I have a KDF Zuzu boy Curly. He is the femboy type. And I've found out that the new ring kid type 3 body have just the right shape for a furry femboy character.

It have the right curves and wide hips as seen in the way many artists use to draw. The only thing I don't like is that it's not a two part torso. But besides that the shape of the body is perfect for what I have in mind

I do not have any plans to do any new BJD purchases at the moment because I'm on a break.


But I do wonder how does Luts and Ringdoll ns match. Anyone who knows?

I really like the new Chinese boy and girl. + she has horns! I'm disappointed the new bodies don't have a torso joint and why does the boy have such wide hips? but, they are very bendy! all Ringdolls can sit cross-legged. why can't more companies manage that?
I'm confused that the height says "head not included" ??? well, it's a doll not a body. the K3 body is 34.5. so 38cm overall? very short.

my only other RD is Xiu fullset. he's so cool, but the only heads I like are made for the big #3 body. I just know it would make a gap on the #4.

since the new kids are not limited, I'm going to wait and see about that mini Frankenstein.(or Dracula!) a lot of doll makers are going "fashion" size.
(my Dollshe 44cm man is wonderful.)

 

Hello everyone on DOA! I have been stalking RingDoll's site a lot lately and I just decided to order their new Ring Kid, Xi. I love her look so much. I love unusual dolls and she looks so mischievous. I would just like to know your opinions on her.

 

@KittyKittyClaudia I just ordered her in tan! I think she is adorable and am sad I can't find any owner pictures.

 

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to order her.... But I will in the future. I love her so much. I'd love to see owner photos of her as well....

 

I'm not sure how long it usually takes to get a doll from ringdoll but as soon as mine comes in I'll post a lot of pictures!

 

Oh yay!!! I can't wait! Plus I'd love to see her in the tan color!!!

 

Hi everyone! I've never bought a Ringdoll before but am just dying over the "Little Monk" Asian boy! He looks like a child Buddha, I just think he's amazing......even if all he ever did was sit on a pillow and added a sense of calm to my space.

I am a little worried though. I was looking on Mint on Card and they said that Ringdoll takes a longggggg time to fill orders. It actually says that 40 weeks is not unusual! On Denver Doll they aren't even taking any RD orders until they get caught up with their other orders. I don't want to wait that long I don't think I have the patience lol (maybe I need this baby Buddha after all)!

On the RD site it doesn't say anything like that. Have any of you ordered from them? How long did it take?

They also sell through EBay, which mentions a certain wait but nothing like 40 weeks! Anyone bought a RD through their EBay dealer?

Just trying to figure out the best place to order this little guy from, any experience you guys have will help!

Hi there! While I have not ordered from Ringdoll personally, I have seen folks state wait times like the one you described (upwards of 40 weeks). Xagadoll and Asleep Eidolon have similarly long waits, too.

But I have ordered via Mint on Card before, and I can say they are fantastic---always willing to answer questions, etc. If you order through them, they will be with you every step of the way. (I can say the same for Doll'sSinging on eBay, actually; Jeeryama is fantastic to work with.) Just be ready for a long wait.

I hope you're able to order your Little Monk! He's too cute.

Hi! So I haven't looked at this thread in a few years, but I just received a new wig for Corbin, my Valo, and he finally looks like the brat prince I imagined him as when I bought him; so I thought I'd share a couple of quick pics.

I'm so glad to see everyone else's Valo's too

@roni207 I didn't buy through Ebay, but I did buy through Mint on Card to be safe (I'm not sure how Ringdoll is doing at the moment, but when I ordered my boy, there was some worry about the company). I did have a very long wait, but as I was aware that that was probably what was going to happen, I didn't worry about it too much. From what I've seen, they're wait times are still really long. If the ebay seller has things in stock it might be that you can get something much faster, but ordering will probably still be a long wait time. Have you tried contacting the ebay seller and asking if they think their estimated wait time for Ringdoll is accurate?

 

I love my Xander (Valo w/mechanical arm) I bought his full set and trying to find another wig for him and some more clothes. His posability is absolutely amazing!. Your doll is absolutely handsome! I am having a problem finding a wig to fit him.

 

Thanks so much for the compliment! I had trouble finding a wig for mine too...I ended up going with a 6-7. You kind of have to just keep looking until you find a wig.

Ah, I don't think it will let you link it from tumblr because you have to link the image url directly. Flickr or Photobucket work much better for this.

Edit: Also, if you go to the FAQ section under "Help" here on DOA, scroll down to "Why is my image broken" They have a lot of information there for you

Not yet Did you past the whole big long thing? Or did you delete all of the extra. There should be a part that starts with "https and end with .jpg" That's all you need, minus the quotation marks. And I think the image has to be set to public.

 

Has anyone ordered their Chunyi boy yet (or has gotten him already by any chance)? I just bit the bullet and asked a dealer to order just his head (not overly fond of the bodies) because he'd be perfect as the counterpart to my Volks Ian

 

Hello! I just received my first ringdoll! Xi in tan skin! I was a little surprised that the tan wasn't as brown in tone like I'm used to with other companies but after playing with her for a bit I think it grew on me.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to pop in because I'm SO excited that I just received my Ringdoll body! I purchased their newer 40cm RKBody-4 and I LOVE it! Does anyone else in this thread also have it? It only took 2 months for it to get sent out to me too, I wasn't expecting such a quick turn around time! I admit I am also tempted by their boy version of this body now that I know how cute it is, but that will probably wait for awhile.

 

I recently received my kid Xi who is also on this body. I like it but I realllly wish there was a torso joint.

 

Does anyone have a Ringdoll Jade yet? I'm kinda curious about her and I find her sculpt very cute, but wanted to see how other people liked her if that's ok

 

I just saw the Ringdoll Julia 1/4 announcement and am in LOVE! While the sale is definitely short term, can anyone give me insight if she would be a limited sculpt, or something they will probably carry for the long term? I'm not familiar with Ringdoll.

 

I'm in love with Alfonso! I can't believe he is an MSD, he looks gorgeous. I can't wait to see his irl photo.

 

First image of Alfanzo has been posted by RD. He looks different than I thought he would based on the art, but I think he certainly matches the character described in the lore. Also, I didn’t expect him to be gray! And his feet, they are high heels. Two toned eyes are an interesting touch. Or is that a trick of the lighting?

They also said they are included a cute gift if he’s purchased on Halloween.

 

I purchased him literally as soon as he went up for sale. I sent a confirmation email and asked if I was in the top 10 and qualified for the clear wings.

Edit: They confirmed my order very quickly and confirmed I’m receiving the transparent wings as a gift.

 

I ordered Alfanso, too. Don't know if I'm in the top ten, though. Didn't think to ask.
He'll make a good companion for Jade, I think. It was not in my plans to order another Ringdoll before getting Jade, but how could I resist such a cute guy?!

I know what you mean, I had planned for my Sol I purchased recently to be my last doll purchase of the year, but Alfanzo is just too awesome. Not to mention he’s so limited.

 

Yes, the limited availability clinched it, lol. I was determined not to get him, but he was too powerfully lovely. Plus, grey skin? A dragon wing? His aesthetics are just too on point.

I've steeled myself now, though. Unless Merlin gets released in a mini version (my only caveat), no more until after I get my two little ones!

I'm very between a couple of sculpts right now and Julia's 44cm sculpt is in the running. But can anyone tell me how easy it is to find clothes for the 44cm girl body/where you bought your doll's clothing? I know their proportions are really similar to Minifees but they're just a bit bigger so they can't fit the Minifee clothes I already own.

 

I have a Jade-B on layaway! She's currently being reserved for me until RingDoll announces their Christmas event, at which point I'll start my layaway.

I've never really looked much at RingDoll before, but I couldn't pass this cutie up. Jiang Shi are just adorable and I fell in love with her little face. I'm hoping her faceup and resin quality are up to par with my expectations. Here comes a long doll wait!

 

Congrats, I have the grown and teen dolls and have always been pleased with both resin quality and default faceups.

 

@NekoNyanMew same here! I missed out on her first version and glad she have a second version. I ordered her as soon as she was available. There are some owner pictures of her now on FB and Instagram and they look great!

 

I totally missed out on her first version, as well! I think I like the second one just as much, if not more. What resin color did you get her in? I can't wait until both of our girls are here!

 

I like her 2nd version as well! The only thing I will change would be the wig (I'm not a gray fan) and the dots on her cheek but those are easy to change. I was in between white and normal and ordered her in white since the promo pictures look great. What color did you order her in?

Just had the heart breaking news that the dealer I bought my Jade full set through has sold her instead of shipping her to me. Not really sure what to do since she was so limited, I'm pretty upset.

 

@Scoops Oh no I am so sorry! What an absolutely shitty business practice! How are they intending to fix that for you? (and may I know the dealers name? I'd like to steer very clear of them)

 

@Roterwolkenvogel They've refunded me and said they'll send me the gift head that would have come with my order, but there isn't much else they can do. The person who bought the 'in stock' doll doesn't want to return it and Ringdoll won't make any more sets. It was Angelesque, I'm very disappointed since I've had good transactions and communication with them until now.

 

@Scoops that's shocking to hear, I only had good dealings with Angelesque as well so this is a real "what"-case /hugs

 

Greeting, I just order a ringkid last december so she will took... quite sometime to come to me.

I just wondering what wig and eyes size that fit the ringkid well, so I could have a look and prepare before my girl come.

Any advice would be appreciate.

 

14mm or 16mm eyes and 7-8 wigs I have fit Jade. I'm not sure if other Ringdoll kid have the same head size but I think 7-8 should be fine if the wigs have a stretchy cap. Hope that helps!

Hello fellow cool kids! I'm happy to announce that my Ringdoll Yumeo arrived today after several hours of panicking when the delivery company scanned him delivered seven hours prior to his actual arrival.



Now, a question for anyone who owns a lovely Ringdoll Mini Gentleman, where are your favorite places to buy pants? I have discovered that very few of the pants I own that are not already worn by someone fit him and the ones I planned were right out. I'm hoping to find something in a light color that would go well with his hakama or red, but we'll see what I can find.

 

@Magnus Vale He's so cute! Congratulation with your new doll. I never have a boy mini of ringdoll but my girl don't have any problem wearing MDD size cloths ... Her fashion is mainly on skirt though

I'll check if she could fit any of pants I have today after work.

 

Does anyone happen to own a RD doll from a few years ago in white skin? Really curious how white skin will look like once it yellows.

 

not sure if you still wanted the Jade Fullset since this post seems to be from awhile ago, but I think they still have one in stock on BJDivas. That's how i managed to get mine despite missing her initial run.

 

how well do ringdoll minis pose/how good are their fullsets?

I am ridiculously tempted by their new doll Pu'er. I'd hope to just get the clothes+wig and put them on another doll if I can find a way, but if the only way to get the whole deal is to also get the doll, I just might do it... but I also vaguely remember seeing somewhere that there could be fit issues with ringdoll clothes?

 

Each of Ringdoll's sized dolls has pretty average posing ability from their 1/3rd to 1/4th sizes with it being a little more restrictive when it gets down to their 1/6th and smaller sizes. But I also haven't experimented with more dynamic posing. As for how their fullsets are, I've been impressed by the quality of them but as you mentioned they can be a bit of a tight fit sometimes. I've never not been able to get the whole thing on but they're definitely a bit of a struggle when it comes to slip on shoes or tight belts/shirts. I've also tried to put some of my Ringdoll fullset outfits on other dolls but since they're really designed for Ringdoll bodies they usually don't fit quite right, if at all on some of my other dolls. I have had better luck with fullsets designed for their male dolls fitting other bodies than fullsets for their female dolls though.
