I know the feel @IngieBee . unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering a BBB doll through DDE so I guess I'll just be waiting for her forever.

what a surprise this little lady turned up this morning with zero notice, she's so well made i can see myself falling into a deep dark resinsoul hole very fast lol.

 

Husband recently ordered via denver for a bbb. He wanted a bbb specifically. I think it was about a 6 month wait? like double the resinsoul wait.
but yeah.
Doll arrived fine though. Just a bit of a wait.

And one of the things I always liked about rs was the short wait lol.

 

She is so amazing! Did you paint and dress her? Or is resinsoul suddenly doing amazing faceup and clothes?

@purple_monkfish well next June 4 will be 6 months, so hopefully soon???

 

@IngieBee thank you i did the faceup and clothes, painting such a teeny head is so much harder then msd or sd dolls

My big box showed up!!! No warning, but dang that was fast. My only concern is that sanding lines are very visible on both. I expected it on the black body, but my last red doll didn't have any marks at all. I need to break out the fine grit sandpaper. My Heng doesn't wear a shirt


The modding will commence on Mr. Heng shortly. I have like 3 options to get hooves legs on him, so I've got to explore my options.

Been lurking here for a while, more of a lurker than a poster. Currently waiting for Mi and as it gets closer to the 2 months the harder the wait is for me. She'll be both my first Resinsoul and my first SD sized doll as well now that I think about it, the first doll I've ever ordered direct from the company. The new arrivals I've seen here through pic or link are breathtaking and almost make me wish I'd chosen a more unusual color than normal. But I worry with seeing the surprise arrivals my girl will end up stuck out doors much longer than I'd like.

 

@IngieBee He's got an almost exactly 9 inch head. He's a really great size. His legs are currently unstrung, but he's a proper 72cm guy. Tomorrow I'll take some proper strung pics next to my Impldoll tgb for size purposes, but here he is next to an artist head on a Impldoll Starwoman body. With his legs on, he is a proper bit taller than her.

After my mods, I'm hoping he'll be the same height, but he'll end up with delicate little hooves lol.

He is in their standard red resin, which is remarkably stable. My 2 year old guy is exactly the same color (to my eyes at least). It's a solid red!

Sorry about the lack of pics. My brother in law graduated today and everything took longer than we thought.

I cannot wait to pose her and see what I can come up with. It's been a while since I have had a larger resin doll, most of mine are off topic or tinnnny. So this is going to be a re-learning experience for me

I've just passed the 6 week mark since I ordered a custom Mi so I thought I'd pop in. I'm very excited to work on her. I did a mock-up of how I'm hoping her color turns out and face-up ideas.



I'm also looking forward to drafting for her super slender body, they look so ethereal so I think it'll be fun.

I heard back from Sun and my Xun should be shipped in the next week. Right on the 2 month mark!

I am so beyond excited. She should get here right before my daughter's summer vacation and we just got our second vehicle so that means we can have some bonding time going to parks and getting photos of our dolls.
We both have SD sized dolls (Volks and off topic for me, Off topic for her) but they are so hard to carry with a camera and everything else (even when in a case) but she now has Miyou (dollzone) and I am getting Xun so it should be a ton easier to carry them and get some nice shots

 

Yes, take a lesson everyone, don't order RS through DDE 7 months and counting!!

 

ooof. I 100% believe your doll will be worth that wait, but I remembered how kind Sun was when I originally asked how to custom order so I went ahead through them. DDE has been a pleasure to work with for me when I ordered in stock dolls, but I have never put a customer order in there :3

 

@NekoMel ,Yah, apparently it's because DDE orders through Bobobie and it's slow. I'm thinking of asking them to ship my other order separately as it's been sitting there. I know it will be worth the wait but had I ordered directly, it would have probably only been 2 months :P And yes, I like DDE too, one just has to get to know what works, LOL. That's why I mentioned it, not because I think anyone is not doing a great job.

 

I understood And I had read things like that after I made my order too, I didn't realize how slow Bobobie was, lol. I knew you didn't mean anyone was doing anything wrong I don't think that's a bad idea to have what is ready shipped and wait for the rest. I am impressed by your patience for that. I would have seen some was waiting and gone into "pay for more shipments" mode

The few wait times I have had ranged from 2/3 months to 8/9 months. I haven't had it too bad. But part of that is because I had a tendency to fall for dolls that were already in stock, usually blank non full-sets so that helped. I don't remember how long my Bobobie took back when I had her (she was re-homed to my mom years ago) but she was one of my longer waits.

I am ' paitently ' hoping Xun shows up in the next few days. I've hit my 2 month mark and it's the last week of my daughter being in school so I'm a little busier than normal. Hopefully that makes time go by faster for me!

 

Does resinsoul really takes two months to make a body? I order today a custom 72cm body by email and Resinsoul told me it will take two months to produce the body. I just want to know if their estimate is correct. Thank you in advance for the info.

As far as I know 2 months is fairly consistent for them. Shipping sometimes takes longer and pushes it past the time quote. But I checked in with Sun about 2 weeks ago and she told me that it would be just about 2 weeks until shipping (making it exactly 2 months since I ordered).
They truly have awesome customer service and times. I will always order through them directly for that reason

 

I'm so excited! I emailed Sun to ask about my Mi since no shipping notification worries me since the mail can go days before it's checked and woke up to an email saying my order will ship in the next 2-3 days!
Now I just have to try and finish the dress I'm sewing so she won't have to hang around naked. I've got a couple wigs for her to choose from and 2 pairs of eyes on order in case I don't care for her defaults.
How long has it been taking recently for orders to reach the US?

I bought all placement items for Xun until I fully figure out her personality and style, unless they fit perfect then she's got her forever stuff.
I love knowing the dolls are on the way, I don't personally know how long they take to get to the U.S. Last doll we got in was smack dab in the middle of covid and it took a lot longer. I did order some stuff from China about a month or two ago and 1 package made it in 2 weeks and 1 package made it in 5 weeks. I am hoping it's not the same for the dolls lol.

 

5 weeks??? I think I would go mad waiting lol. Hopefully she'll make it sooner than that. I'm just hoping I can handle her size. Currently my biggest is my DollLove Kaja Vish and I think in his boots he is right about 46cm. I'm able to manage him pretty well though occasionally I've had to pass him off when he gets to heavy for my arms to carry.
luckily she won't be a regular traveler like Vish and I'll likely only need to transport her from one room to the next.

 

Yeah the 5 weeks was killer, luckily it was just clothing, but still Xun will actually be a middle sized doll for me. I have 2 at 60cm and a whole handful of tinies. I made a carrying case out of a yoga bag and white fleece and I use that to carry one or both big ones around for photoshoots. It helps distribute the weight for carrying

 

Would it be worth it for me to order the three SD bodies I want all at once? I'm curious how much I might save on shipping, if at all, considering it will probably end up being a pretty sizable box

 

I would say just email Sun directly and ask her how much shipping is for those 3 bodies, she will even quote you the entire price with the doll bodies if you tell her which ones. If I had the money I would have ordered 2 Xun but alas I am on limited doll funds at the moment (darn adulting like: buying a house and car) but she will give you a quote

Side note it's a bit past my two months now and I have begun the waiting by the door for deliveries phase. Sadly I have packages coming from all over for the family so I end up with false hope multiple times a day lol

 

I'm right there with you. My two months passed on the seventh and with Sun saying my order would be shipping out in 2-3 days last Sunday and shipping notifications being rare with Resinsoul I'm not sure even when to expect my order, just worried I'll not catch the delivery if I'm not watching for it.
Hopefully, we'll both see our orders soon!

 

@NekoMel and @TwistedRiver , even so Sun doesn't usually remember to email the tracking number, she usually has one, so you could ask for it?

 

I know I probably could but I always worry about bugging people too much.

 

I completely agree TwistedRiver I am always worried about the same, I emailed 1 time to see if it was going alright and she said yes and I worry about asking for tracking as well I hate feeling like I am bothering people. I fully agree that I would be worried I missed the shipment or if it went to the wrong address I would like to ask my neighbors since it happens and we don't know anyone well enough yet for them to know our names, we are still new and we have even newer neighbors.

IngieBee I have read about people asking for a tracking number and getting it very easily, She seems to really be helpful whenever asked. Some people like the surprise of when it shows up. So go for it if you want to ask

 

Yah, I don't know if you've only written once or twice if that's that bad, but I know how you feel

 

Maybe if another week goes by with no sign of my doll I'll be able to talk myself into asking for a tracking number but otherwise I'm just going to let it be and anxiously check out front once or twice a day. Lol

 

I have only written once to ask and I get guilt lol! But I have come to the same conclusion; If I don't see her in a week or so I will email again. Only for peace of mind. But until then every time I see a delivery truck I am going to selfishly hope its for me and not the rest of the family

hi! I ordered a 72cm boy body in NS from denver doll earlier this month. I was told 5 months which is going to kill me LOL.

Congrats!! I understand the months wait is painful. I learned from reading here when wanting a resinsoul always order through them, shorter wait time and really easy to do. 5 months should fly by The hardest wait is while watching all the delivery trucks pass by the house

 

Mine took 7 But it's cheaper to ship from DDE I suppose? I'll probably order directly next time because directly through ResinSoul vs DDE who orders through Bobobie takes only about 2 months usually Hang in there thought, it might go faster, you never know

I ordered through denverdoll because i couldn't use paypal. Ive ordered directly through resinsoul and had it take less than a month and im so antsy! I've got his head sitting on my shelf and im just itching to do his faceup but i must wait for the body because i want to do matching body blushing. He's supposed to be a ghost so i intend to use a lot of blue lol

 

Well, I know how that feels. I have two heads waiting for bodies and I'm surprised it's taking so long... but that's an OT doll

 

My Mi arrived today! I'm beyond excited to unpack her but I have to wait a bit as the DHL truck pulled in about 2 minutes before my ride. So I have to wait until I'm settled in at home to open her but at least I know she's here!

@TwistedRiver Ahhh!! Congrats!! I can't wait to see pictures! The worst is when the delivery comes as you're leaving. I had to pick up one my girls on my lunch break one time because I couldn't leave her on the porch that long; Then she sat in a box with me at work...for hours. Torture, so close yet so far.

 

Im officially a month into my wait for my custom Su! 34 days to be exact.

Only one more to go!!! Though I'm so very tempted to order Cen... I think I want to wait until Su is home though. For some reason I feel weird ordering a doll late into the wait time of an existing order?
