with his mama, but when he joins us in June, we expect him to look a bit less like a tiny potato and more like a miniature dachshund. We are VERY excited to be bringing the little guy home. Editing to add more pics, just because I can! Our little guy's human 'mom' is super sweet, and sends us updates every few days because she knows that we wish we could watch him grow. Here's our boy transforming from potato to dog...sort of. Such a sleepy fellow!
Bleh, I want to see everyone's babies, not a bunch of boxes with red Xes in them...what's wrong with pictures in this thread?
This is Sullivan on the left, and Butterball on the right Sullivan is my baby and the love of my life and he just got life saving surgery and is a CHAMPION. Butteball is just an epic and funny guy and I have absolutely adorable puppy pictures of him. This is Charcoal, she's 14 and I call her chicken or mama because she's had a bunch of kittens and she used to wake me up for school every morning from elementary to highschool. This is Casper one of charcoals kittens, he has a neurological problem and he tilts his head almost all of the time especially when he's excited (It's straight in this picture though) This is Skitt he gets into a lot of trouble but he's sweet and super photogenic. He growls when he eats and loves to lay outside during summer. This is Wild Dennis and we just found him in October. He was a super skinny malnourished kitten and my aunt found him under her lawnmower and gave her to us and he's big and strong and an absolute menace now. He LOVES jumping on Skitt the minute he comes inside and Skitt just takes it at this point. Last but not least my gamer lizard Leo. He's a cool guy and likes eating worms and freaks me out sometimes because when he's removing and eating his shed skin it sounds like there's a rat behind my dresser. EDIT: I don't know why some of the pictures didn't post but here's my imgur album that has the missing pictures in it and my friends German shepherd that's staying with us for the time being >_<
My beautiful children, Sadie & Misha! Both from the shelter so who knows if they're purebred but by appearances they are an adorable lil Chihuahua and a fluffy gorgeous Himalayan. They are the first and last Chihuahua (so clingy! such yapping!) or Himalayan (I could have built several new cats by now out of the masses of fur he sheds) I will ever have but I love them with all of my heart.
Well, I already showed off Mochi when he looked like a tiny potato, but now he is a big boy (relatively speaking) who looks like a real dachshund. He has just graduated from puppy training classes, and is showing off in a well used mortarboard...which is one-size-doesn't-fit-all.
Login • Instagram My cat, Madame Mao, she’s some sort of bobtail mix (my parents have her mother who’s a lot smaller and only has a nub of a tail) Snoozapalooza My dog, Myrtle, a pit bull mix (we think husky?) Snoozapalooza 2 electricboogaloo Bonus: sleeping Myrtle and her twin brother Jack (who belongs to my mom)
Reviving this thread because I've had a bad week, and could really use some cute pet pics to look at. Ivanhoe, prince of my heart, basking in the late-afternoon sun at my old apartment.
Our only pet at the moment is our cat Baby, we adopted her from the Humane Society and have had her for 11 years.
@NineOneThree what a sweetie! Ivanhoe comes from a shelter also Well, I'm just going to keep posting pics of my cats until more people join in. I know you guys have pets too!!! Tiger a.k.a. Tijgertje, one of my cats growing up.
This is one of our past pets. We found an Italian greyhound runaway in 2005. She was estimated to be 3 at the time and looked like she came from a line of show dogs in the area. After putting up flyers and calling breeders we did not have anyone claim her. She lived with us for 12 years until she passed from old age. I am more of a cat person but she was the best dog ever.
This is my (bigger) baby boy Finnley, turning two. He has a lot of growing to do, but he is pleased to have a fake cake for a quick birthday pic.(Finnley is a Black Eyed Leucistic Ball/Royal Python. That's a bit like albinism yes, but albinism takes out all the pigment in the animal's cells whereas leucism doesn't cut out all pigment.)
Keep forgetting about this thread. So many gorgeous companions of all shapes and sizes. Better than most people! We currently live with 5 birds, two aquariums of fish and Crested Gecko Here's two of them....... Kira, Queen of Chaos and Toe Biting! Kira by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr She's a 6 year old Green Cheek Conure (Yellow-Sided Turquoise colour mutation). We've had her since she was 12 weeks old, went to visit the (fairly local) breeder to pick her or should I say she picked us as we had been going to get one of her brothers. She was reared by her parents but handled regularly from a young age by the breeder and his wife. She's a grade A brat, sweetness and cuddles one second then *BAM* you suddenly have a chunk out of your finger, neck or lip if she's in a really tetchy mood, which is fairly typical of these conures especially when they're awash with breeding season hormones. Other than my husband her other love is the washing machine, she loves sitting in the door of it watching the laundry go round and round. One time she even ran across the floor to the machine saying "Awwww baby!" and making kissing noises. She also loves showers. Her usual phrases are "Juice, gimmee juice", "Baby Girl", 'Kira Stop!", "Kira behave!", "Love you" and "Gimmee Kisses" This is Walter Walter by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr Dear Walter is 3 years old and a Moustached Parakeet. Again we've had him since he was around 12 weeks old, got him from the breeder who, as I have experience hand rearing, let us take him home even though he was still requiring morning and evening hand feeds. Walter's a big softy, probably the quietist, well behaved and definitely the most gentle bird I've ever known (so far). Very laid back, not the sharpest crayon in the box, follows me everywhere (unless Kira stops him) and bottom of the pecking order the poor boy. Walter loves sweetcorn, boiled egg, walnuts, peanut butter (unsalted and organic) and cheese. All you hear if he sees you eating is "Want some, want some!" accompanied by lip smacking noises. Walter's usual phrases are "Good Good Walter", "Good Boy", "I'm a good boy", "Kupo" (Kupo is the name of one of our other parrots), "Shut up", "Want some" and "Piss off!"
What beautiful birds! My Grandpa hand raised different sorts of parrot so I have great fondness and respect for good bird-keeping, even though I'm more likely to have a backyard chicken flock myself.
Thank you @Rosslyn, they drive me nuts some days but I love them. Haha if I could I’d have chickens too, adore them. I spend my early childhood on a farm and my Nana also kept chickens, ducks, Guinea fowl and ornamental pheasants. Most of her chickens she rescued, ex-battery hens that were going to be sent to slaughter. What a mess those poor birds were but she nursed them back to health and they lived a good life wandering about her garden. Love your boy Finnley, he’s beautiful! Used to have a Ball python myself, normal colouring. Also at that point had two Corn snakes (the female that I rehomed from someone I knew was a nasty piece of work), a Hognose and a Children’s Python, plus several scorpions (found out the hard way that mine was a female), a tree frog, pet rats, a cat, a rescue whippet/saluki cross and several fish tanks. Had to rehome most of that collection due to my health at that point. Kept the cat, dog and fish as hubby didn’t mind helping with those. I do miss my snakes.
Aw thank you. I understand health issues limiting one's pets. It's always rough. I wanted to get a tortoise and skinks, but I can only manage snakes because of how easy they are to keep if i monitor their environments. If I miss feeding by 24 hours, they don't care so long as they stay well fed, and they're chill on days I can't get them out. I've got the Ball Python, and a Black African House Snake who is quite elusive so I don't have good recent pics. I also have a little dog, and she fits into my lifestyle right next to me, thank goodness.
Kupo Kupo by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr This is Kupo, he’s 7 years old hatched mid January 2018. We got him from a breeder in the south of Scotland. Yes he really is that tiny. Kupo is a Celestial Parrotlet, also known as a Pacific Parrotlet in some countries. He’s a blue mutation, they’re naturally green with blue markings. Parrotlets are…..well let’s just say if you crammed a T-Rex with a headache into something smaller than a sparrow then sprinkled in some neurotic spoiled Chihuahua for good measure, made it cute and want snuggles every so often. They’re tiny feathered balls of rage that hate crinkling or rustling noises and will scream (loud rapid chattering) at anything that sends them into said rage. They charge at the offending object with their head down and hackles raised…..supposed to be terrifying but is actually hilarious. They also don’t care about the size of the offender either! They could start a fight in an empty room! Despite that Kupo is my wee baby boy, my little pocket pumpkin! When not about to explode with fury because the fish food packet made a noise he’s actually a little darling, loves to fall asleep on my shoulder snuggled up under my hair, gives the most gentle little kisses and will sit for ages letting you scritch his head. Luna Kupo and Luna by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr Luna was Kupo’s lady love. We got her from the same breeder, she was hatched November 2018. Her colour mutation is known as American White or Yellam White, it’s a very pale blue. Luna unfortunately passed away in November 2024. It took months of very careful and supervised introductions before they could live together as Parrotlets are incredibly territorial and will attack any bird they don’t like. Thankfully Kupo took to her straight away and together they had 17 chicks spread over 4 separate clutches. We still have one of the chicks from the final clutch. Luna was not as friendly as Kupo, she tolerated attention under her terms only. She was a feisty little warrior, frequently picking fights with Kira and delighting in terrorising poor Walter. She was also a good wee mother. Kupo adored her, he called her “Baby Bopbop”. He fussed over her so much that he eventually plucked her head bald, we did try to stop it by separating them for a while but Kupo got very very upset and distressed so we had to just let them be.
Nelly Nelly_250923 by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr At 1 day old Nelly_261023 by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr At just over 4 weeks old with her brother. I hand fed the chicks from 3 weeks of age, every 4 hours until they weaned themselves. Feeding hungry scrambling chicks is utter chaos especially when they discover they can fly! There’s baby parrot food everywhere. Nelly_270925 by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr Nelly, a bit soggy as she had just been in the shower with me, it’s the only time she lets me handle her. Despite being hand fed (she liked to bite even then) she’s very fiercely independent. Takes after her mother! t-shirt_270925 by Ali MacTavish-Riach, on Flickr This is Nelly’s latest fashion project, fancies herself as a clothing designer. She likes to reimagine where the holes should be on clothes. She also likes to reimagine where holes should be on my shoulder too.
A pair of the ghost/glass shrimp turned half of a sultana in to date night. She had eggs not long after. edit-trying to figure out why the image won't show on my end of the browser 1d90978d9ee30c0ea8db6ce13778545d2bd21a60.jpg
Pardon the double post but Mr Shrimp was so impressed he fried Miss Shrimp some rice e02bd24129eb4a242dcee904d3304b0848d8e4bb.jpg
This is Chai, is a sickly lady with a smoker's meow. We're not sure how old she is, as she was already an adult when Spouse's grandparents adopted about 22 years ago, and her intake papers have long since vanished. She moved in with Spouse and I 9 years ago, and takes her "Elder Cat," "Ancient Ginger," and related nicknames in stride.
The fried rice did the trick, lol! The white smudge is a baby shrimp so tiny my phone can barely see it 8ce4cc2dcd5add8529ae98c09dca5f3a4f47b766.jpg But we won't know if it's a baby ghost or a baby cherry until it gets a bit bigger.
I have a dog and cat, but the cat is picky with photos so i'll have to post a pic later! But this is Daisy! she's a Mcnab dog, so a shep mix, but I don't fully know since the shelter we got her at didn't fully know what breed she is. She's 1 year old as of a few weeks ago (so says the vet) and loving all of the space she gets to run at
Here's a picture of my Oliver. Unfortunately, he had to be put down two months ago due to health issues. It doesn't feel right not having him around, or any cat for that matter, but it's not a good time for me to have a pet.
@MizRayne I'm so sorry to hear about Oliver. He was a beautiful guy. Wishing the both of you peace. I have come to share Melody (Mel). My apartment is irredeemably dark thanks to the horrible brown walls (weird choice!) so I don't get a lot of good pictures of her but this one really shows some of her personality. Link I first met Melody on the tour of the apartment where she and all the other unhoused local cats were touted as a feature for cat lovers. Anyway, a few months later she came to my door because she needed medical care. We've spent a lot of time together now and she is healthy and happy and very much becoming my own little baby. It is very heartwarming to watch an abandoned pet learn to trust again. (And it can take so long, she's really starting to blossom now.) She is not the cat I would have chosen but I'm very flattered that she chose me and I love her a lot. Bonus pic of her pretty face here (PS, for anyone who knows me from years ago Flapples is still kicking, he is just living with his other pet-parent currently)
