no, the DF-H is definitely pink, it's light though and easy to match with a white head. They do have a white resin version though... I could take a picture tomorrow in natural daylight as I have a DF-H Soso head in white, so I can compare head caps if you like @ElizabethStiles but I'm not sure how well my phone camera will pick up differences???

 

That will probably help someone here, but I just wanted to know because my heads are all Normal, so if DF-H pink looks like R&R white, then it definitely wouldn't match. But if DF-H pink is pinker than it looks in the photo, then I still have hope.

 

Eh, those phone pictures can be misleading. The body is definitely pinker, though it's also a light color - much like impldoll normal pink. Hope that helps, I totally forgot about taking a picture today anyway, LOL

 

That does help, I at least know what Impldoll pink looks like, and it's not too bad for R&R Normal. Thanks!

@lenacat26 , I also have a tan Imani on a Dollshe Copper Oriental body on the way. I'm so excited to get her, yours is so pretty!

 

Oh wow, did I miss a new sculpt? Or is Imany your girls name and she is a Rene (sp?) @lenacat26 ?? She is beautiful!

 

Imani or Imany is a collaboration between Rainman and Sabrina's Dolls (she's been releasing new sculpts under the name Luna Dolls). Here's her IG image of Imani's digital sculpt, and here is the finished doll.

@ElizabethStiles Thanks for providing me the modder IG account! Do not worry if it's not much, at least it's a info. I like what she does and Sabrina's dolls is also a pleasant discovery. There's so much going on on IG right now. I've saved Sabrina's IG account so not to miss the preorder notices.

@IngieBee Thanks for the great pictures of DF-H body in comparison with the head! They look really great. I am very interested also in this body because DF-H through Alice Collection provides resin matching service. I hope they will be able to cast a body that goes well with my Rene NS, if I go for it.

Oooh, Adela and Becky are cute, I am just not getting any more dolls until my floating heads have a body! LOL, and I have like 6 of 'em. They're driving me nuts!

 

I know how it feels, I have two Migidoll boys looking for a Volks matching body, a FL Siean, and now two Rainman heads... It will never end.
Maybe I will order one DF-H body for Rene to see how it fits and the rest... with time.

 

May I ask you what is the resin colour of your Dollshe's body ?

Slightly dumb question - how are Sabrina/Lunadolls related to Rainman? Or was it just a team-up for a handful of sculpts? (Cough, totally going, oh dear at the gorgeous Lunadolls Naomi at the moment! Though I've not got a clue if this particular sculpt is/isn't one of his lol)

 

I suspect they are Rainman sculpts, but I have not been keeping up. @Vetinari I think you can ask on Instagram??

 

@Vetinari, I think Sabrina's Dolls are all collaborations between Rainman and Sabrina, where Luna Dolls is only by Sabrina... maybe. That's the impression I get, at least. But as @IngieBee says, the surest way to to know is to ask the artist.

 

Ah thanks @IngieBee @ElizabethStiles both of you! Yeah I think you're right that it's a mix of both from what I've seen being said about the sculpts on Instagram. (Gah I'll ask the artist, since yes, yes I am trying to get on the preorder period for one of these sculpts, Naomi's face just grabbed me in the same way Blina's and Kira's did way back lol)

 

So once Rainmans sculpt sells out - that's it he doesn't sell anymore of that sculpt?

@ZaidaBoBaida , no, they just do limited pre-order periods, and they don't do all the sculpts at once. The recently discontinued sculpts had multiple previous order periods. I have two Renes which were casted from two different order periods (and are slightly different colors). The discontinuations did seem rather sudden once they were announced, though. But I suppose all discontinuations feel like that.

 

Renee is one of the ones I'd really like to have - her and July. Though I'm thinking to order Eva and Blina. Though I can't find any examples of Eva faced up besides the one on opaleighty's website.

I don't know, I think Rainman is artistically flaky and simply does what he wants when he wants. Thus, he could disappear any time??? Then reappear with open orders. I'd just keep an eye out on his site and see if you can get what you want second hand?

 

That might be true - I don't know - but Fantyfoo definitely has a closed eye July available. Someone said they wanted one.

ETA - he cant be that big of a flake. I ordered two heads last week and I already have my tracking order.

 

@IngieBee, admittedly the order periods seem to pop up out of nowhere, but I got all my orders in the timeframe promised, and Opaleighty on IG was excellent with communication about the order, sent me pictures, tracking, asked what I wanted it valued for, and everything. I don't think flakiness is really something to worry about. You just have to keep an eye out for the order periods is all.

 

Oh, no, I meant Rainman is the artistic (but beloved) "flake" LOL. As long as these ladies can take care of the business side, we're all in a good place

 

Don’t worry, IngieBee!!! I think any of us, who have been along for the ride with Rainman since 2005, have seen all the pageantry and artistic “flakery” and know EXACTLY what you meant! He and his teams have always filled EVERY one of their orders, but we also know that, once orders are fulfilled, the time line of “be back soon” and “see you later” are subject to artistic interpretation.

I see that several people have already been confused by and asked about how to pay for orders from Rainman, but I cannot seem to find a PayPal address anywhere on Rainman's website or in this thread. I did not see one after I finished my order, either, but maybe I just missed it. I am worried about sending money to the wrong place. Does anyone who has recently ordered know what the right PayPal address is?
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I ordered a blank head.

 

I contacted Opaleighty on Instagram about this, as she runs the website. She does say to place the order online, but then pay to her PayPal directly at [email protected]. You might also want to add a note to your PayPal payment with the order number and whatnot, as well as contacting her on Instagram just to let her know you placed and paid for an order.

She is beautiful. My Eva is still waiting for body, please which one do you use? And is this head from first release by Rainman or from second via OpalEighty?

 

This Eva head is on the Rainman body. She was from the first release. I have another Eva head I just got recently.

 

I have two Eva heads. I don't usually do doubles of sculpts but I just love the Eva's. This head is from the recent release and was painted by Opaleighty. She is on Dollshe Craft 26F body. I prefer the Rainman body though for Eva. New Eva Head by C. Pemberton, on Flickr

 

@Cherylsdolls, thank you for reply. Please, are the heads of different sizes? I have Kira and Su and Eva from second release via OpalEighty and Eva`s neck-hole seems to me bigger. So I'm confused, I wanted a body for her from Supia (65cm) or Dollstown 18y 18y. Yes, Rainman body is really beautiful. She is outstanding. Thanks for sharing her.

 

My understanding is that Rainman did change the heads at the point that Eva was first released, because he designed his body for that head and planned that future heads could possibly fit it. If you look at his body on his site there is still the message about it at the bottom where he says that earlier heads will sit different on the neck of it. I think I tried my first Eva head on Iplehouse HID and Dollshe Craft 26F, then decided to just order the Rainman body for her. I may have tried a Dollstown 18 but I don't think it worked for me for some reason? Maybe someone with a Dollstown 18 could try it out for you?

 

I remember reading about the different heads. I have a July from the last release as well as a last release Blina. Blina does not fit the Rainman body, the neck hole is too shallow. However July's head fits nice as the neck hole is a bit wider and deeper. So I too will be looking for a body for Blina eventually. I haven't strung my Rainman body yet. But even in pieces, so far I like the aesthetic of it so I will be very excited when I actually get the body strung and July's face painted.

 

Ugh, you guys are making me need an Eva head!

 

She is really beauty, in my opinion very expressive sculpt. But I can't find a suitable body, I want her tall and slender - Dollsown 18y was my dream, but I think the head will not sit properly on the neck. Maybe I will ask OpalEighty if there will ever be next body release.

 

@susana789 , Actually, I think dollstown might work really well. Some people put Rainman's earlier sculpts on dollstown, but those sculpts had a smaller neck hole. Eva was the first doll head with the larger neck hole. It should fit now without adjustment

 

Thank you, because I appreciate advise from experts in craft, so I'll probably try this option. I have DT 18y boy body and I KNOW I must have a girl body too. Currently I am working on color matching tan Tsunaina with Dollshe 26F body (in fresh). So maybe one day maybe I'll find the courage to take photos

I hope someone can help. I have a Rene head coming in in WS.. anyone know of a good body that will fit it.. Someone said Supergem. but aren't they just 6ocm. from what im ready 63cm is more where I need to be to have it look right.. Any help at all would be so appreciated..

 

I just got my Eva head today! This is such a gorgeous, realistic sculpt. (Amazed at how fast it got here)
I agree with what was said above- I think a Dollstown body would work. I also think the head would look good on an EID because of proportions and wider neck hole.
I will pop my Eva head on my EID in a while to satisfy my own curiosity and will post results in case anyone is interested.

 

I think the proportions are not too bad. The neck, of course, would need to be modified.
The head looks really big on my smaller bodies.

 

I like the look @louiselle , but I'm a little surprised at how narrow the shoulders look. But I have been getting a lot of broad shoulder dolls lately and it has skewed my eye, LOL. I'm not sure if her neck needs modification. I think that neck is too pretty to change if I ever get Eva and a dollstown body, I'd give her shoulder pads and be awfully happy

 

I am trying to get a Dollfamily-H body for my Rene in pink normal to see how it fits. I think @IngieBee has Rainman heads on Impldoll bodies (is that you? ) and i find it a beautiful match, too! They are similar to Supergem in size and both companies offer custom resin matching.

I have a painted Eva head, too! I hope to take pictures of her on YID and Sartoria Aphrodite SD bodies soon.

Thank you, @louiselle! The proportions aren't so bad. I thought the head would look smaller on EID body.

 

Nanael, I have DollFamily H body and with Eva`s head it was not great match in my opinion - but I could be wrong (my Eva is from recent Opaleighty release), neck hole is too big and there were big gape for my taste.
But I will be grateful for picture with Eva`s head on Sartoria body.
My Kira from 2018 release is perfect in size with DF-H body, but this first heads until Tsunaina was smaller (and my Kira sits on modified nSID body).
Tsu is bigger than Kira and Blina. Unfortunately, I am not at home at this moment, so picture could be taken at Friday 8th.

 

@shaDrouet I got my Rene a Doll Family H 63 cm body. She is w/s but I painted her to match a different body. Someone else wears that body now though, so I need to repaint my Rene to match this one. It has good posing, not perfect but better than most. I've found this to be so objective, that I feel I must put in a disclaimer, LOL. This is what she looks like on it. Also, I enlarged her neck slot with a 3/8" drill bit so she can take normal hooks. Don't know if Rainman has started making them bigger yet? Oh, and house being worked on, no good place for a picture, LOL

 

Oh, upper joint and hip joints do move side to side, up and down, but require sueding to hold most positions and her legs can do the knee-bend sit. I like Dolls Town better, but there is a big price difference.

 

@Nanael I'm so sorry for missing your question. Yes, I have put my July on it (above and hence her skin tone which will be changed soon), and my Veronica, which now uses the body (she was comissioned by Sabrina Dolls who handled sales. She's comissioned a lot of Rainman sculpts!

 

thank you IngiBee for the info and photos..Looks like shes a nice fit to the body.and I like the smaller chest, I picked up a Super gem body in ws going to see how that goes once its in, but I will keep the one you showed in mind as an alternative if it does not work out. I will post photos. in the meantime. Im also wondering what eye size and wig size works best.. Im thinking shes a 8-9 wig. just not sure on her eye size. Thank you so much again for all the info

 

I use size 12 with small iris on most of my realistic SD sculpts, but that was too small for my July. I think I'd like 14 with small iris but I really don't remember what I've tried. So far she is missing eyes and I need to go shopping and try on what I currently have to see what looks best to me.
