Finally I have managed to get use of a laptop so I can share a pic of my wonderful Peewit...Here she is wearing her new wig, shoes and underwear, which I comissioned @Dressmaker to make for me.


Aaaand here she is wearing her dark wig which @Dressmaker made for me...

Oh goodness, seeing everyones pictures is definitely making me want a Popovy girl even more! I am so in love! I love the wigs you have your girls in @HoneyRyder and @chrissa5girl !

Just wanted to say I have some eyes which I ordered from Glazki which have 2.7mm Iris and look great...plus the Iris contains a Moth...well I couldn't resist that!!! Also ordered some other more natural looking which are great

 

Did you get the 7mm or the 8mm eye size?

 

Hi Chrissa ... I ordered both a pair of 7mm and a pair of 8mm...and she can wear both, in my opinion the 8mm fit slightly better and in future orders I will buy 8mm with the 2.7 Iris. I am really happy with the value for money too. Aaaand it gives me a chance to try different colours and looks

Edit... Ok in my original post way up here, when I first mentioned Glazki eyes, I actually said that I had ordered eyes with a 2.7mm Iris, which are not 8mm they are smaller than 8mm.
As I have now received eyes from Glazki which are 6mm & 7mm with their corresponding smallest Iris my future comment to Chrissa about 8mm eyes was a simple error on my part, oops In my opinion the 8mm eyes with the smallest available Iris from Glazki looked / fitted the way I preferred....the 6mm & 7mm both fit her extremely well too. I am just up for experimenting and trying out new looks. Which is why this eye company is such good fun, bearing in mind their prices??? You are not ever going to receive eyes on par with the ones the sisters use, for this money!!!

@Dreadfulme ...are the wonderful Bactro swoon swoon...I am relatively new to the hobby, and missed my chance completely of owning one of these beauties!!! Definitely a Grail Doll for me. Did you buy her from Mewiefish herself?
As for the faces of Popovy, it is a difficult one. I truly love Blue-Jay and wish she had glass eyes, I would have ordered her in a breath. I really fancy owning a Bony one day too... I love the Peewit face, for my character she is perfect, as I imagine her to be slightly mature, older lady who has had her sparkle dulled in life, but still manages to shine somehow, heh

 

No, I found Bactro second-hand... I wish I could have gotten her through the preorder because I actually wanted another color over the blue-grey that I have now but its ok, I love her still.

Yes I agree, Blue-Jay and Bony are very lovely. I probably would have wanted Blue-Jay if she were an option but I think I will go with Cuckoo ... Now to decide on which skintone ....

 

Could I ask if was a marketplace here, or other social market place you found bactro??? I have often wondered if she is ever likely to pop up for sale???
Arrrrr, Cuckoo ( we are very similar in our aesthetics) I originally plumped for her, and then showed a pic to my boyfriend... He was not very positive in his description of her looks!!! So I went with Peewit, as he was kinder about her, heh The skin tone choice too???? I love the new skintones especially the sand, but I knew I needed to own a classic Ivory skin Popovy and I do tend to lean towards pale, unhealthy beauties ... But these dolls really do belong in pairs!!!!they are true SISTERS ... So maybe my next girl will be a sand coloured Blue- jay with the glass eyes aaaand that would be perfect. Have fun choosing your girl, you will not be disappointed when you are holding her!!!!

Hello! I was wondering what eye size can they wear? I just got my doll, and I would love for her to have more eye options

 

perfect eye size is:
eye ball: 8mm
iris 2.7mm
pupil: 1.2mm

 

Congrats...which sculpt caught your heart the most??? Did you also get the sisters to complete face-up too???

Little Owl has captured my heart for such a long time and the second was Bony!
I hope they make more face sculpts
And no, I wanted to try and do her face up for an OC of mine

I received my Bluejay! Unfortunately I can't share a picture here since she has the painted eyes, but I did the faceup myself and had so much fun ^^ I was really really impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the doll. Highly pleased ^_^

 

I dont really know how to explain her, but maybe a fallen angel would make much sense haha. I will post pics when I complete her. I chose the ivory and i got her in like 1.5 months. faster than expected

I too picked the Ivory, even though the new sandstone and Mocha were released and gorgeous...I just kept going back to the Ivory!!! It is the most perfect resin shade for a doll, in my opinion. Now I think how wonderful my Peewit would look with a Sister in Sandstone, heh

Congrats on your girl... The honest truth is Blue-Jay is my first choice every time!!! But, I wanted one which was on-topic as I already owned too many other dolls which were deemed off-topic!!!

Edit- Nov 12th... Seen the pictures of my fully blushed Peewit Body, which has been painted to match her head. I am so excited to get my wonderful girl back home, she is looking like everything I had imagined plus a little bit more!!!!

@SunshineGirl ...Do you have a Flickr account? Or any other public access account which I could see pics of your Blue-Jay? I think it is very interesting to see how individual people paint the Popovy Sisters dolls.

It's so nice reading about your new girls! I love the Popovy resin and poseability.
I am so happy with my Cuckoo. I just took some new photos of her. I have not had time for my dolls lately, but vow to make more time, especially after reconnecting with her.

 

Everyone's girls are so gorgeous. I'm hoping to be able to being home Little Owl early next year . Please keep up all the wonderful pics as inspiration !

I have an instagram where I post her pictures. I actually did an eye opening mod on her, and I did ask if she would be on topic here but she still isn't -shrug- but both versions are on my instagram at sunsginegirlbjd

 

I am so frustrated to hear that even with an eye opening mod, Blue-Jay is still deemed as OT by the Mods!!! As I understand the criteria It was the lack of changeable eyes which make Blue-Jay OT...so once she can have inserted eyes that would be all the boxes ticked...???

My Peewit is still a plane ride away from me being transformed... I am hoping to get her shipped home next week her body blushing and face up are astonishing, the realism just amazes me. Wish I was an artist

 

They said that since the sculpt itself wasn't designed that way, it's off topic no matter what you do to it. I'm excited to see your Peewit though

Could I ask people for their opinions and info on eye lashes for our beautiful dolls?
I have just today received my Peewit back today after her epic journey to Italy for a face-up and body blush, which has turned out amazing I cannot wait until I take some pics in decent lighting to share.
Only one thing required now is the correct size lashes!!! And I have no experience doing this or buying them....any help or info would be great.

@merrijane ... Your picture is so lovely. The resin colours look so wonderful together. I really like the little shoes which Peewit wears and the wig which cuckoo wears is just so perfect. I wish I could have ordered shoes, wigs , lingerie one day hopefully!!!! I love to see your photos

Sisters use custom eyelashes 4-5 mm long. I'm pretty sure you can find this size on the market.

It is lovely to have Popovy accessories I agree, but sometimes we just have resort to making things ourselves...that's why I made the shoes that Peewit wears!

Hello you lovely people! Im still anticipating to paint my Popovy myself , keep changing my mind about make-up, I do love gentle hardly there make-up but quite tempted to go with red-cherry lips on the other hand!

I have found that I am terrible to own blank dolls...reason is I kind of love that blank canvas and when I look I can see so many possibilities!!! Like you said, I also like too many styles and can see a variety of styles which would suit one doll. The reason I managed to complete my Peewit so quickly was because I had the artist and style already decided before Peewit arrived. If I had held on to her charming blank expression for too long, I fear she too would have been the doll of many faces who has none !!!! He he .... I look forward to seeing your completed girl too

Lol! I got exactly the same . I got few ideas for my Peewet, and it was a problem for me to pick up one. I am just fall in love with Popovy , specially when sisters released new body! I can tell for sure that these dolls are my favorites, and talented sisters as well as artists. If I could be rich as hell I would have all facemolds in my doll cabinet. I own as far two open eyes beauties.
