I really liked the show. I would like to make two main characters, but I cannot find a sculpture for them.
Eyt has a really Asian cut of his eyes, but you can make a European from it. From Chen too. But Lavier literally has the eyes of a European. So I painted barbarously against sculpture. You can clearly see Lavier's real face.

@KirinO17 Ahhh I see what you mean- the eyelids of Lavier are not 'Asian' in style, but it's amazing how much a face up can change a look of a doll!^^ Did you see the last post on Instagram from Pygmaliondoll? It's an older post, but there was a photo of a new sculpt that the artist was working on, I think. If that sculpt is released, then maybe it could work for your character of 'Untamed' :3

 

@Lotte Rotten Ummm. The last post was with a girl. She will make an adorable Asian boy, but will not work for the main characters of the series.

@Mahgiep Your Hana is lovely! The girl sculpt in the last Insta post by Pygmalion Dolls does not seem to be Hana. I hope Pygmalion Dolls will release new sculpts this year *fingers crossed*

I made a new character from the world "The Untamed" (Chén Qíng Lìng).
This is the spirit of the flute Chénqíng. (Pygmalion Chen)

He's missing the right wig. He also needs a flute. But this takes more time than faceup.

I have a question regarding the Pygmalion Teia71 bodies, I took out my Ha head to undress him and a small resin chip the shape of a C came out. Does anyone know where it goes it just fell out of the head? I didn’t pay attention where it was. Sorry I don’t have pictures to show I hope someone who owns the Teia71 bodies know what I’m taking about. Any help, thanks.

This is the detal under the hook. To prevent the hook from scratching the plastic. At the same time, you can increase the tension of the elastic.

 

I ended up sueding the little C chip because it wasn’t holding the s hook in place, it would just slip off, but thanks for your help ^_^

Pygmalion Dolls just opened up for pre-orders that include their 2 new heads Noah & Libra

Is anyone on here going to order their new heads? *curious*

 

I’m ordering Libra as a girl. Waiting to see her Kim Tae Gi default faceup or may get a custom faceup from him. I love Noah but I have soooo many floating boy heads. I’ll order a Supia Doll 65 body for Libra sometime. Neck is 10cm so hoping it will be okay with Libra’s neck hole that’s 10.5cm.

I have a terrible weakness for Pygmalion Dolls!

 

@Mahgiep Libra is also my favourite out of the 2 new sculpts- do you know if there will be more photos up of her styled in a more girly way? She looks quite boyish in the photos that currently available of her.

 

That’s the boy version.
They told me at 357partment that they will have sample photos of her default girl faceup soon.
Here’s what they said when I asked which is consistent with faceup prices on the Pygmalion website:


“We'll be releasing her default face-up image sometime next week.
We estimate the cost of the default face-up to be $150.”

Not sure if they mean this week or next…

Can’t wait for my Robin to finally arrive. I’be ordered him in white, I hope the colour matching for spiritdoll won’t be that hard in this skin tone… for sure it will be easier than the pink one, which is definitely too pink for me. Btw, I was reading Russian forums about pygmalion hybrids. One girl over there changed pink resin color to almost normal yellow-like by putting the head on sun for a week. Wanted to try this and to order pink one, but I didn’t want to risk. Anyone here did something like this with the pink Pygmalion resin?

 

I never had the nerve. I used a lot of white and pale green pastel on my first head, Chen. It worked well. Since then I ordered white.

would anyone happen to know if pygmalion sand beige resin is a match for doll family-a beige or doll family-h light tan resins? i really want to get a ha head and put it on either one of their 75cm bodies

 

Pygmalion's sand beige is very red. I haven't seen any tan like it. I'm not familiar with DF-A and DF-H beige or light tan, but unless they are very red, I doubt it'd match.

The good news though is that DF-A and DF-H do color matching, so you could probably have them match the body to your head.

 

I also had plans to match a Ha Head and DF-H body! Hope it works out and it's shared here!

A while ago (maybe a year?) the artist said she had health problems and was going to get married, I think.

Hello everyone, it's not totally official but sadly Pygmalion has mentioned that she will be focusing on other art endeavors going forward. She is also going through some personal issues so I'd definitely appreciate any well wishes and also respect for her privacy. I'll ask if she would like to post an official statement regarding this in the meantime.

 

Thank you for the info! I was wondering what had happened to the artist. It always makes me sad and worried when artists or companies get MIA. So many small companies dissapeared.

 

Ok, I talked to Pygmalion and she said there will be a final sale in April but after that, Pygmalion Dolls will be closing indefinitely and support will be over for them sadly. I'll post here and send out emails with more information later on, so if you would like to sign up for the emailing list, follow this link to the form.

With a final release hopefully still forthcoming before too long, I have been struck with a terrible case of indecisiveness. For those who have, or had, a head in the warm ivory skintone, what was it like to live with? From the various photos I have seen, it looks like it’s up there in terms of colour saturation to the point of being jarring, especially if placed with dolls of a paler semi-white kind of tone. Or is it really not that bad in person? I realize I could potentially order myself a Noah in both warm ivory and the white, but it’ll come down to cost, so would love to hear (and see) more from warm ivory owners. Thank you!

The White skin is NOT white. It's a pinkish normal skin.

Warm ivory is a light tan. It is also very pinkish and it's very hard to hybrid
It's close to Iplehouse Peach Gold but not quite close enough, a tad darker. (in my opinion, hybridations work better when the head is not darker than the body.) Warm ivory also works quite well with Dollshe copper oriental, though it is a tone lighter.
You can find companies that do resin matches like DFH or DFA. DFH seems to have really good proportions too.

But still Warm ivory is really a pain to match. I absolutely love the colour but... I sold my Ha in White to get a Ha in Warm ivory and I kinda regret because finding a body is a nightmare

White is on the contrary very easy to match! the difference in colours is much less obvious.

It's also easier to blush to make it match the body. My Noah head is in White and I blushed it to be light tan/Peach gold.

 

Thank you very much for the thorough reply and the photos! I really appreciate it. I did know/realize the “white” is more like a regular pinkish skintone. I have a doll in that kind of colour and would have liked my future Noah to be different/darker. I will probably go for the white because as you say, it’s easier to colour match with blushing if nothing else. I can aim for a slightly darker body and then get the head done up to match.

 

In the past I didn’t know how pink and dark warm ivory is. I bought a few heads in this resin tone. I used a pale green pastel to neutralize the red. It worked quite well. But I always have bought white since then.

 

I've read somewhere (probably here on DOA) that the red in pygmalion resin will fade nicely when exposed under sunlight
but i'm not confident enough to leave my heads out in the sun

 

I tried that first but they didn’t fade after a week so I gave up.

 

There is an option to order in real white, which does not have any additional pigment.

 

Me again. This is probably a longshot, but is anyone here in a position to compare warm ivory and Dollfie Dream tan? Or even compare it against DD Flesh? There’s method to the madness of my asking.
