    1. Here is a place to discuss our upcoming Resin Rose BJD Expo convention in 2023.

      Early Bird Registration starts September 16th, 2023 at Noon Pacific
      Details:

      Our Theme is "Game Night"
      It includes all board games, table games, dice games, card games, etc. (It does not include sports games or video games)
      When: August 9th-11th, 2024
      Where: Monarch Hotel in Clackamas, Oregon (Just outside of Portland) 12566 SE 93rd Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015

      If you received this email or a similar one claiming special rates for exhibitors, it is a scam!
      Neither Resin Rose or the Monarch hotel offer any sort of extra bonus deal for vendors when booking. All attendees get the same rates via our booking code (listed on our website)
      You can only book rooms through monarchhotel.cc or by calling their number listed on that website.
      They will never reach out to you regarding our event other than to confirm your booking.
      Resin Rose will also never contact vendors using an email other than our resinrosebjdexpo@gmail email or via this account on Instagram.
      Any other communication channels should be viewed with caution.

      Here are some important announcements and deadlines coming up-

      Important Deadlines to Remember-
      July 9th- Last day to reserve hotel rooms (if they still have any availability)
      July 15th- Vendor Registration cut off date.
      July 15th- Transfer Vendor Tables
      July 15th- Final Payment Due on Vendor Tables
      July 15th- Sign up to run a panel/class/demonstration/game
      July 15th- VIP PJ Party Pass Sign Up. Limited to 35 spots.
      August 1st- Transfer Memberships
      August 1st- Send in your extra Pass Holder Names (for vendors)
      August 1st- Register for 2-day and 1-day passes online.Passes can be purchased at the door at an increased price.
      August 1st- Swag bag donations and/or promotional material.
      August 1st- Meet up space reservations
      August 1st- Volunteer Sign Up
      August 1st- Prop, Face Up and Costume Contest Sign Up August 7th- Donations received by mail. Donations can be dropped off on the day of the show.


      Also, Cocoriang is looking for someone to help them at their booth. They are looking for a Korean interpreter. It will include a full 3-day pass (if you have already purchased a pass, it can be reimbursed). They are also willing to pay an interpreter fee.     3. Woops I thought I had a room reserved when I didn't lol. I guess I've been doing this for too many years now. XD

      If anyone ends up canceling their room, I'd be happy to take it over!

    5. You would not believe how excited I am. I finally bought a new doll carrier, too, so we won't have my dolls just winging it in a tote bag anymore. :lol:

      If calling the hotel doesn't work out, I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Clackamas last year, and it was a super short walk away. Fingers crossed!

    9. Last resinrose I wasnt able to get into the main hotel but Courtyard Portland Southeast/Clackamas is a good hotel that is walking distance! Its the one I was in last year and worked out perfectly fine.

    12. A shoutout of love and gratitude to the convention runners! I've volunteered for a few years, and I feel like each year I see more of the curtain pulled back of how much effort into putting all of this together! It really is a ton. Plus, feedback has really been taken into consideration and implemented, so I can say this one was the best one yet. Looking forward to the next!

While it wasn't our best year as vendors (both my sister and I spent huge chunks of time being ill or injured in the lead-up when we would have been crafting inventory and working on some new display things), it was a GREAT year for seeing dolls, chatting to people, and buying from our neighbors-- already looking forward to next year!

    16. This was my very first Resin Rose, and I had SO much fun! It's still wild to me that I won the faceup contest considering I had never entered one before, and I'm very excited to paint and customize my new little guy :) I made a lot of new friends and met a lot of people I previously only knew online, even from halfway across the country. I'm absolutely coming back next year!

    17. I have a question about next year - at the closing ceremony, the theme was described as "anything water related", but "Adventure of the Seven Seas" sounds pretty specifically oceanic. Does it include non-salty water too?

    18. Yes, it includes all bodies of water and the areas around water. Ex: Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, Swamps, Beaches, Islands etc.
