Random fact about your doll

Fact: I hated my doll when she came out of the box. Then I gave her a faceup and modded her a bit. Then it was love Strange right?

 

Fact: Asul had a character change and used to be named Kumi

Fact: My Second doll is taking almost a year to get made.....

 

Fact: I purchased my first doll to help me draw poses better, now I spend way more time on him then I do on drawing
Fact: I thought I would never have more then one doll; I've now planning on at least nine
Fact: I've spent months looking for the perfect sculpt for my main character. After practically deciding that I was going to get an iplehouse, I finally found the perfect sculpt for her; it's a doll chateau.
Fact: I know I like male sculpts better, but most of my more interesting characters (that deserve to be resin) are girls.

 

Fact: My second doll Naoya arrived at the 29th of Februrary and it is his birthday since.

 

Fact: Both my current doll girls are male sculpts and will be on modded M2F bodies. On the other hand one of my doll boys will have a modded F2M body.

Fact: When I got my first doll I was bummed out, I felt no inspiration for him whatsoever and he didn't suit his character at all. It took 3 years to figure out what to do with him, and I feel silly for not having figured that out before.

 

Fact: I haven't figured out her style yet, and she's demanding a new face up
Fact: I fell in love with Fallon's sculpt when I first saw it.

 

I'm going to be longwinded and write a fact about each other my dolls:

Fact: Teal's hip joint has been glued back together after my hand slipped when modding him *shame*

Fact: Clairvius has the smallest doll peen I've ever seen - he's on a Dollndoll body.

Fact: Wolfe has two broken fingers from where 13 kicked him - twice - off my desk.

Fact: Felix's head is really hard to turn and I'm desperately searching for my kips to alleviate this.

Fact: Almost every joint in Selkie's body has been modded because the JDF body is just so freaking impossible.

Fact: 13's mods haven't been finished - there are definitely the remnants of boobs on his chest.

Fact: When I got Topaz he was a hideous shade of beauty green. I sanded him and dyed him with tea. It's not entirely gone but with blushing it's better.

Fact: I accidentally sanded down Amleth's collarbones when modding him and now I'll have to mod him again to build them back up.

Fact: Matilda doesn't have any knickers. Under her skirt there's a bare bottom.

Fact: Raz is still entirely naked and has none of the customization I've been meaning to do on him. He's not even half-finished.

This was all very depressing. From now on I'm sticking to fiction!

 

Fact:Finn was once a drow named Calaste before I decided to change the doll's character.

Fact: With the thing that he was meant to be another character I have to place all of Calaste's modifications I had done and give them to Finn.

 

Fact: I ordered the head for my second doll about a month after ordering my first (full) doll. The head came home first. So technically, my first resin was a floating head.

 

Fact: Cuprit was my first, and favourite doll. I will never get rid of her, ever. She means far too much to me.

Fact: I've forgotten the day Mika arrived, so Her birthday is Halloween.

Fact: Helios (My SOOM Heliot) Is named after Helios in Sailor Moon. I was so close to selling him when I was close to being unable to get Soom's Free Choice Cuprit, because his character just wouldn't work without her.

Fact: Cadence, used to be Libby, who used to be Cadence, who used to be Frost. I'm now tempted to change her name back to Frost.

Fact: Taka is Swahili for Rubbish, and was, according to my old old old Lion King books, Scar's name before he got his scar. I've always loved the name and when Taka didn't fit my original plans for her (Princess Celestia from MLP) She became my little Steampunk Faun. I think the name fits because steampunk can look like bits of rubbish all cobbled together if not done right.

Fact: Equinox was originally going to be my own little Ciel Phantomhive, but the second he came out of the box, that vanished. He's the first doll I've ever been disappointed in when I got him

Fact: Incoming doll Aflora, is named after my World of Warcraft Dranei, and is a Kitty Girl, whilst also being the "Imaginary friend" of my Minifee, Mika.

Not doll specific Fact: I feel part of the Doll community more than I have ever felt part of any other community I've been in, (Brony, Convention, Cosplay etc...) And because it's not said enough.

Fact: I own two boys of the same sculpt and they're both historical figures.

 

Fact: Bartlebee owns us all.

Fact: I like boy dolls more than girls.

 

Fact: I used to hate Unoas and thought they were horribly over-rated and only for rich doll-snobs. My new Unoa hybrid mod project is both my favorite doll I've ever owned AND only ran me a little over $300.

 

37 dolls in the house, not quite enough room here for 37 facts. ^^ Random sampling:

Fact: A Rei-Tenshi fetus angel was absolutely the LAST doll I ever wanted / expected to own... but I won one at the Volks LA Dolpa lottery, so I guess the Rei-Tenshi fetus angels had different plans for me! The rumor about Tenshis choosing their owners is totally true. Now Jimmy is just one of the gang.

Fact: My house woobie is an EID Akando. When times are tough or the Ativan is failing, I often pick up Bijan and squeeze him like a teddybear.

Fact: Yuki changes feet every time he changes shoes. All high heels are not created equal, so I bought him Super Gem feet for standard-size shoes & big steep Dollmore Model feet for those big steep Dollmore fetish heels. But whatever feet he's hiding inside those stiletto boots on any given day, he always looks and feels just like the man he wants to be.

Fact: I bought my SchoolHead B as a 'replacement' for an SD13 Tsukasa, whom I thought I'd never be able to find (i.e., settling for the wrong sculpt because you assume you'll never find that Grail)... After I found that Tsukasa, and brought him home, I was going to sell the B-head, but he ended up staying on as the Tsukasa's little brother. After all, why waste a good family resemblance?

Fact: I have never regretted spending the price of a used car on my Satoko Ohno repaint (SchoolHead A mod). Even 7 years later, every time I look at his incredible incredible face, I still think the phrase "worth every fscking penny".

 

Fact: Of all the BJDs in my brood, my Volks Full Choice System doll is the one I had the most trouble "bonding" with and seriously considered parting with.

I ordered my Volks FCS MSD Boy on a whim and a dare during the last day of NYC Dolpa in 2007. I named him after Mr. Ken Yamanka at Volks who was always so kind to me each time we interacted. He was also the one who assisted me in choosing what my FCS doll would be composed of...skintone, size, headmold, gender, eyes, wig, face-up...everything! At that time, there was a place on the form where the doll's name could be listed. I chose to name my boy "Yamanka", but either Mr. Yamanaka didn't think this the name I really wanted to pick, or someone else at Volks thought it was listed in error, so my boy's "birth certificate" has a blank spot where his name should have gone.

My boy "Yamanka" spent five years with only one outfit to his name, and a single pair of shoes. I just found a second outfit that suited his style this past Summer from Volks, and his second pair of shoes to match it from Doll Heart.

Yam's original FCS wig was too girly for his personally, even though he was supposed to be an angel...as John Travolta says character in the film "Michael"...."I'm NOT that kind of Angel!" So my guy was bald for a few years too, until I was able to get another wig that worked better.

Lastly, Yam's eyes FCS eyes seemed to be a much lighter shade than the color I recalled picking out. I ended up replacing them with a set of $10 acrylic's that my friend had and popped into Yam during a meet-up.

 

Fact: My first doll was a surprise sculpt my mom picked out.

 

Fact: The dolls Im about to get have characters already based on characters I drew up and used before!
Now I guess they'll have a physical form and be re-born in resin!

I know they wont match up perfectly but they'll inherit all their personality!

 

Fact: third doll was originally a male and was sold to me as a female *dollzone fei*

 

fact: Maze does not have regular eyes, he has marbles
fact: I hated my DZ Mo from the minute I got him. Thought about selling him many many times. But he's still around due to a completely diffent face up and style then I had originally planned.

 

Fact: its my sister's bf who did the box opening for my 1st doll XD

 

Fact:i've waited almost three years to get Beryl from Soom and now that she's here with me i barely take some piccies of her

 

My doll always takes off her stockings... she seems really uncomfortable wearing them.

 

Fact: Kijika, a male SD, sometimes wears girl heeled feet (from a different company) and not only does the resin match perfectly (which was a surprise), they look perfectly proportioned for him (he's 58cm)

Fact: Tyhlian's character prefers to be bare chested. His doll form is constantly half out of his vest even when I put him in his box fully dressed and nobody touches/moves his box.

Fact: Moswen, my most solid standing/posing doll turns into the incredible noodle doll when I try and dress him in anything red.

Fact: Dakvir is dyed jet black and people are always surprised when they realize he is blank with only eyelashes installed. They tend to think he has a face-up for some reason.

 

Fact: Mizho is the perfect size for the model guitar I made

 

Fact: most of my dolls do not like wearing jewelry

 

Fact: All of my girls are Princesses...

 

Fact: My SD is a solid rock standing, or holding any pose. The moment you need to adjust/bend his torso for even the smallest amount, he's a wet noodle.
Fact: My MSD Eli is always a noodle, but when you get her to hold a pose, she doesn't move. At all.
Fact: Both my MSD heads are weirdly small. They wear 6-7 inch wigs.
Fact: I waited five years to get my first bjd. She was my little Eli.

 

Fact: Sarah has a "sister doll" named Seraphine who is also an Iplehouse Carina owned by my friend.

 

Fact: When I first got my girl, I was laying down and holding her when her leg lifted up and she kicked me in the face.

 

Fact: I did not plan to get a Msd 1/4, I planned to get a dollfie dream but now I prefer msds, sds, or yo-sds.

Fact: Seiya is about 14-15 years old (Name of my first boy)

Fact: I did not buy boots for Seiya from official companies, I bought them at a local accessories shop

Fact: Seiya's personality is described as slightly (maybe very) Unsociable

Fact: I miss my boy when I go to school

Fact: My boy cant really lay down

Fact: My boy sleeps in his box most of the day while im in school, and when I get back home, he gets out.

Fact: I plan to get a violin case to carry my boy around

 

Fact: Eva my DZ April girl, always crossed one foot over the other when she is sat down.

 

I no longer have the dolls I talked about so let's say bye to this post. ^^"

 

Fact: I redid Lark's face-up 5 times before I was saticefied and I still haven't posted any pictures

 

Fact: my dad doesn't know i have 2 dolls

 

Fact: Minifee Miyu was the first doll I knew I wanted, but she's been the most difficult for me to be satisfied with. Nothing I do with her seems to make me happy. We seem to be figuring things out slowly though

Fact: I sew all my own doll clothes because I've never found anything pre-made I didn't think I couldn't make myself. But when I finally found the perfect DollHeart dress and actually paid for it, I got a refund from them a week later because it had sold out! Guess I'll just continue to make my own clothes >_>

 

Fact: Amaya and Hana are vampire demons. XD

Fact: I'm ordering a new dolly this weekend.

Fact: I sew my own doll clothes. (they are not the best but I like them)

 

Fact: Lydia (my dz rosemary) is half French & Half Japanese.
Fact: Her father is a mob boss

 

My boy Kell is almost always naked except for shoes. He thinks he looks better naked.

 

Fact: I have two dolls with me and two dolls coming. SD and YOSD with me and MSD and 65+ girl coming.

 

Fact: my human girl, Ava, thinks all of the clothes, wigs and eyes that come into my home should be for her-even the things that won't fit her!

 

Fact: Not only did my Insi come with a free face up (I requested without) But when she arrived she was strung so tense that the snap back of the S hook when I removed her head has left a permanent scar on my thumb XD
(In spite of that she became one of my favourites.)

 

Fact: To date I haven't been able to bond with a boy. I'm hoping Cel my Soom Shale, will change all that !

 

Fact: my Anthony doll is many characters until I can afford to buy them all.

 

Fact: my only doll Alysh is a really pretty and lady like doll, but whenever she sees my brothers play zombie splater killing games... She always seem happier... It freaks me out...

 

My first doll Mayumi got lost at the parcel force office, then I was told she had been delivered and signed for by some one else, I freaked out thinking some random person had my doll. As it turned out they had typed in the wrong info and she had been waiting under the front desk the whole time.

 

Fact: I got my second doll (bought second hand) before my first doll (paid and ordered).
Fact: I still will have to wait to get my first

 

Fact: I mainly bought Charlie due to the low cost and his jointed feet...not a day after receiving him, I decided that he was the Grail doll I never knew I wanted.

 

Fact: Jin's hairstyle was created when I messed up cutting his wig. I simply just rotated his wig and turned out to be an awesome hairstyle.

 

Fact: Grey Kestrel, my Bibiane, now has about three times as many outfits as her Tedros partner, Red Cardinal.

Related Fact: Cardinal is supposed to be the fashionable one. <_<

Furthermore: Even Chibi!Kestrel and Chibi!Cardinal (the five year-old LittleFee versions of the two EIDs mentioned above) have more to wear than grown-up Cardinal does. o_0

Conclusion: There really need to be more options out there for EID guys. Iple and Freedom Teller can only get you so far.

 

Fact: I have no intention of ever getting a male doll.

 

Fact: all of my dolls but two are second or third hand. I like to re-home when I can. However, my girl who is on the way would have been difficult!

Fact: speaking of leekeworld Ashley , my husband has dubbed her a fem-bot! Haha!

 

Fact: My girl made me closer to my best friend at school

 

My girl Aoba is named after the main character of a yaoi graphic novel. XP

 

Fact: I'm waiting so anxiously for my SOOM iMda Babette that I've already bought material to make her outfit and I already have a name down.

Related: I've written three news articles on SOOM's iMda collection on DoA. I'm just a huge fan.

 

Fact: I used to be super worried about yellowing, but then I received my wonderful Liara (A yellowed minifee) and I just adore her skin color, and I think she's beautiful. She totally eased my fears about yellowing!

 

Fact: My girlfriend is creeped out by the Doll Chateau Douglas and Sexta (yet to own) dolls with the extra hand foot and neck joints. At least I know She'll never touch them. lol

Fact: None of my male dolls will ever be 'straight' most gay some bi, but most my girl dolls will be straight, some however won't.

 

Fact: Most of my dolls are OCs that have been hanging out in my headspace for the past *gasp* 18 years.

 

Fact: 9 times out of 10 I refer to my non-tinies by their sculpt name rather than their given character names.

 

Fact: my boy doesn't go anywhere without his toy elephant, manju.

 

My boy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
