Pygmalion Dolls

Oh yes, I have a Pygmalion Ha head here! I love the quality and the insertable teeth ^_^ The resin is lovely too. I can take some photos of him if you like, because there are very few online.

 

I just saw someone in the MP selling a head from this company and was like "Why have I not heard of this company before? That sculpt is beautiful!" I'd love to see photos of your Ha too~!

@zoziejane Oh, what an expressive face~! And his teeth parts are removable? That's always a plus! XD

 

Wow, I love the idea of removable teeth. Also point of interest, Pygmalion is from a Greek myth where a sculptor fell in love with his statue and the gods made her real.

 

Yeah, they can be removed, which is awesome! I haven't painted the teeth yet, but I reckon they will look more realistic when I do ^_^ I love this sculpt so much!!

That's interesting about the Greek myth too- I did wonder where the name came from.

 

All their faces seem so fresh and realistic! Ha is very nice in kind of dreaming about something. Robin takes place in my heart! But they all are sold out. Is it forever or like migidoll system?

 

Like someone mentioned in a previous post, I saw someone selling a head from the company and instantly fell in love and did some digging. I think I know what my next doll is going to be because these sculpts are absolutely beautiful and the company definitely deserves all the fans!

 

Hello everyone! Pygmalion is a wonderful company to work with. They are super friendly. The quality is great. Currently right now I have a Ha in tan skin but he is not complete yet sadly. For those who are interested in their work you should shoot them an email!

 

@Jubei im actually highly considering getting a ha in tan! He's absolutely beautiful. The only reason I'm iffy is because I want to hybrid him (the body they sell is too bulky for the character) but matching tans is not a fun thing. Can I ask how the tan is in person? C: I'm always worried a company's tan is going to be too orange for my taste!

 

OMG I recognize some of these boys! KPop idols.... I'm so sure (although none of the ones I'm into enough to know the names LOL) Beautiful dolls

If anyone finds out a good hybrid body for these guys, i'd love to hear about it! These dolls are so handsome~

 

@Choctopi I think I'm going to try and hybrid one as soon as I save up enough money for both a head and a body o uod I'll post findings at some point. A friend with a few different body typed said I could definitely try the head on all her boys when I get him, to see what height/sizes he looks good on. .

 

They tan is lovely in person. No orange look at all. I do have Iplehouse real skin, light brown and Dollshe cooper oriental that I can possibly show together. I know for a fact that the light brown is off but I will throw it in there. Just got to make time to take the picture.

I did a little digging on the site and found the resin color guide as well and (assuming my laptops coloration is pretty normal) it looks wonderful and I'm pretty sure I'm sold on getting a head in tan Cx Just gotta wait for a payday or two now.

Me me! I love one of the Pygmalion heads in tan, but idk nothing about neck and skin matches for Pygmalion dolls/heads (especially in tan)

 

Oh man, I'm gonna have to skip ordering this time (it was a rent paycheck and not a "me" paycheck this week oopse ) but I'm definitely putting some money aside for next time. ; o;

Ah! Does that mean this is another of those huge heads? Well, damn. I had real hopes for a Kyle, but don't want to go down the giant body route.

Ah, nuts. I wouldn't want to go any bigger than a Spiritdoll Proud size. Such a shame. There are some lovely heads out there, but they seem to need those huge (and expensive) big bodies. He might just have been relegated to my sometime-never list, then.

 

By the looks of their instagram account, it seems like Pygmalion wants to make smaller sized dolls too, iirc! I'm holding out hope....

 

They have posted a picture of a 1:6 scale male, which looks promising. Only, that's another scale to be out on its own. I suppose he could play with my action figures.

I would just love some of the beautiful mature, realistic heads that have been coming out to be 8" and sit well on a standard 70cm body. It would open up options for hybriding. The best ones seem to be just too big. Not a whole, new scale entirely, just too big to be 70cm.

 

shoot, you're right. i thought it was 1/4 but my memory was off! 1/6 IS pretty small for that sort of detail in a doll... but still, the sculpts are so beautiful i think i'd give it a shot. hopefully they'll make one more like what you're talking about sometime.

 

But...Kyle!!!!! Ah well. I didn't need a longer wishlist anyway.

Hi, just pop in to say hello with my Pygmalion Robin (normal skin and his next is a SID).

Initially I purchased a head only from their website and in fact his resin was rather pink than I expected.
Plus it was not easy to find a well matching body for me as their TEIA71 was sold out.
In meanwhile he's on an older Iplehouse EID body, which seems to be propotionally matching for him.

Hopefully for next I would like to get their HA as he has an open mouth with teeth parts. :-)
Besides, they are going to release 1/6 size doll soon, too?!!

 

@SaikoXIX your boy looks marvelous! Finally have my boy at least 70% done. He just needs some clothes since most of the clothes I have do not fit. I do own the TEIA 71 body. Going through the trail and error phrase for clothes isn't fun at all.
