I heard that there are talks of puyoodoll discontinuing milk tea and chocolate skin due to risk of marbling QAQ which like ok most ppl know now that the darker colors have that risk...milk tea isnt even that dark tbh but just...disclose there might be imperfections?? if anyone here speaks japanese and likes having milk tea and chocolate as options i urge u to contact puyoo and tell them to keep it in their line up.

just made my first payment on my lala...next month she comes home! im so excited! i can feel myself wanting another puyoo in the future too, maybe in milk tea skin?

 

While waiting on the Egg 02 I ordered in October I got inpatient and found a Kaka boy for sale. I gave him an amateur faceup but I absolutely adore him.

I also tried to get my hands on a baby Kumako Lala but she unfortunately got lost along the way. I was so heartbroken that when a regular Lala came up for sale I desperately jumped at the opportunity. But I’m still longing for my baby.

Now my Egg-02 girl has arrived and that makes 3 kumakos. OMG these dollied are addicting.

Yeah I have to say that hot damn! the new heads are cute! The only thing that can potentially make me show restraint is that I don't know if I want the egg head to share a body with my Kaka (He's got my only Kumako body at the moment).

Update: I caved and got myself Egg-03 lol!

I’m desperately looking for this outfit for Kumako — I’ve lost out on it multiple times

All I know is the brand who makes it is called Dorothy? Does anyone who where that is or who it is?

I think it might be a good idea to reverse image search for this outfit should you still have the original images. Either that or maybe look up "Dorothy BJD clothes" on Taobao, I put a link below to a list of search terms, though I have to say that I think that outfit could possibly be a limited run so that might be a problem for you.

Thank you! I’ve never been able to get taobao to work ever on my computer — they always want a login. I remember you used to just be able to browse without making an account.

I don't know but searching that term with the addition of "Taobao.com" was able to work for me as I was able to search for things on Taobao that way, it's either that or a VPN in my case, but unfortunately, I don't really know of an app that can work. Sorry.

EDIT: I think I also mentioned reverse image searching? You can try that maybe?

 

That was the first thing I tried on Google, but sadly no go I think taobao has an image search but since I can’t get in…

 

Managed to get a boy puyoo on layaway....now the question is whether to keep his head or not....because i only need the body...i will have 2.5 puyoos all together once i finish paying off my layaways...oops

not very often, there was just one in June, they released kumako egg 00, 03, and 04! If there are releases it'll be announced on their twitter

They don’t wear standard MDD/MSD size shoes do they? Do they have their own sizing? I gotta make sure I’m stocked up for when my girl gets here! (=^･ω･^=)

 

ive been able to fit them into shoes made for msd, tho theyre just a teeny bit loose, not unusable tho.

 

Has anyone used or heard about the website (updated to remove shop name) for anything? They have quite a few items on their webpage and a quick google search plus checking on doa didn't pull up any reviews of people who've purchased from them outside of the website itself. I have my eye on a pretty outfit but I'm not sure if I want to spring for it blind, they only take CC's at the moment.

those could work u might just need to stuff a little tissue in the toe area! I've gotten some minifee shoes to work quite well too surprisingly also shoes made for Glitter Girls dolls/Wellie wishers dolls work well! I have my girl in a pair of Glitter Girl Shoes and it only took a bit of wriggling to get on!

Funny thing, I looked at the skin of the Kumako Kaka I have (cream) and noticed it was pretty much a perfect match for the semi-white skin on DDs! Makes me think of giving my EGG 03 head a MDD body and making it a hybrid....

oooh i think i saw a similar hybrid on the official puyoo twitter but it was milk tea skin and the mdd tan so it can def work you'll just need to figure out how to get the head on there!

I just got a hold of a Baby Kumako Egg-01 - in cream. I’ve been out of the hobby for years and years and I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into haha It was an impulse buy and I still need to find all the details. I just saw so many cute pictures on twitter ahhh so cute!

Thanks!! I plan to have her styled a little bit after Nene Yashiro from Hanako-kun. Kind of a Mori/Lolita/Punk style but not over the top. She’s going to have a brown base eye makeup

 

I fell hard for Kumako (and 1/4 chubby anime cuties in general) a few months ago and found this precious Egg-02 on the Marketplace a while ago. Funnily enough Egg-02 was about my least favorite Kumako mold until I saw her with the right faceup.

Oh I love her faceup! How cute! The faceup definitely makes all the difference! The nice thing about Egg-01 and Egg-02 are that they aren’t really restricted by the sculpt - you can paint the mouth however you want! That might make it a little bit harder too
