You received your doll and the face-up is poorly done?! I'd be interested in seeing pictures if you're willing to share.

Other people in this thread have had a nightmare of a time trying to get mistakes fixed but it sounds like you're able to correct it yourself which is awesome. I really hope they get back on track in 2020 cause this shouldn't be happening

Here is a close up of WeiWei's face. The eye crease on the right of the photo is to high and the eyebrow almost starts on his nosebridge while the left is further away. Everything else is perfect even his color I haven't been able to do much photo wise due to 3 hours of sleep all week due to work but. Slightly disappointed I now have to seek a face up artist to redo his face because the company faceup is bad. Here I was thinking I'd just be getting him new lilac colored eyes and some red and black modern clothes

 

Luckily for me I only waited six months during the layaway to pay for my doll. The doll was already in stock through a dealer so no wait time, plus it was a full set, I heard from a friend that it wasn’t worth the long delays that Ringdoll has unless you’re buying from the secondhand market or the doll is in-stock through a dealer, still six months is a long time

 

Yeah, that's good you were able to get yours so fast. I guess the wait doesn't bother me too much but maybe that's because I ordered another doll from Crobi who will get here much sooner. I've also pre-ordered a few anime figurines from Good Smile Co and that was a year in advance too. The bigger concern, at least for me, is waiting that long and then getting an inferior quality product because you really have no recourse at that point...

 

I just bought my first ever BJD about 2 months ago (at the early of Nov). He is Isak, and I boght fullset on taobao.

Actually, I bought Isak because he on sale (like much cheaper than usually sale), I dont like his face much, but I really like his outfit and wig Then I buy K's head (this is the one that I like the most) and RGfeet01 on 11/11 sale, and the 10th Anniversay's bag of RD on 12/12 sale. This cost me like... 1 years of saving money

I really hope the K's head is going home to me soon, so I can order a face makeup before our Luna New Year come

 

I'm still waiting for my basic tan S that I ordered back in the beginning Nov 2018. Next month it will be 14 months.

 

As of today the projected fourth quarter shipping time of 2019 has come and gone, so I wonder when Lan Wangji is going to ship. :-/

A small amount of people have received Lan Wangji already... but a lot are still waiting.

I’m still desperately hoping someone wants to sell theirs... I’m starting to go crazy with the constant checking on the marketplace, Facebook adds, and Instagram. I’m even dreaming about the constant search.....

 

I also saw that a few people have received him. He looks gorgeous from owner photos.

The wait just got a bit harder, hahaha.

 

That case I better prepare. I ordered my S fullset in April 2019. I guess I won’t see him anytime sooner

 

I ordered Ashford Evo• from Ringdoll back at the end of November. The 29th to be specific, it has only been 44 days but I am growing impatient?
Has anyone else ordered Ashford with NS?
Does anyone who owns him have pictures? I'd very much like to see.

 

@Crow Demon Congrats on ordering a new doll. ^_^ I see you are perhaps new in the hobby based on your profile? Most doll companies can take 4-6 months or longer to ship a doll once payment has been completed. I hope Ashford hurries home for you.

 

Yes, very new. I am aware of the wait times, sad about Ringdoll's wait time- I paid in full, so i get to wait until late july at the earliest.

 

I ordered the Virgo fullset early Nov (PIF), and to be honest I've prepared myself for a very long wait. I'd guess late Q3 or early Q4. Maybe they will surprise me. I hope things will get a little better once the Lan Wangji orders are taking care of. Still waiting on that one too. Has anyone here had him ship? I do know some people have received him in China.

 

I am so anxious for someone here to at least get their Lan Wangji shipping notification. Then I know mine can't be too far behind. Hopefully anyway.

 

After 14 months, my Ringdoll S arrived. I’ll admit, the wait got to me. When I first ordered, I expected like a six month wait, which is what I had seen around then. I didn’t expect a doll I ordered in 2018 to show up in 2020! Still I’m glad I finally got him. Not sure we will bond though. It’s been so long.
As for the doll himself, I do like the quality of the resin and I love the engineering of the body— but my faceup seems rushed, unfortunately. Would I order from Ringdoll again? I’m not sure. I suspect the faceup and the tan skin contributes to the delay. Hopefully they get faster.

 

Congrats! When I saw your posts I prepared for the worst. I’m glad you got your doll at last and hope you will bond with him, since the wait was too long.

 

I second the rushed face up thing. I am praying at this point my Hui has no issues with his face up. May 2019 and still waiting...

 

About Hui, someone that order him in March 2019 Just got him last week. So I think your will not be too much late. GL

 

It has now been 53 days since I ordered my first Bjd doll, when should email the company for a update?
I don't want to be waiting all this time, email them "were my doll?" And they tell me I never confirmed my order.

Did you order directly from Ringdoll or through a dealer? If it’s direct they likely do have your order and you should have received an email confirmation. I was personally not going to reach out for an update until the six month mark but I went through a dealer.

 

I ordered directly through Ringdoll. I do remember getting an email form them, I do believe it was the confirmation email but its fuzzy.
I cant find the emails either way.

 

I ordered my Ringdoll through a dealer on December 2nd (2019),
which I research and found reputable (positive feedback here and in other places).
As of right now the communication has been positive.
However after reading about the long wait times, I do get a bit nervous...Even more so, because it is my first doll.
I felt alright about it until I went into DollK and they mentioned how Ringdoll is now taking longer to make their dolls than other doll makers .

 

I went through the same situation with them I got 2 emails from them right away after making the order on their site. Never got the so called "confirmation email''. I emailed both the service and sales email on their site but got no reply. Contacted them via facebook and eventually I got the confirmation email from their service email. The confirmation email will basically tell you your order number and ask you to confirm if all the info are correct. Because of all the horror stories I heard about RD and this is my first time ordering from them, I needed to make sure my order is confirmed. You should keep contact them until they confirm your order.

 

I agree. If you can't find the e-mails themselves, go ahead and get another confirmation just in case somehow.

Placed an order for a basic Tang Ge with no faceup on September 21, 2019. I’m still waiting for her, but I’ve heard the wait times for Ringdoll are insane. I keep forgetting that I ordered her
She was supposed to be a nice and small, affordable doll to hold me over until I could get a 1/4 doll, but both 1/4 dolls came before she has

 

It’s unfortunate about the delays, I must be lucky to have gotten my confirmation within a day of placing my order. Now we play the waiting game ^^. I went in knowing I’m waiting a long time, if you want something bad enough I think the wait will be worth it ;0 Congrats on your doll!

 

I have now joined the waiting room for the other company with awful wait times, hahaha! I ordered a tan K head since it seems he's disappeared from Ringdoll's website and I was desperate to reserve my grail while I still could. He's been ordered through BJDdivas, who I believe are actual saints because they let me do crazy long layaways for everything, even this head! I'll have to hunt down a body eventually, but I don't want him vanishing and never being able to snatch him up in tan.

 

Welcome to the party! To be fair, at least it’s less than Dollshe a majority of the time. With a grain of salt. Happy thoughts though ;D What do you plan for that head? ;0

 

@FelicitousVixen I've already been waiting 11 months for a dollshe order, so I'm not too antsy about this one. I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed though! He's going to be one of my characters from a personal project. He's an emperor of a frankly enormous empire, and does quite a good job at it. He will be a bit tricky for me to faceup though. He needs heavy eye makeup and gold accents while still appearing masculine. I'll get it right eventually though.

He has a wife too, but her doll is off topic for this waiting room, and hasn't been released yet...maybe I'll get lucky and get to bring the couple home at the same time.

Oh man I've sent e-mails to Ringdoll directly with questions and just gave up on hopes of getting a response.

I noticed too that a number of their dolls are no longer on their site at the moment. Lucky I got my grail boy's order in before he was removed. They'll return to their site at some point, though. Regardless, bless bjDivas and Alice Collections. They can get you things that aren't even listed on their main site or even taobao, like unlisted heads.

 

I ordered the great mentor Hui on 8th April 2019, and I still waiting for him...
This is my first time ordering a Ringdoll, and now I read through the thread and notice that the waiting time is insane!!! lol
Well, hope Hui come home soon ;w;

Did you order a blank Hui or fullset? I ordered a blank just over a month and a half ago. My wait shall be a long one.

 

Me, too... Someone here told me that Ringdoll said he'd be finished in March or April. Hope it's true

 

I can confirm that is what Ringdoll said told me that also but that was last year so it might be more delayed now since business in China was on a longer than expected break.

Yeah I got the Mentor Hui, but blank. Evidently the sculpts are actually different, but the site never listed the RGM45 head so I couldn't compare the sculpts. I'm in love with adult Hui and have great plans. I nearly bought 2 more of his heads through BDDivas, but decided that starting a 1K layaway is a bit much, so I'll wait until he's re-released to grab a new head of him, since I'm sure they will re-release his base form.

 

Awww.. I want an extra head for modification too! Hope we get adult Hui soon ;w;

 

Agreed. I'm sad I didn't jump on it when I asked about it. Every dealer except Ringdoll's site seems to still list him, so it may be possible to still get his head. I want a tender and sleeping head. Simple mod to do indeed.

 

I actually ordered my fullset after the order period. I just asked them really really nicely lol( I was also pestering the previous English customer service girl about WWX alot prior to his release so she seemed ok about setting up my order through FFaD), but I do think I asked just before the batch order was sent to the factory. Some people got Grown Hui already because they were some of the first orders and any additional promotional Hui's made went to them first. Also Hui was obtainable in person at many doll events Ringdoll went to last year

I don't plan to modify my Hui to much as long as his faceup is perfect he will just need his ears pierced. My character for him requires more piercings than I've done on a doll before, but I am up to the challenge

 

Two months pass after I placed order for my girl... the waiting is still long.

I'm at month 11 for my Grown Hui and I still want him a lot... The adoration and excitement for him never once has gone away But yeah, it's still super annoying how Ringdoll handles their orders.

Does anyone know how long the wait time is for Chinese customers? (like if you bought them on taobao/live in china)

 

I'm surprised Ringdoll has yet another event when they should really work on making their waitlist shorter.

 

Exactly the same as western customers. If they do not cast a certain doll or color it affects all the customers in the same way.

It might look like Chinese customers get their dolls faster, but it happens only becouse they get the chance to order first, thus they are in waiting line first too.

 

Does it though? They’ve been doing this for a year now.

 

I am on the fence if I still want her. I really wanted a tiny doll but time will tell. If I find a PukiPuki first she might be out the door as I am trying to manage my collection. I bought her entirely on impulse because I LOVED the full set. That being said 6 months isn't too bad yet... I've waited just as long for other dolls I was still madly in love with when I received them. Ringdoll is just irking me, that's all.

 

Dang it someone has the head I've ordered in the marketplace. My willpower is being tested hahaha.

 

I didn't have enough money at the time to get her fullset; I didn't know about layaway at the time either. I regret not having the fullset for sure even though I don't have her yet.
