I sanded a bobobie female's boobs wayyyy down. Depending on how dressed she would be, you could always fill them from behind with apoxy and then sand them down, then body blush to match. It would be wonderful if Resinsoul would offer a smaller optional chest piece. But the 58 Resinsoul girls are not as hugely busty as the 60 cm bobobies.

I dont know, but I dont feel like comparing two or more companies with eachother, cause they happen to make hooves. What RS has done is something else than soom, no need to compare those two. These are artists work and every artist have different visions or methods or making their art.
I really like her, the hooves and legs, the slim, fragile body, and the very very nice head makes her seem so vunerable, like a deer. The horns are lovely, but I would pick out some smaller ones, to go with the slim and fragile look. I really really like her, and am considering buying her.

 

And bobobies boobs arent hollow from what I know O.o. I sanded down my bobobie boobs quite a bit (well at least 40 % of them maybe).

 

Well, do you have a resinsoul or bobobie body? There's a huge difference.

 

The new Resinsoul body is really different from Bobobie's old body--the boobs are hollow and the space between the boobs has very thin resin.
I'm glad the hooves are so different from Soom's--it's a nice take on the whole thing, and I get scared when I see those hooves which are, like, apple-sized. (Even though they're more stable than Ai's, I bet.) Resinsoul got some heat when Dan came out for "copying" Beryl, but the headsculpt and horns were really different, IMO. Now there are spendy blue dolls, but Bobobie and Resinsoul have been doing blue for years. I just feel like "hooves", like "blue", are a pretty general concept that you can't really copyright. Beryl herself was heavily influenced by fantasy artists like Boris Vallejo, and people with animal parts have been part of art since it began. I mean literally. Like cave paintings.
So I feel like it's not a rip-off, it's just competition, and it's in response to lots and lots of people emailing Resinsoul and asking for hooves specifically, so there's clearly a market there. And Soom isn't interested in that market--they do gorgeous, fancy limiteds, which are expensive and rare by definition. Resinsoul is more of a populist company. They just have different approaches.

I actually kind of like the Gazelle legs on her, They are thin, but it's something new ^.^
The horns are Beautiful! they definitely give a different feel than traditional horns. I think they may have actually been chasing the 'demon' Idea with this one, rather than the satyr-style Ram horns they were doing before.

The new boy is up too. Unfortunately (At least in my opinion) It looks like they simply exchanged the legs from the female to the male, Rather than making a proportionate set for him... He looks like he has very spindly/unsteady legs as compared to his body.

Oh wow, she is lovely! I love how the hooves look and those new horns. She is defiantly going on my wish list, hopefully I'll be able to get her this summer. ^_^

 

I think she would be good for making my Warcraft dreanei character because the ears are similar and she can be purple. If I buy her it would probably be in normal skin though just in case the customizing doesn't work out.

 

I really, really want to see how another company's MSD or SD-sized head would fit on this body. (Specifically Minifee.) If this doll were MSD I'd snap her up in a second. Even being SD, she's tempting... I just don't have a character she'd fit. >_< She's lovely, though. RS's pictures never do their dolls justice, their sculpts are really so nice and delicate.

 

No to the minifee. It's an SD body and honestly, I think Minifee look really stupid in SD bodies. They're not made for them. They're made for slim MSD bodies, which is a huge step away from this body.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Ai, So far I have had no interest in getting a hooved doll but, she has changed my mind. I'm definately going to bring her home. Now if I can only decide which color I'd like to get her in...

she's really pretty! though I think I could go without the hooves and the horns... I'm not a horns and hooves kind of gal. and her ears are so lovely, I would hate to have anything distracting me from them!

I was going to try to get a Dan (top of my christmas list... I try every year no matter how hopeless it is) but now she's at the top of my list... without the hooves. even though Ai is even more hopeless of a possibility. mom said she's scary and doesn't like her.

resinsoul just keeps getting better and better.

 

I have given it a lot of thoughts and I will probably order her when my souldoll and soom is payed off. I think its a lot of doll for the money.

 

She is so graceful and beautiful. I think maybe I'd swap out for the Dan head, though - I like Dan's little sheep ears and succubus smile better than the pout, even though it's a typically lovely RS sculpt. And oh my gosh, so lovely. I couldn't disagree more with the poster above who says that hair on female bodies isn't "feminine" - the curling hair on the back of her legs is far more sensual (and feminine) than the usual hentai smoothness of dolls. I am totally in love with those legs.

I have the exact opposite with the facial expressions. The thing that had been holding me back from getting dan (despite the ever so awesome ears) was her smile. I've had a Mei, and she smiling at me all the time didn't feel right. I like a more neutral expression.
I'm probably going to buy her as soon as the SOOM Galena's arrive, because I might want her in white with Galena's wings and make her a white peacock or a swan.
Otherwise she'll definately be red or so.

 

I believe this girl is going to have to go on my wishlist. I would love to see her in blue skin! Actually my dream for a long time was to own a blue skin Resinsoul doll but I was having trouble deciding which one until now!

 

I'm going to try to order a NS Ai without the hooves next week I'm not a fan of hooves (even sooms) and I'm probably not going to use her horns either

I just need a little more and I'll have enough money for her! my bank account did get murdered poor bank account.

I've been wanting to make a succubus character for a year or so now, but was upset because I kept missing Soom's monthlies. The price tag makes me even happier ^___^

Though, I'm not familiar with Bobobies. Where it says skin tone, is that the resins actual colour or is that body blushing? I'd like red hooves, but I'm not sure how I'd cope if her entire body was red XD;;

 

That's the actual resin color--they can cast a whole doll in tinted resin. The red is a nice dusty-brick red. If you go to the Resinsoul site, you can click a link called "Color show", and see all the resin colors.
I believe that if you get the doll with faceup, the horns and hooves will be painted. At least, the faceup Dans came with painted horns. I don't think they offer body blushing. The Bobobie faceup is basic but pretty nice.
I have heard that Resinsoul is quite open to custom requests, so they might be willing to give you red resin hooves with a different color body.
I am diligently saving up so I can bring Ai home soon, and unite her with the eyes and wings I already have for making my demon girl. Why can't it rain money?

I think I'll ask them about custom painting though.

I really love her, she's perfect since I wanted a gentle-looking girl with hooves and horns, and I totally missed out on Cuprit. Ai is even better since I can really make something unique with her.

I don't think she does. The website says "The Doll's price includes the head, body , horns ,a pair of 16mm-eyes, and the latest dolls' packaging handbag." There is no mention of human legs. you could probably order human legs if you wanted them.

 

I think that they are totally open to special requests: I just ordered my first doll from RS and let me tell you they are out to please their customers. I asked to buy an extra pair of Lu hands for my Mei and they said that they would give them to me for free!!!!

 

You can just request her with a normal body. Resinsoul is very awesome when it comes to personal requests. They aren't shy to swap some heads

 

I was trying to answer this at school but I got kicked off my computer!

I email resinsoul a few days ago asking if she could be bought on the hjuman body and they sent me a reply

so I guess that means if you buy her now you will be paying dai's regular price..... so no deal T.T

I'm waiting.... so then I'll have enough money to buy her wig and eyes as well (or I'll buy those first and save later )

 

I'm not into hooves or horns, but this girl has a beautiful face and I wish I had the money to buy her with a regular body. All the RS girls have beautiful faces (Dan, Yun, and Dai as well as Ai), they are great dolls, you just need to do a little finishing work on them (restring and suede), they and BBB are just fantastic in my book.

 

I'm thinking about getting an Ai body with a Dan head in coffee... it will have to wait until after Christmas though, already spending so much money right now!

The white skin is really beautiful too but I don't know what color would be good for blushing the leg hair... I don't care for the brown hair on the white leg.

 

I was blown away at the Resinsoul Ai and Mu dolls. Looking at the hooves, I wasn't sure if they were my thing, but I love the horns (I also like that you can purchase either set of horns, too). I think I'd like to have both of them...but on normal bodies. ^_^;

 

Tee, I liked her so much I just ordered her up. I was torn between Ai and Mu, but Mu's face just... I'm not sure, something about the expression didn't quite sell it for me. Hooves! Horns! Can't go wrong with that at all! I wish Ai had Mu's ears but... that's not enough for me to not like her as a whole!

 

Ah! I wish a ResinSoul would start working on a MSD sized doll with horns and hooves!

I ordered Ai in Ns a few days Ago. I really wanted Dans head but I couldn't get her for the sale price if I switched out heads . Oh well, I figure I can just order a NS Dan head at a later date . I'm really looking forward to handling the body and seeing how well it poses IRL.

 

I've put mine, a light tan/coffee colored girl into layaway. Just made the 1st of 3 payments. So hopefully I'll have her out soon.

Hooray! I just ordered mine! I got her in lilac with no faceup, and I promise to post a bunch of pics when she does come. I'm really glad she can stand up, and I'm curious to know if she can crouch like the Sooms can. I will test.
I was going to wait until next month, but my RS Dan, Tanith, pitched a big sulk that I hadn't ordered her sister already. So I took the plunge.

 

Congrants WildWoodFlower ^_^ I can't wait to se your girl in liliac ... I am thinking of even ordering Dan with hooves in either grey or liliac... I think your girl will help me decide. I ordered a Red Ai last week but she is on a short layaway. I went ahead and got the faceup ... for $10, I realy couldn't beat that. If I like it then I will keep it. If not, then it can just be a temp one or at least added to.

 

Dan is a great doll! I really love her face. I would have gotten her with the hooves if they'd offered them then. I'm hoping they sell just the legs in the future, so I can hoof-ify mine.
I almost went for gray, but I love the Resinsoul dusky-purple, which is pretty close to gray. Right now I'm planning to have my Ai in a burgundy wig and red-orange ghost eyes, but I'll see who she is when she actually arrives.
I nearly did get the faceup--it's a really nice faceup for $10!--but I have something specific in mind, and last time I removed a Bobobie/Resinsoul faceup it was stuck on there with magic or something! I had to soak in alcohol and then really scrub. I guess that means they won't rub off with normal use, which is nice.
