For the size matter- it falls into XL, L, M,and S.
XL - Hound, Sadol Star 70, Super Senior delf, Dollmore Model doll, Crobi-M
L - Volks SD17 boys, Crobi-R
M - Volks SD13 boys, Senior delf, SD16 girl, Sadol Honey 63
S - Volks SD9 boys and girls, SD13 girls, SADOL Love60


Bogu sets are made out of resin and it only has one size (no exception here to make bigger or smaller size orz ) - all the SD sizes that are listed above or similar sizes can wear the sets.
- SD boys ( 58cm~70cm ), which also fits to SD girls ( SD13, SD16, DD, Love60, Honey63 )

After 1st order, Sadol is thinking about taking 2nd orders sometime in future, but not until this winter/next spring, so gogogogogo XD

 

Omigosh I have a question! About the nameplate, I sent in two kanji characters reading left to right. Will they do the name as, left character as the first character and right as the second? Or will they read it right to left and my kanji will be backwards? Or should I ask them directly? LOL

I guess I need to check out the measurements for the dolls they list and try to compare that way. The Budo chest piece looks pretty small on the Star 70 guy and pretty big on the girl, so maybe it will work for dolls that are somewhere in the middle? If he sucks in his gut? (I wish!)

 

For the letters, it can be Korean, Chinese, and English, up to 2 letters.
Koreans read words from left to right : )
But you can always remind them this goes left that goes right etc.



Bogu sets were meant to made for boys (big SD ones) so it might have it's too big feels, but think about girl's chest to be...
contained..?protected..? lol

This is probably much too late but I found an old photo with the SD17 on the left and the Star70 on the right. I know it's a clothed shot so it's hard to tell but you can generally see the size differences. The two girls in the middle are both Love 60s; Haerang on the left and Yena on the right.

Hello guys! I ordered a yena head two weeks ago and I can't wait for her to arrive. In the mean time I would like to get her eyes from either eyeco or nyx. Any recommendations as to what size I should get?

I'd recommend you 14mm or 16mm for Yena. I usually put 14mm on my Yena.

Hi all! I just wanted to say thank you for all the informative posts!!! And all the pictures too...I was worried that she would have bad posing like the Iplehouse ladies, and considering I already have one doll who doesn't like to sit properly I wanted a doll with littler modification work.

I really want to buy Sadol Haerang for my first girl (there's two lovely poofy dresses on the website I am ADORING for her). I first saw her at Anime North in 2013 when she was in the raffle (didn't win her, drats! :P).

Quick question though...I read through the thread but I don't remember the date of how long ago the question was...

-Does Sadol take layaway at all? I can't seem to recall if someone said they did or not (I hope they do, since it would be easier to separate the savings into at least 2-3 payments. If I can start now and do another payment in Sept, MAYBE she'll arrive for my birthday in October)
-Since i'm a newbie at shoes (as my SD boy has an odd shoe size and I haven't bought anything but sneakers for him), do most SD heeled shoes fit the Love60s? I do want some Sadol heels but I was hoping later down the road to get some from somewhere else....do most companies list their shoes as SD13/SD16?
-Is that the only face-up option for the girls, the updated one? (I prefer the old face-ups, thus why I was asking).
-And last but not least: Where does one acquire such a lovely ginger wig like that??

I should go e-mail the company directly, but I didn't want to bother them if someone knew some of the answers here already.



The reason I ask about the face-up: I've never gotten a company face-up before, so I figure I want to get it done at LEAST once (since most of the other dolls i want are heavily character oriented- so too specific for a company to do. I don't have any character plans for her right off the bat). But I want her to look like she's smiling; I get that feeling from the first photos, but the new face-up looks less....smiley to me at least. Out of most of the girl sculpts I've searched through I felt hers was, though subtle, much happier than the more dreamy/stoic look from other companies.

-Yes Sadol takes layaway plan.
-I'll say SD16 hills for Sadol girls, I know they says SD13 heel can be wearable, but tbh, their feet shapes are for high-high heels. ( I know Volks SD13 heels works on them but mainly SD16)
-Sadol changed face up artist recently, so I don't think it's possible to get the face up from the old photos :<

Hello guys, I'm glad to see a lot Sadol fans here~!
I recently became a bjd owner, and my very first boy is Kyeoru. Absolutely beautiful lines and characters in his face~!
You can imagine how much I wanted him as my first boy, and now I'm totally in love with him so so very much.







He didn't get face up yet, and I'm planning to do it by myself.
I had a specific character in my mind before I decided to have him, and this gorgeous Korean King set from Sadol was just perfect for him.

And fyi, I was just impressed with such a kind reply from Sadol.
I talked to manager several times for ordering, and he was really nice and friendly.


I can't wait to share more stories with you guys! Thank you!

 

Congratulations on receiving your beautiful boy, SYwolf^^! I was wondering, could you maybe post a photo of his blank face before you do his faceup? I'm thinking about getting a Kyouru and I really would like to see how his face looks underneath the makeup. Thank you very much in advance^^!

 

ShuriTigerH, here is photo of Blank Kyeoru, and the body underneath is STAR 70 (both normal skin).
Personal opinion, I think he is already gorgeous even without face up, and I believe the unique yet beautiful lines in his face definitely makes him one of a kind head.

Here are photos of blank Kyeoru with different wigs.
Black fur hair, I bought it (first time with fur hair) just to try to play with it, and actually it worked pretty well with ears~.
Blond hair I bought it for another boy, just tried on him. I love the wig quite much.
Even in blank, he gives me the exact character I wanted, very satisfied.
Maybe I will post him in some sadol outfits too soon. Thanks!

 

Oh man! I just noticed all the wonderful old school uniforms and regular suits for the boys are all gone gone gone!
I loved the neoclassic and two b and all those!
So many good clothes now gone. *sniffle*

Yeah sadly.. Sadol had a goodbye event for sold out outfits at doll flea market in Korea this month.
For the stock still left for some sizes, they are selling only at Sadol Cafe(off-line shop) in Korea.
But I think you should try asking them if they have the outfit you want in stock, they might still have.
If you need help, please feel free to ask me. I might be a help Good luck dear!

+ They're ready for some new outfits, so don't be too disappointed. I believe they'll release some awesome outfits!

I got several 70 suits from Sadol, and they are really well made outfits. I'm very impressed.
Perfect on slim Star 70.




They're now releasing lots of new items for girls and USD babies,
but really can't wait for new BOY outfits.

 

Yes, I will be hoping for more great boy suits. ^__^ For some reason, I just got to thinking they would be available forever. lol
I'm so glad I got the ones I did! But I really wish I could have bought a ton more. The quality really IS very good!
I guess I had better start saving hard for the current school uniforms I want then. (and stop buying more dolls, so I can have money to dress them in the Sadol clothes I want! )

I'm pretty sure that you need to buy wrist joints separately, but once you have pair, it's good for all hand parts that Sadol is selling :3

Love all the pics...My Haerang came in a while ago and I gave her a faceup~ She's so sweet!
I'm hoping Sadol will release some punky-casual style clothing someday, I have some more colorful wigs I'd like her to wear but just doesn't look right with the school uniform she has...

I just ordered the Honey63 body for my new and only resin girl, Olivia Morgan of Volks. She is also my first hybrid, so it took a lot of effort to find the body I wanted. I've looked at various companies, I forgot SADOL, my favorite boutique. When I saw the measurements of the Honey63 body, I was stunned by the shoulder width of 14.5cm, it's the broadest I've seen for a 63cm female body. The SD13B body has a shoulder width of approximately 14.5cm and the SD16G 13.5cm. I temporarily have Olivia's head on SD13B body and the shoulder width is perfect. So, I was overjoyed to see the 14.5cm on Honey63 body. Judging by the measurements, it's a very well proportioned body that can support the larger heads. I also ordered the white amor top since SADOL is giving free panties and stockings. I appreciate the free shipping and gifts. That's a nice gesture.

Does anyone know the wait time for the body? They say 40-50 days which I think is a very long wait for a body.

I have a quick question I hope you guys can answer! I'm about to order a girl body from Sadol to use for a hybrid (finally!), but I can't decide which one. Can anyone tell me if the girls' heights are measured when they're on their flat feet or in heels?

Took me a while to find a suitable body. I'm eager to see the Honey 63 body. I've seen the Love 60 body in person during Anime North convention in Toronto. https://www.flickr.com/photos/infinity_zero/14279011665/in/photostream/. It's very well sculpted (curves, bust, height) and the resin quality is good. I was surprised that it looked smaller than the Volks SD13 bodies that I've seen. I only have boys, so I am not a good judge of girls' body but the Love 60 body does look slightly smaller than the SD13 girls I believe they wear the same size clothes. I ordered the Honey 63 for 2006 Volks Olivia Morgan's head. Although the measurement is comparable to SD16G, I am not surprised that it is slightly smaller. Turbow, made a good comparison. https://www.flickr.com/photos/turbow/13580253043/ I saw this photo only after ordering but it's alright because I wanted a body with broader shoulders and a larger bust. The height difference is not significant for me.

I think which body size to choose depends on the head. If the head is big, you want a larger body, taller with wider shoulders. If the head is smaller, it might be sufficient to go on a smaller body. The head I have is large and a mature fashion doll, so I needed a larger body with bigger bust.

I randomly shot the photo below during Anime North. I am not sure if the naked doll is Love 60 and the one seated is Honey 63 or Star 70. I paid no attention to girl bodies at that time because I only collected boys. You can see that the bodies are beautiful. Note that the naked doll was not standing straight, she is definitely either Love60 or Honey63, not MSD size.

XD That makes all the difference, thank you! I think I need to go with the bigger body -- not so much because of her head size (I'm pretty sure she could do either), but because of the way she'll fit in amongst the range of SD sizes I have. Hello everyone. I'm brand new to Sadoll dolls so I'm wondering if you guys could help me. I really like their new priest outfit. I like the doll and everything. Which doll is it wearing the outfit? To me it looks like Kyeoru. I saw a previous post saying that Kyeoru and Kyouru are the same sculpt, but to me Kyeoru looks like he has smaller eyes. I hope you guys can help me because I really love that boy.

sooner, the faster XD You just need to notify them your layaway plan,
ex) like first deposit of $200 - since 20% and $100 per month out of total amount of $500, so 4 month layaway etcetc along with your order number

 

A nun and priest! They are both so lovely. The more I look at their girls the more I find myself wanting one as well. The girl bodies are so soft and pretty. Sadol did respond to me about layaway they just didn't say anything about the length of layaway. I know why now though since they let you make your own layaway plan which I find amazing! Not many companies let their customers do that. I will most definitely be getting a Kyeoru now. Thank you so much Gockt!!

 

Wow, I received an email saying that the body I ordered on Oct 27 is shipping. That is really fast. I was worried about the 40-50 days wait time stated on the product page. That's a really long wait for a body and we know how Chrismas season is not exactly ideal time to ship things. But if the body is shipping already, that's really fast. Thanks Sadol. I shall wait for it to arrive.

Gockt Thanks for the clarification. I went to Doll North with my doll wearing the white king's set. I was tempted to get the red king's jacket because the white and red go well together. The staff teased and coaxed me into getting the red set, we had a really good laugh. In the end, I bought the black suit and did not buy the red jacket (Save money). When I returned to the US, I regretted, I should have bought the red jacket. I went online and bought it!!! Stupid!

The Honey63 body arrived!

I did not plan to do a box opening thread because Olivia Morgan is a hybrid but I am having second thoughts. The resin match is not 100%, it's tolerable though. The Sadol body is beautiful and not many people know about it. Moreover, Olivia Morgan is an old sculpt and people have forgotten how she look. So, I'm planning a box opening thread this weekend.

 

The priest outfit is back up!! I got my Kyeoru with the priest outfit and Royal boots and also
got those amazing Juwel high heel boots for a Spiritdoll girl I'm waiting on. I'm so excited!!!

Hey guys! I don't really know anything about Sadol dolls but I'm considering the Honey 60 girl body for a hybrid...can anyone tell me a bit about the quality of their dolls? Is the resin nice? Is it lightweight/easily chipped or does it have a hefty feel to it? Do they pose well?

And yes, the resin is amazing. Thick and sturdy and a lovely feel to it. It's some of my favorite feeling resin I own (and I have close to 40 dolls)
