I have the same concern : I had funds for first preorder but used it for something else... I kind of hope they won't be available soon so I can save again !

 

Looks like this order will be heads only. Not sure if there will ever be bodies, or if I should look for that elsewhere.

 

I missed that it might be head only. I will have to go back and watch. Was there a reason given that it might be head only?

 

I was under the impression that there was not preorder information yet, as Helene had not even determined a price with the casting service

 

All of the artist's comments/replies in her IG threads are "also planning releasing just heads". So I read that as in addition to full dolls, she plans on offering just heads as well.

 

Oh, that's makes sense. Rereading, I see that is more likely the case. I'm going to need a layaway then, lol. I want both!

 

Ooh, hopefully I can snag one this time! It's torture being local to Helene but not being able to have caught the last preorder. I want to show my support but ah...bad timing and the wallet said no. Fingers crossed this time I can at the very least swing a head.

I’m so excited for the new pre-order! Im still dead set on buying geneo. I’m also curious if there will be layaway because I remember for the last one Helene said they wouldn’t be offering it.
Either way, I’m just so so happy that the masters have been remade! And I’m just so excited for the next pre-order

 

I’m really stoked about the Rites boys being back in the running too. It was such a gut shot to see the project cancelled last year and having to give up on Aquilo joining my crew but aaahhhh second chance! Course now I’m back to not being sure if I want to get the small version or the big’un. I’m leaning towards the 65cm version, but we’ll see what the damage will be once Helene has put out info about the updated pricing.

Well with that announcement I'm going have to forget the iplehouse doll+head sale and use my doll funds towards RR instead. I really want Tresno and a Lamento head. The body looks amazing and I love the tan.

 

I'm so excited to finally have a date for the rites of passage!!! I feel like I've been watching this pre-order for almost 2 years

 

What body do you plan for the Lamento head? I'd love to get extra heads (they are so beautiful!) but hybrids scare me.

 

I havent thought about that yet. I usually get pretty lucky and when a random body pops up it fits the head i have.

Anyone know if she has ever shown the 50cm boys with other minis? Been wondering if they’re more comparable to Iplehouse’s FIDs with their smaller heads, or more like Souldoll’s Vito boys (which fit in well with mature minis). I know she’s definitely posted a video before that showed them with bigger dolls (like a Dollfie Dream and an old Elfdoll girl), but idk about the 1/4 size range. P: Definitely help me figure out what size Aquilo I should settle on.

So the order period opens at midnight on May 25th Melbourne time (UTC+10), correct? So that's 9am US Central Time on the 24th. Time zones are always such a pain to convert...

 

Really loving the Cinnamon colour...even though the character I have in mind is meant to be a pale skinned red head. ( so yeah, Peach would be better...well, Daisy with some blushing and freckling too)
Lamento so completely works for the character...but, Erato has that "Mona Lisa" hint of smile thing going on. Oh and Tresno is just down right adorable.
I was about to start a thread in the mini section, but realised that goes up to 49cm in height, so guess both sizes of lads are ok here.

 

I can't choose between Tresno and Lamento. But i think my love for Lamento keeps getting stronger. Cinnamon might look really cute freckles with red hair. Tan skin and red hair can be very lovely.

 

@Glitt3rGalaxy - hmmmm....know what you mean about Lamento. Keep coming back to him too.
Hmmm...you've got something there about the tan/freckles. In my head, my character is of Celtic/Scots decent, but he has fantastical elements which could exploit a more interesting look.
I did also go straight for the 65cm version, but the 50cm really appeals. Checking the smaller ones measurements he's close to an SD girl. I especially like the fact the minis have a decent size head.

then my brain says, but wait - - - Geneo and Aquilo... LOL
freckles are going to look great on them, i can really imagine it
i keep thinking about if i could time-share the body, which resin would work the best with my floating heads, but maybe just better to not worry about that.

 

All these boys are so nice, that it's definitely hard choosing between them! I think I'm going to try for Lamento, Tresno, and Geneo because I can't make a decision between the 3.

 

I'm Erato team since the beginning but I love Tresno and Geneo a lot too (I tried them both on FaceApp to see their smiles and they are to die for ). I was thinking maybe I'll get a Geneo head only but I'm scared of hybrids and I would have loved him in a darker color, so maybe I'll just keep my money to spoil Erato and get him a nice facup.
I'm not in the marketplace yet, did any of the Alphabet serie appear for sale at least once these past years? Wondering if we'll get a chance to get another sculpt later, when funds will be back...

 

@Constance the decision is the hardest thing for sure. i would love to get one in each resin shade, solve all my decision problems but cost

@wendymoira - i really love Erato too, that little smile is everything. i'm not sure about the Alphabets though, i missed all of that release completely.

 

all the sculpts are so cute!! I wish I could get more than one but my heart is forever set on Geneo.

 

@kiraabsol I 100% feel the same about getting more than one. Im really into Erato and Aquilo. But they are all just soooo pretty. Its hard to choose one!

 

I’m definitely set on getting Aquilo, but I am playing with the idea of maybe adding a Geneo head in the same color. Which then brings up the issue of what color to get…stuck between peach and cinnamon. Been set on wanting Aquilo in a pale color, but Geneo would look very nice in something darker. AND I’m still stuck on if I want the 65cm version or the 51cm one. OTL

I made a super janky photoshop to try and get an idea of what a 51cm boy would look like next to other minis I have, but it’s hard to tell if his head/face proportions would look odd or not next to, say, my Souldoll Gana girl. The 51cm boys seem like they’re just smack between Iplehouse’s FIDs and slim/mature mini head sizes. Times like these I wish I wasn’t such a stickler for my dolls to “fit” together, proportion-wise.

At least I have the month to agonize over it lmao

I just saw that the order form will only be available when preorder opens... That's scary I've never done such a thing, I hope I'll be fast. Do you know what kind of information one has to fill in these ? Any bank information or just what doll one wants?

I've found that men/boys don't stick around in my house (I just like styling girls better) so I won't be taking part in the preorder - which is a really good thing, because it would be impossible to choose just one of these guys! Back in the prototype stage I thought Tresno was so pretty (too pretty lol, I don't have any characters that youthfully attractive and couldn't figure out what I could do with him), but Erato's smile is so appealing and Geneo has such a unique face.

Anyway, I hope the preorder doesn't sell out too quickly so that you can all make it in!

 

Hehe, I am just trying to take deep breaths whenever I think about the potential madness of the preorder.

Ohh, I'm so in love with Lamento. I'm considering a Tresno head as well. The order form actually isn't as involved as I feared, and I'm thinking it'll be best to just have answers prepped in a Word doc and ready to go.

 

Thank you, I'm a bit less scared now that I've seen the form. I agree with @mustbemissa , I'll have some details ready in another doc.

 

After running the calculations, I'm going to be financially responsible and stick to a head. I'll just have to hope I can get a nice body at some point.

Edit: Or maybe I can afford it. I'm so indecisive!

Edit2: Okay, I've made my peace with it. With the things I have to pay for this year, I have to get just a head. Oh well. The body is so gorgeous, but I wanted a taller one anyway.

Hi! I want to order one fullset 65cm Erato but I don't know what mean about "Full Set Group #1 and Full Set Group #2" in the section Large (65cm) order. What I should to tick?
And I'm hesitating between skin tones Cinnamon, Mocha, Java as I'm going for an Indian or Hawaiian character. The local young boy in tan skin was relaxing at the patio next to a small pond. I will happy to hear your opinions!

I only used Group #1. I think Group #2 is only if you plan on ordering more than one full set of the same sculpt. Good luck on your color selection! There is the option to dye it darker (if you're brave or can commission someone) if the color is not dark enough.

 

I was afraid the form would change so I didn't fill it in advance ...took me 2 minutes. Helen says she will allow a few more big boys but there are almost no slots left, the orders went already past 40. However plenty of spots for the small ones still!
