Shelby, my little senior citizen. She's an SPCA rescued, cross bred border-collie/shepherd. And Kona, my son's Presa Canario/Bull Mastif cross. She's not technically "mine", but I act as "doggie daycare" for her 5 days a week while he is working. She's an incredibly peaceful, gentle dog.
My silly little baby, Nibbles! She's been with me since I was 7 years old. She's 17 now ^_^ And hates my dolls so much @_@
These are two of my three kitties, took these photos this morning. Autumn: Callie: No idea where Misty was hiding when I had the camera out.
This is my Maltese puppy (only 6 months old!) Rosie She is adorbs and I adore her! This is Wilson, my Black Lab boy! He is 6 years old and an ol' softy These are my 4th and 2nd dogs respectively. Before Wilson, we had a husky/lab mix named Sage and before Rosie, we had a Yorkie named Penny. I've also had a cat named Amber, a guinea pig named Tuke, a bunny named Marshmallow, 5 frogs (named 1-5 lmao), and more fish then I can even count. I really love animals, I am actually considering getting another dog or a cat because my house feels lonely with only 2 pets!
So many cute furry, feathered, and scaled friends on this thread! I love all these photos!! Here's my boys, the doggies, this pic is a year old but they look about the same. It's hard to get photos of Henry (on the left) and this is a rare shot of both of them sitting together and actually being still! They are terrier mixes of some kind, shelter babies. Another of Delta, he is adorable and actually sits still enough for good shots sometimes.. I've also got my wild feline girl, Nini. (*sings* watch me whip, watch me Nini) She was a feral kitten I took in at 3 1/3 months a year ago or so. Up until a week ago I had the last kitten I was fostering from a litter of 3, her name is Luna. She was adopted to an enthusiastic forever home and she is a beautiful black smoke color. There was also the very vocal and mischievous Finn from this litter. And sweet Freya, who was adopted first from the litter.. I miss the kittens but I can foster again in future, and so happy they found permanent loving homes. Taking a little break for now, it is fun but also a bit stressful.

I love photographing my pets so of course I couldn't resist sharing a few photos :P of course if I tried to show off everyone I'd be over filling the post so I'll just post a few and hope i'm not breaking any rules! albeli, I love seeing your flying squirrels. I had a sugar glider when I was younger. I loved the little guy. He never bonded to me like they can, but he was still fun. Here's the full shot from my avatar of my cat, Mew and here's a very short funny video of her first experience with my new shiatsu massage pillow And here's a picture of my neon blue california red sided garter snake from when he was a baby. His name is Sir Reginald Von Slithers. Pardon my dirty fingernails. I don't work a desk job.
And he's not angry, he's yawning :3 Name Onyx and about 8 month old here (but I love this shot the most). Black Maine Coon, now almost 3 years old and over 9 kilo weight.
I have two bengal cats. They are named Siegfried and Jhana. Here's picture proof that they do cuddle sometimes!
The only pics I can grab right now of my current only pet are phone pics, but here, my beloved baby girl Diamond. She's a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (aka an English Stafford). We've had so many pets, but she's the only one who's lasted so far, she just turned 13 in september. Love my little old lady. XD
My doll friendly fur ball, Arthur. He not love them, in fact he ignore them all the time but always want to take a role whenever I snap doll's pic.
My green iguana - Gudda - (she is pretty old, so she does not live up to the name "green iguana" that much anymore). When she is not on my lap, she is on my bed, you can say. She is an old lady in iguana years, but acts like a little brat... Not wanting to sleep in her terrarium, but in my bed, kind of behavior. But she looks so cute and cozy while she does that, so it is hard to not let her be.
Love the name!!! That's awesome! Do you still have him & how big is he? My gold chihuahua's full name is Sir Renthrop the Bold.
This is my baby, Momo! Funny story about him: His breeder sold him to us believing he was a girl, named Amelia. So we went for over a year thinking he was an adorable little girl, until we brought him to the vet for a pre-surgical checkup to get him neutered... and the vet gave us the biggest shock of our lives lol. We had cognitive dissonance for a few weeks, but we finally renamed him "Momiji", after the boy born in the year of the rabbit in the manga Fruits Basket! He just seemed sweet and adorable like him x3 We've nicknamed him Momo
Thanks. When I got him for some reason the name Reggie got stuck in my head, and so I told my boyfriend that I was considering that name. A little later he and I both admitted that we were thinking of the name "Sir Reginald Von Slithers" for him, but it tooks us a bit to figure out why we both thought of that name. We were playing Borderlands 2 together at the time. I do still have him. He's over 2 years old. I don't know how long he is (he doesn't hold still very well), but he's moved on to a 15 gallon shallow tank. I'll take an updated photo of him sometime soon and post it here.
The name just cracks me up. "Von Slithers" I'm not familiar with Borderlands 2. I see garter snakes in my yard from time to time. They're dark green with yellow stripes here. Not really into reptiles in general, but these little guys are cute.
My two little monsters, Djabi de Sidi-Bou-Saïd (Peterbald) and Okonor Rõzseszìn Pàrduc (Siamese). Well, Djabi and Rõzy. These races are so awesome so cuddly, joyful, energetic... too energetic. Definitely not the kind of cats silently sleeping on your side, they want to play all the times ! They can't bear to be apart, fused all the times, go full drama queen if a door separated them.
Our old man Lego: Here he is taking a little walk on his leash-- he's an indoor cat, but he always WANTS to go outside. He's sort of tiny and defenseless (being old as he is, he's lost quite a few of his teeth, but he thinks he's still a young, rough-and-tumble boy), so he doesn't get to go outside unsupervised, and he doesn't leave the gated front yard without his leash. He actually likes the little 'hoodie' harness. He likes taking selfies-- he admires himself in the screen. And occasionally makes really hilarious faces-- that part's not for his own amusement, I'm sure, but I certainly feel amused. And here he is suffering through a giant squid attack. And his 'little brother', my baby boy Mohinder (Momo, for short): Momo after a groomers' trip-- he's quite comfortable after being shaved down and bathed. He hates going in the car, and he hates the bath, but he likes the groomer personally, and he has a little bit of a skin condition, so he REALLY likes when it's all over and his skin feels soothed, and he just has an easier time staying groomed without LOADS OF FLUFF. Plus he enjoys being petted when there's nothing getting in the way of feeling the pets. Licking my hand, all fluffy and cuddly. He's very affectionate, mostly with me (though he does spread his love around to the rest of the family)-- he's sort of an emotional support therapy animal, and he does his job very well. He's always ready to provide a kiss (or twenty) and a purr. And one of his baby pictures-- here he is with his kittenhood stuffed toy, Peter. For a while, Momo and Peter were inseparable, and he was always cuddling or nibbling on his little plush pal. Possibly because Lego did NOT want to play with the new baby. Lego is about twice Momo's age... and about half his size. But Lego thinks he's a great jungle panther, and Momo thinks he's a tiny baby kitty.
I grabbed a picture of Reggie tonight. He's about 2 feet long is what my boyfriend estimates (I'm no good at estimating). Mew was once again waiting on standby should I need someone to look after the moving string. Oh, and those aren't butterfly knives on the table. They're buttefly combs, as I call them.
Reggie's colors are gorgeous, totally different from the garter snakes in south Texas. I love the blue color. And Mew is adorable! I have a soft spot for calicos. Since you've had Reggie since he was tiny, I assume he's very tame and likes being handled? I once had a run in with a tiny garter snake near my front door. He felt cornered and hissed at me, and I just laughed and told him he was cute. It was so funny and adorable because he was super small. My husband runs a knife business on the side, so those really do look like butterfly knives. He asked if I wanted one and I told him I would probably chop all my fingers off!
I have my baby kitty Nox, he was born 4/20/15 in my hands by his very nervous mama. (Don't recommend the experience LOL) noxy by Tatsu Kitty, on Flickr and my ratty Pocky! IMG_0925 by Tatsu Kitty, on Flickr
I can't actually remember if I posted in here yet... i don't think I have. Anyway: Bailey and Pepper Bailey is the Cavalier King Charlies Spaniel (Brown and White). He was rescued 2 years ago from Ireland when he was 7. He gets confused as to whether he's a dog or baby. Much like a baby you need to constantly watch him or he'll be trying to crawl through hedges or making a nest with the cushions. He lives by the motto: 'If it doesn't look like food, eat it anyway.' The Shih Tzu is called Pepper and she was rescued 13 years ago when she was just a year old. Despite being an old girl she's still full of beans, in fact it took us an embarrassingly long time to realise that she'd gone blind since she was still running around the house like a loon. She's very much the boss and poor Bailey puts up with her constant 'No, Ive decided this is my space now) They both have health problems/issues due to their early years of abuse but I love them and wouldn't change them for the world. Ella A few months after I brought Bailey home my friend invited me round to see Little Ella, who had been rescued from off the streets (a man was holding her in his arms threatening to drown her if nobody took her of his hands). She was only a few weeks old and should not have been away from her mother. We did our best to hand-raise her and amazingly she survived. However, it took us very little time to realise that Ella was too young, too playful and too noisy for my two older dogs who were rather enjoying their retirement home. Plus, as she got older her legs got longer and longer and we feared she'd grow into a giant (we could only guess at what breed she was), and the decision was made that my friends bigger home was better. So while Ella is not technically mine... I have long considered her partially my baby. Thankfully she did stop growing and in fact, is about the same size as a labrador. Feel free to suggest what you think her breed might be. The vet thinks rottweiler and staffie.
Reggie isn't completely tame. It's a bit rare with garters to get them that calm. They're more prey animals than, say, a boa, so it's harder to fight the flight instinct for them. He frequently "skunks" me when I first pick him up, which means usually my hand and his tail need a rinse right away. After that he tries to get away for a bit, but eventually relaxes into your hand and enjoys the warmth. I got him from a breeder in NC. California has two pretty snakes. One being his breed, which is illegal to own in Cali, and the other is the San Fransisco garter snake, which is illegal to own in the U.S. Similar colors, just different patterning. I've heard of breeders in the UK, but I've never found one for sale. The garters here in BC are pretty plain, too. Black with yellow stripes, mostly. My boyfriend wanted the combs to play/practice with so maybe one day he could get a real butterfly knife. It's going slowly... :P I'd chop my fingers off, too, if these combs are any indication.
This is Wiley, my Husky/Shepherd mix. Can't see it in the pic, but he has a chunk of one eye that's blue rather than brown. And this is Radar, my Pomeranian/Mini American Eskimo. He's a lot bigger now, but is very good at not letting me get updated pictures of him!
I had a tragedy a week and a half ago when I lost my oldest and best baby - Rocky. He was the best ever. I do have a little happiness now This is Doctor Peter Venkman, come to terrorize with tiny, sharp teeth and horrible claws of doom. And cutes. Lots of cutes.
What a great thread. I'm going to go through the entire thing. Love seeing everyone's animal family members!!! I have owned rats for a while now, but sadly my mischief (the word for a group of rats, believe it or not) has shrunk to one lonely boy as of late. Planning to adopt some more from a nearby rescue in the very near future though, so I can have a happy pack again~ In the meantime, this is Boris the rat! EDIT: I have adopted a new rat! His name is Theodore and he is already becoming friends with Boris (:
So many cute pets! These are my cats. Ruby is the friendliest one. She likes to sit on me and meow a lot. Izzy is pretty calm and mellow, but she's also really smart. She figured out how to open the doors and taught the others. Chloe is just a baby. Not sure what's her real personality and what's kitten silliness yet. They're all little princesses. Very spoiled. Bonus: giant cat with dolls
Fuzzy little caterpillars. They creeped me out when I first saw them (I thought they were poisonous!) but after having one crawl up and down my arm with their adorable little legs and stared at me with their big 'ol eyes while I was helping the niece and nephew with theirs, I got suckered into getting some of my own. The other one buried itself in the leaves and I didn't want to disturb it. I was up before the sun getting dew covered grass and twigs.
OH!! Everyone's pets are so lovely!! I love all the doggies and kitties and especially the unconventional pets like the snakes and rats! I used to have rats but unfortunately their life span is so short I grew tired of rattie funerals every couple of years. Now I have the sweetest, mischievous little snot of a dog named Sir Walter Wallace Littledigger the Benevolent. I adopted him from a local shelter (wasn't really looking for a puppy persay but there he was!) and we're pretty sure he's a long haired mini dachsund, but he's mixed with something that gave him long legs! XD Here he is as a little babe: And a more recent picture of him all grown up and looking like a king!: And a bonus pic of him as a pup sitting next to my brother's rottie! XD We always joked that this is what happens if you toss a rottie in the dryer! They shrink and come out fluffy! XD
It's so nice to see all those adorable photos of proud pet-mommies and daddies! This is our adorable little wannabe watch dog Gin. His hobbies include eating, barking at everything that dares to come near our house (in a 50 meter radius!) and taking up all the space in bed. Not to mention snoring. But he's cute as hell so... There's actually a really funny story to his name; He was originally called Dschinn, spelled like the genie in the bottle but you basically pronounce the same way. When my mom got the bagde for his collar done she shortened his name into Gin because every letter would cost extra. She once told me she sometimes feels a little bit embarassed calling for him because she pretty much screams 'GIN' all over our neighbourhood (like an alcoholic haha) ↳ Looking really smug and satisfied about being pet by my uncle He might be nine years old but to me he is still the little pup that wouldn't stop licking my face the first time I held him
We are a very blessed pet household. Reggie the cat. My Hunny bunny (and her cute little grin). Buttercup and my baby sister. Foxy. My aunt's baby boy Cole. Zoey the second Shar-Pei. Zoey and Cole's first born boy Bear. Zoey and Cole's second boy Sandstorm. R.I.P little boy. Zoey and Cole's third boy Shadowhunter or, as we call him, Shad. Zoey and Cole's last (and only) little girl pup Ebony. R.I.P little girl. We're not keeping all of the puppies, but we will be keeping one. I, uh, had very sticky hands while Zoey was giving birth because I ended up helping them out of their sacks. But in all seriousness, it was an amazing experience, and one I will never forget.
I've got a Guinea Pig and a Chinchilla! My Chinchilla's name is Parsley and my Guinea Pig's name is lil' Oinker. I just got my pig last week and my chinchilla HATES him. I hope they can be friends one day tho.
We have fancy rats. They don't live for very long, so we have had quite a few over the last few years. The three we have left right now are the twins, Toast and Posey, and our old girl, Maple.
Everyone's pets look so cute! This is such a great idea for a thread, I can't help but want to join in! This is Chikki (the dog) and Watson (the cat). They are constantly together. Never do anything apart!
Ooh, everybody's pets are so cute!! Especially the dogs, I love dogs! This is Snoetje, european shorthair with a spicy attitude xD but as you can see she can also be cute sometimes
Little girl four, recently dubbed Ebony Velvet, passed away tonight at eight o'clock much to our sorrow. We will always love you, little girl. Even though you weren't alive long to see who we were, we saw the beautifully strong puppy you were. Little boy two, Sandstorm, had to, shortly after Ebony's death, be put down at the vet. He had tumors and had gone blind. He was in a lot of pain. My mother and aunt tried to lie to me about his death. It's still painful to think of these two.
Aww, I love seeing everyone's pets! This is Jake von Doodlebutt, my nearly 13 year old puppy. He's a long haired dachshund and a spoiled brat.
This is such a cute thread and it's such a pleasure to see everyone's lovely pets! I just couldn't resist so everyone, meet my princess, a free spirited bunny who enjoys sunbathing on the window ledge (which she hops up using a chair).
This is my dog, Dylan! He's a very teeny chihuahua. He came to live with us when he was a year old, his previous owner only wanted him for breeding, but he has quite a bad underbite and wasn't suitable. He's a fantastic dog, ridiculously friendly and excitable, he loves absolutely everybody which is fortunate since he gets quite a lot of attention from strangers! 11906386_999434490121981_1284323828_n by Sam Brooks, on Flickr
I'm so tickled by the diversity of animals everyone keeps! I certainly didn't expect to see caterpillars when I had a chance to scroll back through here, but it makes perfect sense. I grew up in the country, so I used to raise caterpillars as well! ^^
Yesss, I love the pet thread~! So much cute. This is Tod, on the comedown from catnip. This is Ziggy, "helping" with laundry. This is my mom's dog, Kiba, who we babysat while she was on vacation (Kiba moped like this the whole time.) Last, but not least, Chowder, the dwarf hamster being flat in my sweater.
