I am getting the red Boston Terrier as looks a lot like a pit bull which I want a real one so bad, but not a good time for another dog here. But this guy will do. Should be here by Fri. I got him faced up and from Junky Spot. I would love it if people would tell me as well as show me how they dress their dogs, like dogs or people? Thanks, MK

PS Another Question. If these guys are on topic how come there's no database for them? Would love to see the pics of the ones belonging to DOA members and hearing how they fit in resin families, as pets, magical creatures or what?

 

Greetings Animemom, I do have more pics, but this will give you and idea how I dress my Boston Terrier (I added to the faceup) Its a crochet Hitty dress, I think most clothes that can fit a Raikes Hitty will fit Boboie pups - I can try more if you like

Here is my boy finally home and I have named him Phoenix! I found a Pit Bull like him in AZ but we couldn't keep her as real owner did claim, plus we flew in.

He needs to be sueded and will get to it soon. But first need to do chores, and such.

*stops by* I have just ordered myself two dogs from Resinsoul to immortalise my beloved dog who was put to sleep two days ago and his mother whom I still own. Boston Terrier isn't exactly a Staffie, but the look was close enough and I am a die hard ResinSoul/Bobobie fan so it seemed appropriate. RS even bent to my wishes to give them both brown eyes because I asked them to.

I can't wait to show off pics of my babies once I paint them up to look like the real Diamond and Diego. It's nice to see pics of these pretty little things at home, it makes me more sure than ever that I have bought the right doll to be my baby boy. I just have to wait for them to come home now.

 

I am awaiting delivery of the Boston Terrier. I would like to buy him or her clothing before
delivery. Anyone know which companies make the right size of these dogs?

I have my babies! I knew of the size before then, but somehow wasn't quite prepared for Diamond and Diego to be quite so big. I LOVE them eternally though. They are soooo beautiful and cuddly! Just the right size to haul around with me. XD

Frushstick, I'm afraid I can't help with the whole clothing for them thing. I don't intend for my babies to wear clothing. They are supposed to be pets so will only wear collars and nothing else. Except maybe a leash, and a pink bow on my girls tail occasionally. lol Good luck and if I find anywhere that sells the right size clothing I'll let you know.

Hello everyone...I had these wonderful pups on my list and thanks to Animemom...Phoenix has come home to live with me...I adore him...and now think I want to get the black and white one as well..lol. So you'll be seeing me often now. I'll be putting up a box opening soon, like when I go to lunch. Until then I was fooling around and put a Bratz jacket and shorts on him..hehe..Bad to the Bone!

 

These dogs are cool! It's so fun to see Phoenix in bratz clothes, they fit very well. ^^ Great picture Kitty Blue! It's nice detail those eyes are not similar colour - I didn't noticed it at first.
I like the way these dogs are more realistic than many other BJD dogs, but not too real.

You mean how long does Bobobie take to ship your doll once you order? A month.

 

I have a question about these guys! Are there any differences between the sculpts 0036 and 0038, other than the colour? And if you order without faceup or body blushing, would you just get a white dog?

 

Which site are you looking at for them? Just going from the RS site my understanding is that there are different #'s depending on the full face up/blushing of each dog 0036 is blushed similar to say a doberman and 00038 is blushed more like a beagle looking dog. As for the base color you have to choose from the drop down, I believe they can be made in any color that they offer.
If you are getting one completely blank then it would not matter which you choose between 36 and 38. Just like 37 and 39 they are the same mold just different full body blushing options. Hope that helps.

 

Can the bobobie dogs wear 1/6 clothing like for barbie or blythe or bratz

 

Can the Bobobie dogs wear barbie clothing?

 

I have bratz boy clothing on my little guy...the long shorts, tops and jackets fit, the pants would be too long. The biggest issue would be the tail since it is not on a magnet but plugs into the back..if that makes sense. I would think that barbie clothing is too large though some items may fit. Since my RS Bei fits the Barbie clothing perfectly and she is 27cm. Hope that helps. I believe the bratz girl clothing would be too small at least the skirts and pants I have not yet tried them will have to do this later maybe tomorrow morning if I remember and I'll let you know.

 

I have been experimenting and I find the barbie fashion fever capris fit well as pants for my dog and the short jackets and shirts from Bratz fit.

 

I would love one of these pups. How are the ears attached on these guys?

 

The ears are permanently attached but the tail is not. since don,t have any clothes with holes I just don,t use it.

 

The tail is not a magnet? That is interesting. I guess I will have to make special clothes if I want to use the tail.

 

I play with my Boston terrier so much dressing and redressing him and as a result some of the black paint has gotten worn off. What would I use to repaint?

Ee! Was directed here by Kitty Blue. I am going to purchase the Boston Terrier in white next month! He's so cute! It'll be my very first animal BJD!

Would it be better to order via Junky Spot or direct from RS? I would prefer to go direct as I live in Asia, but I know communication is iffy with some BJD companies and sometimes it is better to go with a dealer. Thoughts?

Also, do YOSD clothes fit them? Like the stuff meant for LittleFees?

My Phoenix (a few posts up) was 2nd hand so I'm not sure which company per se would be better to order from. I would assume shipping wise it might be better to go directly through RS. Although I do see that Denverdoll has one in stock so you wouldn't have to wait so long.

As for clothing I'm not familar with littlefee so maybe someone else can answer that, however I have mine wearing boy bratz doll clothes (see same photo a few posts up). The main thing is that the tail does not have a magnet in it to attach. It actually attachs into the doll so it might be difficult to find clothes that will have a slit of some sort in the back for its tail, unless you decide not to use the tail.

Yay. So I ordered the white boston terrier from DDE like I said I would. Waiting on them to confirm the purchase. I really wish this thread is more active. I'd love to see more photos. I plan on bringing doggy to work with me and out for random photoshoots as I want to make a little scrapbook about him. I bought him a little monster hoodie. It's supposed to fit a LittleFee, but I'm hoping it can fit him somehow.

ETA: Going to go look for Bratz clothes on Ebay. :3

ETA x 2: Sadness. No one on Ebay will ship Bratz clothes out of the US. I'm going to ask DDE to see if they've got anything that will fit him in their store. Wish me luck!

 

Oh I am SO ordering 0037 at the same time I am ordering my Yao boy I have been looking at these dogs many times. Never really been that interested in them before. But now that I am getting more and more of RS dolls. I am starting to really love these dogs and can`t think of my collection without one.

I have one of these. I've got Pup 37 (the Boston Terrier one) and I love her! My favourite feature is that the tail is a removable part, so she can fit into a lot of non-modified clothes that'll fit other dolls her size.

I just recently discovered these pups and I want them all..but I regained some control and only ordered two..#37 and #38. I love that they are real looking. I am not at all attracted to the cartoony anthros for some reason.

Still have not gotten to order any of these dogs yet. But I really want one because of the variety of the colors you can choose between. And now that I'm getting my very first Zuzu I think it is about time to get one soon.

nope the ears are not magnetic they have a round ball like peg, the headcap has a groove cut out so the ball part sits inside the head...I'll try and get a photo of mine and edit this post. So you'd have to have a wig with holes or slits as I think just holes might be still tricky to get the wig on because you have to put the ears in the head to put on the headcap. Unfortunetly I don't have a Luts Zuzu to do any comparisons. Would it help to see a comparison with a yo-sd, MSD or SD??

 

Thank you very much I can experiment a little with wigs once I get one. I'd really like to get 0036. But I think I might start with 0037 first. But I wonder what color to choose. If I go for red I could make it a demon dog. If I go for green I could make it a space dog. It's gonna be so hard to choose color..

I'm putting in my order for an 0038 on the 29th! Now to choose between sky blue, purple, or dark tan base resin color. I'll be ordering w/o any face-up or blushing and going straight to an artist who is willing to work her magic on an anthro pup face! ^^ Couldn't be more excited. It'll be quite a wait I'm sure before my pup is home with me, and then awhile longer til they're back home all made up!

At least in the meantime, I have some projects I can work on thanks to this thread! Since KittyBlue so graciously posted measurements, I can shop for my pup and begin work on their room-box. I wanna go into detail but I'll save that for a project thread! Just sayin, it's gonna look like a dog house on the oustide and a cute studio apt on the inside. eeeee!

One thing I can't quite find anywhere is the eye size for these guys. I'm sure a few sizes would work nice, but I wonder what they ship with? Anyway, sorry for rambling! I'd love to see some new photos from others here of their pups! This thread is a bit old and most of the image links are broken. I know they're not the most popular dolls but they're such a favorite of mine! ^^

 

I'm not sure if these are "molds", but Pipos makes more than one cat bjd. There is a Cheshire cat and a Rosie cat. I know because I have the Cheshire and Rosie on order! They are fabulous cats. Not quite as fabulous as Queenofsquids large cat above, Immortality of Soul Jack. What a cat!

 

Just in case cats are off topic, I do have the Resin Soul beagle pup on order too! Dogs are essential in a family, right? Not sure if I will dress them or not.

Resinsoul will typically do special request, just email them with what you are looking for...photo references are a plus. Sorry can't remember the eye size.
