Wow! I love that suit! The quality is impeccable, your Meng has great taste! Is this suit stock or is it a custom? The pinstripes are so fine and shiny.

 

@Quiet and Insane They indeed do! I'm actually intending to get the White King's suit that they just released, I think Meng would wear it well. If I'm not careful I might end up starting a mini suit collection...lol.

@HenshinCyborg The suit is from Taobao seller Doll Solo, and it was custom sized so it fits like a dream. I do love the quality of it - it's made of real suit material and the tie actually ties, it isn't velcro. Which is surprisingly hard to find for BJD suits. Meng usually wears an army uniform; three-piece suits are his idea of casual wear. XD

Men in suits always look great. You can't go wrong with having too many in a collection.

 

Ha ha, luckily I have pretty picky tastes in suits, so that should keep me from going overboard with buying them. That White King suit, tho....

These guys and their suits...
Just thought I'd pop in and say "hi". I've been lurking for a while and decided to (finally) pounce on ordering an Ashford-Evo for my Sesshomaru. It's taken 13+ years for me to find a sculpt that would be just right for him, IMO. These sculpts are all just gorgeous. Seeing all those LDoll photos on Instagram also didn't help... as did the Halloween sale event.

Since it'll be a while, I'll go back to semi-lurk mode now.

 

Congrats @DemonMiko Oh! He will make a grand Sesshomaru.

 

@DemonMiko congrats! And welcome to the Ringdoll family. Seems Ashford's had that effect on a lot of people (I should know, I'm one of them ).

 

Thank you @bickazer and @SteamWitch! One of the local collectors have one of the Zombie guys and so I got really curious about the other sculpts available and couldn't drop the idea of getting Ashford. So much for self-imposed doll limits for the year...

 

Yay, Nimbus got a new hairdo. I like the purple much better and all those curls! What more could a clown want!

I think he looks better in it than my tan Dracula due to the white vampy skin.

 

Speaking of my Dracula, I found this pic I took when I first got him. This was a couple months before my Sol ended up with this Norman 1.0 wig. Had a sort of Onmyoji/priest thing going on.

His sculpt is definitely my fav among the current “modern” RD sculpts. And he does look great in tan, the only one I’ve seen so far.
Funny story about him, I initially bought him because he came with a one of a kind coat I absolutely had to have, plus the Dracula outfit and other accessories. I planned to keep those items and sell him and put those funds towards a white Dracula. But after boxing him up I found myself getting emotional about parting with him and decided to give him a second look. I realized I had already started to bond with him and decided to keep him. Now I can’t imagine not having him haha!
With all the supernatural dolls in the family(Vampire white Sol, soon to arrive Alfanzo), I think it’s good to have one “human” in the group. A cousin Marilyn if you will(I hope you get the reference). XD

 

@HenshinCyborg Yeah, the contrast works really well for your Sol! Your Dracula looks great as well. Ringdoll really has too many good looking guys!

 

Indeed they do, and they just keep multiplying haha! I swear it seems like a new doll is released or rereleased monthly by them now.

 

@HenshinCyborg Oh, I know! There are so many tempting new releases. S is my favorite sculpt so far, so I am hoping to finally order him early next year! I might even get his full-set since his outfit is too gorgeous.

While I wait on Ashford EVO and resisting ordering Rinku, I want to ask some questions that I've been having difficulty finding answers for:
1. Do the Ringdoll Grown fit into Super Senior Delf clothes? From the looks of it, these guys are lots taller and skinnier than my Volks SD17 or the smaller old CP Delf boys.
2. Does anyone have a more recent comparison of Ringdoll regular and wheat colors? I haven't really seen anything except for that one picture of headcaps together. It's not very helpful.

 

@DemonMiko Sorry I can't help with the resin comparison question, but I have some SSDF sized clothing and it fits my Ring Grown boys just fine. Granted, they're on the RMG-02 body; I don't know if the clothes would fit as well on the 03 body, which seems to be a little bulkier.

My mum recently told me she bought me a Volks x Element H suit set as a gift for my dolls. I’ll be trying it on my guys(rgbody 1 and rgbody 3)when I go to visit her this Christmas as I’ll be bringing them with me. I’ll let you know how it fits, it’s of the sd17 sizing I believe.

 

I do apologize in advance for invading the thread but I bring news of a new doll and photos for my buddies over in the shipping thread. (Don't want us getting in trouble for sticking around when the question has been answered) My mandarin is unused in over 15 year so this is as much as I understand lol.
Ringdoll is favoring the date 11.11 with massive amounts of micro events and giveaways.
The newest doll being released Wei Wuxian is highly anticipated and comes with an insane discount because of the event. Fullest is about $619 usd and event is about $573, and secret full set goodies are hinted as his sword and wine jug. I do not know the exact % off the discount is but this looks a nice time for new additions.
If 2 photos are not allowed let me know I will remove one. I don't talk much on the forums so rules idk sorry in advance, I really just wanted to share this with everyone since it's so hard for us westerners to get info on him vs the other releases he is available in all countries it's just hard info to come-by unless you speak mandarin.

About a month ago, I saw these two pictures taken earlier this summer at a Chinese shop. I believe they also had a give away for the dolls but maybe the post translated wrong.

I was hoping they'd release them in the future.

Is it just me or Wei Wuxian head from some of the promo pictures look sorta small compared to his neck? He look amazing still and I'm very much trying to find reasons not to get him.

 

Lan Wangji is next might be for January on his birthday along with Wei Wuxian rerelease. Idk I don't want Lan Wangji as much as i thought. I do favor Wuxian more. Those look very proto type-ish just goes to show how long he was working on this project. He did say he was working hard to get it perfectly. Maybe gave away a few of the first finished ones? I know 3 are being given away along with the tour of the Ringdoll studio. His Sword and wine jug will be free? O.O my

I tried that and failed 5 mins later lol I blame the kitty smile he has to cheerful.

 

Oh my they sure are handsome, and here I was still holding out for Dracula, these two new guys look so handsome!

I ordered the Wei Wuxian doll! Since they have a special 11/11 promo for reduced shipping, I'm trying to apply for it before paying for my order.

To get it, you have to email them. But I see they might not reply until Monday. I hope they see I ordered in time to get the promo.

 

If you generated an order number on today's date you should get the reduced shipping even if they read the email on Monday.

My heart has seen many many many dolls in the years I've been in the hobby, but Wei is by far the most perfect thing that exists out there for my pretty boy tastes. Every angle of his face, his little smile, every shape and degree of his face is just pulled straight out of my ideals. I don't know how they did it. On top of that he has my favorite hair style too, but I can thank the manhua for that

Super sad that I can;t order through BJDivas because I'm gonna need that layaway, but oh well. Ever since I joined the hobby like... 5 years ago I've always wanted a Ringdoll but never could fall for any of them enough. Super excited for my first! Congrats to everyone ordering him!

 

Well, I paid for him but I don't know if I did it right. Ringdoll emailed me back last night saying I put my order in too early but I can still get reduced shipping. They didn't say I had to redo my order, so I hope it works.

And I got the infamous "payment failed" message on their website, too.

So, I'll go join the waiting room and hope everything works out.

 

If you have the email, they will do what they say, @kitkat10. Yes, the payment failed message is a not so funny bug their website has, along with other frustrating non functioning parts like whether they have shipped. Still - Congrats!

 

I had placed my order for him way later so I assumed I would not get the reduced shipping and paid early. To my surprise I did qualify for it and they are telling me I can use the remaining money to purchase more goods. I don't really know what I would want though.

 

Everything they have is so cool, I'm sure you will find something. Their wigs and accessories are well made. I used my excess to put a deposit on my Ringtoy K.

I checked their website to see if they discounted the shipping for my order but they didn't. If they credit the account instead, I think I know what else I'll buy!!

Actually, through email they had said to link them the items I want at 10% off equal to under 100$. I suppose I could try asking to just receive a refund through paypal I'm not really sure.

 

@BlankLucky they don't like to do that because it costs them more to give you a refund than it does to give you a 10% discount but they will probably do it if you insist.

Any possibility anyone know if Ringdoll teenage head will look decent on the grown 3 body? Or would it be too weird? From the picture I seen the head look like they can be used but I wasn't sure if it's the picture that made it seem that way.
