XD Nah, Delwyn is all about the boobs and Erath doesn't have any! Erath isn't really into girls either, he's been around way too many strong willed women to like them. Del is an Island Doll Wallis~ And she's wicked evil.

Mon2x~ That's funny because originally I wanted the En! I decided against him because Erath needed a sleepy expression. But En was the doll that kept me going back to Ringdoll. Funny how things work, isn't it?
Your boy is just beautiful though, I really think he's lovely.

Has anyone had any luck finding shoes that fit?? So far the only pair I have are for girls and my Dylan won't wear girl shoes.

 

I got a pair of hi-top sneakers from DDE and they really... they are just weirdly big. It makes Erath look like he has clown feet. :/ Our boys and girls just have tiny feet...
Also~ Erath stole back the pink dress since there's no way it's going to fit Del's bootylicious self~ So he demanded a photoshoot.

I ordered a couple of new wigs for my Valo last week during Leekeworld's no-shipping-fee day. I think he's awfully handsome in his blond wig, but it's a size too big for him, and not really the look I was going for. So we'll see, he will probably be getting a new look soon. Until then:



Also, he finally told me his name is Eric. Finally! It took him THREE MONTHS! (He's also full of himself, but I knew that as soon as he came out of the box.)

I really love that mechanical arm, how well does it hold a pose? I was thinking about getting one for my Dylan, but I think he would slap me with it if I did.

 

When you bend the wrist, the mechanical arm hand can't go as far as the regular hand... you can't get as much of an angle, if that makes sense. It's disappointing, since hand gestures can convey so much personality. I've also noticed the silver is making some discoloration on the normal-color skin at the elbow joint, where the arm and ball joint connect. This might come off easily with a magic eraser, but I don't know, I haven't tried.

It's still super cool, though. He's three times cooler with a cyborg arm!

I have a Valo with the mecha arm, too, and the stains that the silver makes on the normal skin do come off with a Mr. Clean Magic Easer. I don't know if it's just my boy, but I noticed the mecha arm doesn't... connect with the human part very well. It's hard to keep it straight. The paint on my boy's arm is already chipping after two months. Mostly around the wrist ball joint, though, which doesn't surprise me.

And that's my two cents on that.

 

Anyone know where I can see some pics of the ringdoll kid boy body next to any other types of msds (girl bodies)

I'm contemplating modding one into an immature girl, lol but need to know size comparisons : D

hello folks! quick questions.... if you dont mind of course. im planning on ordering a RD Kyo and was wondering which size eyes and wig work best? as ive read a few different things on here im kind of confused o.O lol

RingDoll Kid's have a strange head shape. Really strange. My Kyo is currently wearing a 7/8 Dollzone wig and it fits him nicely. But he can also wear a 6/7 Monique wig! The Monique one doesn't have bangs though and makes his forehead look huge. Now technically he should be wearing a 6/7, but I think I like him better in 7/8.
As for eyes. Mine is currently wearing a pair of 14s, as you can see from some of my other posts in this, because of his squinty little tiny eyes they take up most of the eye with color. I might bump him down to 12s but I'm not sure. I think he'd look best with perhaps the silicone odd sizes of Eyeco. (but I only like the pricey fantasy colors and with my recent oral surgery can't afford them~ wow.) Either way, most of the RingDoll Kids seem to take from 12 to 14, it's really a personal choice.

hi, i have a ringdoll Lily and i'm having an absolutely terrible time finding clothes that will fit her. does anyone know of any companies that might fit her?

 

What do you use as eye putty for ringdolls? I want to use blue-tac but i'm not sure if it will have a reaction with their resin ^^; does anyone here use them on their dolls?

 

The blue tac is awful if you leave it in for too long, I wouldn't recommend using it >< I had it in my B&G baby and I couldn't get it completely out of her head when I took her eyes out My ringdoll came with a block of eye putty, and it works perfecly fine, so I'd just use that.

 

I took a few more snaps of Tanas today, so I thought I'd share them~ ^.^ I'm amazed how different your boy looks, mon2x..! Oh, and I use silicone earplugs in my guys. They aren't especially firm, but they seem to be safe for the dollies.

Sanctioned: Yea, I still use ringdoll's putty, I'm just thinking ahead for when I've used up all the eye putty on what to replace it with Maybe I could still use blu-tac but take the eyes off whenever I'm not "using" Kael? ^^; but yeah, since I do still have RD's eye putty, I'll still use that :3

Statuess: Thanks, I'll try to look for silicone ear plugs and try it out and Your boy is so cute~! I love that hair and that skin tone is really lovely~ How does the Normal skin appear in person? Does it look similar to the pictures of kyo or is it darker/lighter? I also wanted to get Kael in normal skin, but I was afraid I wouldn't like the shade when he came~ so I just selected the white skin like in the pictures~ But I also like him now as he is

I'm thinking about getting A Ringdoll Wagashi style-B as my first Bjd.
But Ringdoll doesn't send the dolls with their eyes already installed. D:
But, is it hard to put in their eyes or no?

Wagashi is a Ring Teen and this discussion thread is aimed at the Ring Kids, but I highly doubt that setting eyes in Wagashi would be too difficult. You could probably send RingDoll an email and ask them if they would be willing to set the eyes for you, if you wanted.

 

Yeah, I knew that, but you all looked like good people with the info to help me.
I've thought about emailing them.
I'm just scared to accedently break the eye or something.

I really highly doubt you'll break the eyes. If it's glass, you'd have to throw it against the ground purposely. Acrylic eyes won't be that fragile either. You won't break the eye just setting it inside of the head unless you're as gentle as an extremely furious Hulk.

Don't be scared, It's really easy to put them on your dolly, yourself~ And I swear, the eyes won't break easily~

 

Polaris, My WS female Kyo arrived~!
RD changed their resin, I wonder if this is still environment friendly~ It's no longer "Opaque" and the doll itself i think is more detailed, like the nails and palm creases are more defined. The "skin" sort of feels a bit chalky/grainy for me, and it feels like the fingers will break easier. and also, I find her a bit tightly strung opposed to Kael,(WS En) Is there a way I can repair this without removing all of her parts/restringing her whole body?

 

It's funny you should mention the fingers breaking, mon2x. I got a NS Kyo boy for Christmas. He's gorgeous, but somehow one of his fingers snapped off. I don't know if he was sold to us that way or if I handled him too roughly somehow, but I'd advise anyone with a new doll to be very careful with the hands.

 

i'm not sure if i should sell Kai, but i have been thinking about it for 4 months now? yet looking at some pictures i have taken yesterday i think i have changed my mind??? i know i'm totally in love with Yuki, but i was slightly disapointed with Kai because he did not looking like the offical pictures. yet this might be me just being picky.. also his eyes are such a pain in the bum because some 12mm are still slightly to big... grrr...



in this picture you can see his eyes do not fit .... Grr...

 

goldendiamonds, I have found that 10mm eyes actually fit RingKids much better, and look much more realistic. I do have to say, though. Your dolls look gorgeous!

 

thank you Redfaery, i think 12mm eyes are ok in Yuki, yet they do not really fit Kai very well. i might try 10mm eyes on him and see what fits better

 

Redfaery: Yeah, When I got Polaris, I was a bit disappointed about the resin, since I loved Kael's resin ^^; but I like how detailed the hands are.. I just have to be really really gentle with her hands ^^;;

Well...I don't know how my Kyo's hand broke, but the people at Ringdoll are being very nice about getting me a new hand for him.

Not really. He was a Christmas gift, and at some point, his finger snapped off. Maybe in the doll store, maybe when he was being bundled back into his box, maybe even when I was posing him....in any case, he looks really cute with my Rebecca. They're an adorable couple.

 

Heres my RD kyo with 10mm eyes~ They look really nice on him. The 12mm's pupil took up most of the eyes and there was hardly any white xD.

i wanted to buy Valo or Kyo for my Yuki but in the end i bought Kai yet i am not as in love with him as i was in love with the offical Style A pictures. I might buy a Valo next yet i am mostly into my girl dolls at the moment

I also was going to buy Lily yet she is sold out now (tear)
I am soo love the new teenagers like Wagashi-StyleC, limited Judges and Jessica. I so want to start buying larger dolls yet i am still put off about their size.

I have both a Kyo and a Rebecca. I must say they do make a cute couple. At least, that's what I think. They are both beautiful dolls in different ways, and I think they go great together!

 

My RD En just had his 100th day with me~

 

I think I've said this before, but I'm getting a Kid Kyo (My sister now wants to get a Rebecca, lol) and I would like to knit a few simple hats for him, but need a few measurements, namely around his head (with wig on) and from the crown of his head to just below his ear. If anyone could give me the measurements (and sorry if this is the wrong place to ask xP) I would be eternally grateful, in inches or cms, and here or over PM would be fine. Thank you.

 

MoC says that the measurements are 18cm for a Kyo head but his head is really tiny and I don't think thats the correct measurement since 7/8 wigs are wayyyyy too big for him. If anything he's a 6/7 sized head but I'm not exactly sure what the measurements are for that though. I would believe he's about 17cm since the wigs under littlefee/yosd fit him perfectly ^^;

 

Mmm, I'll do it for 18cm and that might give some leeway for the wig, thanks. :3

Phoenix- my En has a 7-8 wig which fits perfectly, but the gold-brown fur wig that looks better on him is 1/4 size and is very loose ^^;

 

Great, thank you. ^^ Another question, what size eye looks good on him? I read back a bit and saw that some of the Ring kids look better with a different eye size that standard for them, and I was wondering if that was true for En.

I'm thinking I may put one on layaway when I place my order for Sol, depending on MoC's policy. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I ended up putting En on layaway, I couldn't help it. So I'm going to try to be very frugal in the near future so I can pay it off asap.

I'm new here in this thread. I got home Ringdoll's Dylan with free faceupp.It was just horrible so I had to wash it away.The resin on the head is a bit darker than the body, even after I sanded it. He was meant to be a girl, so I sanded down his nose a bit.I love the body, it poses absolutely wonderful.
Now I have a wonderful girl on the Ring Dolls girl body.
