I'm getting a bit antsy for my Bebe now, she still hasn't shipped. Any sign of your Mignon, Tami?

 

Kayjay, how long ago did you order. I haven't ordered from them for while. How long does it take now to get a doll? When I was at the height of my ordering it took about a month and a half to 2 months. They don't seem to be as busy now so it should be quicker. I remember when I had to get up in the middle of the night and sneak around the house to order. Now you can get up in the morning or even a couple of days later and order. If I really had to have something I would still get up in the middle of the night so I wasn't disappointed because I see the odd thing goes right away,

 

The wait time has increased. I ordered Bebe at the end of March and paid in two instalments finishing 17th April. So actually it's not been that long, it just feels it!

 

I'm getting antsy too but I really don't expect her yet I just want her!
I ordered on the last possible day. They said they were getting the orders finished in order, so I expect mine will be last made!

 

Rosenlied must have 'heard' me as my Bebe has shipped I also have a friend in Japan who is trying to find me a Miu as I really want twins in this size. Fingers crossed! She says Rosenlied is very popular in Japan, which I guess we know from how quick the limiteds sell. I wonder why they're so popular there and yet on DoA/Flickr with collectors from the US and Europe they don't seem so popular. They are so much more beautiful than other more popular brands (in my opinion ) like Fairyland or Iplehouse.

 

My Mignon - Tea Garden arrived, I'll try to take pics soon, she's adorable but I was surprised to see that she has teeth From the pics I wouldn't guess it. I bought a pair of Wednesday shoes for her and they fit, not sure if they will fit with socks, but without them they fit! Can't wait to find time to take pictures, weather is awful and now that the World Cup (soccer) will begin here, I don't know how my life will be, but I promise I'll do my best to post pictures soon (and of TC Pansy Belle Epoque also, ops, wrong thread, lol). Her joints are indeed a bit weird, and she's the chubbiest MSD I have - and trust me, I have a lot of them, from many companies.

edited - ok, just realized they now announce Wednesday & Holiday shoes but when I bought them I had no idea they would fit (black mary janes)

 

Kayjay: yay! Finally! I can't wait to see your Bebe! I have always wondered why RL does not get more recognition. The dolls and service are exceptional. The Japanese know when they see a quality doll.

Be-life: Congratulations! You are lucky to get a limited. Can't wait to see pictures. The joints are very different. I like them.

Thanks Oliveoil - as I said on Flickr I think some people who are used to double joints and lots of posability would be disappointed as she is 'simple' but I love her. As always, her resin and faceup are fabulous and I love her chunky body (her tummy button especially )! I was a bit concerned that I ordered Bebe as a 'Miu replacement' and I wouldn't like her as much, but I love her face (although I reserve the right to buy Miu also next time she's released!).

I bought the dress at a dolly meetup I go to annually made by a lady called Anne. The dress was made for Dollstown 5 or 7 so is too long for her, but next time I have the sewing machine out I'll shorten it for her. I have another couple of similar dresses too.

Oh! Two new cuties!!!! Concratulations to Kayjay and B-Life! They are gorgeous!

 

Here's a picture of my Mignon with 16mm eyes, they're too light I think, want to try other colors but I think the size of eyes suit her, she looks a bit older, not so baby like with the 18mm size:

 

Those eyes are lovely, Be-Life. My Bebe has 18mm from Rosenlied in, but they're a bit wonky on the photos so need adjusting, so you've only got a side view of her here. Poor girl still needs a name. I'm thinking Molly, Polly, Megan....

My Bebe is still unnamed, but she has new beautiful lips by Tami! We did a trade and I got the best deal.

Well I am officially joining this discussion! I found an in-stock LE BonBon last night and blew my budget for the month! I think I would like a Bebe also but BonBon will satisfy the immediate need for a Holiday's Child!

Congratulations Nancy! She is gorgeous! I was so tempted by that limited girl, because her outfit and wig are wonderful, and because Bonbon is the other Holiday's child I hope to get. I'm hoping they wil release another basic version of since I really want "normal" skin and to do my own faceup.

RL said my Mignon should be ready to ship next week. Yay!!!

 

Yay! That was a long wait!

My little one surprised me by arriving yesterday without a shipping notice! I love her and can't wait to do her faceup. Hopefully, I will have some time this weekend.

She woke up a bit grumpy after her long nap in the box and wouldn't let me brush her hair!

Congratulations Tami!!! She's really cute! I tried to comment on Flickr but for some reason the comment areas have disappeared but on the Flickr help forum it appears I'm not the only one so I can comment soon, but luckily you've posted a photo on here! I love her auburn wig, have you got a name for her yet?? And what are your plans re a faceup? Something natural? I can't wait to see! Do you like her size? I think once you get over the 'shock' of a bigger doll, she feels a lovely size, still childlike but chunkier.

It has been a while, but I finally took some time to give my Mignon (no name yet)her faceup! I love love love her size, but she is a bit challenging to stand. I can't figure out how the hip ball is supposed to be arranged when she stands. Her wig was all over the place so I braided it. It's still a bit messy but I think it's cute that way. I have that mohair wig for several of my dolls, but I suppose it's more managable in the 6-7 inch size. I love her default wig, it's so soft and silky. I'm on the hunt for a red one similar to it, but with some wave.

Did anyone try for the gorgeous limited Bebe RL just released? Alice in Rosenland. She is sold out of course.

 

I saw the new Bebe too late!

 

I tried for the insanely blushed Peanut (Rolling Pumpkin, you have me, seriously) but at the time of the sale, at least for me, the site was mad. It went down repeatedly, looked to be congestion on the site, and I didn't see anything go up for the first five minutes, easily. Didn't give up of course (I buy from lots of in-demand people and deal with site congestion regularly, which as I type this is sooo sad, LOLOL!), and then I got her in the cart, but she was Sold Out.

My sis had also thought that the new MC Cherry was also adorable (buck teeth, OMG!) so I finally saw her go available as well (separate window, thankfully, but this was easily over 5 minutes in) and I dropped her in the cart and got her at once, it took her almost 10 minutes to sell out, notably. The site was getting back to slightly better performance at this point, and I was relentlessly F5ing on Peanut just to be that person, and she suddenly came available again! :O

Needless to say, I dropped her into my cart a second time--twice in my cart! And of course then I didn't get her a second time as well, fail. So quite frustrating on my part, I hope someone from the group got her, at least, she's a peach and I'm sorry to have missed her.

Tami - she's so lovely, her faceup and wig are perfect I've not really tried to stand my Bebe, I'll have a go and feedback if I manage to do it.

Heidipay - sorry you didn't get Peanut, despite really trying by the sound of it! Maybe you'll find one on the secondary market if you're lucky.

 

Tami: Mignon is lovely! I hope we see more of her. I love her cheeks. Beautiful face up. I hope they release Mignon again. I am anxious to see the new limited Mui being sold for one day. The bodies are so well made and I agree the size is wonderful.

Heidipay: Keep checking back on the site. They come up for sale if someone cancels. I hope you get her. She will be offered as a basic. I liked the last Limited much better than the first one. I agree the limited Monday is very cute. Congratulations on getting her.

 

LOLOL! I have been checking since Sunday morning my time, but if she's gone back up, I've missed it. They haven't moved her to the Limited - Sold Out section or changed her price from $630 to $0, when they do that, then typically all the dolls have been paid off. Maybe they're slow to do it--or maybe they're waiting on some bank transfers.

Tami - my Bebe stands ok with a bit of balancing but she has very sturdy shoes on which do help.
I'd like a basic Miu with a similar, neutral, faceup to Bebe, a limited faceup just wouldn't look nice with her as she's so childlike and cute.

 

I am excited to see the new Miu that will be offered for one day only. Does anyone have a picture of her? She was sold at doll events.

My Holiday's Child BonBon - Yodel Song arrived today! She is gorgeous! At 104, she thinks it is too hot to put on that wonderful outfit! I got a simple summer dress out for her but she is still lounging around without any clothes! Maybe tomorrow morning I can get her dressed!

Oh my. I was thinking that I would not fall for her, since she has mostly closed eyes, but I am completely smitten--but alas I have no dolly funds now!!!!
