Shoushou Doll Waiting Room!

I ordered a Niko on September 4th, from what I've seen I guess it might not be till next March or May till she arrives -__-

 

My Goudan finally made it home yesterday evening! After 15+ months of waiting But he's in perfect shape and now I can start planning his faceup

 

16 months since I ordered Nico and people are going in for their 2nd order. I received a shipping notice august 8th and due to mail suspension to Australia have received nothing while the item is still in the USPS system and has been flagged as being returned to sender. I've spoken to USPS who say they don't know where the doll is and don't know when it will update. I've Spoken to Shoushou who have advised they haven't received her back either and that it wouldn't be returned despite what USPS said.

I honestly just want to cry. The whole process has been a nightmare. This is the only 1/4 doll I've ever bought and I went out and purchased clothing, eyes, wigs and have been on a faceup waitlist for at least 14 months which I keep pushing back hoping this doll arrives. I am moving in 2 months and have a doll stuck in limbo nobody knows where it is or when I might get it and now I may not even be here to receive it. Even just looking at owner pictures upsets me now. I apologise for bringing down the thread and "whining" but I have no idea where else to even post this sort of thing. I can't even dispute the payments anymore given how long it has been. I have no idea what to even do.

 

@diamondust that is a nightmare,i am so sorry. Things are so backed up with all the covid messes, shes probably sitting in a shipping container somewhere At they very least you should be able to have your mail forwarded thru the post office when you move right? So if she does turn up she will come to your new address? Fingers crossed for a happy ending for you.

 

Has anyone heard anything new regarding the Adult Zilang dolls? I ordered through BJDivas...
I know everything is a mess due to the pandemic, and I think Arcdoll is having a lot of difficulty getting these dolls out?
Normally long waits don't eat at me like this, however at this point I don't really want the doll anymore.
I've never felt this way during a wait before and I'm not really sure what to do.

 

I understand you. Waiting can be very frustrated. I bought 2 heads directly from shoushoudoll instagram so I just waited for 3 months. But I bought dolls which was in stock through bjdivas last october. I asked bjdivas last week about the status of my dolls and if I could send final payment incl shipping. And bjdivas just replied me yesterday that they are currently overwhelmed and doesn’t know if my dolls have arrived to them yet. They ask a bit more time to check all the arrival dolls. So I think not only doll companies, but some agents are also affected by pandemic, holiday season and lack of staffs. I hope you can get your doll soon.

I'm not surprised to hear BJDivas is overwhelmed. I've been hearing that a lot . I think you're right about the holiday and pandemic stuff. Perhaps early next year we might hear something...
It's just very disheartening to have been waiting over a year and a half. Last time this happened was with Dollshe and I ended up selling that doll because it didn't have the same charm to it anymore.

 

How long is the wait time through Clover singing for 1/4 dolls?

 

I usually order through Clover Singing and it varies by manufacturer, but I've never had a doll come later than 6 months.

 

Hi, guys! Shoushou has released Coco. I am dying to buy the head.

People who ordered Shoushou dolls from Clover singing, how long did you wait?

I went and bought Shoushou doll Coco head in semi white. I hope it will match MYOU normal. On another hand, it might be better to start to save up for Nico body.

I was quoted by Christina a 5 - 6 month wait time. So Coco should be made either July or August. It will be an early birthday present for myself.

Does anyone know what eye size Coco take?

I ordered Niko from Clover in September, and she just shipped a few days ago. So a little less than 5 months.

 

I'm so jealous LOL I ordered my Niko and a Coco via BJDivas in September. Here's hoping for a shipping notice in the next month? Maybe

Been 7 months since I ordered my Niko, unfortunately for Shoushou Doll the wait times can be 8 months or more...

My coco is finally ready and I received the tracking number today from Clover! So in the end, it was a 6 months wait time. Not bad...

 

Well, I just contacted BJDivas and they said they got a shipping notification from Shoushou Doll so it should be on it's way to them and then onto the buyers soon after, hopefully no more than another month and I can FINALLY have my Niko!

 

please let that be true!!!! This has not been a good experience. It was the first time I bought through bjdivas, and I am just feeling distrust at this point. I have sent emails and not gotten responses.

 

Well, I certainly hope they wouldn't lie, but the response I got said that shipments from Shoushou Doll were heading out and their just waiting for them to arrive.

 

I hope there will be another Nico preorder. I want one too.

My tan Coco is shipping from BJDivas, got the shipping notice yesterday. I ordered her PIF on Sept 19th 2021. Still waiting on my Niko that I ordered on Sept 15th lol.

 

That makes me wonder if there were more orders for Niko than Coco? I guess Shoushou Doll is so behind that their having to send-out what they can, hopefully it won't be much longer for the Nikos to arrive.

 

If there isn't another preorder you can always try getting one second hand, or you can check BJDivas 'in stock' dolls since there are times when they have full dolls available.

 

I think there were probably more Niko orders, I was hoping they would ship together, but this is ok too. Just need that tracking number to start moving lol

 

And my Coco has arrived! She is VERY cute, though I definitely need bigger eyes and a faceup, stat. She had three ears and I was super confused lol, but apparently it's for different ear positions. I wish her tan was a touch darker but she's still super adorable! Now to figure out...how...to attach the magnets for her optional parts because there are no slots for them.

Still waiting for my Niko but hoping she ships soon too *fingers and toes crossed*

 

Has anyone gotten an Adult Zilang if you ordered one? I ordered mine through BJDivas over 2 years ago and I'm over them at this point.

They take forever to respond to my messages and when they do it's always excuses or vague non-answers .

I don't really trust anything they say in emails anymore. Has anyone seen an official statements from them or received their dolls?

 

I'm waiting on one too and they've recently posted to their Facebook group that Arc Doll sent them the shipping quote for the finished dolls. I'd contacted them about it a few times over the last two years and from what I've been told, Arc Doll had to remake them at one point, plus with so many delays during covid, is why it's taken so long.

Having bought from bjdivas several times, both pre-order and in stock, my opinion of them is that they are trustworthy, but slow. I'm confident we will eventually get our dolls. Every pre-order I've had with them excepting this one has come in, even if some took 8 or 9 months to do so. If anything, it's Arc Doll I won't be ordering again.

Yikes...that is some rotten luck for Arc Doll but given that, I don't think I want to order from them again either. Covid wasn't their fault at all but I think I'd heard about design flaws. Had no idea they needed to remake them though. Wow.

I haven't ordered from BJDivas much and with this whole fiasco my confidence in them was pretty low so thank you for sharing your experiences with them and giving me some insight.

I have one other order with them that I hope goes much smoother since it is from a different company. I'm gonna be crossing my fingers that the Zilangs arrive soon so I can stop stressing lol.

I ordered a Zilang from Stacy's Pink Ocean, and recieved it within a few months????
I think what I was sold was probably a sample doll they'd been sent? I honestly have no idea.
I requested human parts + wolf tail and ears, but ended up with the Wolf Body version.

I've been hearing that a lot of people still haven't gotten their preorders and that's absolutely crushing to hear

I ADORED Zilang's sculpt. But because I ended up with the beast body version I'm kind of at a loss with him??

I'll definitely be keeping his head, wig and ears. But I'm going to part with the body.



From what I saw on a Facebook group, a few people that did get Zilang, he arrived chipped, cracked or broken. Usually around the elbows or knees. His fantasy wolf legs are so heavy I think they tend to break during shipping.
As for the elbows, the resin in the elbow is really thin. Mine just lived in his box for months and it cracked???




It's REALLY THIN and I think that's why some of them crack in the elbow sockets during transit.
I think they'd do better if all Zilang's we're shipped unstrung. I'm not sure if it's the resin used, but I've never really had a doll crack like this before besides a fairyland on a high pressure joint. (But maybe it's because it was in storage where the temperature would drop, then warm up to room temp again?)

I assume Zilang was a 3D printed prototype that was then primed and molded (since there's a 3D model of him as the sample image) and sometimes it's hard to catch things like wall thickness. I think it's just an unfortunate design flaw. This guy is also ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE and HEAVY which I think is why the knees broke on some of them since he was shipped strung.

I don't know how the fur tips chipped during shipping? But when I opened the box, they were just loose in there.


I feel like I got unbelievably lucky.
Or fell into some weird loophole.
I don't know how I ended up getting a Zilang from SPO while everyone else's preorders are still in limbo!

When I contacted SPO to tell them that the Zilang I recieved was VERY DIFFERENT from what I specified wanting, they said that Arcdoll was very overwhelmed and having trouble with Zilang's production.
If you want to see the emails, I probably have them somewhere.

And somehow when he arrived, despite not being the human body I specified that I was ordering, the body I did get wasn't totally broken at the knees or elbows.

I hope people do get their Zilang's soon. He's the only sculpt that's ever immediately stolen my heart and it'd be a shame not to see more of him around.
If I liked fantasy parts, I'd be stoked about the legs and arms. But I really wanted the human version only xD

I think the situation with Arcdoll + casting service + COVID + dealers + Breakage During Shipping is just a mix of "if it can go wrong, it will" all at once.

I hope Arcdoll gives people some kind of update or compensation? It's kind of a big deal. At the very least I think people with preorders deserve some kind of communication.

If I hadn't spent money on this boy, I'd just give him away to someone that didn't recieve their order. But alas, I gotta recoup the cost somehow and get him a human body. But, yeah Arcdoll needs to give some kind of official update I think?

At the moment, I plan to only sell his body + fantasy parts together. But if I find a buyer that is willing to do a Split, I'd happily split the parts.

 

There is no official post about the shoushou doll though 2 months later and still no news.its frustrating.

Not yet, I did contact BJDivas and they said the last of the Shoushou Doll orders had come in and it was now a matter of sorting and shipping them out.

Of course they are unfortunately still VERY understaffed in their shipping department, so it might take some more time before the dolls are sent out.

 

My Niko is finally shipping! I ordered with BJDivas on Sept 15, Pif, so it's been a 10 month wait, for those also waiting.

 

Same for me, here's hoping everyone's Nikos will start shipping within a week or so! =^_^=

I got a Coco recently and love her to bits, I ended up buying another Coco and a Doudou that I'm waiting on now (secondhand)

 

Has anyone gotten their shoushou doll February orders yet? I also ordered from New Clover Singing but haven’t gotten a shipping notice or anything. The website still says it’s processing and when I emailed Christina she said the orders should be done this month, but someone said earlier that they already received their shipping notice.

 

I have received my blank Coco head in August. So some orders are already shipped.

 

I ordered a full doll so maybe that’s why its taking longer? Do you know if its normal that it would take two months to ship out all orders?

I jumped on an in stock Niko from Bjddiva. I regretted to have not ordered her last preorder.

Is it true that normal skin matches Volks normal MDD (mini dollfie dream) color?
I heard so, but on a lot of the pictures on Instagram her skintone looks quite dark, and I have seen people mention she looks like a light tan.
So I am confused

Popping in because I just sent my first payment for my Cat Coco and I am so so so excited! I have been taking a break from dolls for a few years now and am looking forward to getting back into it!

 

I ordered a boy Cat Coco from Legend Doll as a full doll with faceup on 29 Sept. I chose the A type head for him and a non-muscular body.
