Getting closer to being done lots of bead work to finish

 

At this point I'm pretty much sewing the outfit on Andre. Especially the skin tight bits, made of wet look spandex. And since I didn't get enough of one fabric I'm having to change my idea on the fly.
Also, I was wondering if you wanted us to include an accounting of how much our materials cost.

 

Crap... if they want a cost estimate, I have no idea. Everything I used was fabric that's been in my house for 5+ years. XP

 

Well, glad I'm not the only one scrambling last minute LOL As always, pants are giving me issues. I hate sewing pants!!!! But I refuse to ask for an extension, yet again, even if it kills me.

skyFire Fox, I always half the price on old fabrics/clothes and if I am using only a bit of it, I cut the amount down even more. I think the goal is for $25 and I was told that a buck or two over will not discqualify you - but I'll let elfmoon confirm this

I'm with Blue Oracle I was hoping I could get most of it done last night but need more time. I will require an extension as well. Should be able to finish on Fri/Sat on my days off.

 

I to will need an extension. I've been so busy doing human costumes, I haven't had time to work on my entry.

Argh, I'm done. Just cropping the photos and need to tidy-up my planet synpsis. I have to say, I'm quite dissappointed with my outfit, but it's really my own fault - completely lost the muse at some point and then had to rush. Plus, the outfit completely took it's own path in the end and not really what I had imagined at the beginning of the month LOL
Anyway, better go finish this up...

I am sorry I missed your question Dear. The extension dateline is July 3rd @ 12:00 am {midnight} .... That day falls on a Sunday.

 

ARGH! I thought I would be able to get tons of stuff done this month but my new job is kicking my butt! Is there anyway I can get an extension?

 

Entry posted and I'm thrilled to finally finish one without needing an extension . I'm pleased with the overall look and how the fabrics work together. The end result was very close to my original design, although I expected the pants to wrap more on the sides and not show so much leg. For the sake of my sketchy science, we're just going to pretend my synthetic fabrics are actually a kind of silk.

Also, please disregard Anastasia's left eye. She only has one eye and normally wears a steampunk gear eye which wouldn't be appropriate for this challenge. I replaced it with a button meant to look like stone, but it is too close to her skin tone and shows up weirdly in pictures. Oops.

I really went overboard with the creation of my world/colony to the point where I ran out of time for all the background I wanted to write about it and yet I did write 6 pages worth. I had to greatly condense everything for my entry. Maybe if I actually participate in Nanowrimo this year, I'll do something with all this info.

Whew... made it on time. My entry is posted. So far everyone's entries are awesome. It will be a real competition. I had to scale back on my original plans because my imagination was running wild but time and my skills were way more limited. I thought the whole process was great fun.

 

Tonight at midnight it will be Sunday July 3. Or do you mean tomorrow night at midnight, when it will be Monday July 4? LOL!!
