hello Kristin and welcome, sure you're more then licensed to joint on this thread, i found very very usefull for all of us, thanks for all the info.
Hit and miss for me too. Most of the wigs i got are ust perfect. The most excuisite and well made wigs. But ive gotten several wigs with bangs so long they where coming down over the chin and ive recieved one long blonde wig that was a reall mess, in a state i wouldnot even expect from a badly treated second hand wig. Also size wise there can be quite a larger difference, even with the same model wig.
Hi, thank you for all. I will let wig issue to our administrators. And than I will try to make an event for free shipping within next week. Nomally, it happens only suprise event something like that. But I will do it next week for you guys. If you order that day and received the wig and than have a problem or something is not good, please let me know. I want to fix that. I love recommandation. From Kristin Leekeworld
Oh, I get it. Hair bangs are different with wig design. If you let me know the wig number, I will check the bangs and try to fix that problem. Some customer wants short, some cutomer wants long for wigs. So we made it same as sample wig. But when you receive same model wig and it looks different, we can exchange it. Please contact to our staff. email : [email protected] I hope you like Leeke wigs.
Elnuyn85: The curls look really tight on that wig so if you separate them and play with it a bit it will probably look a lot more like the official photo, in proper length as well. Maybe that won't help since there was also a size issue though. =/
Has anybody ever had to ask Leeke for a refund on a wig, and how did it go? :/ I just received a wig I ordered today and I am not happy at ALL with it. Sorry if the thread prefix is wrong, but I don't know what this would fall under. http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=2979&B_catalog_num=21 I ordered this in peach pink. It's exactly the cut I wanted, and with the way everybody usually raves about Leeke wigs, I figured it would be okay to spend the money on it. While the color is accurate, the cut and style is ATROCIOUS. It is nothing like the wig pictured. you'll have to forgive my photos, as all I have is my cell atm. This is what I got. Not only is it a really tight 7-8, but the whole thing is horrible quality. The bangs are super thick and completely uneven both across and depthwise, the side pieces are wonky and I had to trim a ton of straggly hairs. Let alone the fact it doesn't even lay right, it's practically stuck in that wideload shape. The Leeke model (Megu?) has a round head, yes, but so does my Yun, so I didn't expect a problem. The back also has its issues, it may not be as visible in my photos, but in person the wefting is really noticeable. Maybe they could have afforded to put all that extra fringe hair in the back where it needed it. This is what it SHOULD look like, although ideally not as atrociously cut. However, even if I keep the rubber band on this wig for days, it's impossible to have it lay like this. I can't cut it to this without butchering it. Over all, this wig was not anywhere near the $50 including shipping I had to pay for it. It's horrible. I've never had a wig look so wrong from the stock photos ever before. If Leeke can't take stock photos of the wigsize on that actual doll size, they shouldn't take photos at all. So, has anybody had any success in asking Leeke for a refund? Because this, to me, is unacceptable.
You might want to check out this thread: Really Disappointed With Leeke Wigs There's some info toward the end of the thread about contacting Leeke and/or exchanging wigs. Have you tried posting on their Q&A?
I would ask, as well. I know Leeke is very good with customer service, thought their English is not really the best. I swear I had read somewhere that Leeke may return wigs if you are unhappy. I agree the cut is very messy and it's not just a sizing issue (I've heard a lot of people being disappointed with Leeke wigs when they order them in a small size and they don't look like the promo shots. I don't think all wigs work well in sizing down!) I would really say you write them a message on their website to see what they can do! Hopefully they can be helpful to you
Well, I understand your disappointment and feel your pain. Honestly, 80% of my Leeke World wig do * NOT * like their website photo. The 20% good wigs I have are either early Leeke Wigs (from 2~3 years ago) or limited wig. Few thing to keep in mind when you order wigs (my suggestion)- 1. Model head size. If a company is using 9-10 head size doll as their model, probably only their 9-10 size wig will look *similar* to their website photos. It is more difficult to keep the original shape on smaller size wig. Most of the time, small wigs (like 5-6 or 7-8 in my experience) are only 60%~70% identical to the original photo. (Some even worse) 2. Company will *style* their wig with wig wax or something else when they take photo. For Leeke wigs, 90% of time, the wigs I receive does not look like promo picture. I have to re-style them. For Leeke return policy- I believe if you want to return, you will have to pay return shipping on your own. They may eventually only refund the wig price. For shipping- it is possible they won't refund you at all. And also, contact Leeke world ASAP. Because they have time restriction on return item. If it is a defective item (By defective, it means it has to be Leeke world who agrees the item is defective. Otherwise, it will be return merchandise.) you need to contact them within 7 days after you receive your package. If they do not think your item is defective, they will treat it as "return merchandise". For this, you will need to contact Leeke within 10 days after they shipped your order, and request a Return Authorization Number from them. They will not refund you return shipping nor original shipping on this. And they will charge you 10% restocking fee. Worst of all, they only take "NEW" un-open return on this. And once you receive your RAN, you need to ship the wig back within 15 days. Otherwise, they may refuse your return. I know it sux. But all of this are written in their Return & Exchange policy under FAQ.
I friend of mine recieved her Mikhaila with white spots in her left cheek (she has the default make up). Leeke wanted the head back to redo the make up and they even were going to refund the shipping cost, but like my friend didn't want to send the head and wait all over again for her they gave them the money of the make up back. As Lucyhayash told you, contact Leeke ASAP and tell them your problem. Now I have a problem with Leeke too. My Mikhaila arrived yesterday and they forgot to send her default dress and wigs which of course I paid for. Now I'm waiting for a reply and I really hope they send me my stuff asap.
I've left them a notice through the Q&A with pictures asking about a return, but I've yet to have a response (though I know it's sunday in korea right now, so they're likely not there). I really hope this works out smoothly and they don't try and say there's nothing wrong with it, because it's clearly a quality control issue. As for difficulty keeping wig shape on difference head sizes, if they can't do it, they shouldn't make it. Or at least take photos. I think it's a little ridiculous that Leeke can't take photos of wigs on the proper model size while nearly every other company I've seen can.
I've heard that Leeke wigs are best bought in the larger sizes because they were originally made/styled for large dolls. The smaller the wig size, the more different the wig looks from the stock image. Don't quote me on that though. I thought I saw it on another Leeke thread. It's quite sad that you spent that amount of money and got something completely different from what Leeke advertised. Hopefully you'll get it sorted out... instead of having you send this wig back, maybe they'll send a better one or give a refund. I've only ordered Leeke wigs once. I placed the order directly on their site for two 8-9 in wigs. One looks exactly like the photo, while the other is close but not perfect. It helps the theory I mentioned in the first few sentences appear true. I wish you the best of luck in this matter.
When I first started buying wigs from Leekeworld 4-5 years ago the wigs were always perfect and looked just like the promo images. Some of my best wigs are old Leeke wigs. Now when I order it's a crapshoot. Out of the last few wigs orders nearly half have been unevenly cut, misaligned bangs that don't lay flat and sewn unevenly so the bangs are lumpy at the sides. Now I've decided to not buy their wigs unless I want to risk it for something really unique that I can't find anywhere else. Sad but true. Afraid I have not tried to return the janky wigs but I think they would have cut me off by now. I would have tried to exchange wigs ten times, maybe more by now.
Well, with Leeke wigs and the smaller sizes, I have to agree. If there's a tight pony-tail or some artful styling, it may not downsize well at all and I've had that happen on a couple of occasions, so I would totally avoid getting some wigs by now based on that experience, and those were going back a couple of years. I had no idea what everyone was saying about Leeke quality going downhill for wigs, the LE wigs I've been ordering have turned up bang-up awesome, but I did a few non-LE orders about 3-4 months back, and when I got them...I admit to being shocked, a blond one in particular had just about half-fallen apart even before reaching me, terrible quality. Now my bad on not calling Leeke out on it, but I was in the middle of packing/moving, and I actually lost the wig for a period of time... So there you go. I honestly need that wig style in that exact color, so I think I will have to actually chance ordering it again, and if it comes in the same condition I'll lay a complaint out, but I'm not anticipating Leeke would get snarky with me over it. .hlp
I ordered a Dorri wig from Denver Doll Emporium and it isnt even the same wig as pictured! I ordered this wig: I'm pretty sure that we got this one: I really dont think that DDE had made the mistake but I still understand how frustrating it is to buy something that is supposed to be of high quality and get something completely different....It does sound like they do have some kind of quality control with there highly priced items. this is what the wig looks like that i received(before I added extensions :3): revampedcake by Ne0nheartsboutique, on Flickr
So depressing seeing all these problems :C As an update, Leeke replied to me. They asked me to send the wig back so they could check it and refund me. However, shipping won't be refunded on my postage. Oh well, loss on the shipping costs, but a refund is good - I'll just be shipping it in a slower/less costly manner if possible :/. I just hope their inspection proves as unsatisfactory to them as it was me. Now to figure out how to write out wonky korean addresses lol.
If I remember correctly, I thought Leeke was the dealer for DollGa wigs. I remember seeing DollGa listed under production. So wouldn't it be DollGa's fault for the poor quality wigs and not Leeke? Not defending Leeke or anything. They should at least check the wigs to see if they meet the hight quality expectation before shipping them.
This is worrisome :/ I was planning to buy a Leeke wig too but it seems they don't come resembling as pictured. Sorry if this might derail the thread-- but does any know the quality of Luts wigs? and DikaDoll wigs? Because they are some of my other choices for wigs.
Some wigs do look just like the promo it's just hit or miss. But ya, this is not the right thread to get reviews on other wig makers. You should start a new thread in Buying & Shipping if you can't find an existing thread that covers your question.
SweetMelodies > i guess LK is not dealer of Dollga, but somewhat like the relationship that Luts and Fairyland have? Just two days before LK came to Dollism Plus 6 and sold all the wigs under their name sadly their wigs' quality is bad and one staff seemed faked someone who wanted to purchase a YoSD size wig into buying a MSD size wigs-_- i used to have a few LK wigs, but i've sold/thrown all of them away even since i know LK/Dollga is copying Classic Majesty-_________-
