I'm really so happy I managed her! I loved the Rose sculpt immediately when the LE recently was released and knew she was going to happen eventually, then this girl came out!
She even ended up white skin when originally the Oscar/GiGiker doll was supposed to have normal skin so became even more perfect
Plus she's different to my other dolls, which I think in the end was part of why I went for her over the Beige.
She's going to look AMAZING with my Cheshire Cat!

I wonder if anyone else on DoA tried and succeeded outside heidipay and myself?

I wasn't feeling too great the day she arrived so my photo taking skills weren't so great, and I've been too busy to play with her much.

She is lovely ...the eyebrows are wonderful and those lashes...and the sculpt is a happy surprise...I was thinking she really had a 1/2 closed eye look...would you say no when looking at her straight on?

I have become a fan of Oscar...the minimalist Oscar, LOL...I have Cheshire Cat and a MoMocolor and saw
that a LE Rose in normal skin by Oscar will be offered this month, but I really prefer white skin. I am hoping not to like this next release!! Yikes

Midnitestar, your Rose is awesome. Exactly what you like, I am so glad you got her. She is a perfect match with her sisters. Her outfit was gorgeous too if I remember correctly. You must show more pictures when you get time.

 

She's a really unique sculpt I feel! Her eyes are really far apart to the point where at some angles the camera makes them look TOO far, which they don't seem at all in person.
It's all about capturing her right, then when you do she's amazing!
I'll admit, I much prefer the darker, more dramatic, much more sparkly Oscar to the minimalist look she's been going with lately. I was a little worried Rose's faceup wasn't going to be quite enough for me, and while it IS less dramatic than I'd like, it really just works for this doll.

latedate_kate, which Momocolor Oscar doll did you get? I have the Beautiful dreamer girl by Oscar, then the Flower Candies Pink ver. by Memento Mori (who I'd been stalking on auction for quite sometime so was thrilled to get her!).
I was really tempted by the Two Witches White ver. too but, since I already had that sculpt in Beautiful dreamer I got the other one.
I'm definitely curious about the LE Rose by Oscar this month too! The One was supposed to be normal skin but ended up white skin so, I wonder if Oscar decided to do her idea for the original The One as an LE?
I must prefer white skin too (or grey, or purple, or any unnatural colour) and generally hate normal skin, but my Flora was just too unique and amazing to pass up on and I'm glad I got her. You never know, the normal skin might work if the faceup and outfit is right!

Shashy! The outfit is MASSIVE too and I'll have to be creative to get you a good photo of it. Here's a photo I took back when she arrived though!

 

She is gorgeous. It is hard to see the dark outfit with a dark background though. I find my dark outfits sometime impossible to get good pictures without a professional setting and camera. I do know the outfit was woderfull though.

 

I'd buy her for those gorgeous shoes alone!! And the rest of her is beautiful too

I saw the new Rose is still available - it seems the dolls with face ups by Oscar never sell quickly. I often think if they are maybe too flashy for most Rosen Lied fans. I really like her though, if I hadn´t got my French Rose already I guess I would have gone for her!

 

Ashemanu, I assume you have your French Rose by now? I received mine a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE her. She is truly exquisite!!! She is my first Wednesday's Child too.

I was really lucky to get her; I checked the Rosenlied site a few days after her release and saw she was for sale again, so I pounced. I'm really glad I did.

 

You were lucky! Perfect timing, it was meant to be!

 

bijoux7961, yes I got her last week I am normally not the MSD-type, so I was a bit unsure if I would like her, but when I removed her facemask, my first spontaneous squeal was "SO cute!!!" It was love at first sight She is absolutely beautiful, everything about her. At first I planned to change her face up (I only bought the limited version cause she was/is still not released as basic), but Kana did such a lovely job on her that I am now thinking to keep it.
The only woes I had was with her wig (lots of wool clumps at the end of the strands which I finally cut off) and the corset is too tight, I cannot close the upper snaps. But as Rosen Lied already said, Wednesday Child is full of woe ^^ Very minor issues regarding her overall quality and beauty as a fullset.

Now I am thinking about different clothing - since I am a total noob regarding MSDs, which clothes will fit her? For Unoas? Minifees? Iplehouse BIDs? I have no clue. Anyone knows? Thank you

 

Ashemanu, I'm so glad you like your French Rose too! This is my first Kana face-up (I have several Mondays and Tuesdays) ever, and I am just delighted with it. Sooooo, beautiful! I would keep it if I were you.

My wig has a little clump in one area on the end, which I have been fluffing out successfully so far to hide it, and I found I could not close the corset either. So, I took it off and I liked the outfit just fine. The sheer top is in keeping with the sexy "cancan" look anyway. Eventually I will attempt to put the outfit together without the top and see if I can snap the corset then. Oh, and a word of caution: watch out for the stockings and stains. I had my Rose in her limited outfit for just two weeks and found there were a couple of spots on the ankles that were stained. Fortunately I took them off successfully with rubbing alcohol.

Currently, my Rose is wearing a new limited outfit that arrived just yesterday. I finally have pictures, so I will post in a bit. I haven't posted a picture in a while and have to figure out how to do it again.

I know what you mean; Rosenlied dolls are absolutely wonderful. I just don't understand why they are not as popular as some other dolls either.

Here is another picture. As in the photo above, she is wearing the lovely limited outfit by Uyuchagongbang that is still available. The pictures on the site don't do it justice. And I love the hat. I swear it's modeled after one I've seen as part of a French regional costume--from either Normandy or Brittany, I think.

 

Ashemanu, I have clothes for Souldoll MSD Soulkids that fit French Rose quite nicely. She definitely has the measurements of some slim MSDs. MiniFee clothes might be too tight in the bust. I'm not sure about Unoa clothes; I'd really like to know, though. Iplehouse JID clothes would be too loose.

I sure hope RL offers some shoes for the high heel feet someday.

 

Yes she can wear a lot of slim MSD. It surprised me how many things she can wear. EmmaJean can wear Ellowyne clothes! I believe she can wear MNF too.
I am looking forward to basic Jerome!

BTW, she looks lovely in that outfit. The hat is so pretty. If they offer high heel shoes they better offer the feet! My girls have the flat feet.

 

Thanks, Oliveoil. I'm a total sucker for Uyuchagongbang's designs. My doll has the high heeled feet (though I think she came with extra flat feet parts). So far, Rosenlied has sold separately shoes for flat feet only.

And thanks for that information about clothes. I didn't know that Ellowyne clothes were a fit.

I love the Jerome sculpt--and Arcas too. I see that a limited Juniper is still available. I've had my eye on him ever since he came out. Such a handsome face, and I love the GiGiker outfit. I'm not wild about the wig just because I'm not a fan of long hair on guys, but my girl could wear it. I'm soooo tempted ...

 

bijoux7961, your Rose is lovely! Such a pretty girl I see you use the original wig too. I tried some others on her, without bangs, but she always demanded her old wig back!

I saw some nice clothes for MNF here on the marketplace and wondered if they might fit. I had ordered a Dollheart MSD outfit for her which will arrive soon, their clothes fit my Souldoll MSDs nicely, so I hope it will fit her too.

Ashemanu, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. Yes, I love her original wig. I liked it from the start, and then it really grew on me. I did buy one of the Elegance wigs, but I haven't tried it on her yet.

Thanks for the tip about the Dollheart MSD outfits.

I might ask RL if they'd allow me to put Juniper on layaway. My Rose needs a male buddy or boyfriend.

 

My little Flana:



She is among the smaller MSDs I have noticed, the Dollheart outfit is almost too big for her. I am almost sure that MNF outfits would fit her!

 

Ashemanu - she's beautiful I'm hoping to get a Weds girl soon and she looks like she'll display well with my Narae (on an Aquarius doll body) and Minifee, she looks more comparable with slim mini rather than standard msd.

 

Ashemanu: She is lovely! I am down to 2 MSD...RL Wednesday Daisy and Flora. I love them both. It is amazing how slim they are.
Jerome is tempting but I tend to lean toward the Tuesday size, so will be good for now.

 

I am really liking the girl Jerome, and RL are offering layaway for her. I wouldn't know whether to go for normal or white skin though, my Tuesday girl is white skin which is beautiful but I do like the promo pic of Jerome which I *think* is normal.

 

Thanks kayjay and Oliveoil I just bought the curly blonde wig for her, I saw her with that wig on RL's blog and it looked lovely! Hopefully it will look lovely on Flana too ^^

The girl Jerome IS pretty I am happy that they offer layaway now, but it also adds to the temptation! WS will get darker over the time, after a few years it is a rather nice color (at least with my girls).

 

I know, i can't decide if layaway is a good thing or not!! I do want to end up with two RL girls, so I'm tempted to order NS Jerome and then wait for a limited WS to come along that I fall in love with.

 

Ashmemanu: Do you have the RL blog site? I would love to follow it.

kayjay: I am right there with you on Jerome! I have posted this before but here is EmmaJean (Flora). I like the Limited in white skin and the basics in normal. Emma is normal. I am concerned that Jerome looks similar to Emma. What do you think?

Well, I don´t think that Flora and Jerome look very similar - they are quiet different

 

I think Emma only looks similar due to the styling, with blonde hair and blue eyes. I think with different eyes, wig and clothes they'd look like cute sisters but not too similar.

Well I've done it... I've put Jerome (girl) on layaway I decided on normal skin, although I love my Tuesday girl's white skin, I'm curious to see the normal skin and decided the mori-style I intend for her would suit ns best.

A family of four sounds good. Your post reads "Lati Addict", I am Rosenlied Addict! I have many and hope I never tire of them. They are not the easiest to sell, but for now I am enjoying them.

 

There's nothing like a Lati to make me squeee (!) but I am finding I really love a few other companies too, Rosenlied is one, Peakswood is another. A friend actually warned me off RL dolls as they are hard to sell which is a huge shame if people are put off due to that. I have waited until I have found a Weds girl that I hope will be a keeper. I'm also at the stage of my collecting where I'm not just buying and selling to find out what I really like. I have a little order coming today from RL - some of those cute Tuesday shoes just released and I have also ordered the Weds shorts and t-shirt as I have been wanting them for ages and was afraid they'd sell out soon like so many other clothes have that I've loved on there.

 

It is very odd about Rosenlied. They make lovely dolls, quality is superb and customer service is excellent and yet the resale on the dolls is not so good. I have never figured out why.
I purchased LE Noah. Her face up did not look like the photos on site. RL took her back and the artist is fixing, as they agreed it was not the same.
What company would do that?
I wish I could return Pudding but she does look just like the photos on site.

Please review the shorts and top. I have been tempted with them too. The new Tuesday shoes are so cute. I got a pair with Harmony and tempted for more. Have a fun dolly day!

Maybe Rosen Lied in general is not far known ... there are only these discussion threads, no Waiting Rooms. Only very few pictures in the galleries. I remember seeing a Limited Tuesday Child Clover forever on the Market place, now, when I want one, there isn´t one of course ^^
For, the RL molds are somewhat special, not babylike as other YoSDs, or fantasy oriented like Soom. They have a somewhat antique, not so modern touch (for me at least). Maybe that´s why they are not so popular.

 

Oliveoil - I saw your Noah, I'm pleased RL are going to redo her and I hope you love her then. I think she's a very cute sculpt, with a lot of potential.

The shorts and t-shirt arrived today and are beautiful. They fit my Minifee perfectly (which answers an earlier question in this thread)

Ashemanu - I understand what you're saying but there are other companies which do similar 'antique' styles that are more popular. Well we will enjoy our beautiful and rare dolls, people don't know what they're missing!

 

Kayjay: Did you see the difference in Noah's face up than the site photos? They will repaint her to look like pics on site. Hope I am happy.

Ashemanu: You could be right about looking more like antique dolls. It seems the "artist" dolls are the trend now. RL never does make the trends, but I love them. It is nice as lately it is possible to get the Limiteds. Last year they sold out in minutes.

 

I don't think I looked closely enough at your Noah, do you have a pic to post on the Tuesday thread? It would be interesting to see how different she looks as RL's faceup artists are usually spot on.

I was slightly disappointed in that I asked if I purchased the eyelashes with Jerome would the faceup artist attach them for me and Rose replied she'd spoken to the artist and the answer was no. I think for the sake of a few minutes and good customer service it wouldn't have hurt to do it. I almost thought 'well I won't buy her then' but then decided that was cutting off my nose to spite my face!!!

Oh I hope the limiteds remain not selling out in minutes as I really want another. I only got my Melody because she remained for sale for a period of days after release. I don't think our internet is quick enough to grab a girl who is desirable.

 

That is the one good thing about RL not being popular right now, the chance to get the limiteds ^^ In all the years before I never have been lucky with that. The four limiteds I have now I bought days after they went on sale. Now it is just difficult with the limited outfits, they can still sell out in seconds. Still wondering if I will try for the Wednesday Child outfit tomorrow ...

kayjay, that is a bit strange that the face up artist can´t be bothered with the eyelashes. And nobody else of their staff can do it? Okay. But it´s good you still bought her, it´s not her fault after all, and she will be lovely ^^

 

kayjay: I asked the same about the eyelashes and got the same answer. I really wish they would offer this service. They did it once for my basic Macaron. Here is a picture of Noah before. This is not a good picture. It does not show the eyebrows. That was the big difference and the lips look unfinished.
Once she returns I will post a picture of her on Tuesday thread.

 

Noah is very pretty, I hope you like the new faceup. I've studied her a lot wondering whether she could be my Melody's sister but I prefer Chocolat and Beige to the Noah sculpt (I think!).

Yes I can stick the lashes on, but I am worried I'll damage the faceup in the process. But I'll give it a go.

The only outfits I really want now are the Sugarbabylove ones. Hopefully I'll get one in the future.
