Post your Doll "evolution" pics! :)

Mio has had the biggest evolution. When I got her, I wanted her to be frilly and wear lolita stuff, but she's turned out to be a bit more business-oriented XD

I do miss that default face-up though T_T

 

At first I thought Cagalli might be a brunette cause her make up was dark.

she had mostlí hair and eye changings but still want different eyes for her x3

 

Haha! I love this thread. Seeing everybody's dolls go from their first state to their current one is so cool! It inspired me to show off the evolution of my 5Stardoll Mu Ran, Eli, who's gone through some INSANE changes since I first got him. :')

His first incarnation...... I'm not even sure what it was I was going for, but when he initially came home, I found out the hard way that his cheap wig showed off its price AND the pants I bought him didn't fit because his rump was far too big for any MSD I'd ever known. And he had the terrible gigantic eyes the company gave him...



So then, I had this doll with no clothes and bad eyes and an awful wig, and I was struggling. My mom said I should make him a girl, so I tried to, and, well, this cringey phase was the result:


It's so bad. SO bad.
I pretty quickly realized I didn't want him to be a girl after all. I bought him new eyes and returned him back to the gray wig, and though the eyes brightened his face, there was a lot missing from him. I couldn't really buy him new clothes (or find anything that fit him, for that matter) and I didn't really have the option at the time to buy him a new wig, so I was just really stuck with the doll and ended up not wanting to do anything with him for many months.

But! When I decided a year later that I would buy my second BJD, I had the opportunity to snag the perfect wig for him at the same time, and I brought it home with my new girl, and... When I put it on Eli, everything fell into place:


He became Eli, and he's been perfect ever since.

 

I think Angie's the one who changed the most out of all my crew! She has gone through a real transformation since I got her on ebay two years ago. I received her with her previous owner's face-up (in the "before" pic), which needed to be re-done so that was my first experience at customising dolls! Now she looks perfect to me
