That's a tough decision... faceup or no faceup. I agree, blushing the body to match the head would not be fun. I think warm ivory is supposed to be a close match to normal skin but I don't know for certain. Here is a link to the resin colors and what it's equivalents are. ILLUM SKINNOTICE - SartoriaJ. @PennyDes Thanks a ton! I finally asked Jay about it - he said NS would be the better match. Which is actually perfect since I would like her far more on the EID body I have

@luluna You're welcome . I'm glad to know the resin match for amber beige to special real is so accurate. It gives me hope that the other two colors offered will match their iplehouse counterparts just as well.

@PennyDes - The only other doll company I know of with wait times like that is Iplehouse. Super impressive timing really.

 

Just ordered the Yvonne head in the NS shade with faceup A, need another doll head like the proverbial hole in the head but I couldn't resist her. I am hoping she might fit on my Twigling body as I have had so many heads on it and can never seem to find 'the perfect one'.

I am holding out a bit longer to order Yvonne to see other faceup options. Still hoping for “edgy” Yvonne.

I ordered Yvonne now too, in Warm Ivory with face up B. If there really will be another face up to choose, which I would like better, changing that wouldn´t be a problem, I hope.

 

I did order a faceup on both heads! And the Braveheart set!

Thank you I will have Yvonne sharing a body with my Iplehouse SID Isabel (original style SID body). I have so many floating heads no SD doll has a body all to themselves anymore.

Thanks too for the heads up that there might be alternate face ups and outfits still coming for Yvonne. Hopefully i won't like any of those over the face up i already ordered, lol .
Those Iple full set outfits from the story series were definitely amazing. Sartoria J did the full set designs for the Iplehouse Addiction series and i think Carved Heritage also. The fine elaborate detail and fabric choices blow me away everytime.

Idealian body. How sweet. She will look great. I only have a bronze body so I don't think the RS will work on it. So most likely I will have my Yvonne on my HID or EID body. I have RS on those as well as the others. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures of the body. The neck looks great on all of them. I'm so pleased to see it.

I love reading how SartoriaJ was the creator behind those fantastic themes. Mirror set is beautiful crafted. I remember seeing their first rococo dress along with the uniform. They were just starting so pretty happy to see them succeed.

I think Mirror set fits perfectly with the previous Royalty outfits that iple had just by themselves on sale a few years ago.

 

SJ's work is just so amazing it's so nice to see craftsmanship be rewarded by such success.
Totally agree... the mirror set would fit in seamlessly (forgive the bad pun, lol) with the Iplehouse Royalty outfits .

On the subject of color matching - I know Jay mentioned that his amber beige also matches Dollshe Copper Oriental - Anyone here have a Sartorial J head in amber beige on a Dollshe Copper Oriental body? If so, I would be most appreciative of photos, so I could actually see if his head(s) would match my Dollshe Copper Oriental body. I also have Iplehouse Real Skin in my crew, but mine are both much darker in tone than my Dollshe Copper Oriental. Thanking you in advance! : )

 

Thank you, @GreenTeaSlug, for this info. My Iplehouse RS dolls are much darker in tone than my Dollshe copper oriental, so my original plan to hybrid with this head may not necessarily work for me. Hmm, I will have to mull this over.

I did find one link (up-thread) to a description (and photo) of a Jude head in amber beige on a Venitu copper oriental body. Do you (or any other of our members here) have a link to other photos showing amber beige on or next to copper oriental? It would be very helpful to see. Thanks again! : )

Hi. I'm pretty new to the bjd scene and almost died when I saw the pictures of Yvonne in the mirror set. And now seeing a few more pictures of her posted to instagram in different styles of lingerie....I am debating ordering her. I'm leaning towards faceup B. I'm so glad to see the discussion on the different resin colours; I will eventually have to order a body for her as I have nothing at the moment. It'll be so fun to see what Sartoria has in store for her. I love the period costumes.

I just order the Yvonne head in amber beige to fit my nyid body in real skin. I'm glad someone is making heads that match other tan colors.

 

so I have decided to go thru the main site (not the etsy store)... been trying to sign in for 3 days lol.... i had my "ID" and and password written out.... only I forgot that i hadn't signed up already lol god I'm dumb. (the ID and PW's are longer than I am used too and also 'stronger' in requirements than I am used to ... good on Jay for this one! ,,, so I wrote them out 'ahead' of time lol oops.

That being said, I was looking at the msd shoes and they do not break down or lable as fit for Iple FID's... the SD shoes state if they fit Iple's... am I missing something? I had thought to lay in a basic outfit for each new doll I am getting but not sure about the 'msd' fit. And why won't any company maintain a stock of 'black, white, and bone' BASIC pump? I can't be the only person who needs this for her girls??? I'm also debating the crystal spray crown... anyone got that? would love to see an IRL pic.

I'm thrilled to see that Exotic face up. She will match perfectly with my Egyptian theme. My ISIS and Anubis stuff. Love the whole concept and the whole Cleopatra set. Thanks for the news that SartoriaJ will be making full dolls in the future. I do hope they do the bodies more like the realistics ones. There's a reason why my collection is mostly Iple. I don't usually care to much for the other bodies I've seen and why I didn't get involved in the BJD collections until I saw those beautiful EID's.

 

I do like Yvonne's third face up option and clothing set, I'm a sucker for all things ancient Egyptian!

 

I'm a sucker for Egyptian dolls also but I think she would look best in peach cream and that would mean a new body.

I also am trying to dicide what to do with my Jude heads. I got Braveheart in amber biege hoping to put it on a Soom Idealian body but the color is much darker than even the bronze dolls I have! I do have an SID realskin Storm and I will have to get him out and check the match but the outfit may be too big on him.

I got the Jude Francis head also but I somehow ordered the peach cream instead of the warm ivory! So he doesn't match the intended body either!

Also thank you for letting us know that Jay is planning on making bodies, and full dolls. That's great news! I hope he will also offer bodies (by themselves) to those of us who have purchased his heads.

 

That would be great if the bodies were available separately! My heads wouldn't mind waiting a year for the right body!

 

Thanks again, @GreenTeaSlug, for the additional photos - very, very helpful. I also think blushing the body and neck / shoulder area of the body would help with making the two tones more harmonious.

Yes, I too have high hopes for the new bodies (male and female will be done eventually, I presume) It's hard to choose what size I'd prefer but I do agree with you something between a HID and EID just like you mentioned would be so nice. I definitely would like bust options...with a small option for sure. As for a male...maybe a tall SID? LOL

Agreeing with other folks here that HID / EID size bodies for the gals would be perfect, and definitely featuring a small bust option. I would prefer SID size for the guys.

 

Nice to hear the information about bodies coming in the future! Personally, I'd like to see SJ give us three-part torsos, since I don't think Iplehouse is likely to do that.

 

I hope they don't do the three part torso. I have a couple of dolls with it and they don't always sit tight and right. It drives me nuts.

 

I would like a more muscular body for the girls, but I don´t think they will do that. Also no three part torso, if I could choose.

 

Thigh joints to aid sitting would be far better. Though I really don't mind either way. It really depends on what the engineering is like.

 

@Ashemanu I agree, I still like Yvonne face up B best too.... fingers crossed I feel that way about the next faceup to be released. It's probably too far out for me to request a faceup change at this stage .

@GreenTeaSlug Wow! So much helpful information and photos! Thank you so much for sharing it all with us . I'm super happy to hear that SJ bodies will be on offer in the future. Keeping my fingers crossed for aesthetily pleasing double joints (like iplehouse fid) and small bust being given as an option.
