Project Runway Game 8 ~ The Pumpkin Patch Party Challenge WINNERS POSTED!

I'm currently fighting with pattern drafting for the main piece of my design, but it's all good and I'll have it wrangled into submission soon enough to meet the deadline. So yeah, working away.

 

I was fighting with a leaking basement this week (booo) and had some issues hand sewing some decorations and thought that I would have to start from scratch LOL I hope I make it in time though, I am quite behind (as always).

I am also curious about Mr. Turtle, can't wait to see how it turned out.

 

Elfmoon, after I got the right bit Mr. Turtle hollowed out nicely! I posed a progress pic back where I first posted a picture of Mr. Turtle. The main mage requests we keep our updates together and I figured that was a good place for my pics to congregate.

In other news, I have only the finishing touches to go on the dress itself (making it lay right and making sure Sara doesn't pull a Janet Jackson). I started on the accessories today and boy are they going slower than I anticipated! I sped up the process by a lot after a trip to the leather store to buy some tools and I now have one boot drying in my garage so that I can add the arch support, sole, and heel tomorrow hopefully. I also hope to get the other boot sewn together. I still need to make the belt, arm/leg bands, backpack, and bo. -_- Why did I list it out like that...seems like I have too much left to do.

I take terrible pictures and my friend at work is going to take them for me, but I won't see her until Monday. Then add some time for me to figure out how to work Photobucket all over again and I know I will not be ready for the Monday night deadline

I have a quick question. When it says all photos must be 480x640 does it have to be EXACTLY those or is that the max size? I am asking because in order to get my entry to be exactly that size I will have to do some creative cropping and distorting of my pictures to get them to be exactly that size. Eg: maintaining the ratio I get my pics to about 396 x 640

Nevermind, I had a brilliant moment of revelation in which I figured out how to make the pics whatever size I want, but still follow your rules...Put a background behind them to make up the extra space! I feel dumb for not thinking of that earlier

 

meh, I had already uploaded them, so it won't hurt to post them with the backgrounds. Now, I have all of tomorrow to decorate my house!

 

May I have an extension? I am not quite done..

May I humbly request an extension? I would like to try to finish by the original deadline, but I'm not sure that's how it'll turn out.

 

What a creative entry Luciana Jellyfish...I love it! And what a cute costume for your girl, cupricyo_ladany. Wish I was done already, but alas, not (and currently trying very hard not to run out of orange thread because I have no time for a fabric store run.) Back to the grindstone! Good luck on getting your costumes finished everybody!

Thank you for the extension! I am so close to being done, just last few pieces... as always... I haven't really sewn so much for a small doll before so I'm getting used to the scale LOL I'm making use of my long nails (grown specially for Halloween)

The only problem I have is the shoes and possibly the bag. I am kind of not liking what I have so far :S


And OMG!!! I am loving the entries so far The little strawberry is just too cute *squeeee!*

 

I am going to have to drop out o the competition. I have been sick and I have to make up too much stuff for college.

Almost done. Just waiting for some last minute drying time and then quick photo shoot. I *should* be done by midnight LOL
Next challenge? My biggest challenge will be to make it without an extension :P
