Thanks GreenTeaSlug and earth.spirits, that was very helpful. I like the look of the peach cream, but I think I would have fewer options matching it. It really needs that Iple peach gold or a future SartoriaJ body in the peach because of the undertones. Ruling it out gets me closer with us running out of time to order him.

 

oh wow i gotta tell you guys. i am absolutely fuming from this, i think it's time this is a public vent.

i ordered from sartoria j's etsy shop in january and received my items in late february. they were explicitly advertised as being for the Dollshe 26F body, which i own. the clothes didn't fit by any stretch of the imagination. i could hear the seams of the shorts tearing VERY audibly, and the shirt couldn't stretch across the PETITE BUST chest. it was a bib, not a blouse.

i was told "that's just how they fit, they're meant to be tight" and i could return them for a refund. okay, that's fine. they weren't going to pay return shipping, and because of the very limited shipping options, i sent it back via return to sender. and waited. and waited. and waited. i messaged them intermittently asking for updates and they said "you will get a refund when we receive the package."

i am now closing in on paypal's claim deadline, so i opened up a claim. this wasn't an inherently antagonistic move, it's to protect myself because their clothes are NOT cheap, they were absolutely nothing like what was explicitly described, and my deadline is june 5th.
but then.......i found the tracking number. i don't know why but etsy makes it a fun game to hide the actual tracking numbers on purchases, but i found it. it was delivered May 3rd -- and rejected. it last updated at May 23rd as "Kept at Post Office." it's been sitting there for close to a MONTH.

i no longer have ANY guilt over opening this paypal claim. don't order from sartoria j.

 

@Zest, That's disturbing! I have a number of outfits I haven't even tried on yet but I have enough dolls that they will probably fit someone else if there is a problem.

 

I just got in my SD clothes and they fit well and were easy to get on. Some of their styles are in both MSD and SD. I wonder if they mislabeled yours and sent you the wrong sizes. Or if they were sewn just too small. You have really been put through the wringer. I'm sorry you had such a bad time with them. It is concerning for all of us who have pending orders to hear your experience.

 

@Zest, I am sorry for your trouble. Unfortunately, it doesn´t surprise me. I bought some very expensive shoes for my Dollshe fashion girl, which were supposed to fit, but absolutely do not. I bought an EID jeans, especially for the model body, which is far too wide. I bought a hoodie for the FID model body, which barely fits (only with much force) and which would never ever fit the muscle body. Meanwhile I am very reluctant to order clothes from them. Even if I also have some clothes which fit well. It seems very strange to me, sometimes it fits, sometimes it doesn´t. But it certainly leaves a bad taste.

 

@Zest - Wow, sorry to hear that. Did you try emailing SJ with the tracking info to see what they said about it?

 

I'm sorry to hear the trouble you've had. I can't say I have had any. They had always been pleasant to work with and so far the things have fit.

@Sianserais i did! they've been ghosting me ever since. i know they're ghosting me, i.e., intentionally not replying, because they responded to my paypal claim within an hour of me opening it. seems a little weird they have such a fast response time to that, but two messages asking for my refund and questioning why the package was refused get nothing.

no one's "oh but they're great me" will ever change this MASSIVE lapse in customer service and crap quality. don't buy from them, ever, for anything, they're jackasses.

I got to admit I've been a bit busy with RL that I haven't had the time to do some of the project I got pending. The hands is one of them. Hopefully I can get some of them done this year. I was pleased that I got Yvonne set up. Was trying to set up Jude as well, but haven't gotten to it.

they were part of the Carved Heritage design team so yeah frankly I'm terrified... During CH's run I put in a 'weapons order that still makes me cringe a bit... but I don't regret it LOL. the bit of video has me more than a 'little' worried for my money lol

 

Well, I can't say I have much use for skull decorations, but more weapons and pirate-themed outfits could be welcome for my crew! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hi! I'm new to big dolls (have 4 IH FIDs) but I went crazy and ordered a Dollshe 18M 70cm Mystic Pose body with Arsene head during their big sale (god knows when I'll get it). Then started collecting more heads (Rosen Garden Chocolate Cookie, Modoll Kris Wu, Pygmalion Chen, and Zakary Beast). I have written to Jay and she suggested a warm ivory head to go with Dollshe Fresh and gave me links to clothes (bought a lot so I hope they fit). I like Asian dolls (kdramas and kpop) so I hope the Beast looks a bit Asian in person. I am thrilled to get another Zakozako faceup (My FID Isabel was the other). I find it interesting that I am suddenly going big with my old bad wrists! Haha. I just love the idea of switching heads (and personalities) and I have successfully sanded neck openings so I suddenly have so many options.
I just read everything on this thread and look forward to all your great info for Zakary in the future. I'll let you see (someday) how my adventure all turns out. Now if I could only stop buying clothes for a body I don't have...

 

@GreenTeaSlug Thank you for all the great information and ideas! As I remember (but I may be wrong) I don't think oriental was offered in the sale (or maybe I didn't want to pay extra). My plan is to get all the heads which are mostly NS (which I think is pinky) and then see if I will be able to body blush the fresh body to match as many heads as possible. Chances are I will need another body, I'll see. Same with the necks. Once the body is here, it should get pretty wild. At least the Arsene head will match as is. I did faceups on Cookie and today Kris Wu. Only Chen to go, but he won't arrive till after Zakary. When I'm doing them, I am keeping the skin mostly resin color and light. I figure I can adjust from there. It may all be a disaster! Haha. But I'm having an awful lot of fun.

 

I got tangled up with SJ when they were still with Iplehouse at the tail end of the theme actually called "The Addiction" then slid into Carved Heritage when I was doing well financially. And pirates are a particular weakness of mine lol. Now that SJ is going down that path when my circumstances have quite changed... i am scared stupid lol and omg one of us on a hoarder show... yep I can so see this lol yikes.

 

At least it is just an outfit and not a doll with the outfit!

 

In case anyone was wondering...The MIrror Queen set fits on an Iplehouse HID medium bust body.

I should be getting a shipping notice for Beast Zakary at the end of July. I don't really know who he will be. I was hoping to make him Asian with dark hair. We'll see. I also ordered the burgundy suit and a white shirt. In any case, he will be sophisticated.

What are others planning for their head's characters?

@Bluenocs - @oriscany - @collectionkate - @Bren - @yhlee - Thanks everyone so much for the kind comments. The Mirror Queen outfit is really nice. And I do believe it will fit lovely on an EID woman. It has laces up the back so that helps and the little puffy wrist-lets/sleeve thingies are separate, so they just pop over the hands and length of sleeve is no problem.

 

@luluna Thanks so much for the answer! I don't own an EID girl--yet--but I am determined to obtain one this year! And I admit, that outfit is glorious and I have been coveting it.

 

@yhlee - No problem! And I just checked over on the SartorialJ section on etsy and the photos they use for the Mirror Queen outfit are on an EID body...so you are good to go!

 

What do you all think of the two size head options for MSD Jude?

The slightly larger head (6/7) might be easier to locate wigs, in addition to not having the 'pin head' look that some think the smaller heads have on the muscle bodies.



Has anyone asked if there will be other face-up options?

 

I was all set to order and then I saw the head size option! I'm leaning towards the 6/7 size.They also said there would be two outfit choices.

 

I was definitely surprised to see that, but I think I like the 6-7" head better too.
Also, I received my Yvonne head some days ago, but have nowhere to take photos at the moment...

I had the same thought. If you are adding Jude bigger head to use with the FID's because of the body I also feared he would look off, making him look too big head among the rest of the smaller headed dolls. I did wonder how the head may look on a JID tho. I know all the previous JID's look so young and this would be a nice head to make him mature looking. The JID"S have bigger heads. I do have Violet which may enjoy having a bigger headed dude to match her bigger head.

Do you happen to know which head they use when showing the FID's muscular body on? was it the 5/6 or the 6/7? I didn't know they would have two heads until he came out.

I just got my answer. It was the 5/6 head on the FID body.

 

I like the smaller head probably because it looks right to me after playing with my four FIDs.
