Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #7

Ringdoll need to stop. I already ordered 3 dolls this year from them. My wallet can't handle anymore abuse

 

His are Ringdoll hands, but not available rn.
I have Doll Legend hands on some of my other dolls, but their tan is translucent so you have to blush them, they fit well and other colors are not translucent. Dika doll jointed hands work too but are chunky. @VampireAngel13 has some Soom hands that look good but not sure what size body she used them on.
The ring with the stone is from BJDouterie on etsy.

 

Ah, thanks for the info! I’m hoping Ringdoll does another batch of their hands. I’ll look into the Doll Legend and Soom hands.

Ringdoll just posted more teaser images of Sigrdrifa! I'm liking her profile and black hair is my weakness. My wallet is ready!

 

I've not really seen a grown boy that I like as much as I do Carlos, but I know that when I do, I will have a hard time saying no because Ringdoll is such a weakness for me.

 

I'm sure this has been asked before somewhere, but does someone know if SD17 clothes fit a Ringdoll grown male body? I'm looking for a shirt for a RGM4-body. I compared some of the measurements I could find, but can't say for sure.

 

I recently posted some pics of my RGM1 body Sol wearing a Volks SD17 tailored suit a page back. It fit very well if not just a tad short. I reckon since the RGM4 is shorter it should fit SD 17 clothes even better.

 

@HenshinCyborg Nice! Thank you! ^_^ I wish Ringdoll made more clothes for their dolls, they have amazing full sets, but sometimes you just want to buy a simple white collar shirt or basic pants separately.

 

Lol, that’s true @Saapas. I love Ringdolls clothes but most is a bit eclectic or costumey for those who want to dress down once in a while. I’ve found most clothes labeled as SD17 or just 70cm fit pretty well. Things like white button up shirts tend to be a bit tight on RGM body 3 since it’s the beefiest, but I’ve had no issues with RGM-1. Looking at the measurements of RGM-4 though, that body should have no issues with SD17 sized clothing at all.

 

Ringdoll just published concept art for a grown (fantasy) version of Hui on instagram and it's everything! I ordered the Teen version earlier this year and I'm scared of how much I'll love it because I really don't have space for any new resin!

 

Ooh, I really like Hui so I would definitely be up for a grown version of him! I hope he turns out amazing! His design looks nice so far. Ringdoll really is rolling out the new dolls. I'm sorry, wallet!

Ringdoll shared videos of the scene making for Sigrdrifa! I am looking forward to seeing her face reveal. I was really hyped for her at first, but now I feel more excited for the new Hui! Please grow up nicely!

 

My only issue with the Ring grown Girls are the boobs. X'D They really do look a tad too unrealistic for me personally. But likewise, cant wait till they reveal the face.

 

I’m also not the hugest fan of the corset boobs on that body, but I just have an extra chest piece from another do I’ll see if I can mod to work on that body. I think she might end up being close to perfect for a character of mine...

 

If the 4 types of grown men bodies are anything to go by, we just might get a nice reworking of the femme bods in the future! I'm not too pessimistic about it, even if it might take many years Or I could just get the head?

 

A reworking would be amazing. In a perfect world, they could even make a more athletic version of the body, cause we know they can sculpt muscles from their boys! But now I’m just dreaming.

 

More teasers for grown Hui have already been released! He's on the RGMbody-4. Luckily I don't have that body yet. I did not expect to see him so quickly.

 

Agreed, they are cranking out these dolls faster and faster it seems lately!
I love his look so far, always been a sucker for black leather.

 

!!!!??? They put a preview for Lan Wangji up on Instagram! Wow, that was fast...the Wei Wuxian event just ended! Man I hope Ringdoll's added some extra staff or something because they seem to be getting very ambitious as of late....

 

I’ve had that same concern for a while now.
They are getting pretty ambitious for a company with a small staff. Their delivery time seem to be taking longer lately I hear.

 

I love seeing all the new dolls they're creating, but really hoping that this doesn't delay previous releases...

 

I ordered hands.. some werewolf hands that will serve has hands for dragon Lysander. Buy the ordering time estimate through the dealer is 4 months for just hands. :O oh well. I'll wait.

On another note. The previews for the Lab Wangji outfit are pretty. I wanted both him and Wei Wuxian but I have no money. Is anyone getting both? :O

 

I haven't waited over a year for my previous doll from them. I got him in November and I ordered him in March. But apparently for just the hands that aren't painted it's already four months. :O I wish I had unlimited space and money though because I'd really like more dolls from them haha. XD

 

That's odd, I ordered my Merlin in April and already got him a little less than three months later in July! I was actually surprised how fast they were since I expected longer waiting times from what I've heard about Ringdoll! But I also have an open wig order from September that still hasn't shipped. I really wonder in which order they work, sometimes seems to be a little random... ?

 

I ordered a separate body and separate head.. and the mechanical arm. Maybe it's based on how difficult or large the order is? XD who knows?

 

Ash and Evz birthday is today, (edit: I've had Ash for 5 years). I gave them bamboo practice swords since they liked the light sabers so much. I took a few photos and hope I can make a short photostory of it.

@SteamWitch how do you find the jointed hands? I was thinking about getting a pair for my Sol.

 

Those are the Ringdoll jointed hands that were available though limited for a short period. Hopefully they will open orders for them again someday soon, I'd like some more of them. Soom, Dikadoll and Doll Legend jointed hands are good but don't match the tan.

Yeah, I don't recall Ringdoll ever releasing so many dolls in such a short period of time. @_@ I can only hope it means they've expanded as a company and not that they're biting off more than they can chew....

They say the new doll is the Caterpillar, so he must be an addition to their Alice in Wonderland line. None of them have really grabbed me yet and this guy's no different, though I do like his design. Reminds me of a Gothic Lolita take on Noiz from Dramatical Murder, lmao.

I don't like that new design. XD they've posted write a lot of previews but not all of them are out on the site yet for sale. So maybe they just release them slower than they design them? :P

Yeah, most of the teasers they've posted lately have been design drawings, so hopefully that means they're making the dolls at a more reasonable pace. But I was so surprised to see them apparently already pretty far along on Lan Wangji, even posting actual photos of his clothes and stuff. @_@

LOL, yes my wallet is happy. I'd like the wig to replace the 'adequate' wig Ash wears, though my dream wig would be a dark brown version of the Judge of Hell's wig. It is gorgeous and so well behaved.

 

I think they must have finished Lan Wangji already. I really want to see pictures of the two together. XD If I only had the money haha. Two dolls is such a huge investment. I wonder whether there are people who get them both. Since they both have limited ordering periods and all that. :O

I always think there is no way people will order more than one expensive full set at a time, then I see FLs waiting room and I'm proven wrong. Someone out there might do both! Who knows. I think I'm going to go for the current action figure myself (teeny John needs a mortal enemy) so no dolls.

And hello there. I have not been getting updates on this thread and then I did. I missed a lot.

 

Oh yeah, that's probably true. I thought they would give more time between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, give people more time to save up, but I guess there are probably lots of people who wouldn't mind throwing that much money at two dolls at once, especially if they're of two very popular characters. Actually, now that I think about it, Ringdoll has released their previous licensed dolls as pairs before - Eren and Levi, Ciel and Sebastian. I wonder if they intended to release Wangji at the same time as Wuxian but got held up by something?

Wonder if they'll keep making Mo Dao Zu Shi dolls besides these two. I'd be very curious to see their take on Jiang Cheng.

 

Ah, I really like Sigrdrifa... I'm going to have to think about her.

 

I'm on the fence with Lan Wangji but I will sure buy his weapon when it come out. Hopefully it come out before my Wei Wuxian ship so I can add it to my order to save shipping. Speaking of which, Wei sword is on the website in case anyone haven't checked it yet.

 

I saw his sword. It looks nice. Not going to get it though because still pricy. Will you just get the zither then and not Lab Wangji? When you get Wei Wuxian please post pictures!!!

 

Aww I was hoping Sigrdrifa would be fiercer in the face as they've shown in the sketches. Also the chances of them selling just the LE head is low so it's unlikely I'll be getting her.

 

I think Sigrdrifa is very pretty, love the face and hair, I’m a sucker for anything dark and vampire related.
My only gripe with this doll, and maybe it’s because I’m a shoe and boot enthusiast, both for my dolls and myself, but I feel like the lower half of her is a bit lackluster. I was really looking forward to seeing the boot and thigh armor seen in the illustration, and I may have forgiven the exclusion of it if she had some actual thigh high boots. But it looks like they gave her a sort of leather leg sleeve that fits over a short boot. I feel like I’m sounding like Michelle Visage from Drag Race, but personally for me the lower half of her costume seems like an afterthought compared to the top.
Oh well, boots can be changed and I suppose I could just sculpt/mold/cast leg armor myself.

The coolest thing about RD to me is the armor and accessories they give their dolls, like the red king, frankenstein and the judge. I expected differences from the sketch, but not them removing the whole leg armor??

Its okay with me, Im looking forward to their Vampire Hunter D release, I love the teaser posted last year so I hope we hear something soon

Does anyone know what that blue thing is? It looks light, so Im guessing it is foam?
