i'm way to scared to do a face up ^.^; so i changed her eyes.

Dante, my F28 FCS has evolved quite a bit since I got him as he was basically an experiment in learning faceups!

Here he is from the very first pic the day he arrived until now.

This first pic was VERY blurry as I was trying to figure out digital cameras! This is also before I cut the wig he came with into the style the character Dante, from "Devil May Cry" wears:


This is after his wig was cut - he came with the 'natural' faceup by Volks:


This is my first faceup after I wiped the original off. Pretty extreme!



This is the next faceup for Dante where I lightened it up quite a bit more...but I didn't like how I did his lip lines:

These are Vincente's changes, my Dollshe Bermann I received from Yentown. When he arrived he had no eyelashes or definition of a faceup around his eyes. His lips were also splotchy:


I kept the original faceup for a while, but just went over it with more detail. I extended his eyebrows, added to his eyelids, added eyelashes and added detail to his mouth a bit:



This redo was inspired by the Hound release, I turned his mouth up more to make him more 'happy':


His current faceup. Still always along the same theme for him, but I fixed his mouth here and brought it back to a more 'neutral' shape:

Oh christ. Definately Ukyou. @_@ he's allready a whole year old, and looking back on his old faceups and photography skills... it's just amazing how different her is.

When I got him in January 2005:


Now, 2006. ;-;


He's gone through half a million faceups, mistakes, and adventures with me, and I love him just as I did when I first took him from his big blue Luts box. He still has his dragon tattoo and the henna on his hands, but, as you can see, those are about the only things that have stayed the same.

 

For me it would definitely be Miz.

Sakaki started out as a standard dreaming Shiwoo head (sorry no pics)
His cheeks were sanded down, his eyes opened, his mouth altered a bit and his nose sanded to a more eaglenose style.
He's the one I've modded the most, including his CP girlbody which chest I sanded down (and added boyparts)

I got him second hand, swapped out the eyes immediately. Faceup default, the wig, something I conjured up really quickly for his arrival.


Still with the default face, I made him the wig meant to be his default (only it stained, so...-_-)

I was so pleased with the Luts job I'd asked for that I didn't do anything but change his eyes and give him a wig... but it helped quite a lot (besides the clothes) to bring about the Silvan I have today.

Yay I'm glad I managed to find this thread!

Even though I've had gisli for only a few months, I feel he's really changed a lot. Now he's finally the way I want him. ^_^

It's amazing the difference the right eye and wig combo can make, even if the faceup never changes.

Tyr has undergone a number of faceups! For some reason I am never satisfied with it.>.< His most recent one seems to be my favorite so far, though I really did like his first one.


I absolutely hated this one. It was too light and I didn't like the lip color, it clashed with his eyes...


I darkened that faceup, but I still didn't like it...he just didn't look pissed enough


This one was nice but it was a little drastic:

I am planning on re-doing her faceup sometime soon.

 

My only doll that has really gone thru MANY evolutions is my Choa, Sabrina. She recently turned 2 (on halloween!).
I had had her for only a week in this picture. I had already tried to deepen her lip color a little here, as the CH default was too pale for my taste, gave her new lashes, some chalk eyeshadow, and more blush.

Then, I had to get out the paint and paint her a little. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. Outside in my ornamental cherry.

THEN I almost completely re-did her, everything but her eyebrows.

Needless to say, after her trip to Evenstar, Sabrina's journey is complete. Unless something literally happens to her faceup (unlikely!) this is how my beautiful girl will stay.

Aletheia I bought in the DoA Marketplace partially defanged. I gave her new fangs and a new faceup. A lot of people really seem to hate her but for me she has a strange charm. Like Trolls, so ugly they're cute.
NOTE: I no longer own this head. It now belongs to SourDotz and has gotten a beautiful, airbrushed faceup.

Alyssa I bought on the very first Unoa preorder. She was my first kit and an experience to assemble. She's been through MANY MANY faceups and I'm still not satisfied with her look.

Elda came with Ichiro's body from Luts. She now has a lovely faceup by Kittymaru.

​

Ichiro was the sleeping head from the Sooni special that I ordered for the body for Violet. He's had this same faceup for almost five years now.

​

I bought Lily in the marketplace as a twin for Violet. The sale didn't mention that she was BW, and I got her for a fabulous price ($125 incl. shipping and insurance) She's my lucky lady.

​

Violet has been with me the longest. She was my first ABJD in 2001 and has been through, literally, over 100 faceups. She needs redone. Again.

​

Alice/A-ko/A-01 hasn't been with me long, but she's undergone some massive modding. I don't have a before picture, but she was bought as a default machina.

Here's Biscuit on his first day at my house. He looks about twelve in this picture and he's hugging a teddy bear. He has his default DoD face-up, eyes and wig.


And here he is in his femmy stage. Still all default, though.


And then he got a black wig, clearly, this is where he started becoming who he is today.


And he demanded tight pants...


But sadly, his face-up had worn off a bit. It became clear that he needed to be repainted, and so I gave him a new look. Also, he acquired more emo clothes and cat ears. He couldn't be any more perfect!

This is Phir when he got here, default eyes and all.



This was his first face-up done by me. I messed up because I coated him while he was still wet and I TOTALLY screwed his blushing up. The later faces were SO MUCH better.




I would consider this his much more natural face up, and technically, probably the nciest, considering that his lips were the right colour and in my opinion, he was versatile and looked drop dead gorgeous in a boring way.




This is how he looks now (it's temporary, but it'll stay for a couple months. PROBABLY until I buy him some nicer clothes. THEY haven't evolved.)

My boy Sefa's progress pictures. He arrived on 22nd March in his default DOD wind style wig. Then I got Iplehouse's Gold Brown mohair to style. After the 4th of November, I dun wanna touch his hair anymore. He looks terrific already.
He is wearing Red eyes instead of Blue because it was his Halloween getup.

Sefa is suppose to have blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. Enjoy!~

Hajime Before - Default Tender Too faceup by DoD. I really disliked the shading on the eyes and the high arching eyebrows but I grew accustomed to them overtime coz I didn't have the money to redo his faceup .___.;;;
