Large dolls are all sold out and confirmation emails should be going out hopefully within a few days. There's still 51cm sets available! (I'm not sure what the status of heads is, I'm assuming large heads are gone too? I'm so happy for Helene!!)

I’m glad her preorder went over so well, though I had no doubts she’d easily meet her order limits. Hope I’ll be seeing a confirmation email in my inbox soon!

I ended up ordering a fullset 51cm Aquilo + a Geneo head (his darn cheekbones and jawline won me over bahaha), both in peach skin. They’ll likely share a body for a while, but we’ll how that plays out when I actually have them home (assuming I scored them). My dolls don’t usually share bodies long before I cave and get a new body.

 

I'm just so excited right now. Even though I sent the message right on time, Im still nervous I was too early. Im going to be jittery until I know for sure whether I got geneo or not

I’m so glad the order went so well for Helene, and it sounds like almost everyone got in! It’s definitely going to be a long wait, but I’m gonna try to pick up some clothes ton fit before they get here.

 

Woooo! My boys are home. Geneo and Aquilo look absolutely amazing in person, can’t wait to eventually get them worked on.

I also tried on a handful of things I have for dolls this size (my boys are the ~50cm versions). Iplehouse FID man tops seem to fit the body well, wasn’t too surprised with that. FID man pants are another story though; the pant legs are a good width and length for these boys, but the waistband is too loose. You’d have to use a safety pin to fit them properly. xD Even then, there isn’t significant room for his junk. The Souldoll Vito man shorts I have fit him wonderfully though! As for his feet, they are huge. xD; He has a comparable feet length as Iplehouse nYIDs bahaha. So yeah, you’ll need SD (1/3) sized shoes and boots for him, which will make things difficult if y’all are anything like me and are finicky about scale.

@wendymoira Thank you! He stands fine (even with how loose I got him strung at the moment), his resin is just so slippy-slidey that I’d prefer to hot-glue suede or something to just make him more stable, ya know?

Oof, I probably never posted my guy on DoA forums after all...? A quick snap of Ted. I still cannot correct the hideous preset colour settings hubby's Iphone camera has, so enjoy the Green Guy.



Sadly no new arrivals here - I love the face sculpts of Lamento and Erato and was going to get both, but translucent resin is not my cup of tea and the caster couldn't provide solid resin, so I'm just lurking around for all of your new guys.

 

My 65cm Tresno landed yesterday! He's a fantastic poser and just gorgeous to handle - the attention to detail in every aspect of his sculpting and engineering is incredible. I really love the color of the Cinnamon resin as well; it's just a touch lighter than Volks Sunlight / Tan.

He fits in the generic 70cm clothing I have on hand, although the pants need to be hemmed. His feet are pretty wide, but thankfully EID shoes work for him! And I think 8" wigs and 12mm or 14mm eyes with 4~5mm irises are the right fit.



It's been amazing to watch the entire journey the Rugged Realism boys took from start to finish, and to finally have this guy in hand after wanting one for so long. Now I can't wait to get him painted (and shop for wigs and clothes that suit him a little better )!

My guy arrived yesterday!
I got him all put together and realized...I don't have any wigs for him.

So he's chillin. Still gorgeous. Haha.

And I was so pleased to discover he fits SD17 clothes. That opens a lot of posibilities.
He actually fit in one of my Volks suits that's very slim-fit, so not even the odd bigger things. Just the pants are long, as said above.

 

Thanks very much! I'm in the USA, and I was shocked at how quickly the parcel arrived... my local friends, who ordered at the same time as me, received their dolls a day or two later. I hope your doll gets to you soon!

I received my order a couple days ago, too! I can't wait for the faceup artist I want to commission to paint them to reopen for commissions again! Until then, I have a friend I've commissioned to help make them some clothes~

 

They attempted to deliver my head while I was at work. I'll have to wait till Friday for a redeliver, le sigh. He's in Cinnamon. At least he's arriving before the move...

 

Wow everyone is getting them so fast! I was a little slow paying my shipping, I thought it went through but i guess the page timed out. So I received a shipping notice that my order was shipped on Saturday. Tresno & Lamento in peach with one body ( they will fight for it.) The remaining head will go on a Shoushou doll body. (hoping it works and is a decent color match). I'm so excited for these body! It's been amazing watching the whole journey. Seeing the work Helene put into them, modifying them to her liking, the tragic disaster with the molds, surprisingly given a chance to order, and continued prayers for Helene's healing! They will surely be treasured art pieces for everyone. I'm so excited to see everyone's customizations as they come to life!

 

My boys arrived earlier in the week. I put Lamento (peach) on my LoongSoul 68 (imported yellow) and it matches ok—RR is slightly pinker.

The cinnamon color looks to be very close (a little lighter) than Iplehouse SRS.

Thought I would share in case some people only got heads for some possible bodies to explore.

 

Augh, my Erato got put out for delivery this morning but it didn't tell me until I was already at work. oTL

 

I now have a small cinnamon Aquilo (Garam) and a peach Geneo hybrid on a 73cm Loongsoul body (Jin Hyuk). I did Ji Hyuk's faceup today. What great dolls! Thanks to @VeraLyne for offering to get Geneo's head in her order!!!!

@VeraLyne , are these SID hands please ? Are they the right size ? I think I'd like to have an extra pair of hands with fingers a bit more "closed".

 

@wendymoira They are SID hands, and they are smaller than the RR hands, but I think they may be passable. The ball part fits pretty well. Here are some comparison photos I took of the two bodies and some swapping.

In some lighting, the two resins are very close, but in others the undertones are stronger. Again, caveat that my Iplehouse was from 2020, so the color has mellowed a bit from when I first got him.

 

I had a chance to string up the body last night, and it was so neat to see him pose so naturally when I just set him down to grab one of the heads. he also stood with one flat foot and one ballet foot on (i wouldn't leave him like that for long for safety), but still impressive given he's right out of the box. the resin is such a nice texture. i'm so glad to have them home and to be able to enjoy Helene's artwork in person. might take me a while to style them before i have any glamour shots LOL

Delivery service was supposed to bring my boy yesterday but they forgot him... I was so sad and furious! I have to wait until Tuesday now... I'll call them on Monday to remind them not to forget him !

 

Finally painted my Erato today, since it was an unseasonably warm day. He's gorgeous, but still doesn't have a name.

 

Anyone have a source for shoes for the small boys?

 

Wish I knew of a good place for shoes for either size, but sadly, no idea.

I do have a Dollshe Arsene and a few RoP boys (Geneo, Tresno, Lamento). None of them (Including Arsene) have faceups, though; is that ok? Which RR boy you'd like to see with Arsene and are there any angles/shots you'd like to see in particular?

Hi, oh, I really don't mind which one (neither the lack of faceups) it's because of their size difference, I'm wondering if proportions together are ok, could they be friends ?

Arsene's head is a bit bigger. I think if you're clever about the doll placement, you could get away with it in photos. Arsene is meant for a ~70cm body, so he wlll be quite a bit taller than the RR boys.

Just dropping by to share a picture of Vergil (my Geneo) all painted and looking terribly handsome. Currently waiting on his wig to come in the mail, so he’s bald for the time being.



Also, I’m happy to report that a pair of boots I got from SartoriaJ fit his big ol’ feet just wonderfully. Got me a pair of these Black Leather Boots when they restocked them a while ago.

Still no plans for my Aquilo head lmao. I’ve been lowkey tempted to make him into Knives from the Trigun series, but I don’t know if I need another Bad Twin in the crew.

I actually have another order with SJ for another pair of boots + some clothes I got for Vergil along with a pair of feet for the SJ mini boys that I’d gotten for him just in case his feet were too big for some of the shoes they make. It was a pretty happy surprise to find out these tall boots I got him fit him fine just as.

I finally got the SartoriaJ order I placed months ago that included another pair of boots from them + a pair of feet that are made for their mini boys to use on my Rites of Passage dude for shoes that might be too small for his feet. Really glad I snagged those extra feet since the boots that came in the order didn’t fit on the ROP feet (talking the 50cm version of the boys). Soooo…if you want to open up closed-shoe/boot options, I definitely recommend buying a pair of SJ or similar feet. You will need to get your own s-hooks for them though, just FYI!

Anyway, here’s Vergil in his new fit. I plan to eventually commission his in-game clothes to be made, but figured I’d get him some normal clothes to look snazzy in until then.



Poor man is still bald because his wig is taking it’s sweet time in transit (been stuck for 2 months+ now….. OTL).

 

Vergil’s wig seemingly got lost in the mail, so he’ll be bald until the package is found or the wig maker sends over a replacement to me. I promise you’ll have hair one day, Vergil.

Also been reading the Trigun manga and yeah, my Aquilo is definitely going to become Millions Knives. May as well complete the Trinity of The Unhinged Twin dolls in my crew bahaha (got Vergil from Devil May Cry, and then Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho).

I have started to look into hybrid options. Anybody here plop their 50cm boys on other bodies yet? I’d very much appreciate seeing some photos!
