I believe it will probably going to be Volks Ushiwakamaru...i was about to have her once on yahoo auction but finally failed...till now Im trying to find her everywhere, hope one day I may have her by here, in DOA.
I don't think I'll ever get any dolls that I consider 'beautiful'. I love looking at pictures but don't really want to own them.
Pretty much every doll from RingDoll. I could browse their site for hours, and I love the details on all of their sculpts. Still, I haven't really found a doll from them that I've looked at and thought, "I NEED this doll." Well, not yet anyway. I am a huge fan of their styling, though, so I'd probably end up getting a full set from them and just putting the doll on display if I ever did cave in.
I LOVE Souldoll Freya. Her nose and expression are just adorable. However, knowing what I know about their poseability and Freya's slightly awkward size... nuh-uh. Nope. I am not doing that to myself. I'd just be frustrated.
I have had so many dolls that I fell for because of company photos only to be disappointed due to lack of pose ability or feeling I spent to much on something that felt kind of generic. Only one is so wanted but the cost was so crazy I had to not only say no but couldn't even swing with the layaway that was offered. IOS Doctor Strange. So wanted him but $2500 for a BJD even with everything he came with was to crazy. I am not a fan of dolls that look like real people as kind of creeps me out. But having him all dressed and pose able was so desired. But so unreachable. Sad as even tried to find three local friends to split cost and share him with each one of us having him for three months would have been great. But even a four way split was not doable.
Minifee Liria... She's so rare that I doubt I'll ever have her. I came close to having one, but it didn't happen.
RingDoll Warren or RingDoll Senkai probably, they are really beautiful and stylish but I prefer to create my own faceup and own clothes.
Sweetgale Cyril... The company was not that famous during the time he was released so he's really rare
SpiritDoll Little Mermaid. She is so gorgeous. Her sculpt is so nice and delicate looking. She's limited and cost quite a bit but she is worth it. I won't be able to get her though. Perhaps one day second hand.
Volks Yugiri is another one on my always want list. My grail was Volks Michele, and when I had the money to buy one, but couldn't find him, Yugiri was my second choice. I found Michele but I still look sometimes at second-hands Yugiris. Saw one recently....still love him. Do not love the second-hand price tag tho.
I consider Dollzone Robin to be one of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen, but I'm not incredibly fond of handling lanky 70cm boys and don't want to ever deal with DZ's enormous wait time. I'm content admiring his outstanding nose from afar.
Probably Volks Megu. She was the doll that made me want to get into the hobby, and if someone dropped her in my lap as a gift I wouldn't refuse, but my aesthetic has moved on.
I adore the Juri 2011 head, but... A) I don't need one. I've already got two Juri 2013 heads that need bodies. B) They seem to be hard to find. As happy as that sculpt looks I can see why owners don't want to part with theirs!
-dd-Ann lotus near -bishonine House vince, nails or Steve These are dolls that I love but didn’t find out about them until to late and they are no longer in production :/ Popovy sisters little owl or pewit. Gorgeous dolls but at 800-3500 per doll (a mini doll) that’s a little to expensive maybe one day though
It would probably be the Venitu head Ive been eying on Instagram. Even though I have plans for him, the seller wants a ton of cash for it, like more than she should be asking for the head.
doll chateau sexta, it's a gorgeous sculpt and the factory faceup is to die for but ouch, that price tag.
Soom Idealian Gluino Vampire He is what made me notice the hobby. I decided to go for the 1/4 sized dolls though when I found out how big he really was! Also he is really expensive! Too big and too expensive for my measly budget. I'll probably never get him, but it doesn't stop me from admiring him.
MaskCat Frances. She is SD sized and I don't want to have anything bigger than MSDs because they are bigger and heavier but she is the first SD sized doll I imagined myself buying.
Volks Hijikata and Saito... God they are too beautiful for words! But i cant justify over $1000 for one when I still need to buy a car haha
Volks William and SOOM Dia, the dolls that are to me, the equivalent of Dollfie Dreams to nerdy, Otaku guys. I am *incredibly* attracted to these two beautiful men (well as attracted as any person can be to a doll lol) they're just my type in looks for what I look for in guys, however my doll collection is solely based out of a desire to up my cute aesthetic/image and so these two guys would be severely out of place. Also I haven't gotten to the point where I'm so desperate I'll start collecting dolls to serve as stand-in husbandos, so yeah it'd just be pointless for me to own them. Still adore the sculpts though, still consider them the sexiest and most handsome in the industry.
Beginning to think that no one who owns a Dollzone Moment or Anson will willingly part with it. Also, while I desperately want one of Akhmel's boy dolls, she hasn't been active (that I can tell) on any of her sites in years. So the odds of being able to buy one from another pre order are slim.
Soom's Captain Hook- the Ticking Crocodile. The crocodile version is just so cool, with the sharp teeth and the lizard feet. But all my dolls are tinies, and he was a limited time order. Very unlikely I'll ever get one.
Doll Chateau Snowborn- I love him aesthetically, I'm totally obsessed with his sculpt... but he's too big. I can't get over how much I really feel uncomfortable with 70+cm dolls, even for arguably one of my favorite sculpts, period. As sad as it sounds, even if I found one at a crazy low price I don't know if I would buy it. Also Dust of Dolls Spun and Be With You Pumpkin to a lesser extent. For those it's more of a size-to-price ratio issue... My price cap for dolls is around $300, and for Yo-SDs it's even lower. I just can't justify that sort of price tag, and considering how rare both sculpts are there's not a high chance of me stumbling upon one that's drastically reduced from damage or something.
Volks-Hikaru Genji. I cannot find anyone who’s selling there’s and I don’t think Volks is making another round of him (((( he’ll always be in my dreams I suppose.
i absolutely love the sugerble genie but i can never get it as its not for sale no more nor will anyone ever put him on the 2nd hand market because so little of him was made T.T
Volks Kaelin... I don't think I'll ever get to own one- he's so rare and so pricey- but he's so beautiful and I've always had a soft spot for him. I do own a Volks F-16 who looks quite similar to Kaelin.
I've wanted a Migidoll Yuri from the moment I saw him, but trying to find him now has been super difficult (part of why I'm working towards Marketplace access here; instagram was not proving very fruitful).
Iplehouse Dexter is so handsome but I don’t know if I could ever do a doll like that justice?? I feel like he’d only have one outfit and I’d never use him which would be a big waste... still really like him
Souldoll Shiva and PlasticMoon/Foolbot's Mr. Kitty. I was a little too late on the rerelease of Shiva by a couple of months... So sad. I'm hopeful that there's at least a better chance I can find one second hand now though. Mr. Kitty though... I've loved that little doll since before I really knew about the hobby. It doesn't look like the artist is going to make dolls anymore since they've been on hiatus for so long. I don't even know how many of Mr. Kitty were actually made.
Minimee's or other 'real people' style dolls, I've never had one so maybe this would change but it just feels so limiting, I'd rather buy a nice hot toys or etc.
At the moment, I guess it would be Iplehouse Stella and Loongsoul Helian Rongying. They're my dream sculpts for the older versions of my main characters' children, but I am still not sold on the idea of keeping MSD and SD versions of the same character at different ages. Apart from space considerations, I'm not too eager to get another Iplehouse body (one badly posing JID is already enough).
Anything from Little Rebel. I adore every one of these sculpts (and to a lesser extent, Youpla dolls too) but I can't see myself owning one.
It would most likely be Soom's Zak for me. He's a great looking doll, but he's not a top priority for me. There are a ton of SWITCH sculpts that I probably won't get either.
I love Iplehouse girls, Rexy and Biana, but they are too normal looking for me. I like my dolls to have a certain look but will admire from afar
Probably Volks Michelle or... basically half of the Volks dolls I really love but are reaaaally expensive. But we'll see, maybe I will be really rich in the future lololo You never know!
Souldoll Souloid Kowalski in brown tan. Not only is he super rare, but his starting cost was $1200 new. I can't imagine how much I would have to pay to get him now. I feel like I should at least pay off my car and other loans before I can even consider trying for him. T_T
I really love SoulDoll Paw - Wolf Version but I know he will be hard to find in general, not to mention that I only want him in green or grey which will further limit my options. I suppose if he pops up and I have the money on hand Ill snatch him up but I'm not holding my breath on it.
Minifees probably (Liria most likely). I've seen so many conflicting reviews on them, and they cost so much, that I'll probably just keep admiring them from a distance. Also - Black Cherry Aishat. I adore the sculpt and all the versions of the doll that I've seen, but a) it's sold only as a head, and hybriding is just not my cup of tea, b) the head is meant for an SD body while I prefer MSDs. /sigh/ The doll is fascinating anyway, though.
DOD Shall. Cause the company doesnt exist anymore TwT I'd need to run into one second-hand that I can afford, and the chances are not very likely.
I'm dreaming about limited Ringdoll Red King Full Set. He is glorious, but it is sold out and costs too much for me.
Minifee Celine. I absolutely love the sculpt and think that she is beautiful ! I won't buy her sadly because the minifees are to big for me. I prefer the tiny dolls.
Dream of Doll Code No. 2 since the company went MIA before I finally able to save enough money to get him.
I love russain art dolls such as Ancient Tales dolls 42 cm BJD doll. MSD resin doll. Blank ball jointed doll. Ancient Tales bjd. Free shipping polyurethane ooak full set dolls. artisan custom She is the cheapest one I have found and I hope to get her one day.
For me, it tends to be anthro dolls. Maybe I'll get one at some point, but for some reason, they never interest me enough to want to buy one. Currently, Bobobie/RS has some fantasy dolls that are catching my eye... but I feel like I'm probably going to just keep looking. Also, the effort to accommodate different parts (like ears) seems more daunting than I'm willing to dedicate time to.
I always catch myself when I name a company because one day, if I stare at them long enough, they might finally make a doll that catches my eye, but for the most part: Minifees. I think some people have done some WONDERFUL things with Minifees, there are many of them that look far better when it comes to being put together than most of my dolls. I am not attempting to insult Minifee owners or the dolls themselves but they are just not my cup of tea. A few Feeple60s and Feeple65s have made me consider dipping my toes into the Fairyland pool but so far none of them have demanded it. Minifees are just that big-eyed, small-nosed (and mouthed) creature that I normally dislike. I have never seen a blank sculpt that makes me go "oooh, I want that", although a few minifees that are owned by people definitely make me go "that is amazing, I wish the regular doll looked like that and I would be tempted".
I love owner photos of fairyland dolls, pukifee and littlefee but I don’t know if I will ever get one. Maybe after I am satisfied with my iplehouse tinies and Lati tinies I’ll look at fairyland again.
It’s definitely Iplehouse for me. Their dolls are drop dead gorgeous, and I absolutely love looking at them, but they are far too realistic for my personal aesthetic. My collection is more fantasy-based, and I’ve found from experience that overly realistic dolls just don’t fit my characters as well as the more stylized ones do. I guess I’m living in a fairytale world and don’t want any pesky reality sneaking in!
