Ringdoll Waiting Room v9

My order is with Fabric Friends and dolls we had no issues. I am also sure Jeeryyama is allowed to sell them also.
Weird that they couldn't. Ringdoll said they took steps to allow international sales of the doll and dealers will be able to participate. I knew I wanted to do a layaway (because too much hobbies) so I went to FFaD because I refused to layaway with ringdoll and be at the back of the production line seeing as over 1k of Wei wuxian sold I made the right choice.
Maybe some dealers don't want to deal with the confusion around this release. I know Iris was over it when she had to email me saying my invoice will be higher cause we can't do any discounts or events with The Modaozushi guys but its understandable there is no license for them outside of China cost will be diffrent. Price is worth it for someone else to deal with them vs me.

 

May depends on the dealer. I ask BJDivas as well and they said that since it's a licensed doll, their commission are very low so it wouldn't cover the cost of shipping to them. So most likely most dealer won't be able to carry him if they aren't located in China or a closer region.

 

I know Dolk will order dolls not listed on their site, but I don’t remember if they charge for that service or not

Would love to order LWJ, too, but one doll is all I could afford. hahaha

 

So I'm still dealing with getting my doll from DHL/customs. I sent off all the appropriate paperwork on Saturday and they confirmed all that. Then, since Sunday he's gone through a single 'clearance event' everyday (note, the doll has been in my city since the end of January), but nothing on his status actually updated. I just called them and asked them what that was all about, because nothing seemed to be happening, turns out they were waiting for me to pay the customs fee, which I never received any notification about x.x So I wasted 3 days because of this.

I'm so done with all this. also Ringdoll has not replied to my email due to Chinese New Year where China shuts down for about 2 weeks.

TLDR:
If you order directly from Ringdoll and pay for the insurance they offer, make sure they value your doll properly on the customs form, because it will be dinged. Or just don't get the insurance.

I also still haven't received an shipping notice from Ringdoll.

 

My Hui just got out of customs last night, so hopefully he’ll be here soon ;n;

Ahh, I love seeing Lan Wangji orders on there already! He seriously looks amazing. I'll be putting mine in as soon as his accessories become available, but I'm getting impatient.

Ringdoll seems to speed up since Lunar New Year! I'm exited!

 

You lucky! But I don't think they speed up, because I wait my order from June and I not received yet

 

My S fullset that I ordered in mid October has been made, head is awaiting faceup, and still needs his outfit. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was another three months till he’s finished. Fingers crossed it’ll be sooner than that!

YESSS Lan Wangji finally! I have also ordered him with the guqin. I made a horrible mistake and didn't decide on Wei Wuxian in time, so I'll have to try and get him second-hand later @.@

 

Ringdoll has posted that within 4 hours of opening up Lan Wangji, they sold over 1000 units. I really hope thy hire more staff to keep up with the incoming massive backlog, since we know they also sold over 1000 units of Wei Wuxian.

 

Wow...I really hope they can keep up...I ordered a full set doll back in mid-August..still waiting...wonder if I should contact my dealer to see what the status is.

 

I recommend it because there have been issues with people's orders, even orders through dealers.

 

I haven't told my story yet, probably since I am so upset about it and also because it isn't finished yet, but I think it, too, can help people make informed decisions when thinking about ordering from RD...?

We ordered RD Rinku on May 1st, 2018, via a dealership. He was supposed to be my combined birhtday/ Xmas gift that year. The first thing that gave me pause was when RD brought Rinku dolls to a French BJD convention in October of that year: So they had several dolls finished when people had been waiting for him 5-6 months already, some even longer than me - but we didn't get them, they were offered to convention visitors.
My Rinku was delivered to the dealer in November - but not with the body I had ordered. Despite the dealer's efforts and communications, it took RD until January 2019 to acknowledge the fact and assure the production of a replacement doll (only making a new body would have meant the resin colour could have differed from the November '18 head). They stated that because of the overload from several events that had happened meanwhile and had to be processed, it would take them longer than normal to do so. The idea to give priority to amending their own mistake concerning an order predating all these events did not occur to them. We were asked to be understanding of their behaviour.

But what really got me was that RD then landed the completely innocent dealer with the erroneously delivered doll without any recompensation and they had to try and find a buyer for him themselves. We all know how hard it can be to sell in stock dolls, when the ability to choose the features of your own doll, like colour, body etc. is what buying BJDs is all about.

So that's where we are standing now, 10 months after the order date. I do not want to give RD a bad reputation or deny all the beautiful things they have done or made, but I can hardly stand reading their brand name these days anymore. What's left is that I do still love Rinku. I'm just not sure he'll come home, ever.

@Mandagore - Really sorry to hear about all the issues and delays you have with Rinku. He's a sculpt I've been admiring for a while now, but need to think long and hard about.

I purchased a blank Ashford Evo and paid off the layaway in December. I went through ACBJD, but they still don't have any updates about his status. Hopefully something comes up soon, but we'll see. I knew that when I ordered ACBJD did give me an estimate of 6 months to wait for shipping. It would just be really cool if he arrived sooner.

 

Recently asked about my Ashford head. They said that the head is done and just waiting for a faceup.
Due to weather and holidays the procedure is delayed/slowed, however.

I haven't gotten a status back on my order yet, but my dealer had mentioned that RIngdoll has slowed down on shipping out dolls to them..so I think they might be quite backlogged.

You know, it would be much less upsetting if RD didn't demonstrate quite so openly they don't give a flying fig about their own mistakes and customer service after they got paid... at least it seems I won't be a returning customer.

 

Just now got around to ordering Lan Wangji. Hopefully I get him before the end of 2020.

 

Anyone know how long it take for Ringdoll to send replacement part if they forgot to ship it? I really hope it won't take 4 months to get my heel feet that they forgot to ship...

 

I ordered my Hui fullset in August of 2018, and I already finish my Layaway, so now I'm waiting for any news from the dealer.

 

My Dracula Style-B arrived!
Order Confirmation was sept 30th and now he was shipped within 4 days

Due to bad light after work I could not make proper pictures, but he is stunning. The Face-Up done by RD is magnificient...he has soft veins in his face! The body is well done and has a nice mobility. Only the included eyes seem a little cheap to me...they could have put proper eyes with a full doll. Anyway, I am very satisfied!

RD support asked me one day later, if I have successfully received my doll, because there were issues at customs, but I solved everything quickly and it was fine. I never had problems with their support and I really hope, that their service-team can help you all, too. Wishing you all the best of luck for getting your dolls quick and uncomplicated

I ordered an Alice01 fullset and paid her off in October, still waiting... I'm also wondering if anyone got the blank version yet?

 

Oh man. I was debating getting a blank Alice 01 blank head, but it looks like the wait times are very high at the moment! Does anyone know what it might be for that? I don't really want to wait months for one when there aren't even any owner pics yet.

About the Alice01, the basic doll has been finished, and the cloth is still on the production.
About the process of the cloth, usually after the doll is released, our colleague will find the material. Second, after the material is found, the sewing master will do a sample, then we will check if the sample is ok. Thrid, we checked the sample, if the sample is perfect, we will begin to produce the cloth.
On the period of finding the material and the produce process, it will takes long time.
Because the cloth of the Alice01 is complicated, so it will take long time, please understand.

I am getting my first doll from RingDoll actually, so I got no idea how their shipment and delivery works. Probably you could just send them a message or email them for the info.

And to answer your question in my own opinion, I suppose the blank dolls would send out earlier but it's still up to Ringdoll to decide.

 

GUYS my alice01 just shipped! She's on her way to my split partner. I'm super excite. We ordered her blank and through clover singing so hopefully some of y'all get your stuff soon!

Couldn´t pass up the nice 10% off event they had (ordered in October). They are ready for shipment, but since I ordered together with my sister - whose doll is not finished yet - I might not recieve them for another 1-2 months. (;x; )
