Ringdoll Mini Discussion

Got mine the quality is surprising, he is one of the nicest doll's I own. I'm quite surprised.
His resin has a silky quality to it I've never experienced before in my other boys and he had absolutly no seam lines, he's sturdy and solid and poses like a dream.
I own a Shiny doll Thaasa that every says is one of the best at poseing but this little guy beats even her, his limbs stay exactly where you put them and he can stand on legged with alittle practice.
He is every bit as delicate and slender as he looks on the Ringdoll site there is no deception, he's just a delightfull little doll.

 

Does anyone know what eye size they take?? I looked on the website and cannot find any info.

 

I think mine has 12mm eye's in, however I find them too large for my tastes and will be moving down to 10mm possibly smaller, the 12mm fill's almost the entire eye and makes him look spacey.

 

Thank you so much for this advice, I wasn't sure. So I just ordered 10 mm eyes because of your comment. XD Did you try 10 mm eyes in him yet, and does it really make a difference?

 

my Dylan's head is TEENY! his head cap is a very small part of his head.

mine is wearing a tinybear MSD wig that I had to cut about 6mm off the middle and re-sew it and it's still kinda loose.
I'm not sure about other wigs but I would say small MSD wigs should be ok, or just buy a wig from the ringdoll site when you order if you want to makesure it fits straight off ^.^;;

 

En is very lovely, Akimisawa! Hmmm I like my boys girly so I'd rather have him on the boy body.
If the 7/8 wigs are too big I wonder if a 6/7 would work? Or do they have a funny in between size?

My boy has a 6-7 wig, and it fits great. 7-8 is definitely WAY too big.

 

This forum is kinda quiet but will my two cents worth. Just received my Dylan and he is wonderful! Poses great and the quality of the resin is good too. Not unhappy with him at all. Now just need to do his face up and have fun getting him some clothes. Will post a pic of him when I get him done.

 

My Dylan is home!! However part of his full set outfit is missing so I had to contact DDE about it. I only have his kimono and 2 belts and I know I am missing the white undershirt and white shorts and white foot coverings. He told me his name and I have the proper eyes and wig for him, but for now he is grumpy about being half dressed

My Dylan wears 12mm like the ones pictured, he did come with 14mm and they were too big, can't wait to see your Dylan girl!

Vague- He is the old Normal Yellow skin that was discontinued it has a unique smell to it like oranges to me that is.

Thanks you very much for your helpful advice. I have just had a meeting with Design Team and Product Team about the eyes issue you mentioned. Customers will never meet such eyes-unfit problem when they get Ringdoll's new 43cm doll (and any other size dolls). For the old 43cm dolls, just Dylan's eye wells is a little small -- that because he is my first kid to create in June 2009. I am sorry to bother you and your customers like that, and later I will do some little change on the head.

Thought I'd share.

 

scrollbrush- No is outfit is from Dollmore MSD size and his eyes are 12mm from Leekeworld glass type. I wish I could sew it would help my bank account that's for sure

 

sewing is super easy, JUST DO IT, you'll get better as you go allong, just don't loose your temper with the fiddly bits and keep trying, even rubbish clothes can be fun to photo ^o^ and they mean so much more when it's stuff you make yourself.

Normally I make all my dolls clothes but by Ringdoll came with a free Kimono and I just don't want to take it off him.

mmhhh and as for eye's my Dylan is wearing 12mm ones but I feel even they are too large for my tastes I shall be buying 10mm eyeco's as they have smaller iruses and larger whites. but they will allso cost $50 so I haven't bought any yet ^.^;;;

 

Does anyone know if Ringdoll will release the MSD mechanical arm part of Valo in march?

 

Ringdoll is a new brand which is created by Ron Fletcher from USA and the most famous BJD designer Huang Shan from China. Huang Shan as one of the most famous COSER in Asia has joined Ringdoll since 2009 and before that he was the Chief Designer from Doll-Zone company. 70% of DZ dolls were created by Huang Shan's hands and most of them are popular around the world.
Now, RD brand has three Designers(two from China and one from Japan) and we will create many new type of dolls besides BJD and Pullip doll in the future. The accessories of dolls will be developed as well.
63cm famale RD is coming in Mar and 75cm male RD is coming in April.

I absolutely looooove the Ringdoll posability! Thinking about getting more RD msds in the future.

 

Can anyone please tell me, will 7 cm foot length Dollmore shoes be ok for Ringdoll MSD? I'm gonna order the boots soon and the question of proper size rly bothers me..

All the MSD size shoes I have are too big on him for me. I was told Leekeworld has some that will fit but the prices will cause heart failure!

I think the question/thread has come up before *would someone please direct me to said thread...?* of whether or not the Ringdolls are french resin, Environmental resin, or of similar resin used by BlueBloodDolls by Medusa? I've been bouncing between their Rebecca vs. Kyo, but I promised myself I wouldn't get myself a doll until I find Amun...

 

I'm realy liking the posing that these dollfies can do so l'm thinking that one of them will be my 2 dollfie. Can anyone tell me what size of clothing that fits them the best also what shoes will fit as well.

 

My Dylan wears MSD clothes from Dollmore, but I don't have shoes for him yet since he likes to stay barefoot, but I suppose he can wear MSD size shoes too. My Dylan is also the older skin tone so he more on the yellow orange color instead of the newer real skin pink shade that the company now uses.

 

Hi! (This is my first post! Yay! ) Okay, to get to my question. I have also fallen in love with the Ringdoll kid Rebecca and I was wondering if the "shoe issue" was solvable by switching her feet with regular msd sized feet. Now would that look too weird? Has anyone ever done this? And where would I find feet to match the white resin I want her in? Would it even be worth it? I checked out the shoes at leekeworld and compaired them to her foot measurements from Sakura Den, and the leekeworld shoes are 1 mm smaller than her feet. Would this make a huge difference? Does anyone "know" that leekeworld shoes fit? I do know however that doll-zone shoes fit them, but so far that seems to be it besides ringdoll shoes themselves... Anyone have answers? Or even more questions?

 

Oh goodness, I'm back. I still badly want one of these dolls, but I don't know which one anymore. I'm now terrified of environmental resin because of it's "green" properties, but these dolls are just so beautiful. Valo is love. Dylan, too.

I got my RD Kid Kyo, Erath in the mail yesterday and today his wig came in! I got him a wig from Monstro Designs on Etsy.
I need to velcro it, or perhaps a dab of glue... it's kinda everywhere and slides about. But he looks adorable in it!
Sleepy Erath hates the camera in face.

I don't like his eyes very much, I think they are 12s or 14s and they are much too large for my tastes.

 

RingKids look better with 8-10 mm (in case you want more realistic gaze for him). I ordered my Kyo 10 mm glass eyes, if I find 8mm of the color I need, it'd be great too =)) (tried 8mm acrylic , it's really ok for Kyo)

"Green" as in more environmentally friendly materials. Which it is, but I just as quickly heard that this is a kind of resin that doesn't yellow or green, it outright decomposes, like biodegradable plastic. I was heartbroken to hear that, since I like Ringdoll and Impldoll very much, and both use this kind of resin.

Only just yesterday was it pointed out that that's simply not true. It's not biodegradable in it's friendliness, it's actually non-toxic , unlike polyurethane and french resin. So, my wish list is now being completely re-hauled to include the Impl and Ringdoll kids I've really liked, and I'm happy.


EDIT;Synthetic - I can see your Kyo just fine in those shots, and can also see what you mean. I think he looks good in the 10MM, myself.

Doesn't Dylan and his little eyes have the same sizing quips?

 

Synthetic ~ Thanks! Those look neat, though I'm not sure if it's the look I'm after either! *laughs* I'm apparently confused. Right now he's got a set of giant 16s in and I think they give him a really weird look, but I'm not disliking it. I might get a set of 12s though, just gotta pick some out.

Ellanie- Ooooooh neat~ I wasn't sure. ^^; I had heard they didn't yellow or green as badly, but sometimes my memory play tricks on me.

 

EmilyLee - That's really why I've come back. I want a tallish, lanky boy that poses like a dream to be my Raven, and Dylan looks like him to a tee!

 

hi Ellanie, please allow me to share you my collection about Ringdoll En ^^

 

When I first found Ringdoll, I really loved the En, but I'm glad I got my Kyo, I think the En would be much too sweet looking to be my Erath!
Went out and got the velcro for the wig today and carried Erath around Joann's, got a couple looks but no one said anything. :p It amused me greatly.

 

Oh yeah, Ringdoll reps aren't permitted on DoA.

I actually really think En is adorable in that shot either way. Maybe I should get En. He looks much sweeter, and that's really what I need.

I finally finished my boy's face-up! (it's very very light, but I wanted something tender and natural . btw, my first face-up ever :p)

 

Perhaps it's because my only was a RS yo-sd size before I got my Kyo that he seems so big to me. *L*

Synthetic- It's very light and cute. He looks good in that white wig.

 

He looks great! He looks so gentle and soft with all the pale details. It really works.

I got him a pair of the Guessdoll MSD sneakers from DenverDoll, they are a bit loose but they fit pretty well and he stands like a rock in them. Of course he stands like a rock anyway.
