Rainbow high?

I can only find Poppy when I look. I am torn between buying her now or waiting until they are all in stores. I currently work at walmart and get a discount so I would like to take advantage of it while I can because I am leaving. To get free shipping though I would need to add another doll and I have all the rest. I added her to my cart and will keep checking until my last day lol

 

Definitely keep checking! A bunch of people in the Rainbow High Facebook group found them at their local Walmart’s today, so they should be coming very soon!

 

My Winter Break Poppy came in the mail today. I’m super impressed by her. I hope the other dolls in this set are just as good.

@dxgirly MGA is slaying the toy dolls IMO, I love Poppy! Our Walmart didn't have any of the winter dolls when I checked yesterday. As a matter of fact, the doll aisle was looking pretty empty, and what was there was quite a mess.

I have been buying the dolls here and there and having them shipped to my sons house in TN, where we will be moving to in a few weeks. He collects Monster trucks and RC racers and is super picky so he checked all the dolls for me and then lined everything I have shipped out there and the doll boxes up. I was shocked.
Seeing them all together makes me realize just how many I have to open! I mean when you buy a few here and there you don't realize it, but seeing them lined up like this I am not looking forward to opening all those boxes because RH boxes are a nightmare, but then on the flip side I cannot wait to get them out!!

 

@dxgirly your Poppy looks so cute! I may have to snag a few of the girls from this series if I get the chance.

@jenlovesdolls omg torn between whether or not I'm jealous of you. All those dolls! But at the same time, all those boxes...

 

I work there and check often, but our toy section always looks like crap

 

I feel like our store is always behind, the toy aisles always look like garbage and have very little in them. By the time we get anything I have already bought it online or at Target.

 

I have 6 of them. The first series. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. The joints are not as good as people say but they are still pretty good for a fashion doll. The faceups are beautiful, the eyes are inset which I like because I don't like painted eyes. The heads are a bit large, they don't look as large in pictures but in person they look huge. You might want to visit a store to see them in person before buying. That is what I did and I was impressed at how big they are. The clothes are soo soo cute and so worth it. I like how you can change their outfits, brush their hair, and somewhat pose them. They look very nice all standing together like a rainbow. The reason I got them is because I wanted to collect fashion dolls, but all of them have painted eyes (barbie, monster high, bratz)
Also there are a lot of other BJD collectors who collect rainbow high.

 

I'm really impressed with the series 3 dolls and I'm glad they're (kinda) changing up the clothing styles. Did anyone get that early release of Jett Dawson? Both of her outfits are ugly as hell.

 

I've gotten 4 RH dolls now and it's getting hard to stop, because it becomes more & more fun to mix and match the outfits! The winter break outfits are really cute, I want Violet, Poppy, and Sunny for sure! I still am not the biggest fan of the big head style, though I like them separately from the body. They're kind of growing on me though, I have 2 stock dolls on display in my work room while they wait to be customized. I'm planning to sell a few OOAK customs to fund buying more RH to take their clothes, lmao I wish I had a BJD closer to their body size, my shorter girls are very thin so only some items work. I have one small-headed RH hybrid I plan to keep and want to end up with a few more like that, but playing the hermit crab game with heads and bodies is tough!

 

I was excited to finally find some of the winter break dolls in store this weekend. The only issue is that every store we went to had the same three. Someone said that certain stores get 3 and others get the other 3, I hope that isn't true. I also found the Amaya hair doll for $9 at Walmart yesterday. I had ordered her online and paid $47 for her, thankfully I didn't take her out of the box so I am returning the expensive one.
My husband was like why don't you just wait for them all to go on clearance? I would but you never know what dolls will be clearanced and which won't, so I think for the more expensive sets I will just keep them in box until they all disappear from the shelves. The only reason my Amaya wasn't unboxed is because we just moved. I have a LOT of unboxing to do because in the months leading up to the move I had all my new dolls shipped to the new address so they have been piling up.

 

Rainbow high dolls are my favorite now. Kia hart and the Ayama rain the one with white hair are my favorite. ❤️

Went to Target today to get Jett Dawson. My store got 6 of her in. They also had all of the Winter Break dolls, so I got Sunny and Skyler, because they were the last two I needed from that line (I have Ruby and Violet coming from Walmart.com tomorrow.)

I’m really excited for the Series 3 girls. I saw on Instagram that the Clueless inspired one was accidentally listed early on the Target app today, so I guess it shouldn’t be too much longer? I might try to hold off on buying them, though, because I’m still trying to save money for Harucasting’s next preorder.

 

Congrats on getting those girls! I got Jett the night before she official released from Walmart. I had her on preorder but Amazon kept changing the date, and I don't care about getting a numbered doll.
I can't wait for the series 3 girls, but at the same time I am in no rush...my bank account needs a break and I am still trying to find OMG Cheer Diva and Jade, Sasha and Cameron Bratz dolls. So many dolls coming out!

 

I found I really love Cheerleader Skyler. Her hair is so long and soft. I decided to give the other Skylers a try.



Love them all. So far this is my complete Rainbow High collection though thinking of Winter Break Ruby. Maybe. I know I want Peach from series 3 and maybe Orchid or Rose. I’m trying to keep my numbers down because of space and expense. Plus, I do like some more than others and I don’t like to have favorites in my collection.

But, are others here excited for series 3? Who are your favorites?

 

I cannot wait for series 3! I think my favorite is Georgia Bloom and Sheryl Meyer, I won't know for sure until I see them in person but I want them all. I have it bad LOL

 

@jenlovesdolls ohhh… Sheryl Meyer has the prettiest shade of lipstick and her eyes are lovely. It is going to be very hard to choose.

 

I really wish they did more brown eyed dolls! I also love her lip color, I think the yellow and the whole aesthetic works well together and I am drawn to it...and I loved the movie Clueless haha

 

I agree, brown eyes are so beautiful. They look amazing with gold fabric details.

I don't know how long they'll run this line, but I hope one day they'll do black, brown and olive shades. Goth would be very cool.

 

Was able to grab Emi and Georgia from Walmart.com today. I had a chance at Daphne and Gabriella, as well, but unfortunately I had run out of money. I’ll have to wait until next check. Hopefully they’ll be more readily available by then.

 

I am trying so hard not to look at new ones coming out. I am in the process of going through all my OMG and RH dolls and keeping only the ones I reallllllllly love. I am keeping all the outfits and shoes and will just sell or donate the nude dolls of the ones I am not keeping. I already got rid of about half my OMG collection.
They just keep coming out with more and more and I am running out of space for them, so I need to get super picky about which ones I buy. Unfortunately I like pretty much all the new girls, I think I like most of them better than the originals. Once I go through them all lI think whatever is left I will have to one in one out, that may help me decide in the store if I am asking who will this doll replace.

 

The MGA releases are so exciting but they cost too much. I actually really want the car but I know better.

 

Ohh… I know what you mean. These take up a lot of space. I planned to only get one from each series but somehow Winter Break Ruby nudged her way in. Now I have to choose between them.

@moonbabe that car is pricey. But I suspect it will one day go on sale. I actually saw Jett and the Twins on sale at Walmart recently. I don’t know if the store made a mistake or what. It seems too soon.

 

I didn't want to buy any more of these, and swore I would only get two of the series 3 dolls, but I got Sheryl and Daphne so far and pretty much want all the rest, and especially the new slumber dolls! I love that they aren't putting gel in the hair anymore. Having to wash all the dolls hair ruined them for me.
I like to keep the style but having to wash it changes the style in ways I am not happy with. From now on I don't care how much I love the doll, I will only buy it if I know there is no product in the hair. I watched box openings of all the new dolls and so far none have product. I really think this series is the best yet. I haven't been able to find any of the other girls in the series yet, but I have the next 4 days off so I will be on the hunt for them.

 

I found Ice and Rose today!
They're the only ones I wanted so I'm content. I do like Emi but I can wait a while before I get her. Maybe as a Christmas present for myself

(Side note: I also found a Bratz Cameron at target )

 

Here are the ones I have so far. I actually just added Jet Dawson to the group but haven’t updated pics yet. I want to add Sheryl as well because I love the movie Clueless and she was clearly inspired by it. And one of these days I intend to get the 24 inch Amaya Rain they just released. She looks pretty amazing!

I also saw a clear wardrobe of extra clothes that interests me, but then I wonder how often I’ll actually change them. Maybe if I see it on sale over the holidays or something…

I’ve almost caught up with my collection again. I’m just missing Marisa Golding from the Walmart-exclusive sleepover line. She is perpetually out of stock online, and I have difficulty going into Walmart stores because of personal reasons, so she’s continuing to elude me for now…
