Oh, @shaDrouet I read too quickly, but i want to say if you don't like a loose fit with your dolls, you should go for a size 7-8 as their heads are closer to 7.-5

And she is SO beautiful , congratulations!!

 

Ah a 7.8 wig size.. I would of not guessed so.. than you this does help. and thank you, she will be my first bigger bjd in quite a while. having gone out of the hobby to collect smaller resin fashion dolls, I find I missed the bigger dolls now too.

 

@susana789 I will take some pictures of Eva on the Sartoria Aphrodite body tomorrow, too bad the body is in Fog Gray so I can't tell much about the match. But proportions are incredibly good. The head looks a bit larger, but it could work because the neck hole has a great fit on the body and no modification is required.

@IngieBee As always, thanks for the lovely pictures. Your Veronica looks great on Impldoll body! I wish I could join any Sabrina's doll preorder soon.

Rene looks great on the Dollfamily-H body, but now I need a different one for Eva. Too bad Opaleighty has discontinued the large bust version.

 

I hope that happens at an optimal time for you @Nanael . I know sooner isn't always best, but if that'd be good for you, I hope an order opens up soon for you

 

So Rene finally arrived and here she is on a Super Gem white body which I think has mellowed. to a more creamy shade of changing .. im not sure I like the ratio of head to body. shes a very tiny head far as it goes. the S hook goes thru but the string knot is to large so its preventing me from fully pulling the S hook thru alone it will perhaps I need a smaller knot.. shes got in 12 mm eyes which are not glass as all my glass eyes are bigger so im going to have to order her some eyes and a wig. this one is 6/7 and much too small for her so yeah 7/8 as someone mentioned is going to fit much better. my hunt for a body goes on

 

@shaDrouet Oh, I was thinking she almost needs broader shoulders. Necks always look too long on dolls to me, but clothing usually hides it, maybe to the point that longer necks are required for the right look? Her faceup is amazing, she is stunning!

 

Sorry if I am super late with this but I managed somehow to take pictures of my painted Eva Head in new normal on SartoriaJ Aphrodite 61 body (in fog grey, though).

And then Rene in old normal, Eva Head in new normal and SartoriaJ Luthien in fog grey, so you can see how they look according to size (Rene is slightly smaller than Eva and Luthien).
I didn't manage to put Rene on that body, because the S-hook neck hole is smaller, but I simply placed her on it and the head looks incredibly small. She needs a slimmer body but neck measurements are ok!

So who knows, perhaps SartoriaJ could be good. I can't tell color wise, but as soon as I manage to get an elf Lobelia in their normal tone, I can tell.

@Nanael thanks for putting the head and body together. I would have never thought of that combo. I have a couple sartoria dolls, and am in need of a body for my Blina head. Maybe she can share!

 

What bodies will work with Rainmanking Blina? Thar head seems a bit smaller than. His other girl heads.

 

I don't think Blina and Eva can share a body. Their neck holes are different sizes. I started a thread about this because I forgot about THIS thread. Does anyone have recommends for a good body for Blina?

Hello! Does anyone have a Blackcherry Aishat head and a Rainman body and could show me how they look together? I would appreciate it a lot.

 

The Iplehouse nYID body. I have mine on it and it's perfect. But you'll either need to sand open the neck hole or sand down the neck. In my case, I bought both pre-owned with both modifications already done, and it's too loose. But I also had an unmodified Blina to try, and that fit perfectly on the sanded-down neck. You could probably also go for the DF-H 58 cm body, they also have resin matching, and smaller necks than Iplehouse.

 

I still don't have a body for my July head. Any suggestions?
I never bothered to try her on my Iplehouse bodies because I have two SIDs and didn't really want a third, but there's so many for sale second hand it would at least be an easy option if it fits. I did try her on my Dollmore Model and she's way too huge for that body (my second tallest girl!), she definitely needs a bigger neck/shoulder.

I'd love to get her completed, she's one of three dolls I have left to get together before I consider the collection done lol

 

I tried mine on the new FanFF body (the one that came out with the Yue and Hai heads) and the fit was really lovely!

It looked so good, I'm tempted to give the body over to the July head. But I love the Yue and Hai heads as well, so I'm a bit torn.

 

@VampireAngel13 , I'm currently waiting on a DF-H63cm body for my July. IDK when I'll get it, but I'll let you know what it's like when I do.

I'm almost finished painting my July, and she'll go on a DF-H 63cm body. I'm kinda busy again, so I don't know if I'll get her finished until maybe the weekend, at least I hope so!

 

So for the life of me I could not figure out what FanFF was and I gave up only to be looking for someone on Instagram and realize I follow them.

That's the kind of week I'm having lol

The FanFF body is definitely the most beautiful one I own. It is similar to the 60cm Dollshe, just so much better! It stands right out of the box and holds any pose, just love it. It is available again at new clover singing atm. I received mine two months ago and it was less than 4 months wait.

 

@quake , could you show us what July looks like on that body? And how is the resin match?

 

I will try to take a picture this weekend, when we come back home. My FanFF body is in 'volks normal' skin and I am pretty sure, it is more on the yellowish side and not a good match. When I ordered it back in March, there was also a 'Mia normal' option (which would be a better choice, I guess) but I had already received the Yue head in 'volks normal' and it was supposed to be Yue's body. Unfortunately my July still lies in her box. Maybe I will redo the face up one day and try again.

 

Here is my July on the FanFF body. As I thought, it is not a good resin match but I really love the proportions of this body.

 

@quake That's a beautiful body and as you said, proportions are really great despite the bad match. Dollfamily-H has just released their new 68cm muscle female body if anyone is interested. Not imposing but slender and well toned, I wonder how it would look with Rainman heads.

 

The proportions are perfect! Is the color difference really bad? It doesn’t look too bad in the photos.

 

I got my Blina sleeping head today. It is smaller and nore delicate than I thougt. Its beautiful but I do not know what body she can use.

 

@tovej , I put mine on an Iplehouse NYID body, but with a very sanded-down neck.

 

I have a Dollstown elfbody I use now to my Rainman sleeping Blina head, until I find a better body. Body is 53 cm. Picture:

So, I just bought Eva via a reseller, and was looking at suitable bodies for her--I only have boys at the moment. She's still in transit from the UK, but I was wondering about the Normal resin used on the head. Is it on the pinker side, or it is more neutral? I'd heard Impldoll Star worked well with the overall proportions, but wasn't sure on the resin match.

 

@klytaemnestra, I had Rainman Kira, Eva and Tsunaina (tan). My first body for Kira was Ipple SID, I sanded neck but after 1y of using this combo I bought DollFamilyH 63 cm body in normal and it is perfect match in color and proportion (my Kira is from 2018 first sale and maybe a little bit color changed). Tsunaina in tan fits perfectly on DollShe 26F copper oriental. And for Eva I had DollsTown 18y body on mind one day. My Eva is from second edition (OpalEighty) and normal color is not so pink as my Kira. So there is change in used colors (it was notified by OpalEighty). If yours Eva is from last sale it will be more normal, not pinky normal.

 

The Impldoll star body is on the tall side, concerning proportions, but not bad. The Impl normal pink resin is the right hue, but is paler compared to R&R normal.

Thanks. As for proportions is it just that the limbs/torso are a bit elongated visually? I was looking at the measurements against the R&R body--which I don't love the breasts on tbh--and they look similar by a cm or two difference. I don't mind having a slightly taller body for Eva as I debated going with a more androgynous look for a while.

 

@klytaemnestra , the Impldoll body is quite long, yes, but not androgynous in the least. It has some very curvy hips and thick thighs. I also have the R&R body, and it looks much better in person. It's actually one of my favorites, although the lack of heel feet is a definite point against it. Mine does have the small bust, which looks much more natural than the large which is featured on the website. I would say the R&R body looks much more natural than the Impldoll, in my opinion. I'll try to show a picture at some point.

 

Giving this thread a little poke, as I brought home a full Blina from BJCD Austin a few weeks ago...

 

Oh, which one? The one offs look so pretty. The WS Julys and the one off Blinas looked gorgeous!
I was pretty sad they announced they were discontinuing their body on IG. It's definitely my favorite. I hope they keep it around for one offs though!

 

I chose Blina! I had to get a second opinion since it was between Blina and one of the Evas. I keep falling for her bold red lips.

It’s been ages since I was here, and I’m still looking at bodies for my July— however I ordered the new impldoll Star body (mostly to see if July fits but also because I really liked the look of it) and they just got me a shipping notice!!

so fingers crossed she looks good on this one, because I’ll finally have my last DC girl in the works.

 

I look forward to your photos! I certainly like the new Impldoll Star body better than the old one, but I'm still on the fence about it overall. I didn't like the wrists, hands, ankles, and feet on the old body, and it doesn't look like they've changed that bit. Also the new body has weird shoulders. But sometimes doll bodies work out better than expected when you start posing them and styling them.

 

@ElizabethStiles yeah she’s really big shoulders, but I liked that, because I feel like July looks way too big on narrower bodies.

regardless, she came today, and July fits perfectly!! Finally! I’ve been waiting years

@TasiaChiba She's so beautiful! I'm a huge Rainman fan, but I haven't had money to buy dolls since the Rin release, so I've missed out on her order, Becky's, and Adela's. I hope I'll be able to get them in the future.

Are all Rainmen head in small sizes? I have Blina sleeing head (very small sd) and Imany( needs a small sd body).
What body do you use on Blinas head?
Only body I have thats funktion is Dollstown elfdoll 53cm, and its not petfect.

 

Hrmm, I personally don't know about all Rainman heads as this is also the first one I've ever seen in person! But I have a lot of heads, lol, and I would think it's pretty average. I actually took a photo beside my DS Arsene head and they're nearly the same. I plan on doing some headswaps with the bodies I have on hand, so I'll share whenever I get to do that! I'm also, personally, looking for a male body for mine, but floating heads rotate on bodies in this house, so it will probably spend some time on a female body at some point!

Blina is smaller than the others, I have her on an Iplehouse NYID body, with the neck hole sanded slightly open, and the neck on the body sanded slightly narrower. It's a little work, but she looks really good.

Imany I haven't put on a body yet, but I'm planning on another Iplehouse, although I also have the Rainman body. I like Iplehouse bodies best, so I'll just have to sand down all the necks.

 

I did put Imany on an old Twigling body from 2007. It works very well. Also perfect in color. Blina is not working on the other Twigling from 2008. I may buy a Agata head also from Sabrinadoll to that body. I tried the Anna from Milkweed and honey, but I think she is looking better on Dollshe Diana + pose body.
