Ten days ago, Raccoon notice said 'acceptance.' The package sat until this morning when it said 'preparing shipment.' Then 'acceptance' again. I asked about DHL a few weeks ago, but Raccoon said it's too expensive.

Anyone else waiting in limbo?

 

Shipping is definitely filled with rabbit holes. I have a Dollzone girl coming from Clovering-Signing that has been sitting in Beijing since March 31st! I just emailed to see if anything can be done. An etsy seller was kind enough to offer me DHL shipping. It cost me an extra $16 but my package arrived quickly.

I just got a package from Korea that spent three weeks in customs!

Everything is a mess! Except DHL and FedEx!

 

Hi @nancy_schroeder_ca . It's so confusing. I wish Raccoon had quoted me a DHL price and let me choose. Volks Japan really stepped up their game, using DHL for overseas packages. My Small package - not tiny - didn't seem expensive at all. An sd17 was a bit pricier than EMS. But, 2-4 days, boom! There it is. No worries.
From the notification, I think Raccoon Doll had to fetch the package and start over. (Origin Post preparing)

My last package from Raccoon was a little slow but not too bad at less than two weeks.

 

I'm in limbo here too. As far as I know there is no EMS shipping to NZ from Korea at the moment and I have an order with both Raccoon doll and Iplehouse.

 

O, that's rough, Lyanne. My 'preparing shipment' is never-ending. Frustrating for all concerned.

@petiteballerine I feel your pain and hopefully your order will ship soon. I've got three Etsy orders sitting in Moscow since March and a new doll coming from Ukraine that will probably sit in Kiev for at least a month.

I did get my RD order on Saturday and thankfully it shipped out from Seul after about a week. I loved everything I got with it. Here's my Henry named Patrick.

 

@Patrice S - your lips to Origin Post's ear. Elf Kai shipped (actually on a plane) 11am korean time.


This will have a Henry head, too. Can't wait to see!

Here is my human Camilla who arrived with my Henry.

 

I'm in the same situation, no shipping to my country. And Raccoon replied, to my question, that DHL or other shipping company would be too expensive. I've been waiting since mid February... (But still better situation than with Supia where I've been waiting since October!)

 

The green is just right! Now she needs a name, a face, and a pair of shoes.



I wish Raccoon would just tell us how much DHL is and let us choose. We might agree with them; on the other hand - February.

 

Petiteballerine, your elf Lucy is so pretty! Absolutely stunning in that beautiful dress and hair. She really makes me want to take the plunge into different colours of resin, Congratulations!

For all who are still waiting on deliveries, I really, really hope you receive your dolls very soon (cos I can't wait to see all the photos!). Mine were shipped just a week ago, after lots of anxious daily checking of status in my account, and arrived in the UK straight to me within days. So it looks like deliveries might be starting to filter through?

OMG Ken! He's like a boy version of Iris, or maybe Sia. If I were in the market for a boy he'd be on my list for sure.

 

I really love the bone structure of Ellio and @skyealloway I can see Ken's resemblance to Iris but I also see some David in him.

Hi there folks! I think I've officially decided on Raccoondoll's - Sarah* with a glamorous body in white for my first doll. That being said I am trying to shell her for a specific character and while Alice's face is super cute I might have to look at other company's heads and I'm curious what size heads fit the female dolls from this company so I know where to start looking?

 

Hi all, my RD order from February event finally arrived. They decided to ship it via EMS Premium without charging me with extra fee as the regular EMS service still is not available to my country. That was really kind of them.
I unpacked my Laetitia on the new slim body yesterday and OMG - she's REALLY skinny! Even more in person than on the pics. I have to get used to her... Did you who got the new body and already had the old bodies or FIDs had the same impression? Or is it only me as I'm not fan of overly skinny...
Meanwhile, the posing of the body is much improved, especially arms and hands and she's holding the pose greatly.
@Egg Dishes which one is Alice? I'm confused, there is no sculpt named Alice at Raccoon. For what I know, Iplehouse FID heads fit to Raccoon bodies, but Iple doesn't sell heads separately so this requires a split or buying the head second hand.

 

Sorry I meant Sarah I have no idea why I typed Alice haha. Thanks for the tip though! I'll see what I can find second hand I guess.

@Sillion I really like the new body. I find the body slim but not at all skinny.

Sillion tbh i thought the same. I have Nana on the old slim body with small bust and got Gene/ Momo in the event with small bust on the new body and to me she looked skinny too. But what i disliked more is that they changed the mobility thighs. To me the old ones work a lot better and the knees look super big compared to the slimmer legs. Not my taste

 

EggDishes, as Khell's gorgeous Alice is above your message, I am guessing she may have entranced you?!
I don't know of any other heads to match the RD bodies apart from FID either. That's why these dolls are all so perfect and special imo. I wonder if Mr Raccoon might bring out a new lady soon, judging by instagram?... After all, the current event was down as "Event No.1", and was only for the men wasn't it? Or am I just wishful thinking

More pictures of the new slim body please, if anyone has a chance? That was going to be the body for my next girl, but now I am wondering how she might look against the older slim bodies my girls have.

Sillion, Congrats on your Laetitia! I am glad the new body poses well. She is one of my favourite sculpts.

It took everything I had a few days ago to do a photoshoot of all my dolls, but I haven't yet managed to take a photo of them together that I'm really pleased with They are all incredible and I luv 'em all - the problem's at the photo-taking skills end haha. Still need new clothes for them as well, except my sweet Momo...

sorry for the crappy phone pics but thought to show it. The mobility thigh is sculpted the other way round now which makes it kind of impossible to click in like it was possible on the one on the old body

 

Oh I see. Thanks Greeneyed-soul. The first two poses are very pretty I think. I am liking how she can sit sideways so elegantly, and that's a nice hip shape it creates. I can see how the leg posability of pic no.3 might take some getting used to I watched Alita Battle Angel the other night, and the body shape reminds me of grown-up Alita. A cyborg body would be cool come to think of it!

 

I totally agree with you! I admit I was curious and wanted to see the body with my very eyes and give it a try. But I can see the bugs and the knees are one of them. I ordered it with both Laetitia head and Nana head and Laetitia looks too large for the body proportions. Nana is more OK. I'm not generally against skinny, but there is something wrong with this body shape - it's neither feminine nor androgynous. If the waist was less narrow it would look more natural. I guess I have to finish my androgynous body project sculpt that I've started some time ago

I think Laetitia looks more natural on Iplehouse body (which is Hari's so no way to share it :-D). That actually wasn't such a great idea to buy one body with two heads, I have to buy another body, oooh!!

@Egg Dishes For your first doll I think it is easier to get a complete doll from one company. Raccoon has a lot of woman heads. You might want to look at them carefully ans see if one fits your character better.

 

My gray David arrived yesterday............here he is with my gray Gene. Love this color. Anyone else that owns David have issues with wigs for him? I'm finding all the 5/6 Monique and Iple wigs I've tried want to pop off, even if I put a wig cap under it. I finally got this one to stay on, but I'm not 100% happy with the fit.

I've been wondering the same thing @greeneyed-soul , since he put a new female sculpt teaser up on FB and Instagram.

 

I noticed one of the messages on instagram, where Mr Raccoon says the female event will start straight after the male one! So I'm hoping that will be Monday.

Sillion, thanks so much for sharing those pics! Your girls are all amazing. I adore the curves of the original bodies. I also think the new slim body suits the small bust, but it seems a different style altogether doesn't it.

Daang I wish I paid more attention to insta, I just ordered my female doll I'm still excited though, ended up going with Lucy on a Glamorous body.

 

He just showed another female sculpt yesterday. I keep wondering if he is going to do something in black resin after showing that black resin female torso.

Oh wow, thanks so much for posting the comparison - I've been wondering how the new body looks compared to the others, so this is so helpful to know! She does look quite different - I quite like it! Good to have a bit of variety in bodies, and this one looks taller, which is interesting. She looks quite similar in shape to some fashion dolls - now I'm wondering how various fashion doll clothes might fit... might be time to look up some measurements to compare!

 

Yeah, saw that new head on Facebook. If you sanded down the lower lip just a TINY LITTLE BIT, it could work very well for turning that lady into Jill Valentine (movie version). I guess I'm screwed ... *gg*

@greeneyed-soul I agree with the knee issue, this might be for me the greatest problem with the new body - I have really hard time making her stand with one knee bent or deciding how to position the knees to sit and look natural.

My Lara arrived today but she is blank so will hopefully paint her soon but I also bought a Monica head, painted and I am really happy with her! She is on an Iplehouse FID athletic body here...
