All skin colors cost the same. Body III is slightly more expensive than Body I and II, most likely because there are more parts.
You can also order extra parts (I bought a second pair of hands ^^)

 

@Sept Cool, thanks! I'm trying to decide on a mold right now. Initially, Landy is what caught me recently.But now that I'm seriously considering I'm at a loss between Landy, Magpie and Peewit.....I think body III is what I'd get for sure though...

Anyone have a basic pattern for popovy clothes. I’m looking to start making clothes for my two girls, and in need of somewhere to start. Maybe Tonner patterns would work?

My first Popovy will be here this week, Peewitt in moca on body II (bought from an individual but she’s new and doesn’t have a faceup). I have nothing for her and she will get proper wigs, clothes and shoes in due time. But for now can anyone please tell me if any common fashion doll items fit such as bras, tops or skirts? Also I don’t seem to be able to locate the forum for these dolls. Hope it’s ok to ask here. Excited!!!

I have a little request: could anyone with a girl in the pearl gray skin tell me what the gray resin is like in person colour-wise?
I've had a few grey dolls in the past, and some of them have had a more blue-ish or purple colour to the resin, and others were a warmer shade of grey with more of a yellow or green tint.
I love grey resin, and I'm currently torn between that or the sand skintone, so it would be nice to get a better idea of what it looks like so I can try to decide

 

I'd say grey is not blue or purple based. It's a light "pure" grey.
Here is an untouched pic of my Landy before she got blushed, her head is over-exposed but her legs are pretty much the real color:

hi guys! I trying to find maesurments of the Popovy doll. I will be making some clothes and thought it would be no problem to find size chart, but it looks like its imposibble! Can't fine anythere. Is strange that Popovy dont have it on their site. All artist I encountered do...

How tall the doll is? and can you please measure length for a pants? I mean waist to the ankle... I put together in your measurements number 9 ( above knee to ankle) and 18 (waist to above knee) but still unsure! Is it really 22,1cm?
feels little short.. what is why I wonder dolls whole length. Is she so much sorter then Tender creation?! I trying to change my TC pattern to a Popovy and don't have a doll.
I would really appreciate your answer!

 

@Candid : The whole doll length is 39 cm, I have measured the body II on the heeled feet.
The waist to the ankle is for me 23 cm. The 22,1 cm is also right, if you mean a little bit lower waist. ^^

Did anyone else see on the Popovy Sisters' Instagram that they are making five new faces! They've only poster a teaser yet - you can't see any details, but this is such neat news!

They also said this was "only the beginning" so perhaps they are planning more body changes, or even jointed shoulders (which seem to be getting popular) or something similar.

I can't wait to see the new faces! I've always liked the Popovy Dolls, but none of the faces really called to me, even though I really like Peewit and Little Owl. I'm very curious to see if they will remain in the same style as the previous faces, or if they will be something different.

 

I can't wait to see what is planned for Popovy dolls this year, especially the new face sculpts. And perhaps some of the painted eyes sculpts will get open-eye versions this year too?
I feel like you do @StellaMarigold about the current faces, in that I like most if not all of them, but there hasn't been "The One" that really calls to me yet. I really hope that 2019 changes that, because I so badly want one of these dolls!

 

I think the Popovy dolls are the most beautiful BJD's I've ever seen, with their whimsical, sophisticated, highly detailed sculpts, and avant guard wardrobe. Truly artistic! I am so excited to see what the sisters have in store for us this year, but I cannot imagine loving anything more than what they currently offer

 

Yes, this is such exciting news!! It's hard to imagine them coming up with sculpts any more beautiful than the ones they have now!! I too was wondering if they will open the eyes of one or two of the present sculpts. I hope we don't have to wait long!! I am checking Instagram like 5 times a day. LOL... Anxious to see what their next theme will be!!! The Sisters continue to out-do themselves and AMAZE ME!!!

I'm so excited. I've been paying off a Popovy Little Owl in their phantom skin tone and I only have one payment left. I can't believe she'll soon be here in March!

 

I hope I’m posting this in the correct place! Does anyone know if Popovy wigs fit all Popovy dolls or do they have substantially different head sizes. I want to buy one from Ursisana for tawny owl but we aren’t sure of her head size as I don’t have her yet.

Just jumping in to this thread to share the love! I actually am lucky enough to have been able to save up for two of their gorgeous dolls now (both blank): Little Owl in Moka skin and Landy in Pearl grey skin.
I love them both so much

It took me forever to decide between Magpie and Landy, but in the end Landy was haunting my dreams, so I had to get her
sometime in the future I would love for a Peewit to join my dolls, but we'll see what else they will come up with in the meantime. I might get a completely different doll in the end haha!

 

Congratulations @ThinkPink! Little Owl is one of my favorites, and Landy is really cool.

I personally cannot decide between Little Owl and Peewit, so I'm hoping future releases (I think there are supposed to be more new heads released over this year) will break the tie! Tawny Owl is really gorgeous, too. The realism is stunning on such a small doll.

 

@StellaMarigold I hope you can decide when new dolls are released, forr me it usually only makes it harder to decide, because my wish list expands haha.

You need to email Igor for prices. They sell for about $800/850, though they may have increased in the last year or so.

 

The new body is slightly more perhaps $950 if I remember correctly? The old body is still $800ish

 

Thank you do you know if the skin tone in the official pictures is coral? I am going to have a hard time deciding as I love the chocolate too!

 

I really hope so as I’ve ordered coral based on the assumption that’s the colour of her skin tone in the official photos! I really like the makeup option for chocolate tawny owl so I had a hard time deciding too!

@DaemonFae : You will not find the measurements on the site.
One of Popovy doll owners, @tuneful87, has measured the body type II, and there was a link to the detailed measurements on the page 44 of this thread. Unfortunately the link is not working anymore (no image available), but you can probably ask @tuneful87 for the correct link to the measurements. ^^ The body types III and IV are a little bit different, though.

The Popovy dolls have gotten my interest recently. I really like the high heel feet and delicate sculpt work. It looks great for fashion. I can definitely see myself owning Little Owl in the future!

 

Does anyone have a photograph of the inside of a Popovy wig? I love the way they look from the outside, but I want to see the structure on the inside!

Has anyone ever hybrided a Popovy head with another body?

I like the Little Owl eyes head, but I don't like very much the proportions of the Popovy bodies (they are very well made, just not fit for my style). So, I was wondering if anyone has ever made a hybrid with a Popovy head and what body could fit it, for the case I have the money in the future. Picture from popovy-dolls.com

 

To my knowledge, Igor told my friend the Sisters do not sell floating heads ?

 

If that were the case I could just buy from the Sisters the whole doll and then sell the body in the second hand market separately. I remember once someone on Facebook who was selling a full Popovy doll and a floating head.

You're welcome! Popovy dolls are truly exquisite, but since I don't like their body proportions for a BJD doll I just thought "hey why not try to hybrid them?" . That's a very long term plan tho, I need the funds first xD and to complete other doll projects that come before this one.
