    2. Yes, they are all sold out iirc.

    3. She actually released the alphabet serie a while ago, but she had a couple of dolls left for sale as some of the orders were cancelled. She's now working on a 50 cm line, seems promising.

    4. Yes, I missed out on the preorder though. I love seeing the whole process of doll creation on her instagram. It's very enlightening. It's incredible all the things she had to go through to get these made. Amazing sculpts too. :love

    5. I have a Gamma on order and I couldn’t be more thrilled! The entire work in progress as well as her work getting a casting company and payment has been very interesting to watch! It also helps that her boys are absolutely gorgeous!!! If I had the money I would have loved an epsilon too, and I can’t wait until I get to see what people do with theirs!

    6. I ordered a Gamma and added an Epsilon head both in Solway (similar to copper oriental by Dollshe) :love

I love Helene. She is such a nice and refreshing person. Shes always so transparent and humble, always taking the time to respond to everyone on IG. The transparency is always refreshing to see, and I was so sad to see the trouble Paypal was giving her, because she was honest about the preorder timing estimates, which isnt even as long as the other companies. They gave her the same trouble they gave Mr.Venitu but Im so relieved and glad she didnt give up on her dolls, or her customers

The casting company she chose fixed breakage on her master mold, and the produced doll still retained so many of the details in the sculpt. Im so happy to see that, and Im so eager to hold one of her dolls in person, she let us join her journey from the start so in a way, it feels like a baby XD Honestly, for the quality, the level of detailing I expected the dolls to cost at least 2 x the amount shes charging

What is everyone's plans for their dolls? What skin colors did you choose?

Ive always wanted an African features on a doll, but its so rare to see that kind of features on a BJD, and when it is, its either older looking or with a moody expression, which is nice, but not for me at all XD I love how sweet and kind Gamma's expression is. If you are familiar with a really old TV show called "My so called Life" (my entry to english speaking tv shows!) there is a character on it I always thought looked interesting in style and features, Rickie. Im going to style my Gamma on him :)

Epsilon Im not sure of yet, but I couldnt pass on the beauty of that sculpt, he is very conventionally beautiful. His lower lip is my favorite of his features.

Not to mention, the body is beautiful and has great engineering! Its just so hard to pass up, I started saving up as soon as I knew it was going to be a big scale doll, and as soon as I saw Gamma's face lol! He was so unique it would be smart to start saving up so when the time comes, no need to sell dolls and get in a panic XD The amount of details in the hands, the feet, the muscle underskin defintion and attention to anatomy is amazing to me, a work of art!

@Chikku did you join the preorder too? Thank you for starting this thread, I am excited to read about other peoples plans........!!!! :D

    7. Wow so many Gamma orders! I’m super excited to see everyone’s! I preordered an Epsilon in Solway too.

I loved watching her create them— and I’m a sucker for an open mouth, so I had to pick him up. :XD:

The body is so beautiful— Venitu has my favorite boy body but I can’t help but wonder if this one will take over as the fav once he arrives. There’s just so much detail!

    8. I'm also excited to see everyone's customizations! I ordered an Epsilon in Truly Divine with an extra Epsilon head. My hope is I can one day get another body for the extra head so I can have twins. I am very picky when it comes to boy dolls but when I saw Epsilon I fell in love! If I could I would have ordered a Gamma as well.

    9. My Epsilon shipped! I'm so excited to see these boys in person. I hope there are some Omega and Alphas too.

Her new line looks wonderful too-- the Rites of Passage series. It looks so youthful compared to her Alphabet series.

    10. My Gamma shipped! I wish I had more money at the time I would have scooped up epsilon (or at least his head lol) but it was all I could do to manage Gamma! That said I’m super excited and hope people share all kinds of photos!!! Now back to stalking the tracking like a crazy person! Lol

    12. Me too!!! I hope others post!!! The weather here is terrible so I have to wait to give him a face up :( I’ll work on his wig this weekend though..that’s going to be a challenge! He is also just a bit thicker than my other boys so he needs me to see him pants!

    13. Hello guys!
Does anyone know if Epsilon head fits Dollshe mystic body?
I’ll be very grateful for photos!

    14. Just realized I never posted my boy here. This is my RR Epsilon!

I absolutely adore this boy. This sculpt is amazing! Hope we can see more of these boys around.

Also, the Rites of Passage boys seem like they're getting really close! She just posted a bunch of updated pictures on her instagram.

    15. I think the Rites of Passage dolls may get delayed a bit since she just had a bad skin reaction to the resin that her masters were printed in. I hope she's ok!! :...(

    16. I'm so happy I found this thread, these dolls are gorgeous! I'm really liking the look of Erato in her Rights of Passage series.

      • x 1
    17. Same, I just discovered this artist and the fact that she may make a 65 cm hunk of a muscular man...I better start saving. XD

    18. I must own... a Gamma. DAMN IT. I said no more dolls. I SAID IT.

    19. Anyone thinking about buying one of the new rugged realism dolls?

      I think I fell for Erato :3nodding:

      • x 2
    20. The only reason why I would pass this round is because I'm looking for 70cm+ type like her ABC series. I only found her after the sale and everyone was getting their boys :abambi: Either way, it is fun to see the artist refining her sculpts and posing her handsome beauties!

    21. Oh dear! I just recently found out about this artist and her beautiful sculpts. I wish I would have found her earlier because that boy Omega is just to die for:whee: Wonder if she would re-open the ABC sculpts order again:)

    22. @buacs she likely won't, as the master was destroyed partially after casting. So she would have to print, sand and prime it again. And I don't think the customers of the original release would all be happy about a rerelase, either, after all we were sold a very limited release that was never supposed to be sold again. I don't care for the value of the doll or such factors, but I enjoy owning dolls a lot of other people do not have, because it helps me bond.

Helene kindly asked me and presumably other customers too if in our opinion it was okay to make one of the new series' boys Tresno so close lookalike of Epsilon from the previous release. They're not all the same and are a different size so it's fine by me, but I still like to see completely new sculpts more (because I rarely buy two similar sculpts). I'm eagerly waiting for the release of Erato and Lamento, think I need to get both.

    23. I´m happy that Tresno was able to be made - Epsilon was beautiful, but I could still pass on...however Tresno with his delicate jaw, lower-lip dip and proportionately bit larger eyes are just checking all the boxes for me :love

    24. Sadly but quite understandable, guess I have to bet my luck on the new baby she is currently working on:cheer

      • x 1
    25. I’m 100% in for geneo, I’ve been obsessed with the sculpt since I first saw Helene working on designing the face back in October.
It’s also so crazy that she has the masters finally done for the rites of passage series!!!! I’m so excited!

      • x 1
    26. despite wanting all of them... i have to narrow it down maybe...
Lamento is my favourite, but will be hard to decide if i have to pick between the others for an additional head....

    27. They truly are all so beautiful, and I'm incredibly impressed at Helene's hard work over the past few years to make this series happen. It makes me want to buy one just to support her.

The only problem is I don't have any pretty young men characters in my current stories. Hmm...plus it would be a hard choice between Lamento, Erato, and Tresno.

It's too bad the masters for the original series were damaged. It seems a shame for all her hard work on that sculpt to be realized only in one run of dolls (and after all, even if she did make more Alphabet men, they would always be "limited" and rare compared to bigger companies like Fairyland or Soom). But she seems to be looking forward to future projects, not back, so hopefully she's not disappointed about the first series.

    28. yeah, I know I'll kick myself if I miss this pre-order for the rites of passage line. Luckily for me, Geneo basically captured a character I had been struggling to even draw so he was immediately on my wtb list. Even if I didn't have a character to shell though I probably would have made one for the doll considering how much I love it. But, I also am happy to make characters for sculpts if I fall for them enough.
There's a part of me that also wants a Gemma head from the alphabet line but I understand that that's probably not going to happen considering how limited they all were.

      • x 1
    29. @kiraabsol - Geneo has a wonderful unique look so I definitely understand having your heart set on him! That's so nice that he was able to embody a character you were trying to envision. Do you know what size you prefer (51cm or 65cm) and what skin color you would like for him (pale, tan, dark)?

You're right that some dolls are worth just creating characters for, regardless of whether they fit in or not. We'll see! I'm definitely watching for updates on the preorder.

Also, Helene has mentioned wanting to sculpt some female dolls, which I am really looking forward to. I'm sure they will be stunning!

      • x 1
    30. Ahh I hope she sculpts some female dolls too. Considering how fast she started on her next project last time I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing hints of her next project in the next couple months so fingers crossed!! what kind of story are you working on?

I'm planning on getting the 65 cm version in pale skin! 50 cm dolls are great but I have a preference for 60 cm +. What about you? what are you thinking of?

      • x 1
    31. Oh my goodness, I cannot wait to see her female dolls! I’ve loved all her male dolls so far, and I’m very tempted by the upcoming collection, but as I primarily collect female dolls, I don’t think I’ll ever go for them. So yes, I’d love to own some of Helene’s art, and if she does end up making female dolls, that’s perfect for me! I’m especially excited because she’s one of those artists who I love a comparable amount to Natalia Loseva, and I’m hoping that if she releases a 1/4th scale girl I like that I may be able to finally fill that hyper-realistic mini void in my collection, especially because Helene’s pricing is more doable for me than Loseva’s is.

      • x 1
    32. I've been gunning for Tresno ever since I first saw his WIP over a year ago! I really want one of the 50cm dolls, but they seem like an even bigger hassle to clothe than the 65s, so I'll settle for a 65cm version.

      • x 2
    33. I'm getting Erato in tan. I've been wanting a ballerina boy, and he is a great fit. I kind of wish he was 70 cm, but oh well, 65 will do.

    34. @kiraabsol - Right now I'm torn between Lamento, Erato, and Tresno (though leaning to the latter two) and probably a pale skin. But if she starts talking about girls, I might wait and save up! I would definitely go for the 50cm version. 60+ has amazing presence, but I've learned from experience (after handling Dollshe's 26F 65cm body) that it is too big and heavy for me.

I'm working on several stories right now (thank you for asking!) but I think an Erato/Tresno would probably fit in my 1800s story involving "resurrection men." I can see him as an innocent young medical student who has to struggle with the reality of death and whether to turn a blind eye to men like Burke and Hare or to put the future of medicine ahead of personal morality. I would enjoy sewing Victorian clothes for him :)

@mohnblumendolls - Natalia Lovesa's dolls are the top tier for me - absolutely beautiful (Yuy is probably my favorite!) but they are very expensive indeed (for me the kind of "too expensive to enjoy even if I owned one" type). But I hope to see more dolls of the same realism in the future, especially from artists like Helene.

      • x 1
    35. I agree with your 'too expensive to enjoy' assessment of Loseva dolls, which is why I'm so looking forwards to the potential female Rugged Realism dolls! Helene's SD dolls cost about the same as Loseva's tinies, which gives me hope I could her afford mini-sized dolls if Helene ever releases dolls that small! I adore Epsilon from the Alphabet series, and Erato and Tresno from the Rites of Passage series, they have very delicate and innocent expressions. Between the (rugged) realism of her dolls and the expressions she favors, I can anticipate that I'll absolutely drool over a girl should she sculpt one.

    36. It'll definitely be interesting to see what she makes next! Granted, I'm still so incredibly hyped for the upcoming pre-order. I swear that I'm checking her insta like 4 times a day for updates. I know that the pre-order is several months out still but I'm always hopeful for any new information.
@StellaMarigold kind of like Herbert West - Reanimator (the classic story, not the modern movies)? Either way, I completely agree that 1800s style clothes really match the style for the dolls. Even in my sketches I noticed that I kept going for almost a regency era silhouette for clothes

    37. I hope I won’t miss out on the new releases, really love Erato and Tresno.
Does anyone have any review on the body of their Alphabet Series?
I see there’s some changes she’s made on the rites of passage, seems to be better. I wish I could see all the details closer tho, since Instagram screen is a little bit small. I’ve notice their toes are not separate like her previous release, love those en pointe feet so much, loving the onion ring extra joints on the shoulder but they seems a little thin from what I can watch on her igtv

    38. Hey Hey! I am good friends with Helene so I can clear up some common questions people may have. So the dolls from the Alphabet series will not be coming back. I know its sad (I wanted a gamma) but she definitely wants to keep moving forward in her projects.

She is currently preparing the website for new photos where everyone will be able to see the new models and bodies much better than instagram. But that wont be until preorder release information that's scheduled sometime in July if everything goes well. July is just for all the Preorder info and not the actual preorder. She has released some recent videos of some photos and videos showing off more of the body as well.

Right now we are waiting on resin color swatches from the caster. I am soooo excited to see everything! I am personally wanting to purchase a 65cm Erato!

As for her next projects... there's a loooot. So I don't exactly know what direction she is going to want to go with first! She definitely has been talking about making twins (boy/girl). You can see a few basic sketches of them on her instagram as well.

      I hope this is helpful!

    39. @AkioMoichi Thanks for that information! I was despairing finding any pictures of all the molds on Instagram and was hoping for a website where everything is easier to navigate :)

Do you know how that preorder will work? I am praying not like a race where everything is sold out in two minutes.

      • x 1
    40. Preorder will take place on her personal Rugged Realism website just like last time. There will be a limit for dolls. Helene is only one person and not only does she have 5 different heads this time, she also has them in 2 different sizes. So they will indeed be limited to a certain amount.

      • x 1
    41. Ah, thank you for all this information!
I hope I can get my order in :eusa_pray

    42. Does anyone know what the limit for doll orders were for her ABC series preorder?

I knew that she had limited the ABC series preorder and was wondering if I could get a general idea of how many slots may be available for the next preorder.

    43. she had a limit of 25 fullsets available, fullsets in this case being a doll body + head but you could order 4 heads for every body I think. Heads were not sold separately at all though. I have no clue how many will be available this time around, I just know I'm going to be watching for the minute they go up

    44. Thanks for the info, @AkioMoichi :) Really excited for the preorder to eventually open up, whenever that may be.

I’ve been eyeing Aquilo myself, the 65cm version specifically ahaha..I’m not sure I’m prepared for how much he’s going to hurt my wallet. Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to snag one for this first preorder. :eusa_pray I’m planning on this being one of my last big doll purchases for the foreseeable future (I know, famous last words lmao, but I already got nearly 30 dolls!).

@Fuailei I found this post on the Wordpress site! Looks like it was 25 full doll sets. (and ahaha looks like kiraabsol beat me to the punch as I was writing ). Definitely makes me a little nervous about how limited these dudes will be since I imagine Helene has garnered far more attention since the ABC boys released. I know I didn’t know about her work until after people were getting their dolls and she’d already began works on the Rites of Passage dolls.

    45. I unfortunately cant tell you how many slots yet but that's mainly because she keeps bouncing around with how many she wants to do. She is unsure at the moment. But! I can tell you that there will be heads sold separately. There will be full sets and then Single heads for sale. You can't just buy bodies though. I believe she will announce when the Preorder will launch in the info shes going to drop sometime in July.

      • x 3
    46. Well that sucks. I was really hoping to order one of these but if it'll only be a low number like 25, especially if its across both sizes, I'm guessing she really will only sell them to her friends like she mentioned she might. She also mentioned she would do multiple preorders for the current series but I guess I should assume that won't be true either.

    47. @kiraabsol Thanks for the information as well!

@Singull Thanks a ton for finding the Wordpress link! It put into perspective the cost and slot limitation of the preorder.

This forum has really provided some good information. It definitely makes me nervous as well if there is limited spots, but its also great that so many people are interested in her dolls.

@AkioMoichi Thank you for informing us that there might be heads available to be bought separately.

      • x 1
    48. I'm also pretty worried I won't be able to get one with how low the preorder numbers were last time. It seems like there's a lot of interest here alone! Great for Helene, bad for us with slow internet connections lol.

      • x 1
    49. Yeah I’m hoping she has at least double the amount she released last time but who knows

      • x 1
    50. @xyuemoto From what I understand, one of the reasons the ABC guys never got another preorder was because the masters got destroyed in the casting process? I could be mistaken on that though (and I’m currently feeling too lazy to peruse her IG posts lmao). :sweat Sounds like she’s looking into a different caster to me, so that might not be an issue and there could potentially be more than one order period? We’ll just have to wait until July to see what’s what! Crossing my fingers that we have more than one preorder to freak out about.

So any of y’all have any serious plans for the boys you’re hoping to get a hold of? Or waiting until you’ve actually secured an order to start imagining the possibilities? :XD: I have nothing concrete myself other than I lowkey want him to have messy hair and he’ll likely be like my Souldoll/Narae hybrid and almost always be wearing his pointe feet.

      • x 1
    51. @Singull
I have no plans yet! It's gonna be one of those things where he arrives and I just wing it. Lolol For me it's hard to imagine how you will style a doll when you've been looking at them balled and naked for the passed few years. :XD::XD: It's like it becomes part of their identity.

I wanted to make a poll to see which of the 5 heads everyone is most interested in. But im new to this website so I have no idea how to go about it or if it's allowed.

    52. I have had a plan since I first saw them, so I'm hoping desperately that I can make an order. It's a young version of one of my other dolls and I've never seen a doll that would suit better though I've looked...a lot, especially the body. I've fallen in love with 3 of the heads. So it would be soooooo amazing to make him! :chocoheart:chocoheart:chocoheart

Oof, I'm getting really nervous now.

    53. Well, I must say it makes me very happy to see so many people interested in these dolls! I don't really collect male dolls (I have some I want to make myself but that's because they are specific characters who don't really fit available sculpts), but I was considering ordering one of these guys because they look so nicely engineered and because I want to support Helene's hard work. However, since there is so much interest, I'll probably end up waiting for a female sculpt! I'm excited to see what she works on next!

Edited to add @AkioMoichi - a poll would be very interesting! Although they're all so nice, it's very hard to choose. I think I lean to Lamento/Tresno (Tresno's only "flaw" in my eyes is that he has an open mouth, which I usually don't prefer, but the shape of his eyes and nose are just lovely so that makes up for it). Geneo, however, has one of the prettiest mouth sculpts I have ever seen, so he's hard to resist as well.

    54. Does anyone know how to start a poll??

    55. I believe polls can only be added when creating a thread, but I could be wrong as I've never actually tried to make one... :sweat

For myself, I am interested in Erato, Lamento, and Tresno.

    56. I am curious to see what the common favorite sculpt is in the new Rites Of Passage series!
I am a big fan of Erato and Aquilo myself.
