I just wondered something. FloraLaguna said she put her photos up on her entry but I can see any just the titles of the photos. Is there something wrong with my browser?

 

hmmm...strange I saw them just up yesterday and I'm on the same computer but your right I'm not seeing them right now either...good question.

I'm really sorry, but I think I'm going to have to drop out. Megacon took up a bunch of my time this month (both sewing for Megacon beforehand, and losing that weekend), and I thought I was going to be fine, but then this weekend got lost to a bunch of crap from work (wound up having to remote in at like 4 in the morning to do emergency fixes) AND now I'm sick. So even with an extension, I think at this point I'd just be too rushed to do a proper job.

I've already got all my pieces cut, so I'm definitely going to finish this dress. I'll put it up in the sewing forum when I've got it finished.

 

Oh well as long as the judges can see them I guess. I tried in explorer as well and all I get is boxes with little red crosses. Mozilla shows nothing at all

 

good news i managed to get my outfit done finally! if all goes well i'll take photo's tomorrow and get them posted (but with my kids i can't count on anything so i'll hang on to the extension just in case! )

 

Sorry for letting you know so last minute, but I am going to have to drop as well. My camera is refusing to work and my backup camera is pretty much MIA.

 

I thought it was closed tonight at 1159pm? and then extensions are until March 2 at 1159pm meaning right before midnight correct?

That's what I thought too. I'm planning on taking my pictures today.

 

i'm trying to get my pictures up have the glamour, front and back view up just trying to figure out how to do a collage of the details. do i do it in flickr or adobe? i've never done one before

So I went ahead and added my pictures to my entry post despite the post from elfmoon earlier today that the challenge is closed, since it's not yet 11:59 PM on 2/29. If the judges won't accept my entry, let me know and I'll move the pictures to this post to avoid confusion in the judging.

Unfortunately my camera was acting up (I think it's getting to be time to put it out to pasture) and I couldn't compensate for that with my poor photography skills so my pictures alternate between dark and overexposed and resulted in no good "glamour" shots. Oh well. I'm really happy with the way my dress turned out and I love seeing everyone else's entries. I'm a sucker for beautiful formalwear.

 

Oh my gosh, I am so glad I am NOT a judge!! These outfits are so pretty, including the guys outfit!! WOW, really nice!!

 

No problem. I just hadn't seen any follow-up or clarification so I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to sneak something in if it was in fact too late. I worked hard on my outfit so I wanted to show it off, even if it wouldn't be judged.

Gorgeous designs so far! I should be able to finish and take photos when I get out of work...boy am I cutting it close. Unexpected company tomorrow morning so put a dent in my plans last night of completing.

 

All posted. Quite a challenge, Bailey refused to stand and I got a big ol' pretty blister from trying to tighten his stringing. But I will say I'm loving all the outfits! Everyone's are stunning so far!

 

Finally posted my girl's photos up. With less than an hour to spare - whew!!!!

 

Well alright after many agonizing hours completed and up...Photos aren't the greatest, still trying to figure out my camera and have horrible lighting in my house. I'm not entirely pleased with my entry I know it is not by far my best work, think I would have done much better with a girl...lol...but he sure has some glitz about him There are soo many talented people that have entered its always a joy to look at the your wonderful works of art. Good luck everyone.

everyone did amazing! all the guy's suits came out so well... looks like they were complicated and difficult to sew.

 

Oh yes! Bravo to each and every entrant! What an amazing group of exciting and innovative costumes this is.
