So, He's not a CP, but I had to get in on the 'Doll Scanning'. It just seemed like too much fun!

 

When I stumbled across this bumped thread in the Gallery, I was utterly charmed and had to immediately pick up a puki who is always standing here and reach across and scan her!!! Then I thought I would move this thread to the BJD Games so all of us can play!!!

Since I don't have a working camera at the moment, this thread helped me realized there was an alternative way to photograph my new boy! ^_^ *hugz scanner*

This one is somewhat unique since it could pretty much only be done with the aid of a scanner. I noticed that the hat only fits on his BALD head, so instead of having him wear the wig, I tried to place it in a way that looked as if it were coming from under the hat xD

(sorry if I've gone overboard, but I'm going through camera withdrawls >_>")

these are all so awesome! that being said, i finally hooked my scanner back up and did some scans of my girls last night...unfortunately, my scanner decided to add lines to everything... T_T

 

my scanner is crap in comparison to some of the ones on here. Lol I had to add a lot of Snug's color back in Adobe, the scanner totally washed him out!!

I threw a red velvety blanket over this one (uh, and some skeleton bits...) trying to block out the light and make it not so gray.

 

This is so much fun! My scanner is actually quite trashy, but well...

I really, REALLY love this effect. Dolls have never looked so life-like, so stunning!! A few scans I made of my dolls real quick:









Love how the scanner captures texture and colors so well, and manages to simulate the idea of movement. I will definitely be using it more in the future!

My scanner is small, so it was really difficult trying to get Arisa on it. Her wig was all over the place.


But the second one came out better. Arisa looks like a magician.
