Shoushou Doll Waiting Room!

I have her on order as well, I got 2 heads and the beast body version. She'll be my first anime-styled doll. :3
I dunno if I will keep her a faun, or maybe commission a different tail and make her into a cute devil.

 

Hello! I just found this thread and I ordered one of those girls the second she was available I ordered her directly from the seller on Instagram though on 2/16. She's been one of my grails since they started teasing her and I just can't wait to get her! Hopefully the next 4/5 months go by fast.
I got her on the human body with only one head, but I hope to order another head for her in the future.

 

Ordered a full set Cat Cake sculpt back on December and an additional head on January thru Taobaotrends. Due to the nCoV outbreak, I think my wait time will be extended. Although I read somewhere that Shoushou Doll's casting company is in Europe so I dunno what the real deal is in terms of waiting.

 

Congrats to all, nico sculpt is just sooo cute. I just ordered the GouMeng Head last night.. I am really excited to get him^^ I'm a little nervous cause they only had NS available and I have a WS body. But I loved the sculpt enough I just sorta jumped on it ^^;

 

I too sent for a layaway for the new faun girl. I had been following on Instagram and I couldn’t resist. I got the smiling and pouting head but I didn’t trust my faceup skills for the winking one lol.

 

I saw ShouShou sculpting another doll and got a little concerned about missing Niko if she ever gets suddenly discontinued, so I jumped on the bandwagon finally and ordered Niko in the faun variation today, May 14th.

 

Congrats to both for your Niko orders. She is sooo irresistable. I got my Shoushou GouMeng recently and it is the most beautiful face I've laid eyes on, I love him so much. The sculpting is just exquisite I can't stop staring. I also just ordered the Arc Doll/Shoushou Doll collab Adult Zilang. Excited to see the beautiful boy soon

 

The Arc Doll / Shoushou Zilang looks so good. I also have a Shoushou Gouhai on the way that I'm excited for.

 

I was thinking of ordering a Niko soon has anyone received theirs yet? My boyfriend was thinking of getting the little Zilang as well

 

I ordered mine direct before they signed up with BJDivas in Feb, and no update yet.

 

From what I was told on Instagram when I ordered Niko they said it would be a 4-5 month wait... hopefully we'll see people start to receive theirs next month? I ordered my girl back in the middle of February

I was going to wait for owner pics but ended up starting my layaway for a Niko myself, she looks super cute in the concept pictures and the pictures from BJDivas so I'm really excited.

 

I just got my Goudan head and actually still waiting for Goumeng. Still don’t know what body that will fit them. Is there a shoushou hybrid discussion here?

I have Goumeng and his head fits on my 65 inch DF-H boy body! I can't say much for resin match because it's a normal skin head on a white skin body. I ordered a white skin Goumeng head so I can try to update when he comes in.

Hopping in on the hybrid discussion (we need an actual discussion forum), since I just put gouhuai on layaway. His smirk stole my heart quicker than any other sculpt ever has. I barely missed the discontinuation line.

what other bodies are people using? I'm going to test his head on my feeple60 body when he gets here, but I'm still searching for options. I wish I had the funds to get his default body because it's so pretty. The doll family H body looks promising, so it may be the one I end up going with.

 

I have an Arcdoll adult Zilang on layaway with BJDivas and now I've gone and ordered a Shoushou Goudan through them as well. I couldn't stop going back to look at him, so I knew I would regret it if I didn't take the plunge. Both of these boys are going to be much bigger than my other SDs I'm now trying to see if it's in the stars to add a little Niko to the family, too. Ugh, too many discontinuations at once!

 

I placed my order for all three of the boys that are being discontinued, Gouhuai, Goumeng and Goudan! I ordered directly through the company and cannot wait to receive them! I was told it will take about 5 months for them to arrive. I fell in love with them the first time I saw pics of them posted on Instagram, and couldn't resist anymore when I heard they would no longer be available! :O

Me too! I was shocked that she was getting discontinued so soon, especially since no one I know of has received her yet. I'm glad I ordered her in February too. BJDivas said something like they were having issues with production?

It's a shame since Niko is so cute. I'm glad I splurged and got two heads, now.

I contacted Shoushou Doll via Instagram about the Niko order timeframe, and they said production is expected to be finished at the end of August / early September. So I'd assume the first shipments would be after that.

 

Oh that's good to know! I'm hoping that mail here in the US will get a little better by then. I can't wait to get her

 

Aww it's sad Niko's already being discontinued : ( Seeing the pictures in the BJDiva's update was super nice though she's so cute and I'm super excited to get her~

 

Shes so cute! With her being discontinued I saw that bjdivas is taking orders for the head and body separately so I'm really thinking about getting another head for her. Especially since I ordered through instagram and I'm worried about trying to add another head to my current order on there.

 

I already got two heads from my original order but now I’m considering trying to add on the human legs since she’s being discontinued. I don’t think I will use them though.

 

Right... I was debating on getting the winking head too since I wont be able to in the future but that's another face up to get and I hate having floating heads around.

I didn't even think about the human legs though... I have human options for my two "beast" dolls but I don't even think about using them lol So I think I'll be fine not getting human legs myself but it is tempting...

I just jumped in on a long layaway for a Niko, too. I actually only saw the notice of discontinuation today! She's been on my wishlist since I first saw her and I didn't want to let her get away, so i I went for the faun body with the first two heads. (The winky one is adorable but I don't think my faceup style will work with it.)

I wasn't clear on what she comes with for horns, so I'm hoping I can get the unicorn horn for her. I want a cute fluffy unicorn girl!

 

Niko is being discontinued too??? I ordered all 3 of their boys last month for that very reason!

 

Yeah unfortunately they decided to discontinue Niko after August 8th. BJDivas said that they were hard to manufacture and that's why they decided to discontinue her so soon...
They're supposed to start shipping out this month! I can't wait to see owner photos and how people style her. She's just so cute.
I wish she wasn't discontinued so soon.. I hope everyone that wants her has a chance to get her!

 

Sadly, yes. She wasn't on my plans for the near future (especially as I just ordered three other dolls), but I didn't want to miss her, so I requested a 12-month layaway to squeeze her in.

 

I'm waffling so hard on whether or not to jump on a layaway for Niko too. So many dolls I've had on my "someday" lists ended up cropping up or discontinuing so tightly together that I've already had to let a couple of them pass me by. I'd feel better about doing it if I knew when a certain OT doll I've been waiting for was out. It's already unusual that I have three dolls in the works at one time, I hesitate to put a fourth when I know there's still that one must-have hanging over me. But I've admired Niko since she came out... sigh. I was supposed to focus on finding bodies for my floating heads this year.

 

The faun version comes with the two horns and the beast legs. The single horn comes with the humans legs... I'm sure you could ask and request to get the unicorn horn instead tho! It seems they're pretty open to mixing and matching and letting people order extras.

 

I ordered a second Niko today, because I absolutely love her and was thinking of making a twin for my first before the discontinuation announcement.
I can't wait to see them.

 

Awesome, thank you! I know BJDivas is woefully understaffed right now, but I did send a message yesterday (shortly after the layaway request message) asking if I could get the single horn or both sets in my order. So fingers crossed!

 

I wanted to order a unicorn with a tail, but I was told by BJDIvas that Shoushou does not allow such hybrids. Oh well, too bad, but it isn't a deal breaker for me

 

Oh I didn’t know there was a waiting room for Shoushou. Ordered Niko on February 16th! She’ll be my first anime style doll (kind of nervous about trying to do a faceup but it might be fun). Still waiting so far

 

I realized by the time I was dusting off my drawing tablet to play with recolors of Niko's picture I was already sunk I just did the steps to put her on layaway with BJDivas. Hopefully they still see my request before the order closes.

Her clear bits will be getting a dip in the dye pot, if ever I can pick a color. Leaning towards an aqua/turquoise at the moment. Every single color I've tried looks good

 

Guess I'm joining in this room now too. Divas asked and the company was nice enough to let me order just Niko's human body with the extra hands so that I can hybrid her with a different head. Don't get me wrong, the head that comes with the body is flipping adorable...just I don't have anime styled dolls and it wouldn't fit my character. I can hardly wait for her to get in.

 

It's all official now, I just made the first payment, and they'll be able to get me the unicorn horn instead of the faun ones. So I'll be able to have my fluffy rainbow unicorn girl!

My fiance doesnt have an account on here, but after he saw niko he ended up starting a layaway for her he plans to make her a little faun girl and sculpt her some antlers.
For mine I'm going to make her into a pastel themed girl with a lot of purples and pinks and blues to go with her more whimsical look.
Is it weird that I'm oddly excited to have a doll with a resin wig?

 

@Justjordy0 I'm excited about the resin wig, too! I haven't decided if she'll wear it all the time, but it seems like it would make travelling easier- no need to carry a brush around for photoshoots!

BJDivas confirmed my layaway and I've paid the first installment. Yay, I'm official! I think I've settled on how I want to color her, too- there's a turquoise dye I think would look nice on the clear pieces, then accent with blues, some mint, some purple...

Oh, what eye size is everyone ordering for her? I see on BJDivas that it says eye size 22mm but that seems large? Is that right?

 

I ordered 22mm for mine, and when you look at her head on shoushou's Instagram, 22mm seems absolutely correct lol No one has their Niko yet to test out eyes in yet sadly.

 

Nope! I'm excited too, even if I'm not going to always be using it (she looks so good in regular wigs in Shoushou's photos, after all).

I've wanted a doll with a resin wig for a while, they're just so neat, and remind me of my days as a sculptor in college/how I'd sculpt hair. I've also wanted an anime-style doll, and a cutesy girl (I don't really have any, all my girls have very non-cutesy styles right now), so my plan is fluffy rainbow unicorn who wears cute colorful outfits. I have a great little wa-lolita pattern I'd love to adapt to fit her!

I ordered a normal skin Niko with that cute wink. That playful look was love at first sight for me.
When I first saw Niko, I just thought the sculpt is super cute and that was it. I was able to resist.
Then I kept seeing Niko's photos as the discontinuation date approached and I was like Ahhhh Fine. I will get one too! Yolo!
Did my first payment with BjDivas. I'm just super excited.

Messaged Shoushou about a week ago for an update (I ordered in February). They said she will probably ship this month. Fingers crossed!

 

Throwing my name into the ring. I ordered Niko late July, and then a week later they announced they were retiring her!
I ordered her with all options parts and all three heads and have already booked a faceup artist for her, Although I'm thinking she won't be here in time for the booked spot so I'll need to change. Oof. Can't wait to see what everyone does when they get her!

 

I adore her body style, so I took the plunge and ordered her as a faun and with human parts and her wig from BJDivas. It'll be a long layaway, and a different kind of doll for me, but I'm interested to see what it'll be like to work and play with!
