I think a male doll with black hair, in a black and red costume with a silver tower-shaped accent as a brooch on a hooded cape, would work well depicting the Tower of the Tarot. Perhaps with a lightning bolt accessory (ala Zeus).

@Wittyilynamed thank you she is gorgeous. I love mnt body, so nice and delicate. Posing very well. Legs shape us more like models from TV :-) I need to buy more wigs for my girls, I think.
I'm really surprised how fast she was made.. only 5 months.... big surprise.

 

I was expecting to wait a long time but SartoriaJ just told me that Matias and other standard dolls will release this Friday

I’m so excited too. I was expecting to wait for months since last I asked they just said “we will release him again but don’t know when” and then now they wrote “it will on Friday”. I am so excited
I think both versions of the head will be released and I don’t know which I prefer

Yes, they finally released SD standard dolls! Including a few sculpts I wasn't expecting...But no Silvia.

I wanted to tag you, but the forum wasn't cooperating... *grumbles*

Anyway, I saw that they moved her to the "limited" section. I don't know if that means they'll never release her again...at this point I'm hoping maybe for an elf version this summer?

 

I wish they had an option to buy heads only, I'm dreaming of having Mattias but I can't afford the full doll

 

I agree - it would be nice if the company still offered separate heads. Wish they would do this once in awhile as a special sale.

I love the new concept of Vittoria. That dress! So totally vintage style ... I asked Jay if it´s for the Mintorette body only since I would love it for my 61 girls.

 

Sartoriaj just posted that they are re-releasing all their elf sculpts from 5/4 - 5/21. This is VERY exciting to me as there are some sculpts I want that were discontinued by the time I started collecting in earnest. But I think manufacturing is going to be challenging for them, my understanding of why they discontinued so many sculpts is that they want to manufacture fewer, larger batches of dolls. So I suspect that the re-released elves may have a longer wait time than other dolls. I am likely going to order at least one though...

Their new standard dolls that are always available leads to smaller batches. Perhaps they are trying to please their collectors and find another way to handle the production.

 

That would be wonderful, I hope so! I am of course just speculating from things Sartoriaj has said and my own observations of what comes quickly (I've had dolls arrive in 3 months) and what takes more than 6 months. I have in general been very happy with Sartoriaj.

 

Anyone here have the 64 Mintonette body?

I really like it alot. Much better than their 2 previous bodies. It's more slender, less booty for sure and has a longer torso. I find it visually more appealing to me.

Any reason why you are asking?

I will say that one does want to tend to lean forward so you got to be sure to have them positioned right if you want them to stand, but I see that more with the smaller version. Or at least the MTN sole body seems to want to do that more.

 

I'm just deciding if I want to order that body with "Sarah" on it. I'm going for an "Asian" look for her, and I was thinking she might look better on the "tall&thin" body.

@susieagent99 I really like the new body. it looks nice and delicate. i love posing and long slimmer legs, its more like supermodels body :-) it is a nice shape. Easy to dress up. Knees are a bit kicky when you stand doll with high heels but its not horrible, with hot glue sueding it's fine.

 

For an Asian look, I could totally see it with the MTN body. Tall and Slender. Yep. But I'm biased cause I don't particularly like the Aph body.

Tho I got to admit on having a Iple Miho on an Athletic body.

 

Hey gang, asked this in the Iplehouse thread but thought I'd ask here as well, does anyone happen to have any Zeus 73 and/or Ath 71 clothes and know how they fit on a EID model body? Measurements look good but the hips are worrying me, Sartoriajs boys hips seem much slimmer than EID.

Just arrived from South Korea - Raphael! I am very much impressed by this face up, as usual it´s excellent (well, I had no complicated requests this time). I am a bit intimidated by his size, he is bigger than my EID model boys. He is my first SartoriaJ big boy. And I need a name for him!

@Ashemanu He's gorg! Which body did you get, 73 or 71? I'm very curious how they look next to EID males (since I'm eyeing multiple clothes from Sartoriaj that I hope will fit my EID boy)

 

@nancy_schroeder_ca Thank you! I got him without wings too - I am so totally out of space for bigger dolls anyway, wings would have totally killed it!
@Wittyilynamed Thanks! He is on the 71 ATH body. Shirts and jackets should fit, not sure about pants. They will probably be too long.

SJ has really been cranking out the wonderful sculpts lately! Makes it hard to resist. But life is short...might as well enjoy what you can while you can.

@luluna True ^^ But Friday I had a PC technician in my living room and I really feared he would run away screaming cause of all the dolls ... he probably thought of me as crazy old doll lady or some other lunatic My friends say my living room looks like a doll museum, and my mother says they are so many they all look the same ...
