Oh its so near ,am getting ready to leave later to day for the drive up

@ Miss L - I think I'm getting on at Rochdale or Castleton now, not sure what time though yet. I'm bringing my Elfdoll Red and Soah hybrids and my Planetdoll Riz

 

I've arrived in Ilkley where I'm staying with my sister. The train will probably get to Leeds about 9:10, will that be too late to walk with the group? I could get the earlier train but it's just so early. Yawn. I've only got a head to bring I'm afraid, I shall be gazing longingly at all your wonderful dolls.

 

I'm having my halfway coffee @ Trowellmoto services in nottingham wondering how to squeeze my stuff into the case 2moro :p. (discovered the main box is an inch too big to fit in!) Plan B needs more coffee still :pSee u 2morrow

 

I just gor reminded by Hubby to ask if you know the cheapest closest place for us to park?

Just arrived back, was a fun day out and im sure all who attended will agree it was a total success, big thanks to the organisers and my hubby has already put up a website with some of the photos he took... most are of the guest artist Iccheayo doing a one coat faceup with 50 people watching.. so no pressure there then. my hubby says you can use the photos as you wish.

Just got back... what an absolutely fantastic time we had!!

Many thanks to everybody involved in setting up the con, particularly those who gave the fantastic demos, and the very organised people running the awesome bring and buy... but also big kudos to those behind the scenes doing the important jobs like filling up the tea & coffee

Can't wait until next year, and can't wait to see more photos!

I had an epic time and loved every moment of it, it was well put together, well thought out and never had a dull moment. I'll be at the next one you can guarentee it!

 

I would like to thank River and Solo for the amazing effort that they put into yesterday. I really enjoyed the meet and I loved seeing all the different dolls.

I can't wait to see everyones photos.

 

Oh and can i please add a thank you to the lovely people who donated for the gift bags (and prizes) I got a pair of 8mm eyes i really needed and i love them and will be buying some more!

also just wanted to add on behalf of my hubby that it is possible to download the images on his website for printing or for your own personal use by clicking the download full sized image at the bottom of each image page, right clicking and selecting "save as"

if anyone wants the origonal jpg without the water mark pm me with your email address and the picture number and ill get him to email them to you.

 

I'm back home now too, still sorting out photos and videos! I had an amazing time, I'm so glad I could make it and a massive thank you to solo and River for organising it!!

I hope everyone found the faceup demonstration informative & helpful, it was really fun to do and everyone was so nice and friendly

Oh and I'm still absolutely over the moon that I won the art competition! Really really love this little girl

What a boss day, think my body aged about 60 years overnight though from carrying my giant women around for two days hoho. Looking forward to next year! thanks to all the organisers/helpers. I am very pleased with my new little boy, he is called Trinket and has been taken under the wing (quite literally) of Captain Mel, and is entertainingly small. Thank you Angeldolls for the dollies!

The faceup demo was excellent! I haven't tried to do any myself yet but now I'm keen to start. All the events were great and very well-paced over the day.

 

Just a belated note to say how much I enjoyed Saturday though my legs and arms feel like I've spent a couple of hours in the gym thanks to lugging that case along those cobbles. It has cost me money as well as I've just bought a tiny from the MP after seeing all those little cuties, at least next time I can bring a smaller bag!

 

I've only just got back from my epic dolly weekend (went to Chester after the con and then on to Bridgnorth before coming home today...whew!).

I had a great time! Thank you all! I'm really pleased to have met everyone and all those amazing dolls! I've learned loads - especially from Syryn and Icchaeyo. I'm now reassured about my Withdoll's stringing and my faceup techniques respectively!

For me, the whole day couldn't have been a better launching platform into the hobby! Thank you so much to everyone in front of, and behind, the scenes including solo and river for creating the day!

@ solo: In regards to my missing digital artwork entry, it's my own silly fault - I sent it on 29th July to 'competitions @ rosadoll.co.uk' (shouldn't have had an 's' in it!)

^^ I'm kicking myself, lol.
Anyway, I've loaded it to my Flickr account for now. If it can be added to the group of entries for your website I can forward it again to an actual email address, lol.
If not, it's okay; I'm just living up to my forum name!


I love all the photos already! I did do a little wizz-round with my video phone (although it's playing up at the moment) but I mainly got dollies, not humans. I might upload it to Youtube in the future, but I won't if anyone feels strongly about it.

I can't wait to see/hear updates from some of the girls (and boys) I was chatting to, and when my armoured boy gets his makeover, I'll link here (as I know there was quite some interest in him).

I would like to say a big HELLO and a Thank you also. I came in as the photographer, to capture some images for the website, and I left with a new hobby, a tiny, and a few pieces of advice that will help me out when taking my first few shaky steps into this big world of bjd's.

Again thank you all for being so welcoming to an "Outsider", and I am sure I will be seeing you all again.
