Raccoon Doll Discussion - Part 5

Here's my newest girl and the dress I made her! Well, actually I've had her for a while now, but I just got her back after getting her beautiful face-up by @matahata so it feels like she's new!
She doesn't have a name yet and I intended for her to wear brown wigs not black, but it turns out black suits her more - and so I need to find yet another wig in black so she stops stealing this one - but I'm so happy to have her more or less complete!



The dress is a Regency dress with a separate over-skirt - I've had this fabric for so many years, and always meant to make a dress from that era with it, so now it's finally done! Now, if only I could find some slip on black shoes that fit the flat feet... no luck with that so far. Or not ones that ship to Australia, anyway.

My next project will be to make a steampunk outfit for Fate, my elf Emma who is also back with an amazing new face-up - can't wait to introduce you all to her!

Thanks for sharing xyuemoto! I love the Raccoon Dolls and I really want to support them. It must be incredibly hard starting your own company in this day and age. I loved all his sculpts when he worked and Iplehouse and I really enjoy the dolls I have bought from Raccoon doll.

The video was cool and its great to see the passion that sculptors have for their work. I had no idea the creation of the males was because somebody asked him for a guy so they could have a couple. I wonder if asking for some high heel feet for the guys would get them made.

I'm glad all you wanted to see the video. I wasn't sure if I should post it or not.

It is really cool that he listens to customer request otherwise he might not made the male elves. Elf Kai is so cool.

 

I love the elves and hope he continues to make more of them!! My Elf Kai is one of my favorite dolls.

 

I adore my Elf Kai as well. Ironically enough, I'm actually working reasonably diligently on his story today. Go me!

 

Oooh, but the "too long" Raccoon Doll was one of my reasons to get my Alice! Cos I thought it would be such a cool inside joke to make a Resident Evil Alice out of a RACCOON Doll. Now if he only made a guy with Arabian features, I'd know where to get a Carlos for my Alice ... poor thing is lonely ...

 

Thank you so much for sharing the video! It was wonderful to see the creater himself talking about his creations and inspirations. The story behind the company name was cute, too!

Does anyone here have a Raccoondoll Emma they could possibly show me a picture of..? Maybe beside another Raccoondoll lady, if possible..? Thank you for any help in advance!

JinCincy, your Emma is beautiful - Is she large bust on slim body? She and your elvish-looking Lawrence are sensitively gorgeous together! The Racoon Male bodies are actually my faves, and I can't wait until/if Branden may be available again!! Count me in for that one, Mr Raccoon!

 

Thank you @LilyAndRuby , yes she is large bust/slim body. I really like the Raccoon male body too and hope to add another one of their guys sometime soon. I really hope they do more elf sculpts for the guys. I'd LOVE an Elf David or Robbie!

@JinCIncy, I love to see an elf David or Robbie especially if he sells the heads separately like he's done with the elf girls.

Well, I actually did my Gene's faceup as I'd bought her blank, not having quite enough funds for a Raccoon makeup at the time. She is happy as this character, but I am never as pleased with my own faceups as I am with the professional ones. If she likes it though she can keep it, for now at least, as I'd probably only mess it up if I attempted it again!! Once I make her some proper RoseRed-type outfits and find a wig that is really "her", I'll see how her character evolves.

Ahhh, who am I kidding - the moment Raccoon offer Gene heads again, I'm going to get me a lovely one complete with faceup!
And maybe a full Sarah too (definitely on my wishlist), as there is something about her that reminds me of Siouxie Sioux.

 

I just received my modern gene directly from the maker. But no COA was found. Did you guys come across the same issue?

 

No, I’ve received COAs with all 3 of my full dolls and 3 floating heads. You should contact Raccoon and let them know.

Scarlet C, Have you checked underneath the foam protection in the box? Sorry if that's obvious - it's just I thought a COA wasn't included once and that's where it was. I do hope it's there for you but, if not, Raccoon will be brilliant about it I'm sure.

Had the same thought and searched high and low in the box. But it is settled now. The maker replied to my Q&A and he will mail it to me. He overlooked it I guess.

 

Thank you, @JinCIncy for showing your beautiful Emma! The more I look at her the more I like the sculpt and the shape of the eyes especially. I like how they are set slightly wide apart. Gives her so much character!

Thanks, all who complimented my sweater! It was fun to knit - sleeves are a bit on the short side but luckily, just the right length to look fashionable.

I don't have any pics of the other way around, but here is my FID Lawrence on a Raccoon Doll body. It's a great fit. I love him on this body. He is the normal resin.

Alice: Never mind - I'll leave it open.
Me: But the sleeves are too short, and not in a "fashionable" way.
Alice: Never mind - I'll just push them back. Now give me that jacket.

The centaur, you mean? Just saw it - friend of mine linked me the instagram post and wow! I mean, centaurs aren't really my thing but that body looks fabulous!

Yep, the centaur's the one, and a female by the looks of it. I agree, that body DOES look fabulous. If she is proper Raccoon Doll size, she's gonna be big. I am looking forward to this (and hope I can force myself to save up in time!!!! It's never happened yet, but there's always a first time ).

 

Huh, never would of thought centaur would be the route he'd go next.
