I'm hoping that when it's back on line it will showcase the new collection!! I'm so excited by the sneak peeks we've already had and I can't wait to see the rest.

Oh and by the way, for any of you guys who aren't on the Popovy forum, Igor has announced that there will be an upcoming competition (possibly drawings inspired by Popovy dolls)...so stay tuned!

These dolls are perfection, but what appeals to me the most are the wigs. They're unbelievable. I really want to get one.

 

The site is back up and running but the new collection is not there... I really want to place an order soon. The wait is hard

I live in a similar time zone as sisters, so I'm sure I will have a chance to see the new collection today. I am so excited that I would not fall asleep anyway hahah. I am sooo very happy that we will order at a similar time happy for You to!!

"Today we came up with two new outfits for new collection and could not resist to make it so we decided move presentation to the end of the week But it'll worth it!!"

 

Here is an update.
Sisters was about to release new collection today. But during this day they came up with two new outfits. It was a hard decision, cause they're so exited to release new collection but they decided to hold it off a bit more, until they make those two new outfits
I know how hard it is to wait and how annoying this delays are but i think it'll worth the wait.
So far I can explain how it'll be organized. Sisters have made more outfits then dolls for presentation
For presentation we will have 5 dolls each will be introduced in 3 different outfit options. So after all dolls will be sold some extra items will be left and will be possible to purchase in different combination or it'll be possible to order new doll including those items.

 

Thanks for the update Igor... I have a question - If I decided to just get a nude doll with make-up (no outfits or wigs) will there be a new make-up option available to choose from this new collection?
I hope that makes sense....
Basically are there going to be new make-up options added for nude dolls?

Personally I'm excited for the outfits! Of course excited for the dolls too but I'm glad they are making more clothes popovy sisters clothes are so unique and artistic!

 

Me too but only to look at for now as I would never be able to afford a doll + outfit at this point in time.. sigh* so many amazing items!

Igor, I'm fascinated by the wigs. How are they made? With a wire armature? Do the sisters make them? They are so out of this world cool. Thank you!

As for wigs, Sisters use their own techniques and them in secret

Yes, the new dolls are up on the Popovy Sisters website in the gallery section under "Royals". Absolutely stunningly beautiful and amazing....I want them all!

The 'Royals' dolls pictured are available for direct purchase now....anyone interested just needs to email Igor for the prices. Posts on their Facebook page indicate that one doll is already sold and another reserved.

RoyalBarjack some of the items are ooak, some are limited edition (don't know which ones) and the rest I'm sure will be available for future order in the Sister's catalogue.

 

So did anyone get to order anything from the new collection?

 

I'm excited to say that I was able to order a Dark Peewit yesterday, compliments of my partner, who very generously agreed with me that she would make a wonderful Christmas present! Unfortunately, no full costume, wig or shoes, but I did manage to stretch to a little black, beaded collar! My only fear now, is that he will make me wait till Christmas to open the box....and that would be torture!!

 

Oh congrats Merrijane, she is my favourite along with Albino Little Owl!!! I had ordered Peewit just days before the release as I was convinced that I would prefer the face I chose over the Albino Peewit but when I saw Peewit in the black wig with dark lashes and albino looks I kinda wished I had waited I know my girl will be amazing though but yes the girl you chose is perfect, congrats!

Yes, thank you for the interview. I enjoyed reading it and the questions you asked were ones I was also curious about. I'm glad you posted a picture of the sisters. They're as pretty as their dolls! Reading their philosophy about wanting their dolls to reflect a real girl with emotions and imperfections made me want one all the more. Congratulations to those who were able to order one recently!

I sent you a PM earlier but now I have another question.

I just now found out how tall a PD is .....15 3/4". But I've been told that Ellowyne & Gene clothing is too large for her. Then someone thought that the Popovy's might be able to wear "Barbie" clothing. That's off the charts small. Can you help me with the size clothing that can be bought. Obviously I can't afford the outfits made for them.

I've just been in touch with Igor, the sisters' do intend to make Blue Jey and Boney in open eyes but don't know when. I don't know if I can hold out, might have to order Magpie on the mean time!

 

Oh really? That's awesome news. I'll start saving for an open-eyed Bony then. She is one of my favourite sculpts.

 

Oh good I have something to save for! I looove Blue jey! Though I really like the Royals' collection too!

 

Now I am trapped. Blue Jey is my favorite sculpt. Bue Jey with glass eyes is all I need.
Another question I could not find an answer. What about resin yellowing, has anyone experience with? Does Popovy resin have UV cut?

 

I was wondering the same but I have read that the Sisters use very high quality resin. They appear to have very high standards and use great quality materials with their clothing, wigs etc. I am sure the resin is of equally high standards.

 

Our factory uses one of the best UV protection agent on the market. We never had complains so far. But we always recommend not to expose dolls to direct sunlight and extreme temeperatures.

 

I'm getting an open-eyed Little Owl soon. I've only had bigger dolls before. Is it hard to change the eyes? I've heard that the head can be difficult to put back on. Is there a special way to do it?

There is nothing special in changing eyes. It can be unusual for you if you used to handle bigger dolls. You don't need to completely take off the head to change eyes.

 

I just received my Peewit this week and the first thing I did is change her eyes It's very easy and the head is also easy to remove, if you wish. But it's possible to change the eyes without removing the head.

I have to say: the quality of the doll is absolutely outstanding! It exceeded my expectations in every way. The joints are very tight, the resin is beautiful and the sisters did a wonderful job with her makeup. I've been battling a cold so haven't taken many photos yet but here is a quick one of my Peewit

Thank you, Igor! I'm not used to tiny sizes, but I think, like with everything, it gets easier with practice. I remember, many years ago, when I was afraid to change eyes on an SD13! Now I don't think twice about it.

does anyone know what the wait time/shipping time is for a blank doll right now? i'm wondering whether i could possibly get one before the christmas or if i should wait till after christmas to order to avoid having her lost in the christmas mail?

 

I have been waiting close to a month, apparently they are waiting on dolls to come from the factory. That is my worry too, Christmas mail!
