Did anyone see all the cute outfits for Holiday? I like that they are dressing them in TC clothes.
I love this company and just can't stay away.

 

Yes I thought they were all lovely but I managed to resist, I'm waiting to see if I like the Holiday's Child size before investing in clothes. Although I do love the coat and hat set in the clothes section for them.

 

You will be pleasantly surprised. The body is fun to handle and so well made. I didn't bond with Bonbon, but I really liked the quality and body type. I would call them a big Tuesday Child, because they really are not a typical MSD.

 

I have bought a dress for her from a dolly friend who makes the most adorable 'little girl' dresses in MSD size

I ordered Mignon, and I just saw those photos! I am sooo glad I ordered her! I'm doing my own and know I won't be able to do teeth, but if that's the default makeup (and I think it is) it looks very nice--even with the teeth! Do you haev a shipping notice for your Bebe, Oliveoil?

Just checked out the new clothes and another photo makes me very glad to have ordered Mignon! Doesn't she look precious here?! http://www.rosenlied.com/eng/sub/view_product.php?Code=1400214361&CatNo=176 My Mignon will be a red head too! (I can't have too many red heads!)

 

I have Bebe on order, but now I've seen Mignon.... but it was her teeth that put me off, but she looks great in that photo. No shipping here sadly. Miu is my favourite, so if i like Bebe's size and body, then she's next as I really want twins. I had twin dolls as a child, in a silver cross twin dolls pram, and they remind me of them in some way.

 

Kayjay I love the idea of twin dolls. My mom's side of the family has so many twins-both identical and fraternal (mom and her sister are identical), that I was really hoping to have twins too. Bebe and Miu will make adorable twins.

Thank you for posting Bebe. I did not see her yesterday. She is so pretty! I really like both. I did not bond with Bonbon's face, but the body is so nice. It poses well and has a good feel. Kayjay, you have the right idea with twins. These dolls need someone to display with.
Bonbon made me think of the movie Honey I Shrunk The Kids when standing next to TC girls. My plan is to get Mignon if they offer again. They seem to be selling well. The outfits sell out, so someone is buying them. hopefully, RL will expand the line.

I did not receive a shipping notice, but asked if I could add to my order. They said she will ship out the end of next week.

I'm keep seeing more Miu on Flickr (I think this is one https://www.flickr.com/photos/47561189@N03/14196756053/), they seem to be more present than the Weds Child.
Oliveoil - I didn't realise you'd ordered Bebe too! Hopefully mine will ship very soon too.

 

LOL! I didn't want to share. I felt a little silly for selling Bonbon and then order Bebe. I also took a resin doll break, but it didn't last for long. When did you order Bebe? I ordered the red mohair wig and coat outfit. I wish I could remember what eye size. RL states 18mm, but I always end up using one size down from their recommended size. I really like their glass eyes.

I saw that Miu. She is very pretty. Yes, it does seem this size is more popular than the WC. Could it be there are so many companies doing MSD, that Holiday is just a little different from the norm?

 

Rosenlied dolls make such nice models. I just finished this dress. She has the Heavenly Blue glass eyes. They photograph odd, but are so pretty in person.

 

I love the owl dress! so cute. I love that she can look like a sweet little girl.

I keep doing Rosenlied searches on Flickr and then sorting for "recent", in hopes of seeing some Holiday's Children and today didn't disappoint! A darling new Bebe and Mignon have shown up with many photos!

I found her pictures, too. I am very glad I ordered her. When did you place your order?

 

14th March but I didn't finish paying for her until 17th April.

 

You should not have long to wait. I paid mine on April 4th.

 

No it shouldn't be too long. Then of course she sits in UK customs for a fortnight before being processed and held to ransom! I have got used to long waits from companies but I find the time between arriving and leaving customs so frustrating..

 

Hopefully it won't be that long in customs. I am not used to that kind of thing in the US, but I had shipped a package of Teddy Bears (I make them) to a UK shop and they were going to take them to one of the biggest Teddy bears shows in the world. I was so excited, but the bears were held in customs for four weeks so they missed the show

 

Oh Tami that is sad. Customs must be so frustrating. Kayjay, I hope Bebe slips right on thru!

 

Oh Tami that is so annoying. Was it Hugglets? I used to go there a lot as I collected bears before bjds. I still do, but only occasionally.
Oliveoil - fingers crossed although I seem to get caught every time now, although we're lucky as the asian companies mark down so our bill is usually around £30 for a $50 declaration, although that also includes the hated Parcelforce fee for 'handling' the customs.

 

Frustrating indeed! Yes it was Hugglets! I have always wanted to go in person, and was so excited that my bears would be going. It ended ok, though as the shop had no trouble selling them (they sold by photographs, and dare I day it, my reputation) and has asked me to send them work for Next February's show! I will post them in in January LOL!

Crossing fingers that your dear little Bebe arrives without hassel! Shipping cost so much--even within the US anymore.

Oliveoil, I hope you will photograph you Bebe as soon as she arrives

 

She arrived today! I like her much better than Bonbon. I love this body. It is heavy and nice to pose. Unfortunately I sold all my 18mm eyes and didn't order any from RL. Not sure I like these but will do until I can replace.

 

She looks beautiful Oliveoil - so pleased you like her over the Bonbon you had! Have you any clothes for her yet, or do you need to buy/make some?

I think she looks pretty with the 16 mm in that dark brown. I am considering 16 mm for my Mignon. Whether 16 or 18 I will have to buy them. The biggest I have are 14...or maybe my minifee's default eyes were 16--I will have to check.

Does anyone know if there are any other dolls whose clothes would fit these Holiday's Child girls, like Tonner, Kish, Sasha etc.?

 

I just tried the owl dress that Emma was wearing that also fits Dianna Effner Little Darling, fits Holiday. I have a 14" Kish outfit I will give a try tomorrow and let you know.

 

I prefer her with brown eyes, but then I usually favour brown or green eyes and the 16mm work well. I've got 18mm eyes but they are blue (they were in the UK so I decided to buy and try!). Definitely try on Kish clothes, it would be really helpful if a generic doll clothing fitted her.

 

Yes Kish clothes do fit. I will post a picture. Maybe not pants, but dresses fit nicely.

LOL! I was just going to post this. She is cute, but I think I prefer Mignon. Here is a picture of Holiday wearing original Kish outfit. It is a bit short but works...

 

I wonder if the 16" Kish would be better? That would give extra length.

I think the new sculpt looks younger than the others. Peanut is very sweet, but so far, she's the only one that does not make me want her-even just a little. Still, I think I will only have two in the end and this photo has me leaning ever more closely to Bonbon! I wish I had been paying attention to RL when she was first released as a basic!

Ack, just saw the prices for the Holiday Child dresses - for outfits I am not totally convinced of that´s a bit steep. Since I am a total ignorant regarding MSDs - would the Holiday Children belong to the slim MSDs or the, uh, other ones? ^^

 

Sorry, I can't really help you as my Holiday Child isn't here yet, but I was told by someone on Flickr that they fit into normal MSD stuff, albeit they're a bit long for them.

 

I have found that Holiday can wear many things Wednesday can wear. I consider Wednesday a slim MSD. Although Holiday has shorter legs and bigger bum. Pants may not work.
BTW, I am enjoying Bebe. She is so nice to handle and pose.

 

Kayjay: I believe you mentioned wanting the Holiday Coat outfit. I just tried it on her and it is a definite must have.
She stands so nicely on her own, but I use a stand when displaying in my room. I would be very sad if she fell.

 

She does look adorable in that, does she have a name yet? I'm waiting on buying stuff until I have mine in my hands, in case I decide her size isn't for me. I do prefer tinies but seem to have collected a few MSDs now so we'll see

 

Oliveoil, your girl is too cute That coat is adorable. Also the chair with the little plush toys!

I tried other MSD clothing today on my Viviane, and much to my surprise it fits her. And also looks good! That makes my life considerably easier ^^

 

Kayjay: Thank you! I am so happy with her. She is a lot of fun because she is not a typical MSD. It takes time to get used to a big Tuesday girl. I may name her Bella, but not sure. I hope they offer more outfits with less frills for these girls.

On the left Mignon is wearing a Kemper wig size 7/8 (barely stays on; maybe with a wig cap)
On the right she is wearing a jpop wig size 8/9. Perfect.
