SartoriaJ Mini Part II

I love his tabbard and armour. My Matias is sooo jealous.

So I see the instagram just posted a very close in shot of the S. Clara sculpt, and a few days ago started posting teasers of the fairies of winter outfits. Who else is curious to see how the Clara looks like with both her sculpts? I thought Lili turned out very nicely, so this has my interest.

 

Woah, the fairy Angela is beautiful! Wish they had that face up on offer when I bought my Angela last year!

Now - question for everyone - does anyone know what shoes fit on the male SartoriaJ feet, other than the shoes on the website itself? Can they wear other 1/4 shoes at all - and which ones if so?

I'm planning on ordering a boy - once I decide which one - and I need to know whether to order him shoes as well, none of the styles are exactly what I had in mind, but if nothing else fits i'll get some anyway!

 

Oh thank you so much, that’s really good to know! I have those same cowboy boots in black to fit my FID boy, good to know they fit both! Time to look at eBay and see what styles are on offer I think!

 

They both - and the horse - look so amazing with the armour and clothes you’ve created!!! I’m in awe!!!!

 

They look is good together. I wouldn't have ever chosen that color combo, but seeing it all put together everything fits so well together! The horse and Matias and Agnes look like they tell a whole story just standing there.

Well, the last two new MSD dolls of the Christmas period have been released! They're gorgeous, but not what I was after - however, now they're out I can finally order the doll I've been holding off on, just in case I liked one of the new ones more - but no, so I'm getting Philip, with face-up F, on the new body! I'm so excited!!! I've been wanting to get a boy for ages and originally really wanted Jude, but since he's been discontinued for a while now, it was time to move on - and when I saw how the styled Philip in the SD version, I knew he was just what I wanted!!! Glad I waited now, as I like the new 51 body much better too.

So now I guess I'd better settle in for that 4-6 month wait!
Maybe I'll make some clothes for him in the meantime, I'm not entirely sure they will fit, but if I make them to fit my FID then at least he can wear them!

 

Oh damn, I just sold my FID muscle boy (decided I didn’t like his sculpt so much after all), only got the model guy left!!! Oh well, maybe I’ll hold off sewing for him until he arrives then. At least then I can be sure what colours suit him. Eventually I might get a new muscle guy, but not any time soon since the money has gone to the Sartoriaj guy instead! Thanks for letting me know, you’ve saved me from making him something that won’t fit!!!

 

I got a MSD Philip with that face up. It's a very nice one. It translated well to the smaller one. I was super pleased with it.

 

Ooh that’s wonderful to see, it’s always a bit of a gamble if you haven’t seen the face up on the actual doll/actual doll size - but he looks great! So handsome!!!

 

I have found this to be true also. I prefer the relative stability of the Iplehouse bodies, but put up with any minor difficulties on SJ bodies because I love their sculpts and faceups so much. I must learn to wire or suede them.

 

I love my Phillip, too. I got that same faceup for my msd Phillip and he is so gorgeous. I love this picture!

 

So I'm almost approaching my last payment of my 6 month layaway. Will they email me when it's ready or do I have to check on the website?

I ordered two dolls last May, received one last month and the other one is in customs now. I did not receive any emails, I kept (keep) checking the website for updates. Edited to add her unboxing pic. She has eyes now, just needs a wig and clothes.

Apparently Melissa has been made and is just waiting for make up. She will hopefully be shipped in January (I ordered in August) .

Anyone else tempted by Silvia? I'm thinking I might order her . The free shipping makes it even more tempting!

As for the Christmas offerings, I love Daniel's oufit...but it only comes with the doll...and I'm loving Freya and her outfit...but I'm waiting till I see what Tarot Death Zeus looks like...

A bit off topic, but exciting news as it looks like the fashion scale dolls are becoming more popular - Ringdoll have just released a version of one of their big SD dolls in fashion doll scale!!! VERY cheap and he has armour and a fancy staff and everything! Raymond 2.0 1/4 Scale
Doesn't look like you can buy the outfit and armour separately, but I wonder if it fits SartoriaJ dolls? The doll is 50cm tall so it might?
Sorry, I know this isn't about SartoriaJ dolls, but I do find it exciting when there are more dolls in this scale to all mix together!!!

Has anyone ordered any of the boys on the new 51 ATH body? I'm loving the look of it, but I've heard mixed reviews about the posing of their previous MSD boy bodies so am hoping this one will be better?

Also, what is the best way to keep up with the release of limited sculpt releases? And do they ever come back? (I ask, as someone who has definitely missed on one I would've liked *cough* Eugene *cough*)

I’ve ordered one but he’s not here yet - they only became available in December so I’m guessing they won’t arrive until March at least, or even June, judging from previous wait times. And you can keep up with sculpt releases by subscribing to Sartoriaj’s emails, they email you with any new releases, sales, etc. I just got an email this morning saying there’s a sale on their clothing!

My new Juliet!!! I waited until her new eyes arrived (Heart of a Fairy, 8mm with 4mm iris in case that helps anyone else - finally I found eyes that fit!!!), and I made her a dress too - the bodice fit is a bit off so I sewed lots of pearls on it to distract from it, lol! I may or may not get her a new wig. It actually looks fine in the photo but wasn't quite the shade I wanted when you see it irl, unfortunately.
